In the Snow

Wouter puts on his sweater and heads out into the cold and goes to sit on a rock outside hogwarts, thinking of his classes yesterday

Sarah yawned, putting on her winter coat. She had made a deal with her friends she would go out with them to see the snow and have a snow day. She doubted it was be hours bfore they woke up. Making her way out to the court uard, she started thinking of what to do while she waited for her friends.

Wouter heard a new noise!, he waves at sarah and says "Hi!, enjoying the snow?"

Sarah turned around and smiled. "Hello!" she said, walking to him.

Standing up from the rock he sat on, dusting off some snow, "Im Wouter, and u are?" greeting Sarah

"Sarah. Ravenclaw 6th year." She said, shaking his hand.

Wouter smiles, "Hey Sarah, so what are u doing out here?"

"Snow day. Me and my friends plan to play in the snow." She mumbled.

"Oh, where are they?" he says as he turns to look towards the castle

"Asleep." She said. "They havent came out yet." She whispered./

Wouter smiles and laughs a bit, "Would u like to play in the snow with me?"

Sarah raised an eyebrow. "I guess I could." She said.

Wouter picks up some snow and forms it into a snowball, and throws Sarah with it "U'r it", and he runs down the hill

Emmalynn walked out of the castle grudgingly. With every step she muttered 'ew'. Snow was cold. She liked the warm. Snow meant that it was too cold to rain...

"Ew, ew, ew, ew... Oh! Hello," she said to the two people that she almost ran into.

Elladora ran out of the castle, following Emmalynn. She scooped up a handful of snow, compacted it a bit, and threw at her, knowing that if she hit her target Emmalynn would be a little mad.

"Emmalynn!!" Elladora called, as the snowball was flying at her. "PONDER SWIFTLY!"

Emmalynn growled and transformed back. "You sneaky little... vixen! Get back here and take it like a witch! Coward!" she yelled up the tree, fighting off a giggle.

In the battle against laughing, Emmalynn almost always lost. She giggled as she charmed a snowball to fly up into the tree behind her friend.

Elladora tranformed back into her human form and burst out laughing. "Nice one, Maly," Elladora said through giggles, nearly falling out of the beech tree.

"That's not true!" Elladora said, accusingly. "When we were little you spent half your time climbing trees! You LOVE climbing trees! And you've never fallen. Emmalynn Lilliana Malfoy Snape, YOU'RE LYING!"

Elladora giggled harder. "Your name's a mouthful, Maly..."

Emmalynn lobbed the snowball at her friend. "Then take out the 'Malfoy' part. It's two syllables, whereas 'Snape' is only one!"

Emmalynn started to giggle uncontrolably. She fell to the snow and held her stomach.

Elladora gently hopped out of the tree and landed on her feet. She gracefully fell into a low curtsy.

"As you wish, Mistress Emmalynn," Elladora said sarcastically.

She walked slowly around the laughing form of Emmalynn. "It wasn't even that funny!" Elladora said.

Emmalynn smirked and grabbed Elladora's ankles.

"Gotcha!" she yelled, giggling. She yanked her friend's feet out from under her.

Elladora fell to the ground and landed in the plushy snow.

"You're lucky this snow's soft!" Elladora said, grabbing a fistful of snow and tossing it at Emmalynn.

Emmalynn ducked and stood up. She started running toward the lake.

"You can't catch me!" she yelled over her shoulder in a sing-song voice.

Elladora felt herself slowing down and saw Emmalynn's withdrawn wand. She pulled out her own and used the Reductor Curse to get rid out the metal and used her momentum to propel herself at Emmalynn.

Emmalynn gritted her teeth when she saw Elladora still coming at her. She grinned evilly and took her aim.

"Levicorpus!" she yelled.

Elladora heard Emmalynn shouting her curse. She immediately thought up her counter-attack and allowed herself to be pulled up by her ankle, then reversed the curse to flip through the air and land squarely on her feet.

"And that's how you do gymnastics," she told Emmalynn.

Emmalynn laughed and took aim again. She sent three consecutive tickle jinxes at Elladora and slid onto the frozen surface of the lake.

"Crud..." she mumbled.

The ice beneath Emmalynn's feet cracked, and, due to her weight, she fell through into the ice cold water. Her robes weighed her down and she started to sink. The cold had shocked her body and Emmalynn couldn't move.

Emmalynn wrapped her warm cloak around her and stayed silent until her teeth stopped shivering.

"Thanks... But you could have killed me, Ell! When Cathy finds out about this, she's gonna freak!" Emmalynn said seriously, but when she thought of the look on Cathy's face, she started to laugh. "Sorry 'bout the punch, Ella."

Emmalynn used her own wand to dry Elladora.

"You're the one who broke the ice. And none of my spells were strong enough to do anything! You know that," Emmalynn said sternly, but she was still smiling.

"Are you kidding?" Elladora said. "I could've died from that Tickle Jinx! I was surprised I could stand, I was aching so much!"

Elladora blew some powdery snow at Emmalynn, "That's what you get."

"Either," Emmalynn said, slightly shivering again. She picked up some snow and grimaced at it.

"The fastest...It's cold," she concluded.

Emmalynn sipped at her steaming mug, relishing in the warmth.

"Ella, have I ever told you how amazing you are?" she asked, taking another sip and smiling.
