4th Round Duel - Whole Group Duel - ENDED

::Duck could feel her heart pounding against her chest as she crept slowly through the woods. High above her, the crescent moon provided just enough silvery light to see, dappling the undergrowth in an eery silver glow.

Moving forwards, she decided not to light her wand just yet - the moonlight was sufficient at this point. Carefully treading on the mossy ground, she was glad that the rain of the day before had soaked the twigs and leaves, which meant that they did not snap or rustle as she trod on them.

She couldn't see very far ahead, and the silence of the night was oppressive as she held her wand outstretched, ready for anything that came her way.

Suddenly remembering to cast her shield charm, she carried on walking through the woods, looking for an opponent.::

::Ginny walked slowly into the woods, trembling. She was so nervous, as this duel was to be going on at night. Ginny was also a little scared, but only a little. She decided that she would light up the woods a little bit::

"Accio (summoning spell) fallen branch!" :Ginny then waved her wand in a circular motion, then touching the tip to the fallen branch's tip:

"Vider au spectateur. (Light to the Beholder in French): She smiled slightly as the branch sparkled and flamed merrily. The spell she had cast would allow only her to see the fire, and all her opponents would see was her holding a stick. Ginny thought she saw a cloak disappear behind the tree, but something told her that she shouldn't call out. As an extra precaution to make sure that she would be able to see well, she put her wand on her nose in between the space between her eyes.:

"L'oeil du chat (Eye of the Cat in French):Ginny blinked twice, the woods now doubly illuminated. She placed the lit branch in the nook of two tree branches, making sure it was secure before going to hide behind an oak. Ginny took a deep breath and then spun around to face her opponent, casting the spell:

"Aguamenti! (Water creating spell)"

::Jen walked cautiously through the dark woods and she listened for any sounds of the other duelers. She quietly muttered her trademark shield spell on herself "Contego Ebullio." [Shield Bubble] Spotting Ginny on the other side of the woods, Jen put on the invisibilty goblin made bracelet her mother had sent her just a few days earlier. As she put in on the bracelet glowed green for a second before making her become invisble. She then creeped up behind Ginny to surprise her, but accidentaly stepped on a twig with a loud crack. Quickly Ginny turned around and Jen saw a stream of water flying her way! She dove to get out of the line of attack and hit the ground. Surprisingly the stream of water hit Duck who was behind a tree, instead.::

::Pointing her wand to her throat, Jen muttered again, "Voxvocis Reus." [voice bouncing spell]. This enabled her to talk to Ginny without Ginny knowing exactly where she was positioned. "Well, we're the last two Hufflepuffs in the duel Ginny! Good Luck. Voco Nidor Mandrake." This caused Ginny to be dretched in the smell of mandrake plants. Almost immediatly several Dugbogs appeared and started circling Ginny with a hungry look on their face. Still invisible, Jen ducked behind a tree and waited. 'Don't hurt her too much,' Jen thought to herself. 'She's our brillant songwriter.'

Pillow nervously stepped into the dark forest. It was, hense the title, dark.

"Conego Ebullio" (shield bubble shape) (i know jenn just used it, lol, but i translated ot the same thing too, lol)

She lightly ran into a tree to make sure the shield was good. She bounced back. It was.

Slowly, she walked towards her opponents.[/strike]

::She whimpered slightly and backed up against a tree. A dugbog took a swipe at her, catching her leg in a scratch.::

"OW! It appears as though I'm behind a locked door without an alohomora..." ::Ginny whispered with a slight chuckle. She slowly moved her wand so that it was pointed directly at her chest:: "Geruchlos (Odorless in German)" ::The odor of the mandrakes was decreased. Now all Ginny had to do was convince these lovely creatures that she was not something to be eaten.::

"Bewegen Sie weg! (Move away in German)" ::The dugbogs were pushed back by the force of her wand some 6 yards. Ginny then broke the connection and quickly cast another spell::

"Kreaturblock!" (Creature Block in German) ::Each time the dugbogs tried to enter the area, they were thrown back as if there was a wall there. Ginny smiled. There...no un conjured animals wandering into here She heard Pillow approach, and cocked her head quizzically as she walked into a tree but bounced back. Some sort of shield, perhaps? Let's see how strong it is...:

"Sprudeln Sie Knall!" (Bubble Pop in German) ::If Pillow's spell was strong, the bubble around her wouldn't pop. But if it wasn't, then pop goes the Pillow protection::

Pillow shook her head with a grin at Ginny. "Sorry." She smiled. "My spells are strong."

"flamen!" (wind blow in latin) She shouted at everyone. She smiled as the strong spell nearly blew all of them off their feet.

"Woop!" ::Ginny gasped as she was blown backwards (un)fortunately, she was stopped by a tree. She rubbed her back, which was slightly sore and faced Pillow.::

"That is quite apparent. But, let's see how your Bubble Shield helps you with this! Vizio! (Vice in Italian)" ::A golden ring began to glow around Pillow's neck. At first, it looked like a pretty choker necklace. Then, slowly, it began to get tighter, and tighter, and tighter.::

"Not so nice having a bubble around you when you're struggling to breath." ::Ginny said. She looked around, not seeing Jenn anywhere.::

"Prendere il Jenn" (Find Jenn in Italian) ::A small spark erupted from the point of her wand and went about the woods, trying to find her opponent. While she waited, Ginny decided to make sure that her other opponent would not try and bother her while she was trying to defeat her other opponents::

"Hmm...what to do...Oh. Chiuso a chiave in (Locked In in Italian)" ::She flicked her wand sharply, and Duck's body was locked into a stiff form, as though invisible locks had come and padlocked her to a tree, which, in fact, they had.::

"Good, now where is that little spark of mine?"

::Pillow's spell blew Jen (who was much lighter since she was invisible) to the top of a grand oak tree. Luckily Ginny was only concentrating on the area surrounding her, she didn't think to look up where Jen really was.::

"Perpetuus Fog." Jen muttered from above Ginny. Instantly the forest became filled with gray fog that could not be blown away or removed. Everybody was encased in the fog. Yet the fog only extended to the ground up to 6.5 feet. This enabled Jen to still see the shadowy movements while everyone moved about. When they looked up, however, they didnt see anything but trees because she was still invisible. She started to send various hexes toward each of the figures in the fog.::

"Densaugeo! [teeth growth] Avis! [small flock of birds flew toward one figure] Incarcerous! [ropes started to tie around another figure.]" Jen waited to see what would happen. Since her voice was bounced around, each dueler thought she casted the spell right behind them.::

:Ginny looked around for the caster of the spell, Jenn of course. She would have to be the Hermione of Hufflepuff. Ginny's flame, had remained where she had left it. She plodded over to wear it's shining warmth was, and pulled it out of the tree. Just as Ginny did this, the little spark she had sent to find Jenn came over to her.::

"Okay, where is she?" ::She asked. The spark morphed into an arrow pointing up. She looked to where it was pointing, and couldn't see anything. The arrow spark disappeared, leaving her to her thoughts.::

"Nothing I can do about her yet-ah!" ::She squeaked. Several birds had just attacked her::

"Darned birds!" ::Ginny said, taking out her wand.:: "面包! (bread in Chinese.)" ::She pointed with her wand at a spot on the ground, where bread formed. The birds flocked over to the bread, and Ginny's attention was drawn again to above. She coughed, for some reason, the mist was affecting her ability to breathe.::

"Anapneo ((A spell that allows the caster to be able to breathe properly))" ::Ginny took a deep breath and felt better.::

"翼! (wings in chinese)" ::She felt a slight pain in her back as the wings sprouted. Ginny took a deep breath and started flying up to the tops of the trees. After a moment of looking, she spotted Jenn, who was seated on top of a laurel tree.::

"Laurels strengel ineen!" (Laurels entwine) ::The tree vines began to twist themselves around Jenn:

::Jen was interuppted by Ginny as she was watching the others fight her hexes and eatting popcorn. "Oh bother," she muttered to herself as Ginny flew toward her with giant (but rather pretty) wings on her back. Too late to duck, Jen got wrapped in vines in no time. Luckily, her shield held up strong although she was getting a bit squished. "Incendio!" Fire immediatly started to burn at the vines and released her. ::

"Tondeo Pennae [clip wings]." Ginny's wings were suddenly clipped and she tumbled to the ground. "How did she see me up here when I still had my invisbilty bracelet on?" Jen wondered outloud. "Did it break already?" Glancing down, she noticed that the bracelet was no longer glowing green but was now a dull olive color. "Great! this is the last time I tell mom to buy me something on Ebay." Glancing down, she still saw Ginny sprawled on the ground. "Oh, she's going to be mad when she wakes up. Eternus Somnus [eternal sleep]." Jen then jumped to the ground and conjured up a blanket to cover Ginny up. 'Hopefully, the duel will be over when she wakes up. I don't want to be around when that redhead gets mad.' she thought to herself. Turning around, she armed herself with her wand and reentered the fog to continue the duel.::

::WL realised that she would simply make too much noise while she was in the woods. She, having mastered several beyond-NEWT-level charms, wordlessly charmed herself to become invisible and also to be able to fly without her broom.::

::She cast her wards around her while she was in the air. She would know if there was any movement around her and there were anti-apparition wards there too.::

“Point-me” she thought and her wand spun around, pointing her to the clearing where the others were duelling already. She couldn’t see much that was going on because there was such a huge fog covering the area, but she could see that there was a body lying on the ground, covered up, a few locks of red hair poking out.::

Oh no! Please don’t be dead! Ginny! Wake up! Please don’t be dead!

::As she hovered above the scene, she saw, with a sigh of relief, that Ginny was breathing. Jenn was battling furiously with a large toothed duckie and Pillow was trussed up like a chicken nearby. Herby was watching and waiting, probably looking for strengths and weaknesses like WL was, except she was on the ground and WL was flying::

::WL couldn’t see where the others were yet and made sure that her wards were specially enhanced to alert her twice: once when they were within sight range and again when they were in firing range. She also put a Silencing Charm on herself to prevent anyone hearing her if she happened to cry out.::

::WL looked over the people under her and decided that the best thing was to fly around them and institute random attacks.::

::She first went above Jenn and Duck and wordlessly, she shot small sparks of electricity at them, making them jump into the air and look around. After a few jumps, they each seemed to think that the other was doing this and they continued duelling. She zoomed through the air, shooting sparks at all five of the people in the duel at random, even though two of them were unable to do anything back for the time being::

::Lastly, she also made sure that her charms and wards were re-enforced every now and then. It wouldn’t do to fall out of the sky, or suddenly reappear or have an ambushed launched on her!::

(Duude I didn't know I made it to the 4th round!!)

~Fated silently crouched up in the tallest of the gnarled and entangled trees, in the darkness hidden from the views of the other duel partners. No doubt this was going to be very difficult and he had to be on his toes in this one. He breathed slowly and quietly, as he observed duck,jenn, pilly, Herby, Ginny and Waterlily dueling from below him. His blue eyes gleamed as a cocky smirk crossed his face.

~So these were the ones who'd shown up so far. He slowly, quietly slid his perfectly crafted yew wand out of his thick, black robes, and clutching it tightly in his hand, he slightly adjusted his position that he was in. It was obvious that the foolish girls hadn't bothered to look up the tree. And suddenly he had an idea. He knew exactly how he would defeat them all and just what plan he'd use. ~

~He grinned at the rolling fog that had been created. It gave him a great advantage. Since he was used to darkness, he was right at home in the forest. First thing was first. He had to protect himself. "Parseltongue Protection" he whispered, creating an invisible shield around himself. The shield would be able to reflect small spells and partially reflect the stronger more powerful spells.~

~Directing his wand in a slow waving motion, Fated aimed at the group of duelers below.

"Engorgio Serpensortia!" He mumbled flinging several rather large snakes down at the unsuspecting duelers. He chuckled as he watched the surprised looks on their faces.~~

::Jen nearly flew up a huge rock as she spotted the large snake through the air. She didn't know who had casted these snakes but most likely it would be Stealth or Fated. And Stealth would never have thrown these snakes at t an them without warning Herb, so she figured it must be Fated.::

::Getting an idea, she cast a quick spell at each of the members of the duel, "Demontris Amplexus." [This enabled each dueler to be surrounded by the dementor aura of their worst fear, lost, and despair] However, the difference was that the Expecto Patronus could not be used for this spell because there was no ACTUAL dementor to chase away. Then Jen turned to the snakes still advancing toward here. With her wand, she picked up a large Bubotuber plant nearby and waved it in fron of the vicious snakes. Just as she had hoped for, they all bit a bite of the plant in front of them. They then curled down and slid away painfully. Jen knew that snakes could not digest plants so it just got stuck in their throats. And the pus from the plants didn't help either, although it didnt create boils, it made the snakes throat burn horribly.::

::Jen then strenghted her Shield and waked to see how the others could react to her dementor aura. Since the fog she had cast was still going strong, this only intensified their feeling of being alone.::

::Ginny slept through the shocks, and the beginning half of the snakes. A particularly large and nasty looking one was slithering it's way towards her, its yellow slitted eyes narrowing-making them almost closed. It's fangs were as large as her head, and gently, lovingly almost, it nudged her blanket off. Ginny involuntarily shivered. The snake licked her face with its long pink tongue, which had been flitting about in the air. As it turns out, this snake was of the Recipero species, which meant that its saliva revived those that were caused to sleep for a long time-sort of like a Mandrake.::

"Huh?" ::She felt slightly sore wear the shocks had hit her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a large snake lunging at her. The red head screamed and kicked at the snake, causing it to hiss in pain and anger. Fumbling for her wand, Ginny pointed it at the snake and cried::

"Mongooseangriff!" (Mongoose attack in german) ::She had learned that the snake's natural enemy was the mongoose, and the large black one that emerged from the tip of her wand looked like he could take on five snakes, not just this one. When it was done it came back over to her, and she petted it happily::

"Good job, boy." ::Just then, Jenn's spell kicked in. The snake was back. Her mongoose tried attacking it, but it was struck down by the snake and bit. Slowly, it evaporated into mist.::

"Expecto patronum!"(spell to deflect dementors) :She cried, her brown eyes widening in fear. No, that wouldn't work either. Ginny tried the spell three more times, futilely. She sighed and collapsed to the ground, the snake having whipped its tail around her legs.::

"παρουσιάστε αλήθεια!" (show truth in greek) ::The red head cried, noticing how the snake seemed to be made of mist. It disappeared and Ginny stood alone in her part of the woods.::

"Now what..." :she murmured:

::Duck had been trapped to a tree with invisible chains, and then had electricity sparks making her jump into the air...and now she wanted to get back at the other duellers.

Reinforcing her shield spell "Ecran renforcé" (shield reinforced), she crept through the fog, blasting a couple of snakes out of the way. Suddenly, she saw a spark appear out of the sky and hit Jenn. Looking around for the source, she suddenly had the thought that maybe someone was playing around with invisibility charms.

"Révélez toi-meme!" (reveal yourself) she shouted, and with a flickering, WL appeared on a broom just above the fog. Duck quickly sent a spell at her "Noeud reef forte!" (strong reef not *I think*), and WL was bound up in reef knots which were difficult to undo.::

::Ginny saw a shape coming towards her, and her cat eyes spell allowed her to see that it was Duck, who had apparently dried herself off::

"Avis Invisible Maximi! (Large invisible birds in latin)" :The person then began to get pecked-quite painfully, she was sure-by the birds:

::Snapewas finally transported to the dark wood, muttering "silly transporter...late again..."

::Making sure he was well and truley hidden in the undergrowth, Snape prepared himself for the long night::

"luce della piuma" ::Snape said wordlessly, his wand pointed at himself as his body began to tingle with the 'feather light' spell. Now he would be able to use the tree tops quickly if needed. ::

" illumini il calore" (heat illuminate)::Snape smiled. who needs light when all source of body heat will illuminate just for him, making it easy to pick out the enemy.

"esplorazione di notte" (night scan). ::his wand tip silently scanned the darkness and allowed him inner vision of his oponents. Like a tiny map, he pin pointed each of the others who had already arrived. Spiling, he made a few finishing touches::

"allarme silenzioso di periodo" (silent spell alarm) ::now if anyone shot a spell too near him he would know and be able to react before it hit him, though just in case, he silently cast an extra strength shield charm and "camoflage" to enable him to blend into any background. now he was ready!::

::Ginny heard another person moving about the woods, and spun around. She thought she caught a glimpse of Snape, but a second later he had vanished. The red head shook it off as her imagination.::

"Hmm...I wonder how the others are doing in their fright dreams? I should probably set up my defenses...morte fredda (cold death)" ::The temperature surrounding her dropped 60 degrees. Ginny herself was protected by the vita calda (warm life) charm she had cast. Anyone who got near her would be very cold. Deciding to add another wall of protection around her, she whispered::

"recinzione della fiamma (Flame Fence)" ::Just outside the temperature drop, the ground became covered with points where fire would jump up at the person who stepped on it. Still, the red head wasn't satisfied::

"encasement del ghiaccio (ice encasement)" :Even more pressure points were added, only instead of fire, deadly ice spears would fly out of the ground. Ginny's protection, for good luck, was placed in the shape of a pentagram. She smiled to herself::

"Fire and ice" ::Ginny was glad that, if by some odd chance, someone got through her protections, she could still run through it and be unharmed.::

::Ginny had sat down in her little chamber of fire and ice and was currently pondering what to do. She saw a flash of light as something happened, and her brown eyes shot over to the spot. All she saw was Herby, hiding behind a bush from...a tree?::

"That's odd...oh well. Better be productive! Confundo! (Confusing charm)" ::This she cast at Herby, to confuse her. The red head then pointed her wand at the tree and whispered::

"Diffindo!"(severing charm) ::The tree was split and half and began to fall towards Herby::

"aer tube!" (air tube in Latin) Pillow gasped.

A small tube made it's way throught the air, through the bubble shield, and into her mouth.

She sighed. Now she could breath.


"Attero!" (destroy in Latin) She shouted, and the choker was destroyed instantly.

"auris ache!" (ear ache in Latin) She shouted at each of the duelers.

"calx tabernus!" (stone hut in Latin) She ducked behind her large sturdy stone hut and cast a number of fire, sealing, and wind protection spells on it before running inside to hide.

"AH!" ::Ginny screamed, as she was caught off guard by the sudden ear ache. She silently cursed herself for not putting up anti-spell charms on her pentagram, but now she had to focus on getting rid of this darned ear ache::

"auris ache Deletrius" (delete ear ache in latin)" ::Slowly, she felt the ache being relieved, but there was a dull ringing in her ears. Ginny's eyes searched for Pillow and saw a stone hut. She smirked, knowing just how to rock Pillow's world::

"terremoto!" (Earthquake in Japanese) ::Ginny chuckled as the ground, was shaken underneath Pillow's hut.::

"Pillow's hut comes falling down...falling down..." :she sung quietly to herself:

~Having never moved from the branches of the tallest tree, Fated looked disappointedly at his snakes that had died of the plant poisoning. He then smirked at the dementor aura that had appeared around him, he simply closed his eyes and thought of a strong happy memory to keep himself happy. Moments later the dark thing vanished in a poof.


With that little minor problem taken care of, it was time to refocus on his opponants.

Of course, he knew just what to do. He first pointed his wand at the group of untouched plants below his tree, and muttered "transmuto engorgio devil's snare" weaving the harmless little plants together and fusing them magically as they turned into the very large dangerous plant known as Devil's Snare. As soon as he'd cast that spell, he pointed his wand at the sky.
"Acidic Downpour!" he shouted out, causing storm clouds to move in. Lightning flashed in large dangerous bolts as earth shattering thunder shook the ground. So much so that Fated had to hold tight to the tree branch to keep himself balanced. And then looking to the sky and knowing what was about to happen, he strengthened his shield around himself as the first drops of rain fell down. But this was no ordinary rain. No, Fated had conjured acidic rain- so acidic that it would eat through clothing and even the flesh of his fellow duelers. His shield luckily protected him from the downpour and he gave a mock sympathetic look to the others. ~~

~The rain came down harder as each second passed, and once it had formed into blinding sheets, Fated once more lifted his wand to the sky.
"Chimera!" he said. And there before the eyes of his opponents there came a hoard of nearly twenty large chimeras, descending down from the sky. And one flew close enough to the tree and so Fated jumped on its back as its powerful wings beat the air. ~

~He watched the other duelers cower in fear at the massive amount of chimeras circling menacingly above ~~

(Alright, here I go)

::Ginny watched as what looked like Devil's Snare was suddenly grown near the base of a tree. She bit her lip::

"Hope that doesn't come near me. But just incase it does...Engorgio explosión (engorging explosion in spanish/latin)" ::Ginny smiled as the plant began to swell. In a matter of minutes, it would explode. However, she didn't really need to have bothered, as the acid rain that was just created began to pour down, completely annihilating the poor thing::

"And I almost feel bad for it..." ::The red head herself was protected from the acid rain, because the freezing conditions around her froze the rain on impact. As soon as they crystals fell to the ground, they were melted by the flames.::

"I love fire and ice..." :Ginny said. Now, she had another huge problem. There was a chimera coming for her::

"This should be lovely...het lied van de hersenschimsirene.(Chimera Siren Spell)"::A strange humming was filled throughout the air. Six of the 20 chimeras began behaving strangely-I'll let your dirty little minds fill in the blanks-to some bushes, trees, and other plants. Ginny glanced at the poor remains of the Devil's Snare and smirked.::

"regenereer(regenerate)" ::The plant then did that, and began writhing about fearsomely. She then flicked her wand casually once more, saying::

"aanvals dichtste persoon" (Attack the closest person) ::The Devil's snare, with surprising quickness, launched itself into the air, ensnaring a Chimera. Ginny thought she saw someone on it's back, but figured it must've been something else::

~Fated was falling towards the ground where there was both hot and cold obstructions so he had to think fast. "Accio Nimbus 2006!" he shouted. Sure enough his loyal, trusted broom zoomed through the air and Fated landed safely on it as it hovered there in midair. But no sooner had his trusty broom broke his fall than several vines from the large Devil's Snare plant shot up and grabbed him around the throat. Remembering what he'd learned about the wicked plant, he forced himself to stay perfectly still. He thought a moment and then his Death Eater side kicked in. He remembered his secret dark arts training and so he slid his wand out of his pocket, feeling the devil's snare tighten more at even this slight movement.~

~Fated pointed the tip of the wand at the plant. "You've outlived your usefulness" he mumbled. The plant started tightning more but Fated just remained calm as he recited two forbidden words. "Avada Kedavra!" The plant was blasted with the familiar, evil,green light of the Killing curse, and it released its grip on Fated's neck as it fell down dead.

~Watching the look of horror on his opponents' faces at his wicked actions, he simply grinned. Then he twirled his wand. Flicking it twice, he pointed it at the ground.

"Shakaris Humos!"(shaking ground)
The ground began to split apart, causing a series of earthquakes. Fated dodged several falling trees that seemed to be spat and uprooted from the ground. And slowly, seeping through the bits of earth that remained intact came bubbling, magma from the earth's crust. And as it surfaced it turned into steaming pools of lava. ~

~Fated winced at the heat and realized that he needed to add a Fire Resistance charm to himself and so he did just that. The sweltering temperatures began to rise as this part of the forest became as hot as the inside of an oven.~~

~ Realizing that the group of duelers had quite a lot to deal with now, Fated summoned his broom. "Accio Nimbus 2006!"
It soared over to him again and he jumped on it. He flew slowly over the pools of lava and rock that had begun popping up out of the earth's crust, and suddenly got an idea.

"Avis Flamora!" (Bird of fire) he said pointing his wand down at one of the puddles of lava. From the lava rose a large 50ft bird made of fire. Every part of it radiated heat that almost matched the heat from the sun, and its loud squawking cry was light a loud screech of someone running their fingernails across a chalkboard~~

~Watching the large bird fly towards the group, Fated laughed. He then flew off into a deeper darker part of the forest where it was unaffected by the spellcasters-for now anyway.

~Oh he knew they would come after him, but until they did, he'd bide his time and lay waiting for the others whom he'd dubbed as his prey.~

::Finally all the spell casting slowed down enough for Jen to figure out something to do. She spotted Snape across the forest from her but noticed that the spells didnt seem to be fazing him. She waved her wand in his direction and chanted, "Cado Nemus!" [trees fall] Several trees started to fall on top of him, destroying whatever spell he had protecting him.::

::Jen turned around and scanned the woods behind her. She spotted Fated smirking at everyone around him as a large fire bird flew toward her! 'Well, I'm not the Transfiguration prof. for nothing.' she thought to herself. With a swish of her wand, she mumbled, "Verto Tabernus!" The large firebird became a large cotton bird that flew away as a large gust of wind came by. She turned to Fated trying to leave, "Fio Femalus!" Fated became a girl both physically and in his mind. (And a very pretty one at that) His/Her nail became chipped and she became engrosses with fixin it manually.::

::Satisfied that he wouldn't be bothering anyone soon, she turned toward Ginny who was covered with fire and ice. " Only one thing to do to get close enough to her" Jen mumbled. "Fervens Ventus." [Surrounded by hot wind] Jen then ran toward Ginny, when the flames shot up from the ground the wind blew it out before it touched her. As for the ice, well the hot wind took care of that as the ice all melted around her. When she got close enough to Ginny, she said quickly, "Menus Squib." [Become squib] For the short time being, Ginny not only had her powers binded but she thought she was a real squib.::

(Very nice Jesse. I am impressed)

"Cold! Very cold! Rückbann!" (Reverse spell in German) ::The temperature around her turned back to normal::

:Ginny's eyes widened as she was very surprised that he would dare use the spell Avada Kedavra. However, she knew her attention must not be distracted by that. The red head was shaken to the ground by the earth quake, but other than that she was fine. However, when the lava came, Ginny knew she could no longer stay in one spot like she had. However, she was then attacked by Jenn and her squib spell. She had to wait a full ten minutes, during which she was well protected by her shields.:

"Time to get off my american booty and get going...déplacez le bouclier du feu et de glace(move the shield of fire and ice in french)" She began walking around, the ice freezing the magma as quickly as it came. Ginny felt herself getting tired, and decided she needed an easier way to carry around this power-draining shield.::

"créez le le bracelet de charme de bouclier" (Create shield charm bracelet) ::She felt a heavy ring encircle her wrist. On it were six flame charms and six ice charms. Ginny smiled at it, and was then attacked by the gigantic flame bird.::

"Hello there, Ember." :She said sarcastically, pulling out her wand. Jenn, however, soon got rid of it. Darn... Ginny thought. She conjured her own fire bird and then said: "refroidissez!" (Cool down) :There was a hissing noise as the bird began cooling down drastically: "acier!" (steel) ::Ginny said quickly. The bird changed into a bird of steel. Ginny hopped onto it and said::

"Okay, let's go find Fated! trouvaille destinée! (Find Fated)" ::A tiny spark began to lead the way::

Snape saw the heat outline of ginny, faint due to the extreme coldness around her, though still there
“cant hide your body warmth from me!” he thought before slowly stepping forward. Suddenly the silent alarm went of, stopping snape in his tracks.
“Clever ginny, clever” he thought, realising that she had protected herself well. Using his feather light spell, he jumped swiftly to the branches above, landing silently above the spell barriers.

“Temperatur erhöhen” (temperature enhance)
Snape watched as the spell hit ginny, causing her to feel the extremities of the temperature around her.

Grinning, he cast the scan spell again.
He could see the falling branch in the distance falling onto a small heated person, though from this distance he couldn’t see who. He heard the ear ache spell being uttered, though was thankful he was well protected. He managed to easily jump into a higher branch out of the way of the spell range.

Scanning again, he noticed Fated on a chimara nearby. Thankful he was practically invisible from the camouflage spell, he raised his wand, yet before he could do anything, his alarm once again rang out. He felt his shield waver as something hit it…acid rain!

Pointing at a leaf above him, he cast “Schutz” (shelter) and watched as the leaf wrapped itself above him, providing him with shelter from the acid, though it wasn’t enough. Quickly he whispered “saures Schild” (acid shield).
Breathing a sigh of relief, he turned back to the action. He noticed fated falling to the floor, and watched as he called for his broom.

“Crafty” Snape thought as he grinned at his fellow slytherin. Suddenly, the trees began to shake as the ground seemed to erupt. Quickly, Snape jumped from tree-top to tree-top until he reached a huge rock, glad that his camouflage changed to his surroundings.

Catching his breath, he realised that he was still completely unharmed. The rest of the group seemed to be dealing with a fire bird, yet he was too far. Casting the scan again, he noticed Fated and Jenn bustling. FATEDS A GIRL!!! Snape couldn’t help laughing. Taking control, Snape pointed his wand at Jenn.

“öffnen Sie Boden” (open ground) Snape watched as the ground beneath jenn began to open up, pulling her down. With Jenn preoccupied, snape cast the “Sinnesfrost” charm (mind freeze) on Fated.. The expression on his face showed it had worked. His mind had frozen causing him to fall onto the floor, helpless.

::Since she was standing near Ginny, when Jen fell, Ginny fell with her. As she fell into the hole, 'Levicorpus.' Jen thought to herself. Ginny's body floated up and Jen grabbed hold of her ankle to pull herself out. As she was safely on the ground again, she pointed her wand at Severus and muttered, "Furnunculus Boutanus." [Fur growth bounce] Although Severus had a shield, this helpful hex would bounce around his body until it became contacted with his skin and erupted.::

::Jen then put on her shield bubble again and went back into the fog to find the others. She intensified the fog to ensure that the other couldnt see her coming. ::

::Luckily, the alrams went off as Jenn fired the spell, allowing Snape to use his feather like ability to jump downswards and into the long grass. Unfortunately, the spell hit the shield, damaging it slightly and began bouncing around him.

"Bannrückkehr" (spell return)

The spell began to shoot back to Jenn with force. Thinking quickly, Snape bounded out of sight once more, before casting::

"Drachefluch" (dragon curse)

::Suddenly out of nowhere, a huge green dragon flew past him.

"Angriff" (attack) Snape shouted before the dragon started flying towards all those on the ground, fire spiralling from its mouth

~Fated was in shock that he had become a SHE!~ But even the change of his gender had not deterred him from his thought process~ *I must defeat them, and ...ohhh wait omg I really have to go get a mini skirt like jenn's!* (Since i am a female, I will say 'she') she thought. Pulling out a file and filing her nails to perfection in a split second, she suddenly realized that there was someone nearby. She could sense it. She landed on the ground, and propped her broom against the tree as she looked around slowly.

~She could have sworn she'd heard the unmistakable laugh of the Potions master.~
She wondered how she would turn back to a guy at first but then started fiddling with her clothes thinking* Oh I wonder if any cute guy will notice me* then she suddenly imagined Fated-how cute he was but realized that Fated was her MALE self. And it snapped in her head that she needed to return to being a male again~Taking out her wand she pointed it at herself and tried to remember what she looked like~

~It worked and suddenly SHE returned back into a HE. Fated smirked at seeing he was back to himself. The he remembered that he sensed Snape was nearby. But he couldn't see him.
Then he felt a terrible pain hit him in the head, almost like his thoughts had been frozen. He grabbed his head and fell to his knees. He then found he couldn't think but oddly he felt something in his robes pocket. OF course, he'd stolen several potions from Snape's closet and now pulled out a red one. He drank it and his mind cleared.~

He pointed his wand in the direction that he thought snape might be "Mantasra!"

A large giant mantis charged towards the direction that he thought snape was hiding~

::WL ran back into the clearing. After struggling for twenty minutes with duck's knots, and having her mother yell at her for hours, she had been dragged off to Tesco's and had only just got back...with her shopping!

Ooooo...the duel is getting ugly...

::WL recast her spells around herself and made herself not only invisible, but also took a leaf out of Herb's book, camoflaging herself to blend in...not that she could blend in anymore than she was as invisible...::

::She watched as Jesse and Mick duelled furiously and saw a little movement from the side...herby...

"Icarcerous für drei Tagen!"[bind up in ropes for three days in latin/german]

As Herby fell to the ground with a thud, all bound up in ropes, WL went to find the others, left Jesse and Mick to their fun...if Slytherins can actually have fun and not try and kill everyone, then i'm a Hippo!

~Fated watched as the mantis began to seek out Snape, though the potion's master was quite a challenge as Fated could not see him. But he could feel him. After all, Snape wasn't the only one who had the Dark Mark on his arm. ~~~~

Fated knew that Snape was watching him from the shadows. He then looked to the mantis and got an idea. To ensure that his Mantis would not be knocked out in one blow, Fated cast 'stoneskin'(a spell to make the body of the mantis only take half damage from physical attacks and makes its body stronger~ Sending the Mantis on its way towards Snape's supposed direction, Fated suddenly sensed another presence. One that made him smirk. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the area. But suddenly he gasped as he saw something flying his way. A green dragon breathing fire. He waved his wand around himself "Extra Fire Resistence" He mumbled as the fire resistance shield doubled its protection around him. He was now safe from the large reptile's fiery attacks but now what..the monster still had teeth, and sharp clawed feet. Not to mention there was a chance that knowing Snape, the dragon harbored venom or some sort of lethal poison in its saliva. Fated wasn't taking any chance and pulled a small vial of black liquid-that he'd also taken from Snape's private stores- and drank it quickly. It burned his insides but soon a refreshing feeling washed over him. He smiled as the liquid that he'd just ingested was a strong anti-venom that was good at banishing poisons from the body for up to 5 hours. And Fated knew that he'd need every bit of health that he could hold onto.~~

~The green dragon began to swoop down towards him, glaring at him hungrily. Fated braced himself against the tree trying to not move but it was too late, the mouth of the beast was opened wide and it was closing in~Fated let out an ear piercing cry as the dragon grabbed him in its teeth and swallowed him whole!~~~


~Fated slid down the monster's throat as though it were a narrow, slippery slide. *Great Merlin!* he panicked as he slid down through the slippery darkness. Thank Merlin Fated had kept his wand with him. The slide suddenly came to an end. ~SPLAT~
Fated landed on something rather smelly and mushy. He grimaced as he now sat in the stomach of the dragon. The stench was so horrible that Fated wanted to vomit, but he knew he had to keep himself calm. Sliding his wand out he held it up a little in front of his face "Lumos!" His voice echoed off of the cell walls that made up the creature's insides. And as the tip of his wand lit up, he suddenly gasped at what he saw. Skeletons and half eaten animal carcasses were in the dragon's stomach.
"AGH!!!" Fated shouted, his voice echoing off the walls of cells.After getting over the initial shock, Fated covered his mouth to try to not breathe in the horrindous stench of the dead creatures. He then slowly stood up only to nearly slip into a puddle of the dragon's stomach acids. He gasped as the tip of his robe made a crackling sound as it was eaten away by the acid. Fated then looked down and realized that he had landed on the half eaten carcass of another dragon. This one looked to have been there for some time as its scales were still freshly decaying. *Okay, how do I get out of here?* He mentally questioned himself. *I can use a powerful spell to blow up the dragon but then I'd risk blowing myself up too. This is a tightly cramped place and I am certain that any harmful spell that I try to do in such a small space, will backfire as I'm still a 2nd year Slytherin and so I need to use my brain and come up with a way to get out of here without blowing myself to pieces.*

~~And then suddenly across the pool of thick green stomach acid, something twinkled. "What's that?" he mumbled.A rusted sword lay against one of the cell walls. It had probably been swallowed along with the unfortunate person that the dragon had eaten. He didn't dwell on that though cuz now he had an idea. He'd have to try to reach the sword. But he didn't dare try to move from his spot cuz he'd certainly be digested if he tried. Then he smacked himself on the forehead and remembered. "DUH I am a wizard" And as that realization sunk back in, Fated held his hand and stared at the sword with a strong determined look on his face. "Accio rusted sword" He said.
Nothing happened.
He gasped. Why hadn't his accio charm worked? He needed to focus.
"ACCIO RUSTED SWORD!" He said loudly and more firmly.
The rusted, old sword shook slowly then began to float over towards Fated's now outstretched hand. He grabbed it but nearly dropped it as he felt the sticky gewy feel on it and saw blood splattered about its chipped, rusted blade. Fated shook his head and held the handle of the sword tightly. This was no time to be squeamish for this weapon was just the thing he needed and now came the more gruesome part.
Fated stood up on wobbly legs, feeling lightheaded as his oxygen was almost gone. He quickly shoved his wand into his pocket and held the sword above his head with both hands and then with all of his might thrust the blade towards the dragon's cell wall. The dragon let out a ferocious roar as Fated began rapidly cutting his way through the beast's insides. And then suddenly the belly of the dragon ripped wide open and Fated fell out of its stomach along with a river of blood and bones.~~In a matter of moments, the dragon was dead and Fated, gasping for air and covered in dragon blood, slowly staggered to his feet. He thrust the sword's blade to the ground as he began leaning on the sword for support. Fated was a mess, and so he took out his wand out, pointed it at himself and shouted "Scourgify!" Instantly he and his clothes became perfectly clean and he exhaled with relief. Then suddenly, just as he turned around, he heard the snap of a twig. And saw the shadow of someone. Forcing himself to investigate, Fated held his wand tightly, and started towards two trees where he could sense someone or something was hiding.~~~~

::Suddenly, snape saw a giant mantis coming towards him. He knew that it was guess work as to where Fated thought he was, but was he protected from the mantis? He didn’t want to find out, knew he had to get rid of it and soon. He went to call for his dragon, but noticed it chasing Ginny and Jenn.::

“Come on…severus…” he thought before taking out his wand and pointing it at the mantis and casting “krimp” (shrink). ::Without another thought, snape bounded out of the mantis’ way just before the spell hit, causing it to shrink extremely fast until it was nothing. It may have been protected against physical spells, but shrinking was not one of them. Shrinking worked with its elements in its body. Snape grinned. ::

::He turned back to face his fellow Slytherin, but noticed just in time that the dragon had swallowed him…whole! Snape narrowed his eyes. He knew that Fated would not have let that happen without a reason. After a few curious minutes, Snape saw Fated immerse from the dragons stomach. He couldn’t help but grin, yet quickly pulled himself together. Jumping onto the topmost tree, snape used the scan spell once again. The darkness had become almost completely black, but his illuminous spell was still working well, making it easy to spot the others.

Whilst in mid jump between the tree’s, snape whispered “zand mens” (sand man).

Golden dust fell from his wand and instinctively made its way to every living being. One spec of dust on the skin, then sleep would control them, giving him enough time to get close…

::Duck stared around herself in horror as the ground beneath her feet began to shake. Panicked, she remembered back to the earthquake in Dudley, near her home town of Birmingham back in 2002. Back then, she'd been woken in the middle of the night, noticed something odd and gone back to sleep.

But now...with the ground shaking and tree's being uprooted every which way, she didn't know quite what to do. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck her. She closed her eyes and chanted slowly:

"Regarde le foret entier, me permettez voir le foret entier."(look, the entire forest. Let me see the entire forest) In her mind's eye, she saw the shadowy outline of the forest, and several bright dots of light - these were the other duellers. The area in which they were standing appeared on the 'mind map' as a dark red colour - signifying the earthquake, but it was only a small area. Why, not 100 metres away, the earthquake stopped. Duck grinned, obviously Lily's spell hadn't been as strong as she'd wanted.

"Accio Waterlily's broom!" Duck yelled, and WL's fallen broom from earlier in the duel zoomed into her outstretched hand. Jumping onto it, she flew off in the direction of the calmer section of forest, where she landed in the highest branches of a tall tree, giving her a clear view of the other duellers, trying to stay upright and dodge falling branches.

She grinned. She knew just what else to do to create even more havoc - and up in this tree, they wouldn't be able to see her.

"Ulunde as falma ar nen!" (flood with waves and water in quenyan) She whispered, calling the elements from the elves. She heard a rushing of water, and then saw her rushing, roaring river flowing unstoppably towards the area where the others were still trying to gain their balance. Grinning, she wondered how they would get out of that one."

::The web hit snape with force and pushed him into the top trunk of the far tree. He could not understand how lily saw him, or how the alarm failed to react. Thinking quickly, he struggled with his hand, yet it was stuck fast. He would have to try wandless magic. Luckily he had been practising::

“gewichtiger Regentropfen” (weighty raindrop)

:A huge raindrop fell right on top of him, soaking him to the bone, yet it had done its job, it had released the webs stick onto him. Thinking that his camouflage spell did not detract from sharpened sight, Snape quickly re-did it with extra force::

“camuflar extreme”(extreme camouflage)

::Now try to find him!
He could once again feel the ground move beneath the trees. Another earthquake! This time he was prepared::

“elemento terra resistente” (element sturdy ground)

:: that would make the ground stay calm beneath his feet and save him from the flood that seemed to have begun.! Using his trusty scan once again, Snape was able to pick out the others. Grinning he flew up to the to most branches, glad of his strong feather light spell::

“no more mr. nice snape” he muttered before casting the ‘jogos da mente’ spell (mind games) upon lily, duck and herby. A spell that would get them doing exactly what he wanted::

“Defend Snape, attack yourselves…”

::WL watched on above, invisible to all, as the ground started shaking, a giant river was roaring through the woods, illuminated eerily by the silvery light of the moon, making it even more terrifying.::

::She couldn’t figure out where duck had found her broom, she had left it in her dorm, but maybe her summoning spell was a long distance one.::

::She spied Herby struggling to re enter the clearing, her arms flailing uselessly at her sides. Duck was hovering above her river with a proud, doting look on her face, as if she was watching her firstborn take his first steps. Ginny was duelling with Lily and Pillow was still in her ramshackle, destroyed hut. Snape was looking furious and Jesse seemed to be itching for a fight, while jenn was looking around the trees for the opponents.::

Really, being so high up above the tree line was really good for surveillance.

::She was even higher than duck so she could track everyone’s movements with ease. She whispered into the air, “Vaayu...” [god of wind in Hinduism]. As she hovered around trying to see what was happening in jenn’s fog, although it was easy to see where they were, just not what they were doing from a bird’s eye view, a huge cloud started to move towards the clearing, pushed by the wind, whom WL had called upon in her time of need.::

::Hiding just inside the cloud, WL could just about see the duellers with her Moody-like Glasses. She suddenly had a stroke of thought and lifted her arms to the sky. “Indra Bakshiss!”

::With that, she suddenly felt her heart lift and let the magic flow gracefully through her arms as the powers of Indra (God of the rain, lightning and thunder) fell upon her for her own special uses::

::WL swirled the cloud around her in a great circle, slowly crafting carefully with much precision, her very own hurricane. It span around her, waiting to do her bidding and as she pointed towards the clearing, it turned and approached the duellers, menacing and deathly in the silver beams of the moonlight.::

::As Hurricane Shanti (“peace”- i hope you catch the irony!) wreaked havoc, uprooting trees and sending the duellers flying in every direction, WL started stirring up more hurricanes and even threw in a huge downpour or two as she had total control of the precipitation in the area.::

::With the cloud covering her, her camouflage costume (now grey to blend in with the cloudy night) and also her invisibility spells, she couldn’t see how anybody could see her hovering up above the trees.::

::Thinking that her opponents didn’t have enough to deal with, she started to send lighting bolts down to the ground, making the trees burst into flames right, left and centre so there was no shelter from the hurricanes, duck’s flood or the torrential monsoon rain, hail and snow that WL was sending down.::

::WL really wished them luck as the trees did not burn for long (as they were damp) and they didn’t know which tree in the thickly wooded area wood blow up next. And to add to the trauma, the hailstones were the size of televisions and the snow was falling in blankets, covering anything solid in a matter of seconds. To describe it in a single word, it was chaos down there::

::Ginny was shaken, rattled, and rolled in every direction on that dueling field. Luckily, when she had fallen off her steel dragon, it had landed next to her and covered her with its wings. Cautiously, the red head peeked out, everyone around her was getting hit by these small pieces of glowing dust. At first, Ginny thought they might be locating charms, like the one she used, but when her dragon was hit by the one intended for her, and fell asleep, she knew that it was some sort of sleep creating spell.::

"No matter. I can fix that. Sveglisi! (Italian for awaken)" :She mounted the dragon once more and as she began to fly towards the closest person she could see-Snape:

"veneficus clausus zona" (magic block belt in Italian) ::A glowing green belt-quite fitting- entwined its way around Snape's waist in an eerily snake-like manner.::

"Very slimming, Snape. You should keep it on forever. In fact, to make sure you do I'm going to give you some little friends. Vocis inside caput capitis" (Voices inside the head) ::Snape's head would then be filled with little chattery noises. Ginny smiled, now to move onto someone else...::

Stealth arrives late having been asked to perform vital last minute work for a Distressed Witches organisation. He puts on his invisibility cloak, which has certain other interesting properties, and starts to scout out the lie of the land.

~Fated was covered in a huge shower of water from the sky, which would have been perfect a moment ago, but since he'd cleaned himself, the water simply soaked his clothes but was cool and refreshing and he smiled proudly. Obviously, someone up there really wanted to help him. He then gawked at the many extremities of weather that had appeared.
Struggling to stay on his feet, he staggered through the forest into the much thicker brush. He was holding onto the branches of trees so tightly that his knuckles turned white and he winced as some debris from the storm cut his cheek. But he ignored the small scratch as he continued on. He squinted his eyes to reduce the dirt and sand from flying into them.~~

~Seeing that his mantis had been shrunk into nothingness, he assumed that Snape was at the spot that he'd sent the mantis. So, he pointed his wand at that direction. "Meteor Shower!" He chanted, causing large flaming meteors to fall from the sky around the area he had targeted.~The wind continued to blow harder and howled as it picked up in speed. Fated suddenly heard a loud snap! The branch he was holding onto had snapped in half and was hurling him into the air, where bolts of dangerous lightning was crackling and flashing across the dark sky.~~

~The rain and wind were brutal, and his ears began popping as he was blown higher. Then suddenly the wind changed direction and blew the other way. Fated suddenly began descending faster than he really wanted too. With his rapid descent, he would surely be splattered against the unforgiving ground. *No way, I'm not gonna die that easily* He thought with determination. "Accio Nimbus 2006!!!" He called out into the darkness summoning his broom.~~~
Whooooooooosh~ His broom came at his command and he landed onto it safely. He grabbed onto the neck with both hands tightly and then he crouched down low on it. He knew that it was a bad idea to fight the wind currents, so instead, he would use them to his advantage. So on the next big gust of wind, he flew into it and allowed it to carry him rapidly towards a figure in the distance. It looked like a bird...but Fated stopped in midair and squinted at it. The bird looked oddly familiar, like one that he'd seen with Lily before in the land of Narnia(heh couldn't resist) and smirked. He pulled out his wand and pointed it at the bird "Licorice Lasso!!" He shouted as a long rope of licorice flew out of his wand and wrapped itself around Lily's bird. The bird struggled but was no match for the rope that tightened around its body, forcing its wings closed, and causing it to fall towards the ground. ~Fated then turned his attention to see Ginny not far away on the back of her dragon. He grinned and then pointed his wand just above her "Corrosive Ooze!" he said, causing a blob of corrosive ooze to fall on Ginny and her dragon. Steering his broom downward, Fated flew down towards the ground and as he flew low through the tres he saw...Herby...~~~

~Herby was running-well hopping- away out in clear view and he grinned. She was such an easy target. He sighed then pointed his wand at her "Blabboria!" He blasted her with a spell that caused her to blab nonsense outloud in a high pitched squeaky mouse voice. ~~
~Fated then chuckled, as the poor girl was already bound and in a lot of misfortune already so he decided to spare her for the moment as he suddenly sensed the presence of yet another dueler...Duck, right in front of him partially hidden in the trees. He grinned and quietly guided his broom towards her right behind her. He pointed at her broom with his wand, "Vampira hipposis" Duck's broom suddenly turned into a large, purple vampiric hippo. Duck screamed as the hippo started bucking with duck holding on for dear life~
Fated cracked up laughing and zoomed off, he was still laughing when suddenly the Dark Mark on his arm began to burn. He gasped and stopped suddenly. A fellow Death Eater was nearby...Snape!~~*Snape's here, very close by...* ~Fated thought to himself. He shoved his wand into his pocket and headed towards a patch of very tall trees where his senses were pointing him to~~~

Stealth had seen enough. He was bitterly disappointed in the way in which some of his friends were behaving. This was supposed to be a duel, not a massacre. He decided to use a charm he had been working on for some time. It would probably be the most powerful charm he had ever attempted as it had to cover such a wide area.

He bowed his head and sought the calmess at his very centre.

"Wütende Welt, werden gesund!" (Mad world, become sane!)

Concentric circles of cleansing blue energy radiated from the tip of his wand, which he held high, letting the invisibility cloak fall for the time being.

The effect of this spell was to quiet teh raging beast that dwells within those who are fighitng. It makes them bemused as they are forced to consider the wellbeing of their fellow witches and wizards.

It also gives plenty of time for a sneaky and very stealthy wizard to wander around doing the dirty on them! They are so full of love for their fellow man that anything is possible!

However Stealth operates a strict personal moral code.

Which is just as well!
