What are you reading at the moment? I am reading a series of unfortunate events at the moment which is quite good!

I'm reading Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
and I'm working on a first called "Gossip Girls"

i finished sense and sensibility and am starting Emma

I just finished reading A Tramway named Desire and The Seagull, and now I have to read Waiting for Godot lol

Emma's a great book, you'll enjoy it

I never read Emma though I wanted to at one time lol. Along with Pride and Prejudice and Mansfield Park. I've read Sense and Sensibility several times though ^^ Love it.

I have to read Rebecca from Daphne du Maurier in english at school lol so yay I have an excuse to buy it in english when I already have it in french ^^

Currently at the moment I'm reading the Diana Gabaldon Outlanders series cause of Flisan...lol currently in the middle of the second book in 3 days! I think it's pretty good, skimmed a bit on all the history so I'm a little confused but will probably reread it when I'm done...

I finshed the two i said I was reading..

So now im working on the fourth book of child called it
and then Jane A.- Emma (hear it's good)
oh yea and a book called Finally as well...

Right now I'm not reading anything...just re-reading stuff...it's boring

Just finished Sold by Patricia McCormick, which was very sad, but excellent, and Life is Funny by E.R. Frank.

I am reading the Shining by Stepen King. The book is way better than the movies. I love the horror stuff.

Okay, just finished Sunshine by Robin McKinley which was GOOD, and Specials by Scott Westerfeld, which was SO SO GOOD.

I LOVED the ending of Specials. Especially the punchline. Wow. That guy is seriously talented. XD

I've just started reading a book called "Don't Ever Tell" by Kathy O'Beirne. It's an autobiographical book about the life of the author, and the cruel, harsh suffereing she endured at the hands of her Father and the nuns of the Magdalen schools and laundries in Ireland in the 1970's.

I've only got about 100 pages in but already it's horrible to read about. And knowing that it's a true story, that it actually happened to this girl, this woman is just...mind boggling. To think that these places were open in such modern times, and girls could be sent there for simply smiling at a boy (which encouraged 'impure thoughts') is just...

I've not finished it yet but so far it's really good. Just really sad to think of the hundreds and hundreds of women damaged by those places.

Right now I'm not reading anything XD lol I had enough reading to do for the last 8 weeks and now I'm blah even though I love reading. Besides I'm getting a weeny teensy bit tired of always reading the same books over and over again so yeah... I'm getting some new ones at Christmas though lol so I'll get back to reading then probably, and hopefully I won't get as many books to read as I did last semester in school...

Okay. Books under my bed right now that I borrowed from the library and liked: Sister to the Wolf, by Maxine Trottier. Alpha dog, by Jennifer Ziegler. The Naming, by Alison Croggon (this one is a quartet! Yessss!). The Warrior Heir, by Cinda Williams Chima.

And the one I just finished now, which was of course incredibly well-written, and also very sad, The Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin.

okay I never did finish girl in blue it's under my bed somewhere....or maybe it's in my closet *shudders* it can stay there...

ohh that's an awesome series becca.

so I read in the last day and night 4 books...this is why I hardly ever buy books. I would be broke. Cause I can go through 20 books in as many days. Well anyway:

2 more of Meg Cabot's work--it was just what I expected, enjoyed them very much.

13 Little Blue Envelopes--now this one was a shocker. I hated the cover--still do actually. I know you're not supposed to judge books by their covers and all that, but this kind of cover gives off a 'trying too hard' vibe. Like 'please buy me cause there's a girl in low-riding jeans on my cover.' I usually avoid such books just for the principle of the thing. But after I kept seeing it all over and read a good review about it, I decided to give it a try, and was pleasantly surprised, because that book is quite frankly mad.

It is unbelievable but excellent and very very good. You can tell by little details that the author throws in that she has really been to all those places or at least knows them very well...(example: in Britain when the train doors open a clipped British voice warns you to 'mind the gap.' lmao. I know this is true only because I was in Britain.)...and she writes about them very well. I still don't like the cover though. It looks NOTHING like the main character would look like. Thank Merlin.

I am the Messenger--Now I LOVED the cover on this book. and I loved the book too. It was funny sometimes, sad sometimes and incredibly real throughout. Then the author drops the bomb...lmaooo...the ending would be corny if it weren't so insanely right. Or rightly insane. ^^

I was reading The Kite Runner, it's SUCH a good book, but it's really sad! (and some parts slightly disturbing) but aliza I love you for lending it me!

I'm about to start Uglies...I have a long list of books to read.

I'm reading Twilight again lol

*pouts* I wanted to read Twilight but nooo my bookstore doesn't have it. Oh well, hehe I'm reading...well I finished this morning but I was reading Julie Garwood's new novel Shadow Dance *sigh* very cute sounding guys in "there" :D

It was so good that I couldn't read anything else after, I had to reread it. Yeah, that doesn't happen too often anymore.

I've just read "13 Little Blue Envelopes" after reading your rec a few posts back streams. I thought it was very good, although the ending left me feeling a little unsatisfied. I would have liked to know what was in Peg's last letter.

That was true...although there were two very glaring inconsistencies to me (as an English person). The first is when she's reading the letter on the plane - Peg tells her that there's a ten pound note in the envelope "it's the purple thing with the picture of the queen on" - wrong. The purple notes are £20, ten pound notes are the orange ones. The second thing is the PIN number for the debit card - the pin is supposedly PANTS, but it's impossible to have a five-figured PIN number, they're four figures max. So those two little things annoyed me, but I enjoyed the book overall.

I'm now reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, and I'm enjoying that so far, and I'll be reading the next 2 afterwards!

I'm reading twilight (i'm sure you've heard amy obsessing over it, and with good reason)

it's great so far. I'maddicted XD

I'm currently at "A farewell to Arms" by Hemingway. I found it boring at the begining, then it got ok (mainly because the action moved from the front of the first world war to a hospital in a city XD) and now the main character is returning to front. And that's where I stopped reading for a while. I should get back to it, but I don't really like war-books. The only hope I have is that the war-scenes will soon be over cuz *points to title* farewell to arms... I hope so!

I just finished "Pretties" and I'm waiting for "Specials" to be delivered (hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow!)

I didn't like the end of Pretties I didn't want what happened to happen...but Streams told me that I would like the end of Specials...so we'll see

yeah, the ending of pretties is sorta sad...and specials is really sad too, at times...but trust me on this one, the ending is SUPERB.

Oh by the way, I saw you said earlier that you read the princess diaries...did you read any of Meg Cabot's other books? She has several adult series out as well as many other teenage series...because the PD's are my least favorite series of all her books, and she's one of my favorite authors XD

Hehee I spent this weekend rereading Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot and a sad story about Cystic Fibrosis. Two opposite ends of the spectrum, but ah well. ^^

Right now I'm reading A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. Only got around to reading the first chapter last night, as I was so tired, but it's intrigued me.

Right now I'm reading Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan. I'm only on chapter 6 though cause I forgot the book at school

Now I started "My name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk. I'm only at chapter 4 at the moment, but I'm really enjoying it up to now, especially because of the oririental atmosphere - Istanbul - middle ages?? don't know the exact period, but anyway, long time ago.. - and the way it's written - each chapter form another person's perspective. Love it!

We just finished The Kite Runner, in english class. Or rather they are still reading it, i took the book home over the weekend and finished it XD
