Subject: Falling Down Fri Apr 10 2009, 18:00

First topic message reminder :

Thierry sighed, sitting down on the rock outside. Her head was pounding from all the noise in the common rooms and she couldnt take it any longer. "Stupid...vampires..." She mumbled softly, throwing a rock into the lake. She watched it skip a few times before falling into the water.

After some time, James woke up, the night no long in his arm, but the blood still on him. He tried to get up, but the pain was to much. With fighting himself, he got up and started walking to the castle, tears welding in his eyes no matter how hard he fought them.

Evanna woke up gasping. Her dream was horrible. James was attacked by something, with knives, and it tried to kill James. She had tears in her eyes and said, "It's okay, it's justa dream Evanna. Just a dream..."

James made his way into the Ravenclaw Common Room, thankful no one was up. he walked up the stairs to Evanna's room, only to fall as he did so.

Evanna heard a thud. She hopped out of bed, wiping the tears from her eyes. She opened the door and went tot he stairs, only to see they were a slide. She squinted in the dark and saw James lying on the floor at the bottom of the slide, looking beat up and exhausted. She whimpered looking at him and slid down the slide saying, James! What happened?!" She looked at him with fear and pain, seeing his wounds. Her mind was running wild with things that could have happened to him.

"Just help me up." He hissed harshly, groaning from the pain of falling down the slide. His arm was hurting and his head was pounding. "Please, Evanna." He whispered softly.

Evanna put James' good arm over her shoulder and tried to cradle his weight on her and stood up. She didn't realize how heavy rock was until now, and knew it didn't matter, she had to help him. The slide had turned back to stairs by the time Evanna got James off the floor and started her way up the stairs. "COme on, honey, we can make it," she said, but she was talking to herself as much as to James.

"We are going to fall again." He mumbled, trying to run up the stairs by himself. "Just let go before we fall." He mumbled hasrhly.

Evanna said, "Oh" because she didn't think about how he would cause the stairs to dissapear again. She looked at James and let him go and ran as fast as she could to the top, crossing her fingers she'd be in luck. She made it up and looked back to James.

James used the last bit of engery he could muster and ran up the stairs. He was breathing heavily, and he looked at her before his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell into a heap at her feet.

Evanna squealed. Using all her strength she got him to his feet, and wrapped his arms around her neck. She carried him as much as she could, but basically dragged him to her room. Grunting and breathing heavily, she let him down on her bed, grateful her bed wasn't very high up. She looked at his arm, limp. She looked at him, passed out from pain, no doubt. She gingerly tried to take off his shirt to see his wounds better. The one on his head seemed to be the worst. Her heart was racing with fear and she practiced breathing slowly so she could figure out how to help him. The first thing she needed to do was to clean the wounds. But, instead she started crying. She looked at him and said, "Oh, James." She kissed his cheek, and she wondered if a vampire could die from pain like humans.

"Hm..leave me alone..." James mumbled, trying to open his eyes. "I take time to heal." Is what he thought he said, but it was just a jumble of worlds. He tried to move some, but couldnt.

Evanna looked at him and said, "Don't talk...or move. Just relax honey." She wished she knew more about vampires but thought she read something about how they healed themselves...but she wasn't sure.

James nodded, shivering a bit. He groaned again, trying to turn over. It was useless because he landed on his arm. He screamed, trying to turn the other way.

"James!" Evanna screeched. "Please! Don't move, not yet anyways. If you need something, just tell me," she said. She was scared, whatever got him must have been horrible. I mean, look what it did to him, and he's a vampire! Imagine what it could have done to me!

"JUST GIVE ME YOUR NECK THEN!" James finally shouted out, his eyes snapping to her neck. He was breathing heavily and he tried to let his body heal but it wasnt.

Evanna jumped at his voice. He's out of it, Ev, just calm down. He'd never do that sort of thing otherwise she told herself. She went over to the bed and laid down, gently lifting James' hand to her neck.

James pulled her down roughly, blocking out everything. He didnt care if she struggled or anything. He bit her neck roughly, letting her blood fill him.

Evanna whimpered softly and bit her lip to keep from making noise. She knew James' life could be at stake if he didn't regain strength quickly.

Evanna gasped with pain. Now this is getting out of hand she thought painfully. She squinted her eyes shut waiting for it to be over. what ever happened to 'hurts good'??

James didnt plan to let go and he wasnt about to until he felt like she was about to collaspe in his arms. Growling deadly, he pushed her away.

Evanna breathed deeply, gasping for more air. She rolled on her back and breathed thinking thank you. As she groped for her neck rubbing the wound, she hoped he was done.

Evanna calmed down enough to see that James was still hurting. She said, "We need to clean that." Annoyance and fear washed from her and was replaced with a sense of duty. She stood up and wondered if she could take some supplies from the hospital wing without getting caught and James in trouble. She didn't want people to see him and wonder what happened. She herself didn't know, and guessed it probably wasn't good.

Evanna felt the temper back again. She determinedly walked to James and grabbed his shoulder making him stop walking. "You know what? You need to stop acting like this. I am really sorry you got hurt, which I don't even know how you got hurt because you won't tell me. But I am trying to help you and you are acting like a jerk. I don't know what's your problem but you need to deal with it, James." Evanna said.

James felt the anger in his blood boil. "First off, dont touch me. And second, mind your own damn bussiness." He hissed to her, pushing her from him. He ignored her, turning back to the sink.

Evanna gaped at him with anger and surprise. "None of my business?! Really? Okay, fine! I hope you don't die!" she yelled at him stalking out of the restroom, slamming the door behind her. She took deep breaths as she walked back into her dorm. When she got there she put on some other clothes and made her way out of the castle. Fuming, she walked around the grounds trying to calm down, her mind running wild with angry thoughts and hurt feelings which she tried to supress.

James gripped the side of the sink, looking down. He felt his head spinning out of control and he slipped, falling down on the floor. "Dammit." he growled, trying to get back up. The monster that had attacked James looked up, smirking. He could smell James all over the girl and quietyl made his way out.

Evanna started mumbling to herself, "Who does he think he is? JUst because he is stronger than me, does he think he can talk to me like that? Nobody talks to me like that. You shouldn't ever talk like that, it's hurtful." She was so angry, and when tears started coming down her cheeks she got even more angry, but at herself. SHe was mad at him, but mad at herself for getting this mad. She made her way around the lake, walking with her head down, looking at the ground as her eyes followed her feet.

Dereck smirked, climbing down from his tree. "And what is a girl like you crying out here..." He asked in a seductive tone. He walked up behind her, wrappping his arms around. "I'm sorry..." He told her, pulling her close. If anything, she would believe it was James.

"J-James?" Evanna said. She was happy to hear his voice, which surprised her, since she was supposed to be mad at him right now. She made her smile go away and wiped a tear from her face saying, "LIke you don't know what's wrong, you jerk. Just get away from me. I see you healed pretty fast, by the way." she said trying to get out of his grip.

Evanna tried to slide out of his grip again. She wanted to stay in his arms though, they were so inviting. "Look, I know you were attacked, but you know what I tried to be nice and caring to you, even when you nearly sucked me dry James." she said coldly, fighting with her desire and need.

"I lost alot of blood, but I let you go. That's called blood lust....and your blood...was like nothing I've had before." He told her softly, letting her go. James couldnt handle the pain anymore and he closed his eyes, begging for death.

"DOnt try that on me, James. We've discussed my blood before, why are you acting so weird?" Evanna asked. She looked into his eyes suspiciously. "Did you take some medicine or something?" she asked, trying not to care, but failing miserably.

Evanna felt suspicious, like something wasn't right. She looked at James and said, "SO are you gonna tell me what attacked you? What was it, do you know? And why?" She felt herself getting dragged back in. She cursed James' charm.

Evanna was going to be worried for him when he talked about pain, but that weird suspicion crawled back up in her. Why do you keep bringing up my blood? she thought. "I know my blood helps you." she said. For some reason she sensed danger, and quickly looked towards the forest. She suddenly was fearful that whatever got James could still be out there. She wondered why James was letting her be out here, if they were in danger. She wondered if he handled the monster already...but he couldn't have, he didn't even know what it was...Evanna gasped frightened. "What is going on, James?" she asked. She didn't have to say everything out loud, he could sift through her thoughts.

Evanna looked at him, shocked, and followed him towards the castle, determined to get a decent answer. "You aren't acting normal, James. And medicine doesn't do this to a person. You're not answering any of my questions, either. You just aren't acting like yourself and it's freaking me out. Maybe I'm just scared because of whatever got you though. And that's another thing. You're being so laid back about that, and you would normally make me go hide in a cave or something until everything was 100% safe." she said. Her heart was beating faster because she knew these were all true points.

"You know what, I'll catch up with you later. Come see me when you're acting normal, because you're starting to freak me out, James." Evanna told him dismissively. She walked ahead of him towards the castle trying to sort things out. She knew in her heart something wasn't right, and she just wished she knew what. It was like she was dealing with a whole different person, he wasn't even James. She pushed crazy ideas out of her mind, thinking they were totally unlikely to be true.

Evanna kicked James in the stomach, but heard a crack and felt a sharp searing pain run up her leg. She broke her foot. She screamed in pain as she tried to get out of his grip. Her hear was racing and she couldn't think of anything to say. She was appaled at his behavior and decided she was going to lose anyways and said, "WHo do you think you are, my freakin father? Get your damn hands off me!" she yelled.
