Corbus:Man from another world

Larkson sighed, slipping on her shoes before running out of her house. She was late, but she didnt care to much. It's not like her father could fire her from the coffee shop. She smiled as she made her way inside, taking her jacket off and hanging it up by a few more. "Father, sorry I'm late. Dog had to be cleaned up and taken out." She shouted across the shop, no expecting anyone being in there. She looked suprised to turn around and see someone there.

"Oh...sorry sir." She said, putting her apron on and slipping her blonde hair into a messy bun. "Is there anything else I can get you before I go back?" She asked him, smiling a bit. He had to be a new comer. She knew everyone in town and she had never seen him around the town or in the city.

Larkson nodded before smiling. "I could get you a French Vinalla. It's really good." She told him, tying her apron tighter around her. "Or you can get a frozen mocha." She told him, pulling out a tablet. "And we have food. Muffins, donuts, bagels, sweets.." She said, naming them off.

"Toasted or not? Also, we have strawberry, regular, blueberry, cinonnom. We also have cream cheese to spread on it." She told him, writing down what he wanted.

"Ok.." Larkson mumbled, writing it down. She smiled at him before making her way to the back. "Here, daddy." She said, handing him the paper and walking to the fridge. She pulled a bag of bagels out and walked to the over, turning it on broil. She grabbed a eggs and cracked them, making eggwash before dipping the bagels into them and sprinking different topics on them. She just had to remember which was which.

Larkson grabbed a small plate and took the drink from her father and walked back into the front, stopping at the mans table. "Here you go." She said softly before pulling her tablet back out. She walked to the cash register, getting what the person needed and nodding as they left. "If you want, I can show you around." Larkson told the man, smiling.

Larkson nodded, walking to where his dishes were and taking them. "I'll ask my father if I can take my break now and help you." She siad, walking to the back. She told her father what she was doing and he nodded, not bothering to aruge. "Well, come on." She told him, taking her apron off and hanging it up.

"Larkson Pelit...yours?" She asked him, slipping on a coat she had grabbed before walking outside. She looked around the town for a few seconds before sighing, pulling her hair out of the ponytail she had it.

"That's a nice name." Larkson said, smiling to him. "That is the courthouse....and that is the hair place...and that is most of use go our shopping. We have the coffee house, but we do breakfast sometimes when Mr. Kracs is sick. Poor fellow. He is feeling down. He has been alive for a long time, but he will be missed. Father is thinking of buying his diner for me so I can keep up the tradtion for Mr. Kracs seeing as he doesnt have kids." She told him, pointing to the diner down the street. "Um...that's the police station, those are the schools...are you ok?" She asked him, stopping in mid sentence.

"A place where you ear..? Corbus...tell me the truth...you arent here just to be here...you are looking for someone....hate to tell you...but there is only one hotel...and no one has checked into it..unless it was the room that was broken into the other day. I think I could get into it." She told him, eyebrow raised/

Larkson didnt like the look he had but nodded, grabbing his arm and walking towards the hotel. In seconds they were there and she looked around before pulling a pin from her hair. "Keep guard." She mumbled, picking the lock.

Larkson smiled as she heard the lock click and she walked into the room, pulling him with her. "What the...?" She asked, looking around the room.

Larkson turned around, shaking her head. "I..it's nothing." She mumbled, pushing passed him and walking from the room. "Look around if you want." She said, leaning agianst the wall.

"Come on...I'll drive you.." Larkson mumbled as he walked from the room. She shut the door back, making sure to lock it and grabbed his arm, walking.

Larkson stopped at her car, opening the doors. She got into her side, putting her seat beat on. "Come on...otherwise you will never get there." She told him.

Larkson started driving, biting her lip. "What are you?" She asked him, keeping her eyes on the road.

"No you arent..." Larkson said softly. She turned into a driveway, turning to him. "You almost called me earthingly...I may be blonde, but I'm not dumb." She told him.

"Stop lying to me! Your last name...its real. It's from a book I read...that happen to be in the window of the book store." She said softly. "I will keep it a secret...and..and what if I said I can help you find that person you are looking for? A girl came here a few months back...and she talked to me some..." She said softly.

Larkson nodded, looking at him. "I swear...I wont tell anyone." She told him, her eyes wide with fear.

Larkson looked at her hand before looking up at him. "All that I learn will not speak to others about anything not normal to this world..." She whispered softly, looking up at him.

"Stop grinning...it scares me." She said softly, glaring a bit. "Now...to the forest." She ask him.

"We can talk on the way to the forest." She said, backing out of her driveway.

Larkson nodded, turning her car near the forest. As she drove, she sighed. "What are you?" She asked him again.

Larkson nodded, turning down a street. "And why are you here?" She asked him, stopping at a stop sign.

"That helps alot." She mumbled under her breath, glaring over at him.

"You arent helping me, Corbus..." She said softly, parking her car. "Here we are.." She mumbled, but kept the doors locked. "Tell me everything I want and need to know." She said, turnng to him.
