Subject: Falling Down Fri Apr 10 2009, 18:00

Thierry sighed, sitting down on the rock outside. Her head was pounding from all the noise in the common rooms and she couldnt take it any longer. "Stupid...vampires..." She mumbled softly, throwing a rock into the lake. She watched it skip a few times before falling into the water.

Evanna was walking around the school campus trying to breathe. This school got very noisy at times.

Evanna heard a voice that sounded like a hiss. SHe couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl, but either way it sounded menacing. She decided to obey the voice, this could be a stupid decision....but she pulled out her wand as she approached. SHe walked out of the shadows warily, wondering how this would turn out..

Thierry had her wand in her hand as she saw someone come from the shadows. Rolling her eyes, she sat back down.

Evanna looked at the girl who was on a rock and kept her wand in her hand. This girl looks like something is up....should I just leave her alone? Who walks in the forest because they want to talk to someone? Nobody. Unless, she really wants to talk to someone and she's confused about something, or hurt...or scared. Ev's thoughts would have kept her occupied forever, but she surely looked like a weirdo just standing there with her wand, looking at the floor. Ev still didn't trust this girl but, against her better judgement, decided to at least acnowledge her. "Hi," she said. It was the least she could say at this moment, until she figured out this girl. Evanna sometimes didn't like the way she was so talkitive, hoping it wouldn't get her in trouble right now.

Thierry had been putting her wand away until she heard hello. Growling softly, she turned around, looking at the girl. "Do you mind? I happen to be waiting for someone that doesnt concern you." She hissed, standing up.

Ev was surprised that the girl responded to her at all. She didn't want to cause trouble, but she would not tolerate rude behavior, especially from someone she didn't know. "Excuse me?" Ev said surprised. "Why would you go out in the middle of nowhere to meet someone unless..." Ev suddenly looked suspicious and didn't finish her sentence. "WHo are you?" she asked suddenly.

"That is none of your business." Thierry hissed, glaringh at her. She crossed her arms over her chest, raising her eyebrow. "And why are you out here?" She hissed.

"WHat's your problem? You have no right to be rude to me, so just cool your jets. Why won't you tell me who you are unless you are hiding something?" Ev said, which was exactly what she was thinking at the moment. "And, my reason for being out here is simply to get away from all the annoying idiots that inhabit this school. I like peace. My explanation is harmless, i have nothing to hide from you," Evanna told the girl. SHe folded her arms across her chest waiting for an answer. She was probably annoying this girl now, but she wasn't gonna let her be rude. She was raised better than that.

Thierry just smirked, pushing past the girl. "If you must know, I'm waiting for a vampire." She hissed softly, walking over to the rock again. "So either you can become a meal too or leave. Your choice." She said.

Ev snorted a laugh, but quickly realized this girl was serious. "A meal, too? WHat, are they gonna eat you or something? If so, then you are basically commiting suicide by showing up here!" Ev said, surprised at how the conversation had changed. She hoped this girl was alright.

"Wait, so you aren't gonna die? You are just gonna let this...this vampire suck your blood? Is...is that normal?" Ev stuttered. She didn't know much about vampires, but that didn't sound like the usual thing to do. A person who likes....that!? she couldn't even think it, it sounded so....un-natural.

Thierry laughed, almost crazy like. "I love the rush, the feeling. It's like a drug. So addictive." She whispered crazed like, sitting on her rock again.

Ev eyeballed this girl. "Really? So you, um, know this vampire then, personally I suppose?" Evanna didn't know what she was afraid of more- this girl's addiction, or the creature they were speaking of.

"Oh, that's--" Ev's sentence was cut off when she heard a twig snap. Ev looked at the girl with wide eyes, she was suddenly nervous. SHe had nevr met a vampire, well, that she knew of. She didn't know how friendly they were...and wasn't sure if she wanted to meet one, especially if it was gonna be drinking blood from this strange girl..."Umm, maybe it's time for me to go?" Ev asked the girl. SHe had been sidetracked from her worry about a vampire due to questioning the rudeness of the girl.

"Too late." Thierry said, standing up. She pulled her hair into a ponytail, smirking. She turned around, looking at James as he came out of the woods.

Ev's heart started beating really fast. She started breathing deeply and tried to act calm. SHe looked at the girl and wondered what she should do now. Too late! What does that mean? Am I this guys lunch, or what? Evanna probably believed a lot of lies about vampires because she had never known any. SHe didn't realize they were normal human beings. She hoped this guy wouldn't kill her...

James looked around for a few minutes before spotting Thierry. "Whose the new comer." He asked softly, looking over at the girl. He couldnt help but stare at her and he cocked his head to side, confused.

Evanna felt self concious as the vampire, she presumed, looked at her. Ev was wearing skinny jeans and a red tank top with her long hair in loose natural curls around her face and shoulders. She wondered what the vampire was thinking, and what the girl was thinking.

"She cant be it." Thierry told James, laying a hand on his shoulder. James moved from her, walking closer to the girl. "You look...fimiliar." He whispered softly, looking back at Theirry real quick.

Ev's heart started beating faster. The girl whispered something to the vampire and the vampire walked over to Evanna. He spoke to her, and that surprised and scared her. "Umm, I do? I don't think I have met you, my apoligies if I have," Evanna said. She decided that being polite was probably the best thing to do at the moment.

Jamiues grinned at her, making Thierry roll her eyes. "Oh come on! You come here to get blood and then see her and think you found the one." Thierry hissed, rolling her eyes.

"umm, would you like to talk alone?" Evanna asked. SHe was confused. The one? One what exactly? Maybe it's time to leave.... Evanna gave the vampire a smile, hiding her fear. Show no weakness was how she was raised.

Thierry glared at James before glaring at the other girl. "Thank you...you ruined my night." She hissed, pushing past her, walking back to the castle. James cocked his head again, taking another step towards the girl. "You're afraid of me...." he whispered.

Evanna gave the girl a sheepish smile, apologizing with her eyes, or trying to. Ev forgot about the vampire, only for a moment. Her eyes locked in his eyes. He was right, she was afraid of him, but she didn't want to be vulnerable...Too late for that I guess....Evanna had heard about vampires amazing speed and agility. She also had read that they were charming, and she was finding that to be very true. He looked so attractive and inviting. Ev wasn't gonna let his looks decieve her though. She had her wand in hand still, and wondered how effective a curse would be on a vampire, one thing she never read or heard about. She racked her brains for good curses and jinxes to use, if necessary, but she tried to hide the fact she was thinking from him. "SO, what's your name?" Ev asked, nervously. Ev was praying she would live while she made smalltalk.

James smiled softly, closing the gap between them. "Dont fear me." He whispered in her ear, pushig a piece of hair from her face. He moved back a step from her, cirlcing her slowly. He nodded once before speaking. "James Malfoy." He said softly, looking back at her again. "And you would be?" he asked her.

Evanna wanted to trust the vampire. SHe shivered when he pushed her hair away, but not out of fear or cold. SHe cursed her love of physical contact, in her brain. Her ex-boyfriend, of at least a year, loved her weakness for a kiss or a hand across her back. Ev liked this guy-James Malfoy. He seemed, well-mannered and polite, and everything she loved. SHe feared this, but was attracted to it...she was lost in her thoughts for a moment but remembered her manners too. "I am Evanna Lawerence," Ev said, as she turned to keep her eyes on the vampire that had circled her now. She didn't know anything about how they attacked, but it would be un-wise to let him out of view, she was sure.

James laughed softly. "You dont have to fear me. I'm not going to hurt you." He whispered, laying a hand on her shoulder. He let his hand run down her arm softly, laying his head on her shoulder. "Or you could. May make everything more interesting." He whispered in her ear again.

Evanna didn't know what to say. "Well..thanks for your assurance," she decided was polite. SHe hoped she didn't give away and "needless" fear. Ev's heart started to beat faster as James put his head on her shoulder, her eyes widened in shock too, and she was glad he wasn't looking into her eyes. SHe was self concious and wondered if he could hear her heart beating...

James could hear her heart beat, pounding like a drum. He couldnt help but smile again, moving back. "Maybe the Law Soul is right." he whispered to himself, pushing his hair back some. He walked ahead of her, turning to look at her. "How old are you?" he asked her, twisting some of her hair inbetween his fingers.

Evanna saw James's lips quiver, almost like he whispered something, but it was so quick she coudn't tell. "I am nearly sixteen, why? How old are you?" Evanna said answering his question. She let him play with her hair, partly because she wanted him to stay in a good mood, and partly because he was so charming.

She wished she knew about vampires more. All she knew was they sucked blood, they were fast, strong, and charming, and that they are cold and hard like granite. She also recently read that they didn't sleep. She wondered how age was for them.

Ev's eyes widened in shock. "TWO hundred years, that's a long time. And thank you, you are very handsome as I am sure you know," Evanna said trying to be confident. She breathed calmly as he tilted her head up...her mind running wild with many thoughts, good and bad...

James laughed softly again, turning her head some. He was debating rather or not he should kiss her. After a few second he bent down, kissing her softly. When he moved back, he let his hand fall to his side, turning his head to the side again.

Ev was surprised. A vampire just kissed her. SHe was thoughtful for a minute and decided it was nice and she liked it. She looked up at the vampire and smiled at him. She decided to say something, "That was nice. Very nice. But if you don't mind me asking, and ruining the moment and this is hard to voice-why am i not dead right now?" She was attracted to this vampire, and hoped to get to know him better.

Some think its fake..." he said.

Polly blinked, was she hearing this right? Hiding in the bushes really hadent been a good idea. Polly had been practising for her Disllusionment charm exam and had decided to spy on these two people. Slowly she began to edge backwards careful not too touch anything. Her foot collided with a stump and Polly's heard began to race looking around widly she got up and began to run.

James's eyes snapped up, looking towards his right. Someone else was there and he could feel it, hear it, smell it. Seconds later, he heard the pounding of foot steps and he ran, chasing towards where he heard the foot steps.

Evanna's heart started pounding even more. She had been about to open her mouth to say something to James when he took off running. SHe had heard the noise too. What more would she have to be afraid of if she wsa alone in the forest with a vampire? But that at least gave her some time to think..well if he came back. Soul Law...we're meant to be together...that sounds kind of...phony. But I want to believe it...who wouldn't want to be with someone like him....he's, he's perfect. Evanna's brain was split in two right now. One side was logic, she supposed. A vampire and a human, together? Who'd ever heard of it? And he said they were meant to be together...well she did believe in love at first sight. But the logic told her that maybe that was how vampires ticked, maybe they pretended to fall in love with people so they would be off their guard so they are an easier target. She thought she loved James, but she would have to play hard to get, for her own safety, at least for a little while, despite her want to just do the opposite. Evanna sat down on the leaves on hte ground and stared at the floor in concentration and thought.

Evanna looked up, glad to see James. He sat down next to her. She looked at him with tortured eyes. Eyes that were full of desire and want, yet guarded. She decided to voice her problem, "It is difficult to believe, James. I mean I have never met a vampire before, you are the first I have met...well, to my knowledge anyways. So I meet one and he tells me he thinks we are meant to be together. This was while I was hoping not to get killed. It's not like I have no desire for you, " she paused to look at him and continued on, "But, and I really hope this doesn't offend you, well...I mean, how would you react," Evanna asked James. SHe looked at him with curious and longing eyes. She wanted to kiss him....but she wanted answers. She hoped that he wouldn't be mad because she didn't embrace his "we should be together" line and jsut run off together. Even if that's what she wanted to do. She wanted to be carefree....but right now she had to be cautious....

Thierry grabbed the thick book from her shelf, walking fastly. Maybe the quicker she got there, the faster she could hurt James. He was nothing but pathetic in her eyes and she just wanted to hurt him. When she arrived their, she threw the book beside Evanna before glaring at James. "Whenever you need blood...leave me out..go to her." Thierry hissed, motioning to Evanna with a nod of her head. James glared at her. "Get out. I know more donors who don't get jealous." he said.

Evanna saw the girl storm up. She caught the book with two hands but didn't open it up. This girl was odd...she liked him to...to suck her blood? Evanna decided to not get involved. SHe remembered her wand in hand and stuck it down her shirt partially, just to get it out of the way, and opened the book and tried not to listen to the argument a few feet away.
