11th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V HUFFLEPUFF: 18th - 22nd

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy zoomed forwards, falling into formation behind Lily as he motioned with his bat frantically towards the goal.

"Go go go! I'll cover you!" He shouted over the roaring wind, leaning forward on his broom as he adjusted his flight path so he was just outside of Lily's wake. He felt the rush of air as she passed him, mere inches from a very painful and very violent collision.

He allowed himself a quick, split-second breather before moving off again.

With a burst of extra speed, he flattened himself further against the wooden shaft as he dipped under the chaser, emerging ahead of her on the other side. With a quick glance to the area around him, he decided there weren't any incoming bludgers and leaned to his left and pulled up. The resulting g-force from the turn made him feel slightly light headed - he was a Beater, he wasn't used to barrel rolls and guarding maneuvres, that was Chaser territory - but he managed to right himself on Lily's other side. He fell back slightly, spying a small, black speck that he zoomed towards after signalling to the Chaser that he was breaking off.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

He arced through the air, hearing the low, trademark whistle of the bludger before he could see it properly. With a hand that was slightly shaky from the moves he’d just pulled on the field, he turned sharply, drifting to the side in his turn so that he was following the bouncing, ducking and weaving ball as close as he dared. He raised his bat, waiting for his moment…

There! He smashed the bludger towards the Hufflepuff goals, watching as it zoomed perilously close to their keeper and whizzed straight across Lily’s line of flight, hopefully unseating any potential tackles from the Hufflepufff Chasers as she moved into the scoring zone.

:: skully sat down on her commentator chair and sighed.::

"HI everyone!"

:: she saw most of the people out there waving at her, some of them with a "FINALLY!" look in their faces::

"hmmm, right... yeah, I'M SORRY I'M LAAAAATE!!"

:: she yelled::

"I'm really really really sorry, but i really couldn't come earlier! I'm just glad i came in time!

Anyways, i would like someone to tell me how is the results so far, so i can keep track of everything!

So, today, the quidditch game is the cute-nice-and-powerful-Hufflepuffies against the intelligent-cool-and-wonderful-Ravenclawies!

I see Jenn, Lilyflower, Jimmy, Eirbear, and lots of other people playing!

I hope no one got hurt yet!

anyways, moving on, continuing, ahead, what was i saying again?

"Ok, no sign of McGonnagal."

"O, let's hear your bets everyone!

Who will win this game? I accept up to 50 galleons and the minimum is 1 galleon. No one under 13 years old is allowed to place a bet, and i recieve the money BEFORE the game ENDS!

::Elana shook her head and recovered from the quick drop she had had to take (Jimmy and Lily had nearly flown into her while she was trying to stay below Lily in case anything happened to her) and flew back up level with them.::

"Nice play you too," Elana called to them. "Just keep an eye out for your team-mates," she said jokingly.

(Reserve Ravenclaw keeper)

~Brunette righted herself on her broom thanks to Marie and nodded to her in a appriciation. Lily and Jimmy had both scored and she cheered along with all the other Ravenclaws~

"Woo hoo!!" she exclaimed, cupping one hand around her mouth. "Let's Go Ravenclaw!" she wobbled a bit, but she tightly gripped the broom to keep from falling again.

(Hufflpuff Keeper)

::Dancing swevered to dogde the bludger and missed saving the qwaffle, pouting to herself she was not having a good game. Coming round she caught the qwaffle and threw it into the air. Spinning it around she hit it with her broom. And watched it zoom to Jenn.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn broke out of her daydream and lunged forward on her broom to catch the quaffle. Jerking her broomstick hard on the right, she swung her broom around and made a complete 180 turn. Ducking a flying bludger, she flew toward the Ravenclaw goalposts.::

(Hufflepuff beater)

Marie cheered on Jenn as she saw her flying toward the Ravenclaw keeper.

"You go girl, you can do it!" she said cheerfully.

She then shrieked and ducked a bludger that had almost hit her. She glared at it and shook her fist in the air.

"You evil little ball!" she said, glaring.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn laughed. "Hmm.. Marie thats what they're SUPPOSE to do." She jokingly called out. Jenn spotted two Ravenclaw chasers in front of her. She layed down low on her broomstick and closed her eyes as she flew quickly throgh the gap.::

::Jenn flew around the center hoop and suddenly jerked to the left and threw the quaffle quickly through the left hoop.::

"Finally," She said with a sigh of relief and flew off.::

:: skully got up ::

"WOOHOOOO JENN SCORES!

another 10 points to the hufflies! Way to go!

Will the ravenclaws fight back?"

"Of course," Elana cried towards Skully, and quickly spotted a Bludger. She flew up to it, bat up by her head, and swung at it. It zoomed in a nearly straight line towards Jenn. Sorry Jenn dear, Elana thought. But you scored...that's just not right.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Ginny had dozed off on her broom and woke up to see a bludger hurtling at Jenn. She gasped and zipped over to her team mate and pushed her out of the path of the oncoming bludger. She sighed in relief, pushing a strand of her red hair out of her brown eyes.::

"Sorry I've been a bit inactive Jenn, must've dozed off. To make up for it...are you up for the Pufferang?" ::she grinned mischievously.::

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

::Dancing cheered for hufflepuff as they scored, and did a victory backward swoop, "you Go Jenn!" She yelled.

(Reserve Ravenclaw Keeper)


~Brunette cursed herself as she missed another goal. What was wrong with her? She was just letting the quaffle slip through her fingers! She narrowed her eyes and hurled the quaffle to Lily.~

I won't miss another or I'll never forgive myself she thought, beating herself up.

"Come one Ravenclaw!!!!" She shouted, loudly

(Ravenclaw chaser)

::lifey sighed as she and her fellow chasers let the huffies get by with a couple goals::
::not wanting to pull off a quick play on her own, but not really having a choice, Lifey intercepted the quaffle as the huffie's past it back and forth, tossed the quaffle high in the air, swung around 720 degrees (twice in a circle) and on the third time around the tail of her broom collided with the quaffle with a loud and sickening "smack" hitting the scarlet ball half way across the field and smoothly through the right goals post...ten more points to ravenclaw::

(Ravenclaw Reserve Keeper)

"Woo! Go Life!" Brunette cheered, clapping her hands while keeping her broom steady. She looked around the field and ducked when a bludger came her way.

Stupid things she thought icily as she watched zoom away from her.

"We need to find that snitch and soon.." she murmurmed.

(ravenclaw chaser)

::lifey circled the quidditch pitch, looking for elly...::

"hey brunette! we really need elly....now!!"

::lifey's brow creased worriedly::

"if we can't get the snitch..."

(Hufflpuff Keeper)

::Just before the ball soared right through her hands at the right goal post Dancing zoomed off in that Direction and hit the ball so hard that it ran into the stands. She grinned, she had saved a goal, not like a normal save but it was still saved.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn caught the quaffle on rebound and flew toward the Ravenclaw goals. Holding it under her right arm, she used her other hand to steady the broom as a bludger shot right past her.::

::Biting her lip. she took carefully aim and threw the quaffle straight at the rim of the right hoop. Bouncing off, it shot to the left and she flew forward to volley it into the left hoop creating a loud cheer as it went straight inside with a swish.::

(Ravenclaw chaser)

(well if dancing can change what was posted, then so can i)

::in with a swish, or so jenn had thought::

::in fact the swish that jenn had heard, and not bothered to see through, was actually the sound of Lifey, at lightening fast speed, intercepting the quaffle and scoring for ravenclaw in a mater of miliseconds...thanks to her new broom::

"TEN POINTS TO US!" Lifey cheered along with the crowd as the ravenclaw points were recorded.

(Reserve Ravenclaw Keeper)

"Nice one, Lifey!!!" Brunette cheered as she too had dived to intercept the Hufflepuff Chaser.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn shrugged her shoulders and grinned a bit as she intercepted the quaffle thrown into the air as the Ravenclaws were still celebrating. Ducking a flying bludger, she flew around in strange directions and patterns, taunting teh others with her Badger Banter move. Swiftly flying behind the hoops, she dangled the quaffle above the right hoop and tossed it in.::

"Just making sure it went in this time." Jenn said with a wink at Lifey as she smiled.::

(ravenclaw chaser)

::lifey grinned back and jenn and stuck her tongue out::

"you know badgers live in little burrows in the ground dont they...unlike...you know..eagles...who fly...like this" ::lifey grinned and flew a swoop on her broom.::

::she grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back in and raced towards the huffie goals.::

::She felt the wind whipping at her robes and felt her adrenaline rise as she listened to the crowd cheer her on::

::suddenly jenn flew in front of her, prepared to swipe the quaffle, but Lifey managed to perform a sloth grip roll up and over jenn.::

::lifey reached the goals, but with out stopping she flew right past dancing, who had no time at all to react, and dropped the quaffle through the left hoop.::

::Lifey pulled away and smiled as she heard the bell signaling more ravenclaw points::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn snapped her fingers. "Darn so close." She muttered to herself. She caught the quaffle and jerked her broomstick upward, causing Lifey to follow her in the Porskoff ploy. Adding her own variety to the play, she made to drop the quaffle like the original play but caught it with the crook of her foot.::

::Spinning on her broomstick, Jenn kicked the quaffle into the air and smacked it straight into the center hoop with a satisfying thump.::

(oh no I'm stuck online with two Ravenclaws lol)

::Lifey sighed as jenn scored with a brilliant play.::

"dannnng jenn!" ::she said::

::she grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown in again, and was determind not to lose the opportunity to score:::

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

::Etta woke up from her unexpected nap in mid air and gulped in the fresh air before shooting off in search of the snitch.

After five minutes her eyes fell on to the snitch which was flickering down on the grass below, with a heavy sigh Etta pushed ehrself forward and raced down to the ground.

As she came closer Etta reached out her hand and scooped the snitch into her hand with a big grin she fell head first off her broom.

"Whoohooooooo," she yawned before curling up and going to sleep.

Marie laughed and landed on the ground, running to Etta and shaking her to wake her up.

((*yeah but I don't see the utility as the game is over XD lol*))

(Lify I only change the post because Chasers never give us Keepers a chance to save goals.)

::Dancing sighed and headed the greet her winning team mates, she wished she had been able to do better but no such luck. She'd missed alot of easy saves.

"Good game you guys," She said.

::As the other players where distracted by the catching of the snitch, Lifey saw, and seized, her chance.::

::Diving for the forgotten quaffle before it smacked the ground, Lifey caught it, and looked forward to see the ground not 6 feet away from her::

::her eyes widened and she pulled up on her broom handle with all her might, the force of the steep climb in altitude at her speed of travel nearly ripping the quaffle, which was tucked under her arm, from her grasp.::

::She shifted so that the quaffle was in a firmer nook against her body and flew without heeding any passing players directly for the hufflepuff goals::

::she barely remembered what happened...something involving a bludger, a beaters bat, a chaser, center hoop, quaffle, and ten more points to ravenclaw::
