FINAL DUEL (waterlily, fated4HP and Just ginny)

::Ginny pushed open the large mahogany door that led back to the original dueling chambers. She smiled slightly as she remembered the battles, the spells, the hexes, and the memories. Of course, the red head also remembered the times she’d gotten hit, and she winced slightly at those particular memories. Her brown eyes flicked quickly down to her charm bracelet-as if to see it was still there. Yep, two fire and two ice. Just enough for Fated and WL. A slight smile spread across her face as she realized that this was a war between the family.::

“It looks as though I’m the first one here.” ::She noted quietly.:: “Well, I better make the best of this if I’m going to show who’s coming out on top in this family-free-for-all.” ::Since she knew that this duel would be as much physical as magical, Ginny stretched her neck, arms, legs, and back. When she was done she breathed in slowly, to calm herself down. But she didn’t fully calm herself down, no. She’d need the nerves. The nerves kept her on edge. Finally, she gently flicked her wand and held out her hand and whispered a spell::

“Cristaux de Quartz” ::A faint clear white glow appeared and as soon as it had faded away there was a small white quartz crystal in her hand. Gently, she set it down on the black granite floor. Then, straightening up, she repeated the spell, and was given a blue quartz for north, then white for south, then red for east, and finally, black for west. Ginny grinned and looked down at the five small rocks. She rolled up her Hufflepuff robes’ sleeves and took a deep breath.::

“Perfect. And now…formez le pentagramme.” ::The rocks almost lazily raised themselves up from the ground. But then in a burst of light and sparks, the spun around and around, until at last, they had formed the five tips of the pentagram, the white one at the top most part, and the others were aligned with their directions. Nearest to her was the blue stone for north, and using the very tip of her foot, she pulled the rock towards her.::

“Come here you little sucker…” ::Ginny said, kneeling down to pick it up, her red hair spilled into her face, obscuring her sight slightly. Her skirt rustled slightly, but, thinking it was WL or Fated entering the dueling area. When she shot up, however, no one was there, and she laughed at herself slightly. Just my nerves getting to me. Oh well, at least I’m alert. But, before she knelt down to get the rock again, she slipped a hair elastic off of her wrist and tied up her hair.::

“Okay, but just to be sure…invisibilité” ::She felt a cool breeze brush down on her, and looking down at her arm, she could tell that the spell had worked. She was now invisible. Feeling a bit more confident, she got down and sat cross-legged, with the stone in front of her. When her first opponent entered, and stepped into the incomplete pentagram, she would move the rock back into place and they would be trapped. No magic in, no magic out, no moving the rocks, unless they wanted to get seriously zapped. However, Ginny was soon bored and put her hand on her head and shrugged, deciding that she might as well lay the trap a bit more. She pointed her wand at the top of the door-which she had left partially open::

“Seau d'eau” ::A bucket of water materialized at the top-poised to fall on the first person to open the door. To assure that the unfortunate first person to enter the room fell into her crystal trap, she drew a slash towards the floor leading up to her trap::

“Étage glissant,” ::Ginny grinned as she saw a slick path of liquid formed. She leaned back on her hands and chuckled to herself. This duel was going to be quite interesting-and wet, judging from all the water she had laid out. This was what she loved about going first-there was nothing to have to counter, but you could easily put things into place that you couldn’t do if someone else had gotten there first. There were no distractions, either. And the duel was starting according to her terms, she grinned and surveyed the area.::

“Well, let’s see how this works out. Oh, wait, mustn't forget. Déclenchez le quartz" ::Using her wand, she tapped the floor that was being surrounded by the crystals, and then the out of place crystal itself. In turn, each glowed a bright white. She had done this so-just in case her reflexes weren't fast enough- that as soon as someone stepped inside the crystal cage area, the remaining crystal would zoom into place-thus trapping them.::

((Translations were all in French, and meant, in order: Quartz Crystal, Form the pentagram, Invisibility, Bucket of Water, Slippery Floor and Trigger the Quartz. The Quartz Crystal cage idea I got from the TV series Charmed))

~He stopped at the entrance to the dueling area, his blue eyes narrowed in suspicion before he touched the door. He drew back studying it. He knew his other two opponents were behind that door. His blue eyes studied the door and then he reached into his robes and pulled out a small silver vial, he drank its contents then crushed the vial in his hand and tossed the pieces to the floor. He reached into his other robes in the opposite pocket and pulled our a vial containing a red substance. Blood. But not just any blood. Dragon's blood. He grimaced and cringed as he opened it. He wrinkled his nose but then took a few deep breaths and tilted his head back, pouring the blood into his mouth. He coughed as he swallowed the thick rich liquid. He knew the contents of both the vials he'd taken, would come in handy.~

~He smirked and then slowly slid his wand out of his robe, holding the perfectly crafted yew wand that contained 3 intertwined dragon heartstrings in his hand.~

~He pointed the tip of the wand at himself~
"Atrum Tutela" (Dark Protection)

He waved it around in a circle in front of himself, creating a shadowy Silver inverted Pentagram, with four elemental balls of light for each point however the final point was shrowded by a thick black shadowy orb. ~
He stepped into the center of it and immediately the wind began to shift and pick up as the pentagram was absorbed into his body~

~Feeling his body intensifying of power he laughed coldly. But he wasn't finished, No, when facing two sneaky females he was going to have to be on his guard and he wouldn't go easy on them~

"Everto Offensus!"(Demon shock) so that anyone or anything that touched him would suffer painful electric shocks that could be potentially deadly.

He then slowly reached for the door handle but stopped suddenly. He smirked looking at it. He knew that since there was atleast one of his opponents in there, they'd be ready to attack him as soon as he opened that door. And realizing this, he stepped back from it. ~ He turned and quietly walked several paces down to about midway~

~Then he stopped and pointing his wand at the thick stoned wall he shouted "Minotaur To penetrate!!!!!!!!!!!" (Minotaur Punch)

~The head of a minotaur rose out of his wand and one of its hands did as well. Fated smirked as the minotaur's hand curled into a dangerously tight fist and it roared as it drew the fist back and sent it forward fast slamming to the wall, shattering the stone with its powerful impact~

~Fated turned his head away and shielded his eyes with the back of his hand~
Then after a moment of letting the dust settle, he slowly turned his head to see a huge gaping hole in the wall and laughed to himself. With a cocky strut, he walked into the arena and smirked seeing what looked like an empty arena. He was certain that someone was there and sure that they would have been caught off guard by his explosive witty entrance. But as soon as he stepped in, he got an uneasy feeling. He quickly pointed his wand at himself. "Diabolus Pennae!!" (Devilish wings) large wings burst from his back and he flew up about fifteen feet above the floor. He chuckled. "Well, I think since I'm the only one that appears to be here, I'm going to make sure that this playing field is a good one." He sneered pointed his wand down at the floor below.
"Palpito of orbis terrarum!" (Tremble of the earth) He shouted.
~The ground began shaking violently and he smirked with a malicious gleam in his eyes, watching the floor split open and begin crumbling. "I pity my opponents hahaha!"
~He still felt the slight taste of the two contents he'd drank from the vials earlier and though their mixtures did cause some discomfort within him, he was sure that they would come in handy when the time was right~

::WL prowled through the corridors, making her way to the Duelling Chamber. She could never be sure what would happen to her while she was duelling, so as she made her way through the labyrinth that was Hogwarts, she started creating the spells that would protect her for the duration.

Waving her wand in an intricate movement, twisting her wrist in countless and extremely painful manoeuvres, WL used one of her very own charms to throw her fellow duellists off track. A silvery glow enveloped WL as she chanted the sacred words that she had found in an old Egyptian Hieroglyph tablet. The Egyptians were some of the masters of magic and their spells were among the most dangerous and gore filled. WL had sworn never to attempt Dark Magic, and using this particular charm, passed down now by word of mouth, since the tablet had burnt to ashes once read, WL was walking the fine knife edge between Light and Dark. WL used her wand to conjure the hieroglyphs around her, protecting her against dark magic and giving her godly strength and powers known only to the Goddess Isis.

Having completed the charm, WL took a swig of a potion created to boost her magical energy, mixed with a peculiar potion called Lucozade that upped her brainpower and re-hydrated her.

Pausing outside the room, WL saw that she had to use her environment to her advantage. Flicking on the magic in her glasses, she used them to look around corners and detect the life forces of her opponents inside the room. She could feel Ginny waiting patiently, or not so patiently for a person to step inside her pentagram of doom. Jesse was flying on a dragon, so as not to step on the floor and to have a height advantage. Both had used pentagrams to their advantage, and WL knew of the power behind them, seeing as she had recently had a golden five-pointed star engraved into her skin on her abdomen, symbolising womanly power and strength of the Goddess in Wiccan religion.

Wand at the ready, WL stepped in, freezing the water bucket above her head just as it tipped and effortlessly sidestepping the pentagram of doom on the floor. Spying Ginny nearby, WL went into instant attacking mode, using a Muggle method of Martial arts to move Ginny into her own trap.

No messing around this time. WL ducked swiftly as Jessethedragon swooped down at her.

She spun around and put up her wall of Occlumency against the powers of Jessethedragon. Aiming carefully, she cried, “Conjunctivo!” and let out two sparks that permanently blinded the dragon, forcing Jesse to use a different method of travel.

With Ginny safely trapped for some indeterminable time, WL watched as Jesse tried to undo his transfiguration and get back his eyesight. Stunning him and capturing Ginny in a cage of ice, WL steadied herself as the ground stopped shaking and melted into the shadows, using the powers of Isis. She didn’t rightly know what the two were going to retaliate with and she had to make sure that she was prepared to take any attack.

She took another swig of her energy potion; her second last dose and hovered around the room, making sure to remain in her mist and keeping her body facing the two opponents at all times.

WL raised her wand and summoned her mithril armour before either was revived. She would need it. It would make most harmful spells glance off, and it was such a unique coat of armour that it could never be destroyed. It matched her mist, too so her camouflage would last longer, especially with the non-reflecting charm on the mithril.::

(Sorry I made you wait, but I was at Work Experience, and they don't believe in proper lunch breaks...or letting people off early...i figure that i never want to grow up...school is actually more fun!)

::Ginny groaned as she was trapped in the dratted ice cage with the earth shaking. Stupid, I’ve underestimated by opponents, one of the worst thing you can do while in a duel! I can’t believe myself, and I call myself a great dueler. Ugh, now I have to get out of here… This ice is pretty thick, I suppose I’ll have to melt it. She took out her wand and aimed it at the ice directly in front of her::

“Acido, (acid in Italian)” ::the red head murmured. Instantly, a stream of greenish acid flowed out of her wand and melted away all of the ice. Ginny was then able to step outside of that cage, but she was still trapped inside her own cage of light. Hmm, how can I get out of here? she thought to herself, pacing around the inside edges of her cage. Suddenly, she had an idea. Ginny rolled up her sleeves, and pointed her wand at the northern crystal, she took a deep breath and concentrated.::

“Spingere il cristallo assente,” (Push away the crystal in Italian) ::Slowly, the crystal began to get pushed away from its position, and within ten seconds, the cage had been disabled. Ginny stepped out of it, and pocketed the crystal she had just moved. The ground was still shaking, so she pointed her wand at the earth and shouted::

“Fare tacere i tremiti!” (silence the tremors in Italian) ::The earth stopped moving abruptly, and Ginny had to grip the wall to retain her balance. That taken care of, she then looked around and saw that Jesse was stunned on the ground, and WL had disappeared. She’s probably invisible; WL does enjoy invisibility spells and charms. And if I know her, it won’t be a simple one, so a counter-spell won’t work. But perhaps…yes, that could do. Now, what did Lily call it? Ah that’s right, now I remember…::

“Peorth…”:: Ginny murmured, drawing the rune in the air, leaving behind the symbol burning in the air like fire. Peorth was the rune for hidden things revealed, and it was a vertical line with two jagged lines pointing in and then out at the top and bottom. She had learned this rune from a friend of hers, Lily, the Professor of Ancient Runes. Runes were very powerful magickally, as they could often strengthen your magic, so, using one to locate the hiding WL seemed like the perfect solution.::

“Okay, perfect.” ::She knew it would eventually come in handy, and she was glad she had listened to Lily’s insistence on learning the runic alphabet and their uses in magic. The red head waved her wand again, and it floated above her head and zoomed to WL’s hiding place, shining its revealing light on her. Ginny smiled::

“Why, hello there. Colonna di acqua!” (Column of water in Italian) ::She waved her hand horizontally downward. Immediately, as if a fountain had been turned on over WL’s head, and kept flowing. The ground didn’t run with water, because it was as if some invisible drain was getting rid of the liquid. If WL tried to breathe in the water, the force with which it would flowing would force even more water down her throat, which risk WL drowning. However, if anything got extremely bad, Ginny knew the counter spell and several Medi-wizard spells to revive WL. Leaving WL in this watery prison-for now, Ginny turned to the stunned Fated. She walked over to him and whispered.::

“Ennervate,” ::As soon as he woke up, Ginny knelt down over him so that their faces were almost two inches apart. Was she going to do what she had planned at their other duel? She opened her mouth, pointed her wand at her lips and whispered softly so that only she could hear::

“Alito di ghiaccio,” (Breath of ice) ::As if blowing him a kiss, the red head exhaled, her mouth puckered, and out of her mouth came a flurry of ice and snow, covering Fated in ice, freezing him in place. He now resembled an ice sculpture covered with several snowflakes. She got up and smirked, satisfied with leaving him there for now, and turned back over to WL, still encased in a column of rushing water. Ginny raised her wand and placed it on her temple::

“Collegamento di mente,” (mind link) ::She concentrated and willed her consciousness to partially leave her mind, and enter inside WL’s. Soon, she was in WL’s mind, and she could see many of the precautions WL had taken in order to prepare for the duel, as well as Quidditch moves, debate points, and what she had for breakfast that morning, and something about custard. Not focusing on any of that, she entered the part of WL’s mind that dealt with decision making. While in there, she would try to persuade WL to give up the duel::

“Hello, WL, what’s the point in continuing this duel? After all, you’re trapped, no way out. If you breathe in, the water could possibly drown you, but everybody’s got to breathe sometimes, so what are you going to do?”

~For a moment, he could have sword Ginny was going to kiss him but suddenly a rush of cold air flowed from her lips and blew across him. His skin tingled and suddenly he was over come with a sudden freezing feeling.~

~And then, his body went numb~

~He suddenly realized what had happened, for though he was frozen stiff; his brain was still working and he could see that Ginny had walked over towards WL. Then he inwardly seemed pleased. And then he felt his insides warming up.

The ice around his body slowly began to melt; slowly turning to drops of water and then evaporated~
~He slowly shook off the numb effects of Ginny's spell and then turned to see the red headed girl~

~He smirked and pointed his wand at the floor behind her. "Fleischfressender Betrieb!" (Carnivorous plant) The ground split open and out came a large speckled plant with massive teeth. It's large vined leaves dripped of dangerous toxins burning the surrounding ground around it.~

~He then tapped his wand across his body~
"Säurehaltige Immunität" creating acid immunity to himself incase the plant's toxins got on him~

~He then waved his wand and created a school of electric eels in the water around WL~

"That should keep you both busy." he said proudly~

::Ginny spun around and saw the plant dripping acid in front of her. She swallowed. Oh dear…this could be very not good on many many levels. The red head mused to herself. Well, no sense in running about unprotected, hm?::

“De huid van de draakhuid Draak huid,” (Dragon hide skin) ::She could feel her skin strengthening and toughening.::

“Okay, now I need some sort of distraction…oh I know! Stervormige projectie!” (astral projection)::She concentrated on a spot in the room on the other side of the plant. Slowly, she could feel her breathing fall out of sync, as though there were too of her. Then, although she felt extremely grounded, another part of her was extremely light feeling, as if floating away. The grounded part of her-the part that held her wand-went limp, and the part of her that was floating-or so, it seemed to her-came up on the other side of the plant. Floating-Ginny smiled to herself and looked up at the plant. She took a deep breath called out as loudly as she possibly could::

“Hey, tall, green and gooey, over here!” ::The plant-surprisingly-swung its head? over at her, spraying acid along the walls. She coughed slightly as the walls smoked where they had come into contact with the green gunk. The plant leaned over her, and shook its head, spraying acid all over her. But, miraculously, it passed right through her. Floating-Ginny focused on becoming grounded once more, and she faded out to a yellowish glow and vanished. Grounded-Ginny felt something settle in her, and began to regain some consciousness. She shook her head twice and saw that her plan had worked. The plant was now frantically trying to figure out where she had gone, now was her chance. The red head raised her wand and pointed it right at the stem of where the plant had grown.::

“Dood door brand! (Death by fire)” ::Instantaneously, flames erupted at the base of the plant’s stem. The flames were white and burnt away the stem. Then, another tendril of flame appeared at where the plants head would be, the two fires raced to the center, and when they connected, there was a slight explosion, and a flash of light. When the dust had cleared, there was nothing more of the plant but a pile of ash and bits of leaves that were fluttering down to the ground.::

“Now if only most weeds were easily gotten rid of that way,” ::Ginny mused to herself with a small smile. She turned to Jesse, and out of the corner of her eye saw the eels in WL’s watery cage.::

“Now there’s an idea,” ::She directed her gaze at her non-soggy opponent and continued. “It was a nice touch you added, those eels. But I feel bad that WL is going to get electrocuted. So, perhaps I should do her a favor by showing you what it’s like. Elektriciteit! (Electricity) ::a bolt of blue shot out of her wand and hit Jesse squarely in the chest. Ginny took a step forward and looked at him::

“That look like it stung a bit, I’ll apologize after I win this duel. But first…” ::The red head reached out and placed both hands on either side of Jesse’s head. Since she couldn’t use her wand, she had to focus on wandless magic. So, she concentrated on the spell she wanted to perform. Elektrische meningsontploffing (Electric mind blast) A bolt of similar energy went zapping through Jesse’s mind, bent on destroying many of his brain cells. Feeling her hands grow warm and knowing that the electricity might jump up through her arms into her own brain, Ginny broke the connection, panting fiercely.

“That should-take care of-you for a while,” ::she gasped out.:: “But just in case, ring van brand,” (Ring of fire) ::Flames shot up around him, acting like a scorching gate from him and the rest of the dueling area.::

“Better get out of there quick before you run out of oxygen, just like WL did,” ::she advised him. Ginny then turned her wand on herself and murmured::

“Vlieg,” (flight) ::She raised up from the ground and flew to the ceiling. Once there, she drew a circle around her and said::

“Sluier van duisternis,” (shroud of darkness) ::Her form then melted into blackness, and WL and Jesse were trapped in their own elemental cages, each bound to be fighting for every last breath.::

(All translations were in Dutch. The mind shock thing I also got from Charmed...hehe I love that show :D)

Painful electrical shocks coursed through his veins but Fated wasn't about to give up. However before he could even retaliate, he was suddenly surrounded by fire.
"So...that's how it is.." He said with a cocky laugh. "Aguamenti!" He sprayed water upon the flames but though dousing them was difficult he still had to deal with the searing pain in his head from the electricity.~

He then waved his wand around and around creating a strong wind current that began to form into a twister; sucking up the fire and sending most of it out of his way. ~

~Looking around he saw that Ginny had disappeared.~

~He looked seeing WL still in her cage and decided since she was out of the way, he'd focus on ginny. He pointed his wand at the ceiling. "Glacilius Stallictus" creating huge frozen stalactites and then caused them to fall nearly all over the arena.~

~Fated stepped back and then pointed his wand directly at her. "Lepus Transmuto!" a spell that was to change her into a small rabbit. And just to follow up he cast ''demonic avis'' (demon birds) to fly and viciously attack Ginny~
