She walked casually up to Hermione, turning a page on her notebook as she went.

"Hey Hermione. Where and who were you with after dinner until Trelawney was found? I know you didn't like her very much, perhaps you could tell me how you feel about her death?"

Hermione softly puts her book down and shifts nervosly in her chair

"I was, um, well I was in the librarry until I heard the scream. There was...there was no one else there as it was, well it was out of hours, but I have this exam and I needed to check up on a few things..."

She fiddles with her hair and looks away

"I did not exactly hate her, she was, well, a fraud I suppose, but I am certainly not happy at what has happened to her, who would be?"

Ginny noted curiously that Hermione would not look at her.

"I see. Even Madam Pince was not here, Hermione? And, where were you after the scream?"

Aja appraoched Hermione and smiled sweetly. "Hello, Hermione! Im very sorry to bother you, but i wanted to ask you a couple of questions. i understand that you left off to the library after dinner. Did you by any chance see anyone else on your way there? any strange noises...things...people?" Aja took out her notepad and quill.

(Hermione blushed)

“I was there out of hours. I assumed that everyone was in bed, so I was completely alone, although I swear I heard something at one point, but I couldn’t see anyone. As I said I had some research for my exam that I needed to do. I heard the first scream which seemed to me like a house elf, and of course I went to see. I heard another scream later on, but I left it a while, before I heard running footsteps.”

(Hermione bit her lip)

“I couldn’t find the book I wanted, it had already been checked out, and as for strange noises, only the screams and a shuffling sound at one point, though it might have been my tiredness”

Ginny blinked as Hermione blushed, just like someone else did. She leaned in closer to Hermione and whispered.

"You weren't alone were you, Hermione? Was someone...Ron perhaps? With you?"

"Why on earth would she be with Ron... Sorry Gin but not all of us are Romione Shippers-- I mean Hermione What if I was told by a certain someone that you were in a fight with Said Ronald Weasley after dinner..? So my accusation dear hermione is that you were With Mr.Weasley and then you having been emotionally hurt came into the library only to find Draco Malfoy maybe? The point is Hermione you or Harry are lying and I doubt its him.. because he dose not shy away when I try to ask him questions, Where you or where you not in a fight with Ronald Bilius (sp?) Weasley

"I am just asking questions after I gather information, like you Jess. If Hermione wasn't, she wasn't. But I don't know that and you don't know that. Please keep your hostility out of this interrogation." she narrowed her eyes. "I did not get into a fight with Ron, whoever gave you that idea?"

"Hermione. Professor Snape said he had found a piece of paper at the crime scene. The letters on the paper spelt out "Her", in very neat writing. By chance do you have any information about this? You can be honest."

Etta pushed past Snape and stepped up to Hermione.

"Can i just check this small piece of paper aginst your notes? for elmination purposes obviously, also, are you and Ron now a couple? Or were you perhaps with Draco? THis whole love hate situtaion between you both is quite amusing but we must know the truth and you're a clever girl Miss Grnager, so just answer honestly and we can move on. Oh and at what time did you fix Harry's glasses?" Etta asked her final question knowning that she had no proof that Harry's glasses had been broken.

“The first noise? The scream? It was…high pitched, like a…a house elf…I hope that they were not hurting them”

(She frowned)

“The shuffling, maybe I dreamed it, but I really thought as though someone was in the room with me”

(She looked confused before frowning)

“No he wasn’t and I am glad…and yes we did have a fight…but excuse me for asking, what has that got to do with anything? No one was with me! I wish now that someone was to prove that I had nothing to do with Professor Trelawney…”

(She trailed off)

“A piece of paper? I haven’t lost any paper, all my notes are in my book”

(She points to her book on the table before turning to Snape)

“I was studying for three, Defense against the dark arts, Herbology and Arithmancy”

(The writing on the paper and Hermiones hand writing are close in neatness, but do not match)

“No, we are not a couple, not me and ron and certainly not me and malfoy”

(Hermione huffed)

“And what on earth are you talking about? Harry’s glasses were not broken as far as I know”

Yes I am quite sure they were not broken, and as for the argument...well I am fed up with Ron always wanting me to do his homework...he should have learnt by now...how does he think he is going to pass these exams?
