4TH QUIDDITCH MATCH: Hufflepuff V Ravenclaw: Oct 1st - 5th

Ilyria wandered onto the pitch, her mind all in a frenzy. She had actually been asked to help out ravenclaw in their quidditch match and she was so excited - she just hoped that it was going to be a great game.

Grabbing her broom, she lifted off from theground and circled the pitch to warm up whilst she awaited the other team and her team mates to show up

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie yawned as she walked on the Quidditch pitch. She had not slept well the night before and she knew her way of playing would probably be penalized by her sleepiness very much. Shrugging, she jumped on her broom and quicked the ground, hoping the fresh air would wake her up a little:

Ilyria waved to marie and wished her good luck. Although they were on seperate sides, she hoped that it would be a friendly game.

Ilyria had warmed up, so began practising her special moves hoping the game could start soon

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana walked onto the pitch, grinning up at the Ravenclaw stands. She mounted her broom and pushed off, lying flat and speeding through the air towards Ilyria. She came to a stop and sat up, grin still on her face. There was no doubt in her mind about the match, she knew that Ravenclaw would win.::

"Hey Ilyria, good to see you here," said Elana. "How are you feeling? I know at the beginning of my first match I was nervous. If you are, don't worry, you'll be fine. Herby and I are here to protect you," she said, holding up her Beaters bat and taking a swing. She laughed, so glad to be up in the air.::

(Sorry, guys, this will probably be the only post I'll be able to make this morning...I'm going to be on the move until about 6 this evening)

::Erin walked onto the pitch and glanced around for any fellow Puffs. She quickly spotted her fellow beater, Marie, so she jumped on her broom and flew up to meet her.

"You look tired," Erin said matter-of-factly when she was closer to Marie. "But are you ready to take these Ravenclaws?" She gave a wicked little grin.::

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie smiled at Erin.:

"I am tired, but even if I hadn't slept in a week I'd be ready for this," she said, grinning too

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny rushed out onto the pitch. It was Hufflepuff's second match of the season, but only her first. She had been away during the first one, and was now very determined to make sure Hufflepuff's season topped last year's.::

"Let's goooooooooooooo badgers! Let's beat these birdies!" ::she called out as she flew up into the air, the wind whipping her hair out of her face. She noticed that she was the only Chaser around for Hufflepuff, and sighed. When the team got there she'd actually make an attempt for the Quaffle, but now she'd just fly around and warm up::

:flisan ran out on the quidditch pitch, then she sat down, her broom next to her, and started streching. she had been very busy studying over the last few weeks and hadn't played quidditch in quite a while, so she wanted to prevent being hurt. when she was done, she jumped twice on the sopt, shaking her head and hands, before she hopped onto her broom and soared up to ginny, to warm up with her:

::She smiled when she saw Flissy shoot up next to her::

"Hey! Long time no see!" ::the red head said cheerfully. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the Quaffle being thrown up by Madame Hooch, so she leaned against her broom to prepare to fly after it. Before she did, she turned behind her and said::

"Fancy a Huffle Hammock?" ::to Flissy::

:"yeah, let's see if i still know our moves!" flisan agreed and promptly did a badger drop when a bludger was flying straight at her nose.

when she came back up her hair was ruffled and she angrily looked around for elana, who seemed to be laughing at her, although she was too far away for flisan to be sure.

"not nice" she grumbled and blinked quickly a few times to make the dizziness go away. then she saw ginny had caught the quaffle and was already on her way to the goal posts.

"wait for me!" she shouted and leaned deeply over her broomstick to catch up with her team captain.:

::The red head paused in front of the goal posts and turned and saw Flissy coming towards her at break neck speed. Ginny quickly moved to avoid a collision, and when they were both in position she and Flissy pulled back their hands-one of each which was on the Quaffle-and fired it at the far right goal.::

::Ginny watched as the red ball soared through the goal and the stands errupted in cheers::

::Lifey clamoured onto her broom and waved to her players who where here so far.::

::Seeing the quaffle being thrown in, Lifey was Johnny on the spot and whisked the quaffle from under hufflepuff's nose.::

::Racing towards the other end of the pitch, Lifey began to plan her play::

"Sorry Flissy!" Elana called, hands cupped around her mouth. She laughed from her perch, glad to have hit the Bludger well.::

"You'll be fine," she reassured Illy. "See you!"

::Elana soared in a wide circle around the Pitch, hair that had escaped the low ponytail whipping around her face. Her Mum was playing in this match, and Elana knew that she would have to again show no mercy towards one of her adoptive parents. She flew over to Ginny and came to a stop by her.::

"Hey Mum. This should be an interesting game," Elana said, smirking. "Let the best EAGLE win," she cried before flying off.::

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::Erin noticed that Lifey had stolen the quaffle somehow. Now, we just couldn't have that, now could we? She noticed a bludger soaring around her, so she mustered up her strength and hit it after Lifey.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Her keen brown eyes followed Elana away, but before chasing after her lovely daughter, Ginny saw that Lifey was being shot at by a bludger. Grinning, she flew stealthily underneath the Ravenclaw, ready to catch the Quaffle when it dropped after the bludger hit::

"Nice one Erin!" ::The badger called over her shoulder as she headed on the badger war path.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana heard the rush of an speeding Bludger and spun around to see one headed towards Lifey. Oh no she did not just do that! Elana thought furiously, spotting Eirbear out of the corner of her eye. She immediately soared through the air to Lifey, and got there just in time to hit the oncoming Bludger back towards Eirbear. Take that, she thought victoriously.::

"Hey Lifers," Elana said, turning on her broom to smile at one of Ravenclaw's co-captains.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Drat!" ::Ginny swore silently to herself as she spun around to face Erin.::

"DUCK BADGER GIRL!!!" ::she shouted:: "And don't you DARE say quack!" ::she smiled as she added the last sentence. Then, Ginny turned to Lifey::

"Allright, let's get straight to this..." ::she shot off after her and punched the Quaffle, sending it out from underneath Lifey's arm. Ginny dove after it and caught it, but she was so close to the ground that her knees skimmed the sand and she nearly lost balance and fell off her broom.::

"Ow!" ::She said as she struggled to get herself back up in the air::

(ravenclaw co captain and chaser)

::Lifey grinned at Lana::

"Thanks!"

::Ginny scraped her knee, and lifey took the opportunity to take back the quaffle::

::She yelled as she continued on her path. She tossed the quaffle with all her might through the center goal. Ten to Ravenclaw!:::


"YES!"

:she yelled, high fiving Laanna-ana-llama and Ily who where closest to her::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

"Nice one Lifey!" Elana cried after the high five. She did a short victory dance with Lifey and Illy, grinning. Ten points to Ravenclaw, she thought, grinning.::

::Elana gave a wild whoop and stuck her Beaters bat in the air.::

"Great way to start the game."

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen swooped out onto the pitch in time to see the Ravenclaws score the first goal. As she guilty smiled at Ginny, she smiled at the Ravenclaws.::

"Yes, that is a great way to start the game." she announced with a glint in her eye. "But it sure isn't how this game is going to end!"

::As Jen got into position , the quaffle was thrown into the air. Quickly Jen performed the Badger Snatch and snatched the quaffle from the Ravenclaws grasp and batted it in the opposite direction (toward the Hufflepuff goals) with the bottom of her broom.::

::Jen then flew toward the *opposite* end of the pitch and waited in position.::

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie sighed anxiously, waiting next to the Hufflepuff goal, and then she grinned when she noticed that both bludger and quaffle were coming toward her. She grabbed her bat firmly and evaluated the situation. Then, with a perfect aim, she hit the bludger roughly, which went flying in the opposite direction, colliding with the quaffle.:

"You go girl!" she shouted happily as she saw that the quaffle was flying toward Jenn

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen grinned as the quaffle came flying straight at her. Catching it with one hand, she twirled the broom around with the other hand and threw the quaffle into the center hoop.::

"Score! A goal for Hufflepuff," she joked, "with flair!"

(ravenclaw cocaptain and chaser)

::Lifey sighed...the would need to pull out all stops to win this, but they would win this nonetheless....nonetheless was such a strange word...three words jammed together......::

::Grabbing the quaffle and heading towards the hufflepuff keeper, Lifey waved to Lana as the beater rushed past after a bludger::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen kicked up her heels and urged her broomstick foward to catch up to Lifey. Ducking and flattening herself on the broomstick to avoid a close bludger (Badger Den), She took a ddep breath and attempted to do a move that was created by Etta. As everyone should know, anything that has to do with Etta was seriously dangerous indeed! Jen flew her broom in front of Lifey and swept her broom quickly to one side, performing the Badger Branded. This made the broomstick move so quickly in front of Lifey's face that it created smoke. Impairing Lifey's vision enough to loosen her grip on the quaffle as Jen stole it from under her.::

::Jen swung her broomstick around and headed back to the Ravenclaw pitches. Weaving around various goalposts, she suddenly made a 180 and flew in the reverse direction. Throwing the quaffle into the goal she just passed.::

"Another score!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::The Hufflepuff Captain had just made a daring escape from Madame Pomfrey, who was attempted to put some stuff on her scrape. And it STUNG! So, miraculously, Ginny pointed out a flying Crumple Horned Snorkack behind the Madame and flew off while she was looking for the beast::

"Hey Jenn! About time girlie we missed ya!" ::Ginny shouted out with a smile. She shot upwards and caught the Quaffle, sending out mind messages to the other chasers that she wanted to perform the Hufflepuff Reverse Swerve move. Since she didnt want to see if that would work, she just screamed out::

"HRS! Gooo badgers!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana grimaced as Ginny returned to the Pitch. The Ravencalws were outnumbered (Where is everyone?!) but she knew that they could handle a few Hufflepuffs (You guys know I love you). She spotted a stray Bludger flying around the Gryffindor stands and soar through the ready made obsticle corse of players and balls to get to it.::

::Elana saw Gin Gin (she did have the Quaffle after all) and swung at the Bludger. The satisfying CRACK of the hit made her grin, and that grin spread as she watched the Bludger's path head straight towards her Mum.::

::Sorry Mum, Elana thought, giving Ginny an innocent smile and a small wave over her shoulder.::

(Hufflepuff beater)

:Marie gasped when she saw the bludger going toward Ginny. She was far... she would never reach her in time! With a grim determination on her face, she zoomed toward Ginny, looking around despairingly, wishing someone would help her.

Then, just as the bludger was about to hit Ginny, since she was still a couple of feet away, Marie took a deep breath and aimed, throwing her bat at the bludger. The bat collided with the bludger, keeping Ginny from being hurt by it, but Marie knew it would be coming back soon enough. She dove to get back her bat and when she came back up, she hit the bludger again, with more strenght this time, sending it to fly toward Elana.:

::Ginny, being blissfully unaware of all that went on around her (hehe) just continued on her merry flight towards the Ravenclaws goals::

"Come on...Flissy...Jenn...where are you?" ::she whispered, not yet hearing the whizz of an oncoming badger::

Ilyria flew as fast as she could after Ginny, blocking her from the other chasers so she couldnt perform their move. she placed herself in front of ginny and watched as the bludger hit her on her back, the quaffle falling from her and right into the air above. Ilyria grabbed onto her broom and shot upwards as fast as she could, grabbing the quaffle on its decent and making her way towards the hufflepuff hoops...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen came streaming over to the Ravenclaw goals::

"Sorry Ginny," she said guiltly. "I though I saw the strangest cloud! It was shaped like Orlando Bloom's head! And so I flew closer to get a better look and..." she trailed off. "I'm here now chief and in position."

::Jen flew to the assigned position and waited for the play to start.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny smiled at Jenn and stretched her back.::

"Well, now the play requires us getting the quaffle back from Illyria," ::she pointed at the Ravenclaw girl now getting dangerously close to Hufflepuff goals::

"Once we get it, we'll still do the Reverse Swerve..."

(Hufflepuff beater)

"I'll take care of it!" shouted Marie from the other end of the pitch, grinning at Jenn and Ginny.

:She flew toward Ilyria, looking around the pitch, smiling when she saw what she was looking for. She zoomed to the nearest bludger and, grabbing momentarily her bat with her two hands, clutching the broom tightly between her knees, she hit the bludger with all her strenght and then gripped the broom with her hand before she fell. She looked worriedly at the course of the bludger but let out a little cry of joy when it collided with Ilyria's broom, making her jump and drop the quaffle in the process.:

"You go badger girls!"

(reserve ravenclaw chaser)

Ilyria felt the bludger hit her broom sending her spiralling out of control. The quaffle flew upwards, her broom sideways and her downwards

"oh oh" she muttered as she saw the ground come nearer, the quaffle now following her

(hufflepuff Chaser)

::Seeing this moment as her chance, Ginny dived for the Quaffle and caught it. She streaked over to Ravenclaws goals, tossing it to Jenn but not stopping her mad flight until she was back behind Jenn once more.::

"Let's do this!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jen caught the quaffle from Ginny and twirled on a broomstick a bit. She suddenly stopped and tossed the quaffle hard on her right to Ginny who was waiting on the far right goal.::

::She then quickly flew around and flew toward the ground where Ilyria was about to fall. She grabbed her hand and helped her toward the ground.::

"You okay?" Jen asked.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::She regained the Quaffle and twirled in mid air before throwing it easily into Ravenclaw's center goal.::

"Allriiiiiiiiiiiiiight!" ::The red head then realized that Jenn had stopped to help Illyria, so she turned around and called out.::

"Everything okay down there?"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana saw the Bludger being hit back at her by Marie, and flew down towards the ground. Getting to Illy was more important. Once she was near the ground, she jumped off of her broom and jogged over to Illy.::

"Are you all right?" she asked worridly.

(ravenclaw reserve chaser)

Illy blinked up at all the concerned faces and grinned.

"Not bad for my first game" she laughed as she took her broom back and flew back into the air watching ginny carefully and the quaffle was in play

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana smiled, glad to see that her sister was okay. She swung a leg over her broom and kicked off from the sand. She took off and flew towards Ravenclaw's goals since Ginny had just scored and hit a nearby Bludger at her Mum again...to help Illy of course :D.::

::Swift walked slowly up to the commentator box, moosing her permed hair as she went. As she absent-mindedly hummed the Scissor Sisters to herself, Elfie could be seen running down the steps, evidently in search of someone.

"Are you going to be at the match any time soon, Crackling?"

"Yes Chief," Swift answered back, saluting her boss as she ran the rest of the way.

She came in to cheers from the crowd as Elana sent a bludger towards Ginny.

"LANA! THAT'S MY DAUGHTER YOU'RE HITTING! Bludgers! Who thought of them?? Dangerous things..." Swift tutted, then grinned down at the crowd, who were now staring at her. "What? I was just a little bit late!"

Taking her position behind the megaphone, Swift watched the game with amusement.

"GO GINNY! GO LANA!" she shouted, waving her yellow and blue flags in the air.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Laughing, Elana flew over to Swifty.::

"Sorry Swifters," she said, smiling at her grandmummy. "It's my job and I have to say I'm glad I tried out."

(Hufflepuff beater)

"Ungrateful great granddaughter!"

:Marie rolled her eyes as she tried once more to keep Ginny's skull from getting broken. Seriously...

Sighing, she flew toward Ginny and evaluated her position with the bludger. If she hurried she would get to her captain first. Smiling, she flew faster and arrived right next to Ginny before the bludger but then, she started to feel dizzy and dropped her bat.:

"Shoot!" she cried as she saw the bat landing on the ground beside her. Then she turned to see the bludger which was heading for Ginny. "Yikes!"

:She flew to Ginny and pushed her out of the way, being hit by the bludger herself. She fell to the ground, though luckily she was not too high, and landed on the grass with a small "thump".:

"Remember me as a crazy girl who should have let her captain handle that stupid bludger herself..." she mumbled before she fainted.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::Erin noticed that Marie had gone down. And it looked like it had hurt quite a bit. But the game was still going on, and there were still bludgers flying everywhere, so, now that she was the only beater for Hufflepuff, she couldn't very well abandon the game. She sighed, promised herself that she'd check on Marie as soon as she could, and went to seek revenge on the poor Ravenclaw who had aimed for her mom.

It didn't take long before Erin found a bludger again and, taking careful aim, shot it back at Elana with all her might. After all, what were sisters for if not to beat up on each other?::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Aww, Marie! Elana thought worridly as she saw Marie fall. But before she had a chance to fly down to her, Erin had hit a Bludger back at her. Unfortunately, she hadn't noticed the speeding Bludger before it was right on top of her. Uh oh, she thought, knowing she was about to be hit and couldn't do anything about it. The Bludger hit her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her.::

::She doubled over, arms wrapped around her stomach as the Bludger zoomed off, feeling like she was about to throw up. Elana swayed unsteadily on the broom, blinking fiercely to try and stay up and in the game. Come on Lannie, it's just a Bludger. You've had worse in practice. Now stop playing around and hit it back!::

::With that in mind, Elana sat back up, grimacing. Her bat was chenched firmly in her right hand and her eyes narrowed as they searched for the nearest Bludger.::

(Commentating like a girl in pigtails)

"MUM!!!!!!! How COULD you.... stupid bludger!!" Swift yelled, startling a fair few of the crowd. "Well, mother's just fainted, a mediwizard would be nice right now...

"Oh dear, it seems to be attack of the Bludgers. One of my granddaughters has hit her sister and-- there goes Lana! Spiralling down and down and down and... What's that, Elfie? Commentate?

"Okay! Lana's been hit, she's down on the ground, and we're off in play again!"

(Huffle Puff Keeper) Sorry I'm late.

Danicng ran out onto the pitch her eyes streaming with tears bleached red from no sleep.How could I sleep in on a day like this Jumping on to her broom she zoomed toward her postion in frount of the middle goal post.

looks like I haven't missed much or saved much either 30-10 Huffle puff. Concentrating again she glared through her sleepy eyes sacning the pitch for the ball. There not far off but far enough away to be out of danger of another anit-scoring.

Smiling Dancing relized they were winning It was going to be another great year.

::As Swifty, the girl in pigtails (lol Swifters), had announced, Elana was now nearing the ground. A foot or so off of the sand, she toppled off of her broom and landed with a soft 'thud.' Wonderful, she thought grimly. She closed her eyes, the bright sun hurting them and her breathing slowed. I'll just lie here for a few moments, then get back to the game... That was her last thought before blacking out.::

(Drama is fun, lol)

::Jen flew around on her broomstick and wondered why everyone was fainting today. She struggled her shoulders and searched for the quaffle. Spotting it being thrown in the air, she stretched out her left hand and caught it.::

::Looking around, she flew toward the goals while dodging various players and bludgers. Once she reached the Ravenclaw goals, she lightly tossed the quaffle to score.::

::Grinning widely, she cheered as it went through. "Nice and simple." she said with a laugh, "No fancy moves but hey it still works!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny laughed and snatched the Quaffle easily out of the air. She did six loop de loops and chucked the quaffle through the far left hoop.::

"Darn..now I'm dizzy...Jenn when there stops being three of you, tell me when we do the next move." ::she mumbled out, trying to keep herself on her broom::
