| What did you think of old dumbledore after Sirius died? I have heard a lot of people started to dislike him for not being open with Harry as it might have saved Sirius from dying, though myself, I understood why he did it, and if possible, I liked Dumbledore even more. I know there will probably be a few people that disagree with me, though I would be interested to know what you think? | |

| i can see why dumbledore hid it from harry and it proves that even dumbledore makes mistakes. i wonder if this opens up more questions for mistakes that dumbledore has made or is going to make? | |

| I think that Dumbledore should have told Harry sooner, but now thinking about it Harry would have tried to play the hero yet again and gone after Voldemort way too soon. He would not have been ready to face him and he would not have been able to kill him either because of the horcruxes.
(I love this part of the forums. You are so set in your own ways until you see what other people have written and then you're like "Oh yeah, why didn't I see that before!) | |

| OOh why didnt I see that before! lol I think it made me srespect him especially when he broke down but I think for Harry's sake he should of told him bits and peices earlier like do the first few lessons with him not the whole thing obviously. But think about how much more they could of covered if they had started the year before | |

| yes indeed. dumbledore is truly needed and is understandable. yes it was a lost he died. hey look at HBP thread u will see lots about that. but what interesting to notice, that dumbledore was losing respect from the outside world. the ministry, the world as whole, he kept losing respect even though at the end he was right. he didnt seem so powerful anymore at the end, when his arm turned black at HBP , and when he got hurt by drinking the potion. | |

| Yea but even though he was losing power he didnt care.... thats not all he cares about..... its a good thing he didnt tell harry much or harry might have felt "powerful" too and would have tried to take on voldemort. | |

| true not many were and in a way this made dumbledor more powerful then voldemort. voldemort was afriad of dying and would of had all of this deatheaters die before he did and dumbledor went and saved harry life | |

| While I understand why Dumbledore kept the information from Harry and his fears he was too young, ect. ect. I also feel that Harry deserved to know the truth at the latest when Voldemort returned in order to prepare him for what could possibly happen. Or even in the sixth book when he suspected that connection would have been the perfect opening to discuss it. However, I don't blame him or hate him for doing it. | |
