Round One - LilyFlower vs Jennifer Williams

::Jen approached the dueling platform and groaned to herself as she spotted Lily already waiting for her. 'Would be me to to have to duel the dueling tournament coordinator! Why do I get all the luck?' She thought to herself.::

::Holding up her wand, she muttered her trademark bubble shield spell. "Valicontego Ebullio." Silver sparks erupted from Jen's wand as it slowly settled upon her body. The bubble shield spell would move however she moved like a second skin. However, she was able to make it stronger over the summer.::

"Well, Lily, I guess it's just you and me. Hope it'll be a good duel." Jen said with a slight smile as she raised her wand up to point at Lily. "Oh yeah, and don't tell Roman about this. I don't think he would react will to his wife and his favorite sister dueling." Jen added with a laugh.::

::Deciding to start off slow, Jen decided to just test out how strong, if she even had one up, Lily's shield spell was. "Diffindo! [wear down the shield] Tarantallegra! [forces legs to do a crazy dance]" She watched as the spells shot out of her broom toward Lily.::

::The spell hit Jenn as she tried to duck from it. The shield, having done it's job, protected her from most of the impact of the spell. However, although she could still open her mouth, her voice was barely a whisper. 'I hope this spell wears off before the dance tonight,' she thought to herself with a frown. 'How else am I supposed to have a good time if no one can hear me?'

::Deciding to just use nonvebal spells, although that limited her spells uses down a bit, Jen brought her shield back up. Quickly she mouthed and thought of the closed mind spell 'Mens Propinquus!' [mind closed in latin]. Even though Occlumency isn't usually taught at Hogwarts, Jenn wouldn't put it past Lily to have learned it from somewhere already. (lol)::

::Seeing Lily floating in the air, she decided to bring Lily back to the ground. 'Sepulchrum Gravis!'[gravity heavy in latin] she thought with a flick of her wand. This caused the gravity in the room to become disturbingly heavier not only making Lily go back down to the ground but also to make it harder for her to move quickly. Luckily Jen's shield bubble kept the spell off of her as she was able to move as she pleased.::

::Hoping to weaken Lily's shield enough to get a direct hit, Jen started sending random spells in Lily's direction as she continued to duck in every direction to not get hit by her own spells when it bounced of Lily.::

'Scourgify! [strip/weaken spell] Stupefy! [Stunner spell] Densaugeo! [teeth growth spell]'

::Jenn covered her mouth with her hand as she tried to make her head stop twirling. As though pulled by a magnet, her eyes kept following Lily's wand as she swirled back and forth. Suddenly landing on the ground, she groaned a bit as she felt bruises on her back. ::

::Standing up she flicked her wand and muttered, "Videlicet Mens. [clear mind in latin]" This enabled her to get Lily's commands out of her mind long enough to figure out a new plan.::

::Grinning to herself, she stuck the extra strength hearing aid that Elana gave her as a joke for her birthday in her ear. This didn't help her get her regular hearing back, but it did help her not to be completely deaf.::

::With her shield back up, she summoned up a thick white fog to fill up the room and provide another hindrance for Lily. Whispering, "Somnus Aer." [sleep air in latin] Jenn cast a clear sleeping air spell in the air that blended in nicely with the fog.::

"Estus Voluntas" [heat sense in Latin] She thought with three flicks of her wand. Gold sparks erupted from the end and sailed across the room to settle on a particular spot pacing the floor a few feet from her.::

::Taking careful aim, Jenn sent many Stunning spells in the direction of the gold sparkles. "Stupefy!" She wrapped the white clouds around her and kept a careful eye on the golden sparkles marking Lily's place.::

::Jenn covered her ears to try and block out all the jumbled thoughts in her mind. She squinted as she tried to figure out who and where she was. Jenn felt a sneeze and covered her eyes instead of her nose. 'I must be more messed up then I thought,' She thought to herself with a frown. 'And this tornado isn't helping with my headache!' She swirled to the middle of the tornado where it was the calmest and tried to figure a way out.:: (lol I actually did the sneezing thing as I was typing this!)

::Jenn took a deep breath and tried to figure a way out of this mess. 'How do I get myself out of this tornado? I'll turn myself into a heavy weight! Fructus Laganum!' [fruit cake in Latin] She thought fiercely. Jenn shrieked as various fruit cakes erupted from her wand and she got hit on her head with a particularly hard strawberry.::

'Okay that didn't work so well,' Jenn thought with a frown. 'Maybe if I say the spell for fruit cakes my jumbled thoughts will get it right! Gravis Pondus! [Heavy weight in Latin].' Jenn shrieked again as she was suddenly pulled down and out of the bottom of the tornado.::

::Jenn quickly performed the clear mind spell again and was able to hear her thoughts. Letting out a deep sigh of relief, she waved her wand at the tornado. "Gravis Ventus! [Heavy Wind in Latin]" The tornado blew out the window and swirled around outside. Jenn winced a bit as the tornado ran over Hagrid's hut. 'I'll fix it later,' she thought to herself.::

::Turning toward Lily once more, Jenn waved and flicked her wand twice. "Tardus Vicis! [slow time in Latin]" She was able to slow time down for herself in order to counter Lily's new speed and give her more time to dunk from curses and hexes.::

::Jenn quickly sent the anti gravity mist over Lily's head as well as a protective water proof ring of fire around her body that kept all the hexes she cast inside the ring. "Incendia Orbis." [fire ring in Latin] The flames wouldn't be blown out by wind but merely come up again. (Think birthday trick candles lol) With her shield spell recharged, Jenn waited to see Lily's next move.

::Jenn leaped and ducked to get out of the fire of apples bullets that came flying her way. Grimacing for a few moments as an apple hit her right on the head, Jenn was in a daze and conjured up a huge rock to hide behind as she caught her breath.::

::Waving her wand in three flicks and a swish, she chanted under her breath. "Crustulum Pomum!" [cook apples in Latin]. This caused all the apples to fall from the tree branches and land on the ground in various dessert shapes, apple pies, apple tarts, applesauce, candied apples, etc.::

::Noticing the tree getting madder as it had nothing else to throw, Jenn cast two spell in it's direction. "Ostendo Sumaevum! [reversa age in Latin]" The tree shrank and soon became a tiny apple seed it once was before. One bounced off the tree and hit Lily causing her to become much yuonger, less knowledgeable about spells, and more naiive. (LoL if you were ever naiive) She conjured up various animals to distract the young Lily and brought up her shield as she stayed behind the rock to watch.::

::Luckily Jenn was behind the rock as the stuff animals started to fly at her with a hard force. She felt her shield buckle a bit as she was hit with a spell. Ironically since her shield was still up, her mind grew old much quicker than her body. As her body remained semi young, Jenn remembered past events in life.::

"I'm parched for a bit of some green tea." Jenn said softly as she conjured up a pair of knitting needles and started to knit Lily a sweater to keep warm. "Odd but my joints aren't as worn down as before."

::She noticed Lily smirking a bit and she conjured up several miles of yarn that rapidly started to wrap Lily up tightly into a ball. "Yamus Balis!" [Yarn Ball] "Young children these days no respect for their elders." She flickered her wand to make sure the ball was tight enough so that Lily couldn't escape and her wand was on the floor next to her.::

"Much better." Jenn sat down in her rocking chair as she knitted and proceeded to tell Lily about her life back in the day. ::
