Prying Eyes

Clafin walked through the Common Room portrait and headed towards the Grand staircase. She started walking down to the dungeons, but she stopped when she thought she heard something. Clafin spun around, looking for signs of someone. She couldnt have someone follow her again. Last time she had tried to bring someone to the meeting quickly turned into a disaster. I honestly doubt someone would be following you Clafin. Just calm down. As soon as your down in the dungeons you'll be fine. she tought to herself. She took another step, but heard a noise behind her. Well, just to be safe, I might as well try to lose them...if there's anybody actually there. she thought.

Clafin's face automatically darkened as Thomas mentioned Sirius. She'd only been 3 when he had died, but he had still been her best friend. Hearing Johny's reply, she looked at him for a moment. "Why's that?" she asked her voice sounding glum. She punched Thomas as hard as she could.

Thomas looked from Clafin to Johny uninterested in their conversation. He barely noticed Clafin hitting him as he pulled out a book from her bag.

"becouse he is the only black who didn't join the dark lord"said johny

Clafin studied his face for a moment trying to see if he was being honest.

Thomas turned to him as he through the book on the floor. "You won't trick her, if thats what your trying to do." he said as he tilted his head toward clafin.

"I'm not tricking anyone, I know my last name makes me untrustworthy but I'm being completely truthful"johny said honestly

Clafin remained silent as she picked up the book carefully.

"Loads of rubbish. Your just as good an actor as your sister, if you ask me." Thomas scoffed at Johny.

"I'm used to not being believed"johny said pulling a book out of his bag, reading it.

"Tom!" she scolded him, half scared to do so. " You dont need to be so rude. I didnt judge you when I found out youd been turned into a-" she cut herself off as he glared at her. She turned to Johny "Im so sorry about Mr. Weasley's rudeness" she told him as she flicked Tom on the arm.

"a weasly, I should think you of all people should know what its like to be judged by your name"johny said

Clafin remained silent but put her hand near Thomas just in case he got mad.

"Well, you sad excuse for a wizard," Thomas started as his temper rose. "I happen to be proud of being a Weasley. None of US have ever retreated to Voldemort in dark times." he was practically yelling now.

"I never said anything bad about your family I just implied that most of the wizarding world see you as homeless, unworthy, magically challenged, poor excuse for a pure-blood family"said johny feeling like his young sister

Clafin winced as she heard Johny's retort. Did you really have to say that? she thought to herself. She grabbed Tom's arm as he stood up being pulled up by his strength.

"Would you like to repeat that?" he hissed as he took a step towards Johny dragging Clafin behind him.

"certainly, I said you are a homeless, unworthy, magically challenged, poor excuse for a pure-blood and you seem to be death as will" johny said pulling out his wand and pointing it at toms chest

Clafin let go of Toms arm and pushed herself between the two putting her hands up to their chests. "Will you please stop?" she pleaded. "We're all here for the same reason!"

Tom ignored Clafin as he pushed her hand away. "Why you little.." he started

"give me a reason, Im nothing like my sister but I do have a wide knowledge of some of the darkest magics known to wizard kind"johny said before he could stop himself

"Hello! Five foot girl speaking here!" Clafin screamed as the two boys towering over her ignored her.

Tom looked down at Clafin and sighed.

johny put his wand away but not before touching the wall in the exact point the camera was "darn, thats no fair"bella said back in the slythurn common room as the camera was turned off.

"Thank you" Clafin sighed in relief as she looked over at Johny.

Thomas stayed where he was glaring at him.

"I'm sorry but he pushed me to far"said johny sitting down as he picked up his book and started reading it again.

"Quite alright. He seems to do that to a lot of people" she added as she glared at Tom. "Now then, should we get started? I was thinking we could cover some useful potions today. I had originally thought about the Draught of Living Death, but maybe you two would like to try the Calming Draft?" she said sarcastically as she walked over to a cupboard and pulled out Asphodel, Sopophorus Bean, Valerian Roots, and Wormwood.

"there is one potion I would love to try its a truth serum."said johny

Clafin looked up at Johny completely shocked. "Well, if your talking about Veritaserum, then you can forget it...Unless of course you promise not to actually use it." Clafin said unsure. "Seeing as how its usage is outlawed by the Ministry and all."


Tom looked at Johny in complete distaste and scowled. "Darkest magic my butt." he quietly murmured to himself as he walked over to Clafin.

I'm not going to use it I just want to have a chalange and it seems to be the hardest potion in this potion book.

"Well alright." she said as she put her ingredients on a table. She then returned to the cabinet and pulled out some Jobberknoll feathers and Acromantula venom.

johny pulled out his pot and his ingredients then pulled out his knife and cutting board.

Clafin followed Johny's lead.

Thomas stubbornly walked over and stood next to him as he dropped something into Johny's Cauldron.

Johny looked into his Cauldron and said "whats that"

"Nothin" Thomas quickly replied. He looked over at Clafin nervously, hoping she hadn't seen.

johny pulled the item out of his cauldron. and placed it in toms pocket while he wasn't looking

Clafin glanced up at the two boys, happy that they'd put their differences aside. "Well, you two can do that potion, but I was realllly looking forward to having a potion that I could have by tonight." she said quickly

Thomas felt something in his pocket moving but figured it was just his imagination. "I think I'll help you with that" He stepped on Johny's foot and walked to where Clafin was.

johny used the cunfundus charm on tom while no one was looking to make him trip and fall into calfins cauldron

Clafin looked at Tom in irritation as he knocked over everything she'd been working on. "Maybe I'll just go over there and read for today." she said as she pointed to the pillow she'd sat at before. She started walking away and then turned. "By the way Tom, this was in your pocket" she said as she tossed him a soggy dungbomb.

johny smirked a bit and said "I have a potions lessons early in the morning so I think ill turn in"said johny walking out of the ROR.

Clafin looked up wearily as Johny left the room. She looked back down to her book and nodded off.

Thomas waited a moment and then followed him pulling and Clafin's invisibility cloak.

johny walked out to a corner on the third floor and found bella "what where you doing in the ROR and whats with the camera"said johny "I was simply practicing for charms.

Thomas silently listened to the siblings talk. Camera? he though to himself in confusion

"cut the crap I've known you sense you where born,in fact that same day you acted like you where sleeping and stole the doctors wallet."johny said "OK I was getting information on the targets"bella said "those targets have names clafin and that weasly boy"said johny "OHH that weasly boy not refaring to him as his full name"bella said

Thomas grimaced as Johny mentioned him. Targets? Now this is getting interesting he thought to himself.

"go to bed"johny ordered "I have to report my findings to the dark lord"bella said skipping off "darnit she is such a pain"johny said then followed her with his wand out.

Dark Lord? Voldemort? he almost said aloud. He quickly pulled out his wand and followed.

johny heard foot steps behind him and without warning turned on the spot and scream "STUPIFY" freezing him thenn said "acioinvisibility cloak" bella jumped over and said ohh looky a little follower if it isn't the weasly boy"bella said dancing around him then pointing her wand at him and said "should I use an unforgivable curse on him"bella said laughingly "no, he'll be fine in the broom closet with this cloak over him"said johny who pushed him into filch's closet then kicked him in the ribs before placing the cloak over him.

Clafin awoke to see that both of the boys had left the room. She grabbed her bag and skipped out of the room and down the hall. She heard someone shout a dueling charm, so she whipped out her wand, but hid it behind her. She turned the corner to see Bella and Johny standing in front of a closet. "Hey there." she said musically as she skipped towards them.

Thomas lay in the closet invisible, not able to speak.

"hello clafin, I saw bella in this closet and I was just telling her to get to the common rooms"said johny "I was just trying to find my broom"said bella

Clafin looked at them curiously as she slyly put her wand away. "Oh, have either of you seen Thomas? He ran off and took something of mine with him." she pouted.

"i thought he was in the ROR with you"said johny as bella snuck away to the shrieking shack

"Well, I kinda dozed off." she admitted shyly.

"if I see him ill let you know, I think bella went back to the dorm Ill be going there as well so I can rest up"said johny before running off

Clafin was left standing there in the empty corridor. She started to walk off, but she heard a moan coming from the closet. She opened the door and saw nothing there. "Accio Invisibility Cloak" she said as she flicked her wand. She looked down to see Thomas.

"That good for nothing piece of.." he said as he stood up and ran the way he though the other two had.

bella stepped into the door as her brother left and saw clafin and thomas. "are you guys ganna fight"she asked

Clafin looked up in surprise to see Bella. "Er..No. Sorry to disappoint you." she said hesitantly.
