Artist of the Fortnight

Hey all! I'm condensing all of the Artist of the Fortnights into this thread. Here's how it's going to work. You may PM amberg93 answers to as many artists as you'd like for 20 points apiece. I'll keep track in this post of the people who have completed each artist. Have fun!

ARTIST OF THE FORTNIGHT #1: I was born on December 22, 1907. I appeared in many plays, film and television programmes, including "A Passage to India," "The Jewel in the Crown" and "The Duchess of Malfi." I was born in Croydon, United Kingdom. I am distantly related to a member on HE.

ARTIST OF THE FORTNIGHT #2: I was born on the April 26. I had three children: Susanna, Hamnet and Judith. I was born in the county of Warwickshire.

ARTIST OF THE FORTNIGHT #6: I was born in Atlanta on November 8, 1900. I died 49 years later in 1949 on the August 16. Only one of my novels was ever published but it was, and still is, a worldwide success. The novel was also made into a 1939 hit film starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.

ARTIST OF THE FORTNIGHT #7: I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. Since then I have moved to Northern California where I still lives to this day. I have written two novels - one of which is an international bestseller. My first novel was recently made into a motion picture.

ARTIST OF THE FORTNIGHT #10: I was born on July 14, 1862, near Vienna, and died fifty-five years later. I was a symbolist painter and a leader in the Vienna Secession. One of my most noted pieces is entitled "The Kiss."
