Prying Eyes

Clafin walked through the Common Room portrait and headed towards the Grand staircase. She started walking down to the dungeons, but she stopped when she thought she heard something. Clafin spun around, looking for signs of someone. She couldnt have someone follow her again. Last time she had tried to bring someone to the meeting quickly turned into a disaster. I honestly doubt someone would be following you Clafin. Just calm down. As soon as your down in the dungeons you'll be fine. she tought to herself. She took another step, but heard a noise behind her. Well, just to be safe, I might as well try to lose them...if there's anybody actually there. she thought.

bella followed clafin practicing her invisibility spell, she loved making people nervous

You are being complete ridiculous Clafin thought to herself as she went through a shortcut to the fourth floor. Then took the stair case to the library. She went to the darkest part she could find and crouched to the floor and listened for foot steps.

bella walked behind clafin and released her invisibility spell then said "BOO!!" and started laughing

Clafin screamed as a girl appeared in front of her and yelled at her. Clafin whipped out her wand. "Lumos" she said quietly. With better light, Clafin examined the girl. She looked to be much taller then herself. After a moment Clafin made sure she hadn't met her before. She stuck out her hand at the girl, who was now laughing. "Hello, Im Clafin."

"I'm bella, bella lestrange"she said

Lestrange? Oh great this is exactly who I dont need following me. Shes probably a Death Eater or something Clafin thought to herself. "Well, nice to meet you." she said cheerily.

"you hesitated" bella said smiling "you don't like my name, which tells me your probably in the order or else afraid of death eaters, don't worry I'm not one"she said then thought to herself "yet"

"I apologize, I'm afraid I might be quick to judge. Someone from your family er... Well, are you going to tell me why you're following me?" she asked quickly to get away from the subject of Sirius.

"just practicing for class and having fun at the same time" bella said

"This late at night? Clafin asked as a quick retort.

"well, I was up"said bella

Clafin looked at her for a moment. Is she on to me? Does she know where I'm going? No, she can't. Clafin thought to herself as she tried to read her. "Tell me, are you named after Belatrix?" she asked as her face darkened with hatred.

"yes I am, but that's because shes my mom. trust me im nothing like her"bella said lieing about the last part.

Sensing something false in her voice, Clafin had a sudden and strong dislike for the girl. "You? You are her daughter?" Clafin asked as her voice shook with hatred.

"will my last name is lestrange" bella said sensing the hatred in clafins voice she smiled even harder "so, what are you doing up so late"

Clafin quickly turned around and picked out a random book from the seventh shelf. She looked down at it. The title read "Charm Your Own Cheese". She turned back to Bella. "Well I was just wondering about how to make a block of cheese turn pink. So, I thought I'd come down to look at this book for a moment." she said with confidence as she went over and sat at a table. She quickly opened to the index filing her finger down the list trying to make her excuse more convincing.

"really, I love pink."bella lied "maybe we could read it together"

[i]Great Im was either talking to a total bafoon or a really good actress. For your sake Clafin, you'd better hope she's the bafoon." she thought to herself before looking up at Bella. "Yea, of course." she said through a huge grin.

bella grinned back and sat down next to clafin looking at the book as if she where interested "there color changing charms page 436"she said

Clafin quickly flipped to the page Bella had said and looked down the list of colors to find that pink wasnt there. "Agh well, that ruins that for me." Clafin said allowed. She continued looking through the list. "Hmmm, lavendar is a nice color" she said as she pulled out a peice of parchment from her book bag. She then reached for a quill already on the table and began writing down the charm. Really Clafin, changing the color of cheese? Thats the best you can do? she tought to herself.

"black cheese, I could trick my brother into thinking hes eating something rancid"said bella laughing as she too pulled out a parchment and wrote down the charm.

"You have a brother?" Clafin asked as a shiver rran down her back from the sound of Bella's laugh.

"yeah but hes a sourpuss"she said "he's always talking about something called the order and and having to meet with some club called the DA"

"Oh! That's...odd." she said trying to cover her surprise. A Lestrange in the DA? I've never noticed him before. I should look into when I get to the meeting...If I ever do get to the meeting that is she thought to herslef.

"well I'll leave you alone"said bella walking away and turning out of the door to the library then putting one an invisibility spell mixed with a silencing spell to make sure she couldn't hear her foot steps. she walked back in and started following clafin.

Clafin stood up and put the book back away. She then went over to a different shelf and looked through the books, finally pulling one out. She looked down at it and opened it up to find neat handwriting reading "This book is Propety of the Half-BLood Prince" "Ahh, finally!" she put the old tattered potions book into her book bag and continued back up to the seventh floor.

bella saw her pull out the book and read over her shoulder then followed her up to the 7th floor

Clafin still felt uneasy after her encounter with Bella, but she continued to the Room of Requirment. She walked in to find that she was the first one there...or just really late. She sat down on a large pillow over by some bookcases and sat waiting for a while.

bella skipped into the door that magically appeared before it closed and stood on the opposite side of clafin so she didn't arise any suspicion.

Hmmm, is nobody coming to the DA meeting? she wondered to herself as she pulled a fake Galleon out of her pocket to see if she'd gotten the wrong time or date.

the door to te ROR appeared again and johny walked in through it "hello, I haven't seen you at these meetings before."he said then looked over to the other side and sensed bella standing there so quickly looked away.

Clafin looked up from the coin to see a boy walk in. "Neither have I to you." she replied. She hopped up and walked towards him. When only feet away, she stuck out her hand and grinned. "Im Clafin Potter!" she exclaimed.

"im johny lestrange, don't be fooled by the name I'm not like my mother or father"said johny honestly "but I do pretend to be like that to spy for the order"

"Yea, I think I just met your sister down in the library. Nice to meet you Johny!" she was so excited that she practically screamed the last part. She turned and walked back to the pillow and reached for her book bag. She started to pull out a map her uncle had given her to see if the others were on their way.

"oh you met my sister"johny said "will I'm sorry for any unpleasantries you may have suffered while in here presents" he said then bella stepped on johns foot invisibly.

Clafin looked up from her bag at Johny as he spoke. After he was done, he winced. Thinking nothing of it, Clafin turned back to her bag and pulled out the map. She turned her back to Johny and quietly whispered in hopes he wouldnt here, "I solemnly swear that Im up to no good." As ink started appearing, she saw that the map was a bit confused because it showed Bella in the room. She quickly put it away.

bella saw what clafin did and noticed her name she released her invisibility spell and pouted "darn, darn, darn, your stupid map revealed where I was"johny pulled out his wand in case clafin attacked bella, she may be evil but she is his sister.

Clafin looked up as Bella revealed herself. Johny pulled out his wand. "Oh please, you can put that thing away." she nodded towards Johny. She raised an eyebrow at him and then looked at his sister. "What are you doing here? And why did you follow me?" she asked impatiently.

"I was just interested in way you went to the ROR to charm cheese"bella lied giving a fake smile and a giggle.

"Well...er...umm. I was going to meet some friends here and one of them was going to help me with a question I had in potions today." she quickly covered for herself wondering if Johny had told her anything about the DA.

"really, but you said you never met my brother"bella said "she just met me today in potions"johny lied "ohh, will then Ill just leave"said bella walking towards the door but she hit the wall near the door with her wand placing a tiny magical camera on it. "opps"she said picking up her wand and walking out.

"Er, um...Thanks." Clafin said awkwardly to Johny as Bella walked out of the room. She then went and sat back down on the pillow
Seconds later Thomas walked in. "Who was the giggling girl?" he asked. Going to sit next to Clafin.

"my crazy sister"said johny sitting in front of the camera he knew was there

Clafin looked at Johny in a curious state. "Is she...Does she work for some bad people?" she asked as kindly as possible.

"its possible that she does"said johny knowing that she did work for bad people "we don't really see eye to eye on much but shes my sister, so I protect her, no matter what"

Clafin looked at John and remained silent.

Thomas looked up just now noticing the guy across the room, having being previously distracted by a poster on the wall who was mocking him. "Ello. Im Tom."

"johny lestrange"johny said always feeling awkward when he mentioned his last name.

Clafin twinged at the said of Johny saying his last name.

"Ay. You know the lady who killed Sirius?" Tom asked rather blunty.

"shes my mother, and just so you know the only black family member I respect is my uncle sirius"johny said
