1ST QUIDDITCH MATCH: SATURDAY 9TH-GRYFFINDOR V HUFFLEPUFF

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta stepped out onto the picth and waved as she swung her leg over the cool wood of of her firebolt, a gift from her adoring now free husband.

With great ease she kicked off into the air and did a summersault before flying over the crowds and waving. She flew past the judges box and threw them all lollipops before flying past the commentater and waving happily.

Since she was first on the pitch Etta showed off her house pride by revealing what was under her quiddich robes, the famous badger suit from last term, with a big grin Etta did a handstand in mid air before settling down, getting ready for the game to begin.:

::Erin made her way onto the pitch, broom in one hand and bat in the other. She spotted Etta almost immediately. Never mind the fact that Etta was, of course, the first one there, but the badger suit would have stood out easily amongst a crowd anyway. Erin smiled and shook her head as she mounted her broom and flew up to where Etta was flying.

"You just couldn't resist, could you?" she asked.::

(Hufflepuff beater, ready to rock your sock!)

:Marie ran excitedly on the Quidditch pitch, holding her broom tightly in one hand, her bat in the other. Wearing her Badger Pin over her uniform, she jumped on her broom and quicked the ground hard, sending her flying in the air. She went around of the pitch a few times, having missed the sensation of the wind blowing in her face, and then she went toward her two team members:

"Girls, I think this game is ours! And the next one! And the one after that! And the other one after that. And the next one... and the others..." she said, counting the games on her fingers.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta grinned as Erin and Arie joned her in the air.

"We are the mighty Badgers, the Badgers without fear," she said happily motivating her team mates. "And now we need soe balls! Remember the tactics, lets keep our Chasers safe, support the keeper and hit the other team."

:Etta waved her Badger Paws in the air and attempted to shake hands with the others. "Lets do Hufflepuff proud!"

(Hufflepuff beater)

"That we will!" she said happily.

Then she took a look around.

"If other people show up, of course... Oh well, we can play with this while waiting for them," she said, producing a flat beach ball from underneath her uniform. "Er... oops... I knew I shouldn't have put it there.."

OOC: I am trying this for the first time on another board, I hope my RP is right.

Wendy (Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

:: As she follows the Hufflepuff quidditch team captain lead. She mounts her broom and finds herself up on the air within minutes. Wendy have not play for quidditch teams for quite some time ::

"Hey guys, my name is Wendy, I am not sure whether any of you know me very well. I just joined as a reserve chaser and hope to help the team to win."

:Etta laughed at Marie.:

"We should just release the balls now," she shouted and smiled as the balls were launched into the air. "We cant just sit and wait for the other team, they might take days! Come on Huffies let have some fun!"

Etta watched the snitch race up into the sky and vanish from sight. she waited and then, as the familiar buzzing came closer she lunged out, missing a bumblebee.:

:Marie smiled at Wendy:

"Hey, welcome on the team!" she said happily "Hope you'll have fuuuaaargh!" she shouted as she avoided a bludger that had been coming straight to her.

She grabbed her bat and threw the bludger away before gasping.

"So, where were we?"

:Etta glanced backwards and waved a badgered paw to Wendy and then pointed at the quaffle which was plummeting down to eart.:

"I think tahts yours!" she shouted before zooming towards the Hufflepuff stands chasing something which was glittering int he sunlight.

"Hey both of you must be Etta and Marie"

:: Wendy could recognize who they are by their name tags on the quidditch robes. As Etta released the quaffle, they have decided to have some fun while they wait for the Gryffindor team which she wonders where they are.::

"Okay I will go practice with the quaffle first, I wonder where are those Gryffindors. It is pretty unusual that they are late."

:: Wendy caught the quaffle after a 10 miles chase, looking for her fellow chasers to practice on. ::

:Etta almost fell off her broo as she saw Wendy go off to practise.:

"Nooo!!!!" she cried, giving up on the search for the snitch and zooing after Wendy. "No time for OPractise, we have an open feild, SCORE some GOALs!!!!!!"

:Etta watched happily as Wendy nodded and headed straight for the unprotected Gryffindor Goal posts.:

Wendy (Hufflepuff reserve chaser)

:: She saw no chasers, she was beginning to wonder what to do next when Etta have came over to her and told her to go straight to the goal post as it is unprotected. ::

"Okay Etta, I will go for the goal post, I will try to score some goals without missing."

:: Wendy with the help of her firebolt zoom past some bludgers and went straight to the goal post and threw the quaffle right in. ::

"Yay first goal, hold on a second why is a bludger going after me now. Marie help me or somebody."

:: She tries to zoom off as fast as she could to avoid the bludger. She still have the quaffle in her arms. ::

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

::Etta noticed the Bludger heading straight for Wendy and started to scream out to her.

"DO THE BLUDGER STAND!" she shouted and closed her eyes in case Wendy couldnt pull off the move.

(OOC: OMG! this is my first time, lets hope i do okay...)

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber flew around randomly not sure how well she'd do. It was her first time, but there really wasn't that much pressure. She was the first Gryffindor to arrive, and saw the Hufflepuffs had already started. A bludger headed towards her and she whacked it towards the Hufflepuff Chaser who had already scored.::

(Hufflepuff beater)

"I'm coming!" shouted Marie cheerfully. Nothing could bring her down today ^^

:She flew as fast as she could toward Wendy and, deciding there was no time to try a new move, simply threw it away toward Etta:

"Oooops sorry Ettie, try to avoid that!" she said, cringing. "Sorry..."

:Then she noticed the bludger Amber had just thrown at Wendy.:

"Oh of course, now I'm the bodyguard," she mumbled.

:She decided to do the Rotating Power beat, turning three times around herself before hitting the bludger, sending it so far away that she couldn't see it anymore.:

"Yay!" she cried happily.

(gryffindor chaser)

::Amy rushed onto the pitch, quickly hopping onto her broom and apologising to her team mates - she'd been at work all day and so hadn't been able to be there for the start of the match.::

::Amy flew past Angel so fast she caused the quaffle to fall from her hands. Whirling around on her broom she caught the ball and zoomed off to the goalposts, hoping she'd be able to score.::

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta squealed as she saw Marie whack the bludger towards her. She swung her legs up into the air and balanced on her broom using only her hands, finally the bludger was close enough, Etta pushed down with her arms and sprung herself into the air, releasing her broom just as the bludger slid through where her body used to be. Diving quickly with the jhelp of gravity Etta caught her broom and began bobbing up and down in the air.

"And that is the Bludger Stand," Etta laughed as she nodded to Wendy who was heading for the newly stolen Quaffle.

(Hufflepuff beater)

"Yay, way to go Ettie!" said Marie, laughing.

:Then she turned to Amy who was getting closer and closer to the Hufflepuff goal. Frowning, she looked around for a bludger and saw one which was coming toward her. Smiling, she grabbed her bat tightly and, aiming with precision, hit it hard and sent it flying toward Amy, where it hit the quaffle out of the her hands.:

"Woohoo!" she said, dancing in triumph as she was momentarelly forgetting she was on a broom.

(gryffindor chaser)

::The quaffle was hit out of Amy's hands by a bludger hit by Marie. Annoyed, she looked at her fellow professor and glared.

"Thanks Marie!" She said sarcastically, before flying as fast as she could after the falling quaffle, catching it moments before it would have hit the ground. With that, she whizzed off towards the goals and shot towards them. For a moment, she thought it would miss, but luckily it went through. A goal for Gryffindor!::

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta groaned when she saw Amy score. Now the two teams were equal on points, Etta knew the rest of her team needed to arrive and fast if they stood a chnce of winning.

Something flicked past Etta's eyes and she soared high into the sky chasing after what she hoped was the snitch.:

:Marie noticed that Etta seemed to be going after something.:

"You go girl!" she shouted at her

:She sighed as Amy goaled once, hoping the other Hufflepuff members would get on the pitch soon enough.:

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta lost sight of what she hoped had been the snitch and looked over at Marie who was sitting lazily on her broom.

"Mimi! Hit the other team!!!"

(Gryffindor Beater...I posted on the sign up sheet - is it ok for me to be here? - Anyhoo)

::WL got back into the game after spending far too long on holiday.

All at once as a bludger came to her, she swung her bat, and with her lightning fast reflexes and speed of thought...she took out Marie with one fell sweep of her broom.

Marie was currently holding her stomach and keeping in her breakfast as she fell victim to one of WLs famous Bludger Wheelies. WL winced at the sight...it must be painful...

Waving to Amber, they launched into the attack as the two beaters of Gryffindor!::

(Your cue Amber - initiate a plan and I shall follow)

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie quickly got back on her feet and grabbed her broom, jumping on it and going back into the air. She grabbed her bat firmly and glared at WL as the two bludgers came toward her. Smiling, she concentrated and hit them both, one after another, sending one toward WL and the other toward Amber. They both dove toward the ground to avoid it and Marie grinned:

"That the Bludger Double Whammy for you girls!" she said happily.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

::Etta glanced round and saw WaterLily fly onto pitch. She shook her head nd saw the first attack on Marie, she winced in support of her friend before spotting the snitch glittering above LilyFlower the commentaters head.

Etta pushed off hard on her broom and raced to the otehr end of the pitch, slammed straight into Lily and lost sight of the snitch.

"Ooops," Etta said quietly as she helped Lily back up, "Sorry, forgot to break."

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL giggled as the two bludgers came towards her. Ducking to avoid them, she winked at Amber and together, they knocked one bludger into the other with a Double and sent it soaring right back at Marie.

She wasn't going to get any slack from them in this match...

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie sighed as she sent the bludger away:

"Now this is getting a bit repetitive"

(Gryffindor Beater)

"Of course it is! It's Quidditch!...But I think that's what makes it more fun!"

::With that, WL turned her attention to the game and was fiercely calculating the exact angle at which she would have to hit the bludger and with what speed to prevent the quaffle from getting throught the hoops or anywhere near the keeper for that matter::

::Making wild gestures to Amber, WL was already speeding to intercept the bludger closest, waiting for the most opportune moment::

(i missed my cue XD and don't make me come up with the plays we'll all die XD)

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber laughed at Marie and WL's conversation. She headed for the further bludger and intercepted its path waiting for Wl to give the next signal.::

"Come on, Come on," she muttered.

(Gryffindor Beater...Ok - I'll come up with plays then)

"NOW!!!!!!!"

Both hit their respective bludgers at the same time and like clockwork, like all of their plays were and would be, this one was pulled off like clockwork.::

Even better! Because the quaffle was knocked into Duckie's hands and Gryffindor were in fighting position for yet another goal::

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie groaned as the quaffle fell into Amy's hand. Holding on to her broom with one hand and her bat with the other, she chased one of the bludgers and finally came near enough to it. Placing her bat underneath the bludger, she started bouncing it on her bat, making sure she was keeping it all the time.

She zoomed toward Amy, not sure if she would be able to make her move before the Gryffindor goaled. Putting all her strenght in her left arms, she hit the bludger hard and sent it flying toward the goal, where it hit Amy's arm, making her drop the quaffle as she was holding her arm in pain:

"Oops sorry Amy!" she shouted worriedly

(Hufflepuff Chaser) (sorry sorry no internet at home!)

::Jenn rushed out onto the field with a pained look of guilt on her face. She quickly hopped onto her broom and hurried into the game.::

"I'm so sorry I'm late everyone!!" she plead. "After the game I'll let Jesse and Raistlin crucio me as punishment!" Seeing the slow grin on the two Slytherins faces, she rolled her eyes and yelled at them. "I was joking!!"

::Catching sight of Amy dropping the quaffle, Jenn quickly did the Badger Roll and rolled in the air on her broom exactly underneath Amy to catch the fallen quaffle. Tucking it safely beneath her arm, she dodged a bludger and continued toward the Gryffindor goals.::

::Sadden that their Captain couldn't be the she decided to perform Ginny's trademark Crazy Badger kick. Tossing the quaffle into the air, she lifted herself into the air with her two arms holding the broomstick and directly kicked the ball into the middle hoop.::

"Yes!" Jenn cheered. "That makes up for me being late right?"

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::Erin winced as the bludger rammed into Amy's arm. That had to hurt. And she knew that Marie wasn't exactly the gentlest beater ever. On the other hand, though, at least they had managed to keep Gryffindor from scoring.

She swung at a bludger coming at her and hit it over toward more of the Gryffindor players.::

(Hufflepuff reserve Chaser)

::Streamers spends a moment admiring her new firebolt, courtesy of Etta, before she mounts it somewhat awkwardly. For a moment she looks back at the ground rapidly falling away, then whooshes over to her teammates.::

"Good shot, Jenn!" she says, high-fiving Jenn as she flies by.

::Then she does a lap around the stadium, looking to see who is in possession of the Quaffle.::

(Hmm hope that was okay, not exactly sure what I'm doing...)

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Bloody hell. Bloody hell. BLOODY HELL!!!" Drake rushed out onto the pitch, his uniform slightly askew from his quick dressing. "They're going to have my hide for this." He hrew his Firebolt out infront of him and lept onto it, taking off as fast as possible. He saw his team mates whizzing about and smirked. "LET's GET ONE FOR GRYFFINDOR!" He threw his fist up into the air. It was when he raised his hand he heard it...that dreadful sound of a Bludger. He looked over his shoulder and seeing the ball whizzing towards him his eyes widened. Thankfully, Drake was a quick thinker (sometimes) and jerked to his left, flipping upside down, the bludger whizzing past the airsapce his head once occupied. "Whew. Close one."

(Hufflepuff reserve Chaser)

::Streamers is distracted for a moment by yelling, and wonders what the fuss is all about. In this game, it seems to be fashionable to be late. And here streamers thought she would be the only one late. Anyway, squinting her eyes as she glances around the pitch, Streamers notices that NOBODY is in possession of the Quaffle. So she goes hurtling off after it, coming to a neat stop beneath it.

Quaffle tucked safely under her arm, Streamers suddenly hears the telltale whoosh of a bludger and is forced to quickly jerk her broom downwards to avoid it while imagining all sorts of morbid things like cracked skulls and crushed ribs...in the course of which her grip on the Quaffle loosens...and the scarlet ball falls from her hands.

She quickly grabs it back though, with an exquisite Badger grabbing maneuver (lol--couldn't think of anything), and soars off to see who has a clear shot to score...::

(still don't really know what I'm doing...lol)

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL sees that Streams has the quaffle and grins as Amber uses the bludger next to her to knock the ball out of Hufflepuff possession. WL intercepts the other bludger yet again, with Marie and Erin trying to mark her, annoyingly.

She dodged them both, and took the bludger up the pitch, ready to protect the Gryffindor Chaser Play as much as possible. As they came up to the goal, two broke away and one flew forward to take the shot. With a discreet movement, the chaser signalled to WL and both hit their respective balls at the keeper simultaneously.

This move was actually allowed as the chaser was in the scoring area but WL winced as the Huffie Keeper was pinned between saving the ball and being injured and out for a while and dodging the bludger and staying to protect the ball.

At the last moment, the keeper picked the greater good, and both balls went bumping through the hoop!

OOC: I just could not go to sleep for a while everyone seems to be posting so fast

"Streamers pass the quaffle to me, I will pass it to someone else later."

:: She was zooming near to Streamers with her firebolt. She was glad that she have asked her mum to buy her the firebolt which come in handy for her new position at the quidditch team. ::

"By the way my name is Wendy."

(Streamers your doing Perfectly!)

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta looked at Jennifer. "I'll be crucioing you later young lady! Whoohoo nice goal!"

"Ohhh looky, a gryffie seeker, well i never!" Etta laughed as she saw the Gryffindors Seeker run onto the pitch and mount his broom. She looked carefully. Their brooms were a match, but with a years experience under her belt, Etta didnt worry too much about the other seeker and kicked hard on her broom.

:Flying hard past the other seeker, she squealed in his ear, "BADGER BADGER BAGDER BLUDGER!" Etta swerved into a fast dive as a Bludger hit the left shoulder of the Gryffindor Seeker, thankful to have avoided the bludger Etta went to pull out f her dive only to spot the snitch at the last minute.

:Quickly performing the Badger Swing, Etta swung her broom to the left, her leg brushing the grass below as she chased after the snitch, thankful to be a lone and thankful that other Seeker was falling from his broom.:

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie rolled her eyes and sighed, going around the quidditch pitch franctically, looking for a bludger.Finally she saw the two of them and made a small sign to Erin, telling her to come closer, which she did. She whispered something in her ear, which made both girls grin, and then they both went in a different direction.

Flying in direction of the Hufflepuff goals, Marie nodded at Erin as both bludgers were coming toward them. Both girls extended their legs under their broom and kicked the bludgers toward the Gryffindor players.

Marie's bludger hit the quaffles out of the Gryffindor Chaser's hand, which made it fall in a Hufflepuff chaser, while Erin's bludger hit WL on the leg, making her wince with pain:

"Oww that gotta hurt.."

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber looked at both amy and WL, on one hand she was glad that wasn't her on the other, she was new so it would have been better if she got hit.::

"Perfect," She said as a bludger headed towards her.

::Amber took aim and hit the bludger towards the Hufflepuff who had just got the Quaffle. It hit her hand and she dropped the Quaffle, which now just fell free game to any one of the Chasers.::

(Hufflepuff reserve Chaser)

::Streamers, who had had the Quaffle, winced as a Bludger slammed into her hand and the Quaffle fell from her grip. Clutching her hand and clenching her teeth, Streamers kicked the ball upwards with her left leg and it fell neatly back into her arms.

Holding it with her uninjured right arm she flew directly towards the Gryffindor Chasers, then did a 180 degree turn and threw the Quaffle in Wendy's direction.::

"Nice to meet you, Wendy," said Streamers, soaring away. "Talk to you in the dressing rooms after the match."

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:: Etta raced after the snitch, she could still see its little yellow blurr as she sped closer and closer, higher and higher, suddenly the snitch turned and headed straight for the judges. Forgetting about the safety of herself and the judges Etta kicked hard, sending her broom zooming straight after the snitch, her broom vibrated under her as she came closer and closer to the stands, she whizzed straight past everyones heads and kept her chase firmly on the snitch.

"Sorry Elfie!" Etta shouted even though she was now just a blurred badger climbing high into the air.::

Wendy (Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

:: Wendy caught the quaffle as she was quite near to Streamers. She was quite determined to score another goal for Hufflepuff to make them in the lead which will be good. But she hope that the bludger will come her way, it will of course not be fun if there are nothing chasing after you. ::

"Okay Streamers, I will talk to you at the changing room after the match."

:: Wendy have the quaffle safely under her arm and she zooms towards the Gryffindor goal post without a person preventing her again. She aims the quaffle at one of the hoops and throw it hard and it goes through. ::

"Yes another goal for Hufflepuff cool."

"Woohoo! Go, Wendy!"

::Streamers is then forced to go into a steep dive to avoid a bludger heading her way followed by a Beater. A bit dizzy from her dive, she looks around to see who has the Quaffle.::

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Sunset hopped on her bloom and kicked off the ground heading for her postion in frount of the Hufflepuff goals.

Taking her place she scaned the field noting that the Qwaffle was down near the Gryffindor end of the pitch.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Chaser)

::Streams whooshes about the field, making a sharp left to avoid a bludger, keeping an eye on the Quaffle and waiting for the best chance to intercept it.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen hovered over Madam Hooch and waited for the quaffle to go back into play. Her fingers slightly tingling she held her breath and waited for the precise moment. As soon as the quaffle left Madam Hooch's fingertips, Jen snapped into action. Performing the Swift Huff, she swept the broomstick down in a quick movement and "swept" the quaffle through the air. Lightly tossing it upward with her broom's tail, she caught the quaffle with her left hand.::

::Keeping low on her broomstick, Jen ducked out of the way of a few bludgers and strained her eyes against the wind as she flew toward the Gryffindor goals.::

"Damn contacts," she muttered to herself. "They always get dry when I play Quidditch."

::Blinking rapidly, she took careful aim and threw the quaffle into the far left hoop. The quaffle swerved and hit the rim, bouncing back to Jen. She quickly twirled on her broomstick, hitting the quaffle straight into the far right hoop with her broom tail.::

"Yes!" Jen cheered.
