In the Snow

First topic message reminder :

Wouter puts on his sweater and heads out into the cold and goes to sit on a rock outside hogwarts, thinking of his classes yesterday

"Really?" Elladora said. "McGonagall? And Snape's class was so easy and he wasn't uptight at all..."

Elladora pulled her now-lukewarm cocoa out of the snow and gulped a mouthful down. "You need to stop being so biased and close-minded, Maly."

Emmalynn looked aghast. "His class was easy! For me... Transfiguration is really hard!"

Emmalynn crossed her arms and said, "And anyway, you didn't have class with the Gryffindors. They're a riot in potions..." She sniggered slightly.

Elladora scoffed. "Right, like Draco in Herbology was really a great idea. I was hoping Crabbe and Goyle would get bitten by those Mandrake... And fall into some Devil's Snare," Elladora added.

Elladora finsihed off her hot cocoa and vanished her cup.

Emmalynn scoffed and did the same.

"Yeah, Draco's not much for dirt... or other living things..." she said, grinning.

Emmalynn thought back and nodded. "I think so... Mine was the fourth one to die. It annoyed me very much," she said, grinning sadistically.

"Draco didn't feed his, but fed mine too much... and things it wasn't supposed to have. Like habenero peppers," she elaborated.

Elladora snorted and was very glad so finished her cocoa, because she was sure that if she hadn't, she'd have spurted it out through her nose. "Habanero peppers? Them Muggle thingys that're supposed to be like super-hot?"

Elladora laughed. "Oh stinky poor skrewt! Poor Hagrid! Fire must have been everywhere!"

Emmalynn laughed.

"Y'know, for some weird reason, there was no fire. It's like fire that gets so hot, it's only smoke," she said, giggling, "It was really strange..."

"I bet," Elladora said.

Emmalynn laughed and glanced up to the castle. "Speak of the devil..." she said. She raised a hand and waved to Draco as he approached the pair.

"Emmalynn! What do you think you're doing?!" he exclaimed. "She's a blood traitor!" Draco sneered at Elladora. Emmalynn sighed, preparing herself for Elladora's reaction; whether it be rage or eerie calmness, she didn't know...

Elladora stuck out her tongue at Draco before he reached the girls. And smiled as he approached, then her face dropped.

"Her? I have a name, and I'm quite sure you know it..." Elladora said, trying to maintain her composure. "And 'blood traitor' did you call me? I wasn't aware you could be a traitor to blood. Wait, but I accept all bloods... wouldn't that make you the blood traitor? A traitor to an existing bloodline."

Elladora pulled out her wand and began twisting her hair around the end of it, looking inquirely at Draco, with a somewhat icy stare.

Eerie calmness this time, Emmalynn thought, sighing.

Draco turned a funny pink color. "You'd dare call me a blood traitor?!" he screeched, pulling out his wand and pointing it at Elladora. Emmalynn groaned and stood up, her back to her friend.

"Now, Draco, mind your manners," she said in a very good imitation of his mother. She had her wand up her sleeve in case it was needed.

((You can be Draco sometimes, if you want...))

"Yeah, I do." Elladora stared at Draco. "I think it's fitting though... after all, only a traitor to blood would wipe out bloodlines... And I'm pretty sure I don't do that, never have never will."

Elladora eyed Draco's wand without the slightest bit of apprehension in her eyes. "You might want to put that away. You never know when it'll turn on you."

Emmalynn groaned. She could see a fight coming on. "Great..." She stretched the word and sat down, watching the course of events unroll.

"Oh, you'll pay for that one you muggle-lover!" The blood was rushing to his face and he turned an ugly shade of pink. He pointed his wand at Elladora's face. He yelled some gibberish that sounded like he was trying to speak Gobbledegook.

Emmalynn laughed, falling into the snow.

Emmalynn stuck her face in the snow to smother her hysteria. Her body was shaking with laughter.

Draco, on the other hand, turned an even uglier shade of pink, mixed with puce. He desperately started spitting out the bubbles, gagging as he swallowed some each time.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Elladora said. "I was merely trying to save your mother the trouble of dealing with you at home. Or does she still talk to you like you're three years old?"

Elladora placed her wand back in her robes and ran her fingers through her hair, pulling out a few loose strands. She held onto one and turned around to pick up Draco's wand. Elladora wound her hair around his wand and gave it back to him. She then looked over at Emmalynn.

"Really, Maly?" Elladora said. "You know you're just as capable at this as I am."
