Wondering (Vi and Odd)

Henry didnt know what to do. Somedays he felt like Phoenix was there and others, he felt like she didnt even care for him. But he couldnt complain, Alice was the highlight of his life. Just seeing her smiled made him happier then everything. But he couldnt see her anymore and he sighed, leaning back on the tree.

The woman started grabbing fabric and wrapping it around Jessibel. After thirty minutes, she had ten different outfits, plus night clothing for Jessibel. "There you go, love." The woman told her, smiling.

Henry looked up as Jessibel came from the back. He had three dresses, two t-shirts, and some pants for Alice and something he thought Jessibel may like. "Everything ok?" He asked her softly, walking to the counter

Henry nodded, paying for the stuff. "Come on." Henry told her, taking a hold of her hand once again. If she wanted to, she could take her hand from him, but he didnt say anything as he walked back over to the store where Alice was.

"Come on, Alice." henry said, picking her up. She pouted for a few minutes before grabbing the toys and things she won and running to Henry. He picked her up, grabbing Jessibel's hand again before disapparating.

Alice ran off to her room, slamming her door shut. Henry sighed, allowing himself to fall back on the couch. He leaned his head back, closing his eyes.

"No. She is just angry. She will get over it soon or it's back to her mother's she goes. She doesnt mind other men with her mom but me...different story. Dont know why." He said, opening his eyes to look at Jessibel.

"Come here." Henry told her softly, closing his eyes again.

Henry wrapped his arm around her softly, playing with her hair. "I'm really sorry. I know how it feels...to feel like everyone knows what you are and afraid they are going to hurt you." he told her, closing his eyes again.

Henry nodded, but said nothing. After a few minutes, he stood up, walking to his bedroom. "Come on and let's put your thigns up." he said softly.

Henry pushed some of his clothes back, grabbing hers to put in the closet. Then he grabbed her night clothes, feeling his face grow hot. "You may not want to wear this." He mumbled, putting them in a drawer.

Henry looked at her before walking to the bathroom. He turned the shower on adn shut the door quietly.

Alice growled softly, turning her head slowly. "Get out of my room." She hissed, glaring at Jessibel. "You took my daddy from me...get out!" She yelled, tears in her eyes. Henry got out of the shower, towel around his waist. He made sure Jessible was gone before walking into the bedroom.

"He likes you..I know it. He has been mean to me." She said, tears slowly falling from her eyes. Henry got dressed quickly before wlaking to his den, sighing.

"I dont wanna talk to my daddy. I want you gone." She cried, laying on her bed. "Now get out!" She yelled. Henry leaned over his notebook, writing down some things for the Minister and the Law Department.

"In here." Henry mumbled, not looking up or registering who it was. "What do you want?' He asked a bit harshly, trying to finish up what he was doing. He lifted his glasses up for a few seconds, rubbing his eyes.

"No..no, come here, Jessibel." He said, leaning back in his chair. "It doesnt need to be turned in until next month, I have time." He said to her, rubbing his eyes again.

"Yes?" Henry asked, yawning again. He felt himself start to doze off but he tried to stay awake.

Henry nodded, standing up. "I explained it the best I could." He mumbled softly, grabbing Jessibel's hand. "here..sit here or whatever. Just dont touch my papers." He mumbled before going to find Alice. Alice sat on her bed, playing with a doll.

"Alice...love..?" Henry called out, opening her door. She glared up at Henry, tears still in her eyes. "Do you want me to send her away?" henry asked softly, feeling a pain in his chest. Alice nodded, twisting the head off one of the dolls. Henry nodded, walking back to his den. "Come on...get your stuff..and get out." he said harshly.

Henry walked to the bedroom, grabbing a bag from the closet. He put her stuff in it, his face cold adn hard. He pushed the bag into her arms, turning around to see Alice standing at the door, tears still in her eyes. She ran off quickly and Henry walked from the room, going into the living room.

Henry heard her crying and he wanted to run into his room and pick her up. But he didnt want to make anything harder for them and he glared softly at Alice who was smiling and playing with a doll in the living room. "I hope you are happy now, you just turned into your mother. Self-fish and rude to everyone's feelings but your own." He said a bit harshly. He stood up, walking to the den and slamming the door shut.

Henry stood up quicklly, walking back up front. He watched Jessibel for a few seconds before crossing the living room. He turned her around and hugged her to him, kissing her softly. "I know where you can go...." He whispered to her, opening the door. He handed her a key and turned to Alice, who was glaring at him. "I cant do this..." he shook his head, keeping his grip on Jessibel. "I cant be around you, Alice. It's like being with your mother all over agian." he said, pushing his hair back. He was confused beyond words. He wanted Jessibel with him and Alice, but he couldnt let Jessibel walk in a world were she was scared and couldnt be trapped by Alice all the time. "Either you like her or you dont. I'm sure your mother would be happy to learn I'm not happy, but just for once stop thinking about yourself." he whispered softly, tears stinging his eyes.

"I cant forget my blood kin." He told her, shaking his head. Alice glared at him deadly, tears in her eyes again. "Why? Why cant I be happy!? Mommy does what I want!" she yelled at him. Henry growled softly. "Because I dont baby a spoiled brat." He hissed at her, shaking his head agian. "Your mother was right, you do belong to her." He said, walking to Alice's room and grabbing her stuff. Alice followed behidn him, pulling her things from him. "I can do it myself. I dont want anything from you." She said, hitting Henry's hand.

"Yes she does. I had to live with her mother for three years, three damn year and I finally got rid of her. I dont need another self-fish person in my life who cares for no one but her feelings. She cant even let me be happy with someone I care to must about." he growled softly, watchign Alice throw her things into a bag. Alice turned around, throwing a book and a shoe at Henry, who dogded them. "I hate you! Mommy was right, you are nothing but a meanie and care for only you!" She yelled back at him, grabbing her pink bag and pushing pass him.

"You stay here." He hissed at Jessibel in a demanding voice. He grabbed Alice's hand, disapparating with her. Alice tried to pull away from him, glaring. "You dont care for me! You never have!" she cried. Henry looked down at her, shaking his head. "You arent do this to me, you arent going to make me suffer just for your own happiness. You are five years old and should already know manners but you know nothing of the word. You fit with your mother." he hissed softly, walking her to the door. He opened it, looking around. The house was quiet and it looked boarded up. He couldnt believe it. Nixy wasnt even there. "She left yesterday. She didnt say where she was going." Someone said to him from his left. He turned to see the landlord, who was glaring. Henry sighed, looking down at Alice. "Why didnt you tell me this?" he asked her. Alice looked like she was about to cry from the shock of seeing the house empty. "Mommy?" She asked softly, looking inside.
