Bad news for those who are looking forward to a good grudge match in the Order of the Phoenix film next summer! We've been informed that there is no storyline in the movie surrounding Ron's Quidditch hardships, nor has there been any filming on broomsticks done by Rupert. We're led to believe that this means there will be no Quidditch in the fifth film at all. We hope to learn more soon!

i think i read that there isnt going to be any quidditch shown at all

yup, no quiddich no weasley is our king, no Draco getting the bashing he so desperatly needs.

When I heard about this it made me sooooo sad! I really wanted to burst out in sone opening night and annoy the heck out of some people and have others join me! *cries*

The Weasley is Our King scenes in the book have to be my favorite in OotP. I'm really gonna miss it!

I love the Weasley is our king bit!! And Luna's roaring hat!! They better put in the 'He Got Off' war chant thing. I hate it when they cut stuff out from the book.

thats so wrong - why are they leaving that out?

Because they needed to cut out bits to bring the film into its "Two Hour Slot" which i think is rubbish considering we have films that have lasted 3 hours and more.

Far enopugh i can understand why they need to chop bits, but when its something which the fans love, the poeople who will be paying to see the film, well, you'd think they'd have more sense. This year im not going to waste my £7 and go see the film *shakes head* i'll just get my brother to make me a copy.

*runs around screaming*

Additionally, those of you who checked our site the other day will remember we reported there will be no Quidditch in Order of the Phoenix. The information (just for MuggleNet visitors) had come from this interview with Rupert, where he states there won't be any broom time "at all" in OOTP. He also says he was "looking forward" to filming the Weasley is our King storyline, which "may be" in the sixth film.

well ... we'll have Weasley is our King .... in one of the fils at least.

so weasley king bit is in? I was going to say how could they leave it out - it leads to rons moment of glory which i think is something they need to show

It better be in! Or..I'll..do something drastic! Like walk around in a Harry Potter towel on the streets on London in winter!!! ^.^

You know what I've just realized? No Quidditch in OotP means...NO HERMIONE KISSING RON ON THE CHEEK BEFORE HE GOES OUT TO HIS MATCH!!

WHAT?! This is a key Romione moment, and they're making it go bye bye! The Harmione shippers are behind this!!!

...I show them where they can put that storyline!!! >.< This just sucks!!!! They leave the best parts out, and i hate it!!! And poor Rupert, i think he was looking forward to fly on a broom! I can't believe they're doing this to all the Quidditch fans.. :(

What?! they can't take out quiddtich that's what I live for. Are they trying to kill me. Are they gonna take out Feliw Felices too? They can't have Felix if they don't have quiddtich.

I was looking forward to the movie, but the Weasley family is like now
an outcast in the movie! NO weasley is our king, no WEasley's Wizard

this is just plain mean! YOu should have everything in the story in the
movies! The people who make the movie should be ashamed! I also heard

rubbish...how can they do that.... well they cut off grawp as well cua that wehn they met him first during that match. hmmm. well well might as well do change it no weasley is our king..
rubbish oh well but it should be a good film... critic levels it as goblet of firemovie which was great.

the thing is how are they going to get around the bit about harry and hermione meeting grawp

that is just plain stupid cutting out everything.....just like with book 4 cutting out a whole task

sometimes i wonder why they even bother making these movies, yeah they are good, but they are just getting ridiculus....there is just so much awesome stuff being cut

No Quidditch so unfair I love Weasly is our king it's like one of the best parts in the book!!!

They are so stupid what would it take to do them properly yeah they have to cut it but like in the 4th one they took ages on the dragon chance which didn't even happen and then cut things out. pfft what up with that!

i was so ticked!!! it is the best part of the whole book...especially when they go after Malfoy but that wasn't even there. it was so frustrating. GRRR!
