How about a " Aliens and Mystical Creature" class with astronamy?
Like, make your own planets and stuff, make your own aliens maybe?

Hmm..how about a lesson about stars? Everything about them.. then you can add in trivia questions about stars like, what is the nearest star to the earth after the sun..etc..etc...

EDIT! How about a lesson about Famous Astronomers?

how about a class on other galaxies? perhaps andromeda (the nearest galaxy to ours). Ask people to suggest how + why the galaxy moved away from ours and what direction it is now moving in, how it was formed, and perhaps if there are any life forms on any of the planets contained within it?
They could perhaps include a picture of another galaxy for a bonus!

hermione: as far as i remember there had been an alien homework, which was an essay.... but we didn't yet have making an own alien...

we could do a class where we could pick a planet and find as much info of it that we could

sorry i wrote that kind of fast.

I thought we could pick a star and find the characteristics of it.Then we could write about how the star compares and contrasts to our sun.

Another variation would be to make up our own star and write the same.

how about we come up with a new planet and say about how it was discovered and any moons it might have. we could also say anything speical about it weather or not people live there or some kind og creature

maybe an signment on Earth would be good, like an assignment on past theories about the earth or something...

How about we create our own galaxy. WE could write about the different planets and say what type of cretures live on them

since pluto is no longer a planet i think that we could do an essay where we write about weather we agree with that our not and come up with some facts as to why we say that it should or should not be a planet..... it might be better if it was a discasion maybe.

eclipses would be cool. like talking about howoften thy appear what are their charcteristics.

some people say the world is going to end in 2012 because the planets are going to line up and a disaster will happen

we can have a class that is about planet alignment or a debate on whether a disaster will strike

Some ideas:

* The big bang

* Lessons upon different stars, comets etc

* Harry potter characters and their star signs

* Different planets including the sun and moon

* Classes on different astronomers such as Christopher Wren, Carl Sagen and Claudius Ptolemy

what about an essay on constellations. you give us a list and we write a 200 word essay on the constellation you give us and where at in the sky its at.

How about something on the zodiac and their constellations and Roman counterparts?

So there is this big thing going on about the addition of a 13th astrological sign, because of the Earth's irregular rotation and what-not and a lot of people say that it doesn't count because the sun rises on the constellation Ophiuchus but it has nothing to do with the zodiac signs. Basically my idea for a class would be either to have a discussion about whether or not you think the change is justified or to do some more in-depth research on Ophiuchus
