WaterLily V jennifer Williams - round 1

Each person will have 6 posts within a match!
Bring in as many new ways of attacking and defending as possible!
When the 6 posts each have finished – the match is finished and you will have to wait for your scores
Scores will be updated on score thread after each match marked!
The lowest scoring four people at the end of the matches will be knocked out and round 2 will commence
Only the named two people can post in the designated post.

::WL circles her opponent warily. What will she do? Suddenly, she leaps into the air and attacks her opponent, not caring if she will get a fast reaction.::

"Damorte!" she cries, flinging a powerful bludgeoning curse at her opponent, sending her opponent crashing loudly into the opposite wall.

::She quietly casts a strong, lasting, "Protego Infinitum" around her. It was a strong shield that would withstand any attack. Only she could take it down. But the only unfortunate thing was that it would wear off as more spell hit it. And she could not do anything from the inside.::

(The only thing I can do now, thought WL, is wait and see what she does to me.)

::Jennifer watches WaterLily with alert, turning slowly with WL as she circles her, waiting with her wand at her hand for the attack ready to come. As WL cries out her curse, Jennifer raises her wand and yells out "Protego!" She stumbles a bit and hits the wall as WL's curse hits her but manages to remain standing.::

'What is she just standing there waiting for?' Jenifer wonders to herself. 'Maybe...'

::Jennifer raises her wand and yells, "Oppugno!" She conjures up a crowd of angry birds that charged WL and start attacking. At first they don't seem to be able to reach her, but they continue on trying.::

'Just what I thought a Shield spell. A very powerful one at that. I have to admit, she's really good.' Jennifer thought to herself as she raised her wand and waited for the spell to wear off. 'Those birds will keep trying to attack until she lets the shield down to get rid of them or the spell wears off from all their attacks.'

::She stood there with her wand at ready to cast a shield spell to defend herself any moment.

"Sweet Merlin!" muttered WaterLily to herself, "These birds are incredibly annoying! And there's no way of getting rid of them! Except...Yes! That would work!"

::She quickly slips off her cloak and lays it on the ground. She only has limited time before her shield wears off!::

"Diffindo!" the cloak has been cut up into millions of tiny pieces.

"Transfiguro Sunflower seeds!" Now, on the ground, there are tiny seeds in place of her cloak. The birds immediately flew down and began trying to peck the seeds.

"Pauso incantatem!"

The shield spell wore off momentarily and Waterlily had time to cast two spells in quick succession and run away so that the birds could get to the seeds.

"Reducto!" she cried out loud, knowing that it would have little effect on Jennifer's shield, but hoping for the best. As WL ran to the side of the duelling room, she focused her mind on (Penatro Explelliarmus), wordlessly producing this spell, which would follow Jennifer around until her shield had worn off and then try and disarm her. If her shield was weaker than WL thought, then the spell would break right through it.

WL crouched down into a ready position to defend Jennifer's next attack. She was lucky that the birds had vanished when they had eaten their fill.

"Darn birds." Jennifer muttered as she watched the birds fly down to the ground to eat the seeds.

::As her shield wore off, she raised her wand only to find that it had flown out of her hand!::

"Accio wand!" She said quickly and casted a quick succesion of spells towards the wall where WL was standing. "Petrificus Totalalus! [full body bind] Impedimentum! [slows person's reaction].

::As she waits to see which of her curses will hit WL as she slow down, she holds her wand at ready as she uses Legilimency to see what move WL willl do next.

::Spotting a spider by her foot,she's hit with inspiration and whispers "Wingardium Leviosa." And moves the spider by WL. Then she cries out "Engorgio!"

::She watched as the spider swells up to the size of a huge dog.::

“Argh!” she screams.

::She shudders at the gigantic spider, looming confusedly in front of her::

“Evanesco!”

::She breathes a sigh of relief as she vanished it…she hates spiders…by that time, the impedimenta has worn off, and the petrificus totalus had bounced off the shield, demolishing it, she was ready to commence her next attack.

(What shall I do next?) she thought.

Suddenly, she hears an alarm bell in her mind. Someone had broken in!

“Sneaky thing, she is!” WL immediately put up barrier after barrier and then, had a thought. Safe in the knowledge that Jennifer couldn’t ‘hear’ her, she created a mental image of a giant snake, as retaliation for the spider. Then, she allowed Jennifer in far enough to access only that image.

When Jennifer had left her mind, WL, still keeping the barriers up, sent a spell that she had produced herself. Much like Serpensortia, instead, it created a lion.

“Leonis Maximus!” The lion roared and ran to pin Jennifer onto the ground, what it had been instructed to do.

As the lion loped across the room, WL took advantage of the lion’s cover and cast several Stupefy’s around Jennifer’s area so that if Jennifer moved, she would fall right into the line of a spell.

She then cast the same shielding spell around her as before and waited, amusedly as Jennifer reacted to her Lion.

::Surprised at the sight of the lion instead of the snake, Jennifer screamed and conjured up a big rock. She then levitated herself on top to give herself time to think what to do with the lion. Jennifer put a shield spell over herself to block all the spells. As the lion started growling at her, she got an idea.::

" Crosius Laminor!" [cross species spell, changes lion into lamb] she said with a swish of her wand.

::As the lamb baaed (I don't know what sounds lambs make! ), she motioned it away so it wouldn't get hurt. Once more she stood in front of WL and pointed her wand at her::

"Anex Gravtios!" Jennifer makes the anti-gravity mist appear in a small circle around WL. Knowing that nothing will get rid of the mist until a person steps into it, Jennifer tries to get WL into moving into the mist by shooting curses at her. "Relashio!" she cried out as a jet of red fiery spark shot at WL. "Stupefy! [stunning spell] Petrificus Totalus! [full body bind]."

::She then mutters a quick shield spell and waits to see what happens next.::

(Just wanted to say great job so far Water Lily! You've been keeping me on my toes and I spend alot of time finding a way to outdo you! LoL)

::WL peered curiously at the strange mist that hung in front of her.::

(Ah! An Anti Gravity mist! I've read about those! I have to step into it for it to go away! Huh! I'm not that stupid!)

::Knowing that the shield would hang on as it had a bit more power in it than the last, she cried out, "Duplicum!" and watched as a brainless, clone stepped into the mist. Said clone floated into the air, and five seconds later, it dropped to the floor in a flash of sparks::

"Hmm. Now what can I do with Jennifer?" she muttered to herself.

::WL saw that Jennifer had a weak shield around her and thought about how to effectively scare her. She suddenly had a brain wave and did the one thing that was unadvisable to do in a duel. She turned her back to Jennifer, giggling inwardly at what Jennifer's face must look like.

"Camoflatum!" she whispered, confident in her shield as she had just re-enforced it.

She dissillusioned herself and the whispered "Simulta Photonoma". She stepped away and quickly lifted the spell from her simultaneous image, darting away into a position that would be useful. The image was an exact replica of WL but unlike the clone, it had a brain and would be exactly like WL until she said "Finite Photonoma" The image turned around and walked towards Jennifer.

As this was going on, WL went behind Jennifer, took off her shield and sent spells around Jennifer to startle her. She then moved into a different place and continued throwing spells at Jennifer. All the while, the image was still following jennifer like a muggle robot, randomly casting simple spells like "Expelliarmus" and "Stupefy" to disturb jennifer.

WL carried on casting spells around jennifer but finally finished this attack with a three bat-bogey hexes at jennifer. One at her shield, one to hit her and one if she missed. One was sure to hit the spot!

She crouched down again and cast shields around both herself and her aimlessly wandering image.

[Thanks! You're quite good, too! Most of my attacks are created by me...by the way...can i call you J or Jenn - it's easier - i always spell Jennifer wrong and have to go back and correct it]

*(Sure you could call me Jen thats fine! LoL It's only the two of us in this duel you could call me whatever you want! LoL I'm going to have to start making up spells to keep up with you!)
::Jennifer is confused as WL turns around and starts walking aimlessly towards her. (Did I shoot a Confundo spell at her? she thought to herself. I swear I didn't.) Suddenly spells are hit at Jennifer from every angle! She frantically tried to put up serveral shield spells in time but was still caught by a nasty bat boegy spell and a disarming spell. She screamed and tried to get the flying bats off her face as her wand flew out of her hand.::

" Accio wand! Finite incantium!" she yelled out of desperation to get the bats away from her.

::As the bats disappeared, Jen quickly put a shield spell around her and and tried to figure what to do next.::

"I have to distract WL to get some more time." She thought to herself. Getting an idea she muttered, " Manium Ostrigunito" [causing a HUGE flock of ostriches to appear and run around the room frantically.]

::Jen then transfigured herself into an identical ostrich and blended in with the flock running around the room. She placed a few Shield spells on herself and other ostriches so WL couldn't tell which one was her. Knowing this will but her some time because WL would have to get rid of each animal one by one, which would be hard because ostriches are the fastest birds in the world. She ran around the room as she thought of something else to do.::

*(Hope this is okay. LoL this was just a crazy idea I had! This duel is only half over! Haha regular spells werent working so now I have to make up stuff of my own.)*

::Lily scratched her head in confusion. (Ostriches? How random! I just need to figure out how to get rid of them…and find jen!) She squawked as an ostrich bumped unknowingly into her as she was still disillusioned.::

“Transfiguro Sand!” she lifted her arms and transfigured the hard concrete floor into a vast expanse of desert. Her image was still there…it was being really annoying so Lily got rid of it, hoping to use it again later. She grinned wickedly as she then muttered,

“Pennipotenti Territo!” [direct Latin meaning is to scare birds, I think] The ostriches were startled by the loud noise and immediately buried their heads in the sand, leaving only one…Jen!

“Impedimenta!” she cried, watching in triumph as the spell hit jen, allowing lily time to untransfigure the ground and vanish the ostriches.

:: She quickly confunded jen while the spell was still on her and had a disturbing thought. (How would jen transfigure herself? She couldn’t hold a wand!) Wanting to finish the duel, lily transfigures jen back as best as she could – human transfiguration wasn’t her forte.::

::She cast multiple spells at jen, trying to get her to surrender. Jen still couldn’t see her because lily was still disillusioned. Lily then performed an attacking spell that had been passed down by her Indian ancestors for generations.::

::Vishe Banarthe-Gola!”

::Out of her wand, flew 36 burning arrows, which landed hard in a circle around jen. As they hit the ground, they released a poisonous gas, which wasn’t harmful, as such, but still affected the person in the centre of the circle. Mainly, the gas was composed of a sleeping solution and something that made the inhaler woozy, sick and have pain in their heads. The arrows prevented the user from leaving the circle of 70 seconds so that they would have time to inhale it and the gas was such that it could not be charmed, hexed, transfigured, vanished, banished, or compressed. It would have to be consumed while the arrows were there.

She waited with bated breath to see how jen would handle it after the confundus wore off.::

*[Sorry jen! Twas the best i could think of! Therer is a way out of this, though…I made sure there was and if you read carefully, the clue is pretty easy to spot. Feel free to get back at me! I deserve it!]

*(Aha! It's starting to get very complicated. LoL and yes my parents used to have alot of birds as pets..can you tell? LoL)*

::Jennifer bumbled around the circle confused and well as clucking every few mins (WL's human transfiring didn't turn out well). Suddenly the spell wore off and she found herself in a circle of arrows with thick smoke coming closer and closer to her. Panicking, Jen casted a quick bubblehead spell on herself and put a protective shield up while she waited for the smoke to clear out.::

(How do I get her out? How do I get her to appear? she wondered.)

::Jennifer started casting all the magic revealing spells she could think of. "Aparecium! [makes invisible things visible]" Suddenly she saw a glimmer in the corner. "Got you!"

::As soon as the the arrows vanished, Jennifer started casting spells in the direction of the glimmer she saw earlier.::

"Diffindo! [severing spell to weaken the shield spell on WL]" When she saw the spell taking affect, she placed a well placed freezing spell directly at WL. " Peskipiksi Pesternomi ! [Freezing spell]"

*edit* (I didn't even see that we had only one move each left! I'll miss dueling with you! It's been great! Hope we do it again!)

*(OMG! Last post! Good luck in the judging! I'll try and make this a good one! Maybe we could duel on msn or next time there's a tournie if you really want? I'll miss it too but we can still have fun at the winter ball, lol!)

::WaterLily jumps to the side as the revealing spell brushes over her shield. It is very weak and jen's diffindo just about breaks it.
Before jen's freezing spell reaches her, however, WL says the first spell that comes into her mind, the ingiting spell.::

"Lacarnum Inflamare!"

::The spells meet halfway and burst into a flash of light. WL then racks her brains for a proper comeback. Her dissillusionment spell is flickering and she makes use of it by running to and fro so she does not present a firm visible target for jen. She pants and finally stops.::

(Thank merlin's footlong beard that the duel is nearly over! I don't think I would be able to stand up anymore if it continued for longer!)

::She brandishes her wand, ready to fire her last spell before collapsing.::

"Aguamenti Ananas"

::Suddenly, out of her wand, there are giant pieces of pineapple and watery juice heading straight for jen in a wide arc. Knowing that it would hit her wherever she went as the expanse of it was so enormous, WL took the time to catch her breath. The pinapples would not be affected by any spell or charm. It didn't matter if there was a barrier, physical or magical becasue the pineapples were going everywhere! They would surely be at least three feet deep. It would make jen sticky, wet, and very very grumpy for a long time!::

"Arrete 4 feet!" WL created a barrier above jen's head so that she would not levitate herself up to avoid the juice. If WL wanted her to be surrounded in pinapple juice...then she would be...at least for some time! Anyway...Who DIDN'T like pineapples?

(LoL we will have fun at the ball with crazy Oliver haha it has been fun! Hey maybe we'll get to duel each other again! But not too soon I'm exhausted from this duel hahah)

::Jennifer screamed again as pineapples and juice went everywhere. She quickly conjured up a huge rock to hide behind. Yet pineapple juice hit her hair and shoes.::

"Arhh!!" Jen moaned. "I just bought these shoes! They cost me 7 galleons and15 sickles! And I have a big date tonight!"

::Jen turned to WL with fire in her eyes. Suddenly a last piece of pineapple flew through the air and hit Jen in the face!::

"What the-!" Jen chewed on the pineapple. "Ohh sweet."

::Jen wiped her hands on her robe and decided to cast the spell she's been waiting to cast.::

"Accio WL's wand!" Jen cried out as WL's wand flew towards her. "Evanesco!" [which made the wand not become invisble but go away completely].

::Jen then conjures up two chairs, one behind her and one behind WL and collapsed on it.::

"It's finally over! Let's take a break. I'll help you look for your wand later. Would you like a chocolate frog?" Jen asked as she threw a chocolate frog at WL.

(Great duel! I've had alot of fun! Hope you have fun judging elfie!)
