100m RELAY - HUFFLEPUFF TEAM 1

Welcome to the 100m relay event. Please read the instructions carefully

Those
who signed up have been put into teams of 4 in order of signing up.
Some members of some houses signed up though can not participate. If
those members can gather a team of housemates to make 4 of them, and
they sign up (and this works for other relay too) then you may enter
the race late. If this happens, please let me know in the relevant
thread which will be put up here in the event forum after all relay
threads have been opened.

INSTRUCTIONS

Each member on the team must complete the following in order of where name falls in team list (this was the order of sign up)
for example: person 1 posts graphics, then 2, then 3, then 4 and then move onto next in same order!
NOTE:
You may NOT break the order. The relay is all about team work. If one
person has not submitted their turn, the next person can not continue
until they have done so

Each member must submit the following in the order as given below, remembering instructions above.

1. 100 word drabble using the prompt word 'MERLIN' as the opening word and closing word.

2. 450x150 graphics banner using the prompt word 'MERLINS BEARD'

3. Follow the link below and colour the snail online. Print screen and upload here

4. Write a short 200-300 word gold medal acceptance speech


When
all four members of this team have finished all four parts, the last
person needs to double post and in capitals write 'FINISHED and the
date and time in GMT)



1st, 2nd and 3rd bonus for race will go to the posting order of scores.
Points Possible can be found within the points post.
Story will be judged by judges in two different ways.

Drabble:; Merlin!


Merlin stood at the top of the castle holding out some muggle invention and holding it up to the sky. He muttered a few words and lightening came down attaching onto the muggle device and setting Merlins beard on fire! Merlin jumped from his spot, screaming. He lay on the ground, his beard was no more. A few bystanders edged forward, worried but fearful expressions on their faces.
"Merlins Beard-!" one began to say,
"It's only a minor problem!" he jumped up and apparated to the nearest mirror. He was quite liking the new Merlin.

Merlin awoke to feel his left leg numb with pins and needles. He knew he had to flex his toes, to move his leg and eventually put weight on it. But he couldn't bring himself to inflict the pain on himself

“Deacon help!” he cried out eventually.“I have pins and needles in my left leg.”

Deacon looked at his brother, an evil grin slowly spreading across his face.

Merlin blinked, oh this will hurt he thought as his brother prepared to hit him.

“ARGH!” screamed Merlin when Deacon's fist slammed into his tingling leg.

"Oh Merlin."

Merlin frowned as his apprentice cried out and fell over the stool. The potion spilled everywhere, glowing bright green as it melted to floor, hissing angrily. The long-bearded wizard flicked his wand and the mess disappeared. The boy turned red, trying to sneak by.

“Not so fast.”

Merlin crossed his arm and glared at him. “You want to be my apprentice? What have you proven to me yet? That potion was very valuable!”

The boy winced. “Sorry, Merlin sir...”

“Sorry isn't going to make that potion again, now is it?”

“No sir.”

“Then get to it, boy!” shouted Merlin.
