| I'm surprised no one have made a topic like this yet!...
there's so many people here saying things like ROMIONE ALL THE WAY and all, but no topics for it...
so, how you probably have guessed, i LOVE R/Hr...
they're so meant to be, and they'll be together no matter what...
so, who agrees with me? | |

| This ship may work for a while but after their Hogwarts year heh it will all fall apart..
Why? well simply becuz:
There will be bills to pay- Ron will obviously put the load off on Hermione. They will fuss and bicker over the bills, Ron will be a bum and spending all of Hermione's hard earned money and Hermione will feel too sorry for him to leave him and what she though was love will simply just be the realization of infatuation and Ron will end up getting frustrated and start drinking and possibly become violent as we know he has a temper. He will run off and have an affair with someone and break Hermione's heart and then she will proabably find out, and be devastated and so there will be a tragic end....
Man...and you wonder why I don't like this ship...They are cute together in the books and while they are at Hogwarts but....after they leave the school will come the real pain....and thus the ship of Romione will sink sadly, as will all of its passengers...a tragedy to come..
Well other than that, I think that while they are at hogwarts, they look okay together. ~shrugs and strolls off to other posts~

I completely disagree with this (oh, how I love to be argumentative... ) Anyway, I think that Ron and Hermione go together really well. They complement each other - Hermione's the studious bookworm, and Ron's the slightly lazy Quidditch fan, but just because their interests are polar opposites, it doesn't mean that a relationship between the two of them won't work out. It's important to remember that yes, we are seeing them in the books as teenagers, and at times Ron acts very much like a teenage boy - self centered and only thinking of himself. We see the two of them squabbling a lot, but again they are still teenagers. A post-Hogwarts Ron/Hermione relationship would have fireworks, yes, but I think it'd work because they complement each other so much.

| um...NO WAY!!! Ron and Hermione are a thumbs down for me! it just doesnt work out, shes studious and independent, Ron is stubborn and hot headed, mix those two up, you wont get a good compatibility.
Personally, i think its nothing more than a small crush. They look at eachother and blush and then start yelling at eachother! what on earth makes you think that these two will last through the rest of their lives?!?!
Ok, and if they were married, they're a couple of things to consider. Like Hermione, she is very studious, like I said. WOuld she want kids and focus on her career? its obvious that Ron would want kids because he comes from a huge family.
And then Ron, who wouldnt be able to act calmly, during a crisis. he goes way over his head and does things without thinking. Which is certainly not the way Hermione does think, since she has a good head on her shoulders.
So yea, im not sure if this made any sense but i wanted to post it anyway! LoLs. So, there, i stated my comment. heheee

| ~grins~ Yes it is I again, treading upong this delicate thread and not to worry, I bring with me logical practical reasoning why these two are a disaster waiting to happen. I have touched on this briefly before but now...let me share with you my take on this whole sadly-doomed relationship. Let the anylization begin....
Personality- Hermione's a very bright clever girl who is booksmart so you'd think she has it made right? Ron is well Ron...not all that bright, over jealous and rude and just blah...
Okay IN school...I will ~grits teeth~ admit that Ron and Hermione might look ..okay together BUT...what about After school? After they leave Hogwarts? ~More Analyzing for after they leave Hogwarts~~ Hermione has all the makings for success and she's destined to have a good career. Ron KNOWS that Hermione is smart and she always seems to be able to succeed. Ron is messy, sloppy, has no manners what so ever, has a dangerous jealousy streak, rude and quite annoying whiney attitude. No self confidence in his abilities and therefore has all of the makings for a career as a slacker. Yes a slacker. He will most likely end up as a dishwasher at a resturaunt while Hermione climbs the high hard-working ladders of success and wealth. Ron knows that latching onto Hermione will solve his problems. He lacks maturity, and intellect to even compete with her. So what does he do?....He falls for her...cuz I'm sure that he cares about her but he also knows she's a free ride to mooch off of. And perhaps there's a chance she'll grow to love him too but Love doesn Not pay the bills :D
And sadly when the time comes who will be stuck with the bills? Hermione. Who will be stuck with all the messes that Ron makes? Hermione. Who will have to not only support herself but spend money to get Ron out of a lot of sticky situations and problems? Hermione. Who will have to come home to find her house in a complete mess and all of the food gone? Hermione. See my point? Maybe Ron isn't all...bad...but he is a slob, freeloader, and a dense guy who can't even tell the girl he likes his feelings for her yet he can bash the guys who take an interest in her and he seems to have no problem making her cry.
Boyfriend material- maybe for school but definitely NOT husband material. But okay, let's pretend I actually ...~grits teeth~like Ron. Let's take a closer look at him.
Alright first, he's been a mommy's boy for a good portion of his life. Molly took care of him and so he's gonna expect that treatment from Hermione. He has a nice side and kind nature and he might be cute to some girls but there's more to him.
Ron's grades are not the best so bad grades=bad marks=a low paying job that barely let's him make any money. He also has a bad habit of hurting Hermione's feelings and so that is another bad mark against him. He'd be better off with Harry cuz those two are closer than he and Hermione...
But he has no manners and he is so stubborn. If Hermione were to ask him to take the trash out he'd probably wait a few days or until she yelled at him. He has no sense of style or clothing sense. Hand me downs are good, but not when you are trying to go to a job interview wearing a frilly lacey patchy dress robe or other similar clothing. Also he is always being mean to her cat. Crookshanks and Ron would have so many fights and poor Hermione would have to listen to Ron's excessive cursing about how her pet is a menace.
Ron would also be the type to open old wounds- meaning bring up past discussions that he would use again Hermione. Example. They get into an argument and she goes "For Merlin's sake Ronald, can you get off your lazy bum and help me around this place?" His response would be "Well I helped you all throughout Hogwarts blah blah blah" and he'd start upsetting her and making her cry. This is the kind of guy Ron is. And though I do commend him for mastering the art of playing quidditch, I still find him to be all wrong for Hermione as far as a soul mate. And so I feel sad for poor Hermione that she's going to have to put up with this dense, rude jealous guy forever. But if we're lucky maybe Ron will go bye bye in book 7 let's all keep our fingers crossed.
So anyway, this concludes my analyzation on this ship for now...hahaha :D

| This argument makes no sense, because it's all supposition. There's little to no evidence in the books for what you said, and the fact is, Ron likes Hermione, Hermione likes Ron, and JKR has said that that's the pairing it's going to be. | |

Okay, let's take a look at how Ron and Hermione are alike: ~They are both very stubborn at times, very faithful friends to Harry Potter, and are fiercely loyal to their friends and each other. They'd protect each other no matter what.
They are, also, different. ~Ron is an under achiever, but when he applies himself he actually does well, because he is in fact pretty smart. He is very impulsive that does not hide how he feels. ~Hermione is an over achiever, and very clever. A very logical person who covers up her feelings by facts.
Opposites attract, eh? Ron and Hermione can help each other find the middle ground for each other.
And Ron doesn't just slack around all the time.
He defends Hermione from Malfoy-which takes a lot of courage. If anyone calls her a mudblood, he gets furious and defends her. Ron's gotten detentions standing up for Hermione! He tried to stand up for her when his wand was broken, something he knew, but he did it anyways. While Ron was Crabbe, and Malfoy said "Pity it wans't Granger" he shot out of his chair-touchy, eh? He was concerned when she faced down Rita Skeeter. He stood up to Snape when he called Hermione a know-it-all. He knows that's dangeorus territory, but he did it anyway.
Ron also felt very guilty when 1st year 'Mione heard his not-nice remark. He cares, aw.
And he's even "sacrificed" himself for her. (Well Harry was there too lol) Hermione was near tears when Ron sacrificed himself, so Harry could move onto face Quirrel
And, as for life after Hogwarts, isn't Harry reminded of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley when he sees Hermione and Ron? Sirius even says that Hermione is like Molly, and Ron is growing to be more and more like his father each day. (Like father like son!)

| I kind of agree with Jesse, except for the Crookshanks thing, because I believe he had softened up for Crookshanks. But when you say Hermione is like Molly? No way. Molly is a stay at home mom isn't she? Hermione wouldn't want that. She wants a great job that challenges her mind. She wants to get a high career and be the best she can be. Ron, well, sometimes I wonder about him. I think Romione reminds me of this other relationship I know about... *Sighs* They are married of course and "love" each other. But the fact is one works much harder than the other. The wife makes the money and cleans the house. She take the kids where they need to go. The husband however doesn't work as hard, is more self centered. And when the wife asks for him to clean up the house, he doesn't get it. Their mother always cleaned up the house! Their mother did the dishes, and took the kids everywhere. Well his mother didn't work. She was a stay at home mom. That was her job. So when the bills are payed and the money is tight, and the husband (who is Ron of course) who doesn't make that much money and doesn't work as hard is complaining. Hermione will explode. He's angry because the kids didn't clean their room, or didn't do the dishes when he won't even take care of his own things. So Hermione has to do it. He won't because apparently he's been working hard all day and shouldn't have to. He doesn't think that maybe Hermione has been up longer and now has to cook dinner too. This is a stressful relationship. I can see it happening. I know one just like it, they fight all the time, it makeseveryone including the kids go crazy. Because they don't always understand each other. They love each other and sure the husband is caring and sweet some of the time, but the other times he believes he works harder, that his job is more stressful so when he comes home, he expects the house to be clean, for the food to be ready, and to be able to sit around and do nothing even though there may be work to be done. | |

| Don't think that this will work out at all. Hermione is going to want to be successful in life and would want a great career. I really don't think she would for the stay at home mom thing at all. Not to mention that if they were to start going out, it would be very stressful like cheetahpie said. They really don't have that much in common to begin with and you notice that they fight constantly and don't speak to eachother for weeks. So what makes people think they will be able to carry out a relationship as more than just friends????
And I have to say it. Hermione is too good for Ron. She's very clever and well, you have to admit it...Ron isn't the brightest of the bunch. They can have feelings for eachother, but in the end it just won't work out. They don't have that compatibility. Ron tends to be a bit insensitive. Hermione is bit over deterimed and knows what she wants in life.
And also like Fated4Hp said, Ron amy be good for boyfriend material, but NOT Husband Material, especially NOT for Hermione.

| I'm not....anti-Ron/Hermione, cause whether or not I like it, thats the way it is. But I'm not really...I don't know. I'm just kind of neutral.
Although I passionately believe Hermione should be with Draco, we all know thats not going to happen. But Hermione and Ron would make a good pair. Hermione would walk all over most people if she dated them. But Ron...I don't know what it is about him, but she wouldn't walk on him.

| I hope no one kills me for this...but i honestly despise the pairing. I mean its just so predictable, best friends falling for eachother and all that jazz...its just not me. I like something exciting, not so typical and predictable. I mean yeah its okay in the books, but i still am not all that fond of it. Draco/Hermione will always be my favorite pairing and this one will always be my least. Besides, there are a lot of things throughout the books that hint that Hermione and Draco should be together, and not Hermione and Ron. I know that she will end up with Ron, but still there are many many details in all of the books that say otherwise. | |

| Ron and Hermione? I'm sorry to say that this will not work out in the end. Even if they ended up going out in Book 7. They aren't compatible at all.
One: They fight often. I don't think I haven't read a single book in the series when they weren't talking to eachother. And over little things too. So what makes you think they'll actually last as a couple. They'll probably spend more time arguing than kissing.
Two: Ron is lazy. People are lazy at times, I can see that, but he's consistent (sp?) He doesnt not apply himself at all. I do give him credit for his loyalty and honesty, but I really think he's not on Hermione's standards.
Three: Hermione is clever. We all know this. I think her smarts really intimidate Ron at times and she knows it too. She loves knowledge and likes to show it off as well, while Ron just sits there and mutters about her being a know it all
Honestly, I can see them going together, but I doubt it will last. I really don't think that the two of them together is marriage material.

| lol you're a dramione shipper aren't you? Well, to me (who doesn't really ship any relationship) thinks that if its good enough for JK Rowling then it's good enough for me. Besides perhaps they're not marriage material but they're just 17 who says they can't just date and find out whether it'll work?
p.s I actually prefer to read DRaco and Hermione too lol so I don't know why I'm going against what you just said

Also, I still can not see how people would ship Hermione with Draco - I mean - this is Draco we are talking about! Forget his looks - Hermione would never go fo his personality!
