Thierry sighed, sitting down on the rock outside. Her head was pounding from all the noise in the common rooms and she couldnt take it any longer. "Stupid...vampires..." She mumbled softly, throwing a rock into the lake. She watched it skip a few times before falling into the water.

Dereck grabbed her jaws tightly in his hands. "Last time I checked, I was your boyfriend, soulmate. It gives me all the damn rights I want." He growled softly before letting her face go and slapping her head.

Evanna whimpered when he slapped her. She looked at him with her hands caressing her face which was already making a bruise, and said,"You are gonna regret everything you have done to me today. Just wait. Do what you want now, but you'll get what's coming to you." she whispered glaring at him. Her body was heaving, as she tried to breath calmly. The pain in her foot was driving her insane, and her wand had long since been thrown away from her. Ev bent down and held her foot straight; it was dangling at an odd angle. She was afraid, very afraid right now. He could kill her in the blink of an eye, but there would be people to avenge her death, just because she didn't talk to them often didn't mean anything. She still couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with James, she was starting to question if this was even James at all, maybe it was some magic she was unaware of, or maybe (and she hoped not) this was the true James and everything else had been a fake. This thought hurt her and she pushed it out of her mind thinking it had to be something else.

"I regret nothing, love. See....while you were pushing James away instead of helping him. I got stronger. He thinks I'm dead, but his pain brought me back. Made me stronger. Why he was rude to you? I made him do that." He hissed, bending down to looked at her.

Evanna looked up. "Wh-who are you then? And where's J-James?" she stuttered with fear. Her nightmare was coming true. She felt a sense of hopelessness now, and didn't know what to do.

"He is where you left him. In your room. Dying most likely." Dereck hissed, running his hand down her neck softly. "I see why he likes your blood...so irrestible. So mouth watering..." he whispered.

Evanna's voice went into a high pitch scream as she yelled, "Get AWAY from ME!!!" SHe tried pushing him away and bit her lip thinking I don't wanna break more bones, but I don't wanna be sucked dry and left for the crows. So she kicked and punched and pulled his hair and went on a full out tantrum. She found a stick and started stabbing whatever she could, and yelling the whole time things like "Help!" and "Let me go!".

Dereck growled, grabbing at her arms. After a while, he had them pinned down again, glaring.

Tears started streaming down Ev's face but she didn't give up. She knew if she tried to fight his grip both her hands would be broken along with her foot, which was throbbing insanely by now. She felt sore all over her body and she was breathing heavily. She glared at him and said, "You have forced me to do this." She closed her eyes and let out a high pitched, bloody murder scream. She continued to scream and wondered where the hell everyone was today and why nobody was saving her."LET GOOOOOO!!!!" she yelled and kept yelling.

Evanna whimpered because even though this guy was as gorgeous as James he was the total opposite, almost like an evil twin. Evanna's eyes burst open at the thought. She brought her knees up and tried to push his body up, off of her. She wasn't enjoying being taken advantage of and wished the real James would help her. Evanna didn't kiss him back at all, she tried to pull her head away from him, but it was hard since she was on the floor.

"You cant hurt me, Evanna. I'm not James." he hissed before felt himself lifted off. James stood behind him, anger written all over his face.

Evanna sighed in relief. She crawled away from them, getting out of the line of fire. She sat with both hands wrapped around her ankle because she could feel the full force of the pain, now. She wanted to yell at the other guy but decided to just be quiet and say her prayers of thanks.

James punched Dereck, who dodged it and tackled him to the ground, holding him by the neck. "I already hurt you once." Dereck hissed.

Evanna let out a squeal, "NO!" she shouted. She gasped and clamped her hand over her mouth, she didn't want to attract the guy that looked like James' attention. She rocked back and forth on the floor saying "Oh my gosh" over and over. She didn't want to see what happened and put her face in her hands, wishing there was something she could do.

James got his leg up, kicking Derek in the stomach. For a few seconds, they tumbled until finally Dereck punched him

Evanna gasped and bit her lip. It was so hard to watch something indestructable get beaten up. She whispered, "This is all my fault" She looked at James and wished she could protect him. It bugged her being defenseless, and she looked around for her wand. It was several yards away from where Derek threw it away from her. She looked up at the two guys and half crawled half dragged herself over towards her wand, quietly, trying to not grab James' twin attention.

James growled, trying to punch Dereck again. But failed and Dereck pulled a dagger from his pocket. James's eyes widen, trying to move from him.

Evanna decided to watch how things would play out before she tried any magic, plus she didn't want to curse the wrong guy with them moving all over the place, she wasn't even sure which one was which. She looked at her foot and knew she couldn't heal it all the way but she did manage to make a wrap appear out of nowhere and put it around her foot as a sort of brace. She looked at her arms and saw bruised forming from where Derek grabbed her and held her to the floor.

"No, you arent going anywhere." Dereck hissed, jabbing the dagger into Jame's side. James yelled out of pain and collasped on the ground, passed out.

Evanna screamed. "NO!!!!" she yelled. "James...no" she whispered hopelessly. She stood up, ignoring pain in her foot, anger rising up in her, and pointed her wand at Derek screaming, "You jerk!! STUPEFY!!" she closed her eyes not wanting to see whether or not a curse would work on a vampire, never reading anything about it.

Dereck growled, tackling her to the ground again. "I maybe a jerk, but you are the tramp. And now, I want you. And I will have you." he growled softly.

Evanna was determined not to give up, and was going to try every card in the deck till one fit. She looked up at Derek and said, "You are such a giggle. You are so pathetic, aren't you? Coming to spy on your brother?" She didn't yell it, she was going to try with the mind games.

Evanna jumped when Derek dissapeared. She sat up and looked around making sure he wasn't just hiding.

Dereck stood at his house, walking in. He would plan his attack soon on her. He smirked, laughing softly. James groaned, trying to move.

Evanna gasped, having momentarily forgotten about James. She jumped up and started running over to James, but tripped and almost fell due to her foot. She gingerly walked over to James and looked at him, at a loss for words. She knew he was hurting, a lot.

"Me too," Evanna said. "Here you need to sit up, I need to see what kind of injuries we're working with." She hugged him carefully saying, "I thought that was going to be it, for both of us," she said sobbing.

Ev nodded and said, "I'm sorry, it was just so scary. I almost died...and you too!" she said. She handed her wand to James saying, "Do you want to do what you can, or go to the hospital wing?"

"Boy are we a whacked up couple or what?" she asked trying to lighten up the mood. She was hurt and so was he, that's what she was trying to laugh at. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea for us to go to the hospital wing," she added She stood up and started walking towards the castle, limping, whimpering quietly, every other step she took.

When they made it to the hospital wing she opened the door and one of the nurses ran over and started talking real fast to her. "oh, my goodness, dear, what happened to you? Nevermind that, we'll worry about it later. Come lay down," and she led Evanna over to a bed. Evanna saw that she was dirty and had bruises and cuts all over, and her broken foot, and possibly sprained her wrist from punching Derek.

James limped in behind her, leaning against the wall. "You ok?" he asked her softly.

"I will be," she said. In truth she was acting a lot tougher than she wanted to. She felt like screaming. Her ribs were starting to hurt from Derek throwing her on the ground, and she rubbed them softly. She looked back at James, "Why don't you let them help you out, lay down," she said gesturing to all the beds.

"I'm fine. I'm already healing." he told her, nodding once.

Evanna said, "That's lucky for you. Too bad I can't".

Just then the nurse came back over with a handful of bottles. "Take this, it'll help for pain," she said handing her a small bottle, "and, take this one, it'll help the bruises heal up faster", she handed her a purple bottle, "Now, what else is wrong with you m'dear?" she said questioningly.

"Well, my right foot is broken, I am pretty sure. And my right wrist hurts a lot, not sure if it's broken, but maybe sprained. Oh, and my ribs...something isn't right with them, but not broken, I don't think," Evanna said, giving the nurse a status report.

The nurse rolled her eyes saying, "Good job, honey. You really need to take care of yourself, you're only given one body. I'll be right back," she said bustling away towards her office.

Evanna turned back to look at James, wondering what was running through his mind.

"She thinks I abuse you." James said queitly, biting the inside of her cheek. Being a mind reader was the best for him, letting him know what everyone thought of him.

Evanna looked at James shocked, she was intune with James telling her what other people thought all the time. She was mad at the nurse for thinking like that of James.

The nurse walked back over to Ev with a brace and a wrap. She looked up at James once while she wrapped Evanna's foot. "Ow!" Evanna shouted because the nurse was looking at James not her foot.

"Oh, sorry, dear," the nurse said soothingly. "Now, I can heal your foot in a jiffy, but it'll still be sore. And as for your wrist, well we can only keep it still-so don't use it. And, we can take an X-ray of your ribs if you'd like, but I think they're just bruised. The best thing I can say is take this for a few days," here she handed Evanna yet another bottle, "and the pain will go away."

Evanna listened quietly taking this all in. She said, "No, I don't want an X-ray. So can I go now?"

When the nurse opened her mouth to answer, a patient at the opposite end of the wing shouted out in pain. The nurse groaned and said, "Yes, you can leave," and she scurried over to the yelling patient.

"She thinks I should leave you alone." James said, picking Evanna up. He walked from the wing, walking towards his common room.

Evanna smiled at James saying, "We haven't been to your dorm in a while." She hugged him as he carried her thinking, I'm so glad to have you back. I'm happy you're safe and alive.

James didnt say anything as he walked down the stairs. He just wanted to lay down and relax. "Maybe we should go our seperate ways." He said suddenly, sitting her down on the ground.

Evanna was shocked because it was a sudden decision, but she understood because they were both tired from a crazy day. She shrugged and said, "Okay, well, I'll catch up with you later, because now that I am slowing down-I'm exhausted." She gave him a kiss on the cheek, said "Love ya", then headed off.

Evanna looked at James and said, "oh" softly. She didn't know what to say. She looked at the floor and she went scatterbrained, she was at a loss for words. She stood up straighter and said, "Okay, I understand James. I'll see you around, then." And before she could do or say anything she could possibly regret she walked off. She understood she could take this in many possible ways, and was trying to figure out which way she would.

Evanna turned slowly to face James, the misunderstanding sinking in slowly. "oh," she said in a small voice. She looked at the ground and said, "So we are breaking up for my well-being? And once Derek leaves me alone...well I guess we'll deal with that when it happens. But...how am I gonna stay safe? If he's gonna be watching me...is there nothing I can do? What if...what if he comes after you?" she asked frightened.
