5th House Quidditch: Slytherin vs Hufflepuff: 7th - 11th

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Etta stepped out into the starry night and climbed onto her broom.

The wind rushed through her as a gentle breeze danced across her face, sighing happily, the little Hufflepuff badger pulled a long and shiny object from out the depths of her Quidditch Robes.

The gleaming Beater's bat sparkled under the nights moon light, as light reflected off its untarnished platinum casing.

Swinging the bat high above her head, Etta glanced around the empty pitch. checking her watch she clucked to herself and tucked her bat away for a brief moment whilst she pulled her long black and pink hair back into a tight ponytail.

Finally satisfied with her hair, she retrieved her bat and accelerated swiftly across the pitch waiting for the opposing team to turn up and take a whooping.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Ah, for a change I am on time!" Grinning and quite proud of herself, Streams strode out of the locker rooms and promptly knocked her head into the low doorway. "Right..." she groaned, rubbing her head. "That thing with pride and falls..."

Considerably more grounded now, though not for long, Streams twirled her bat expertly and straddled her broom. She took a moment to breathe in the cool, fresh air as her broom ascended. She opened her eyes as she soared high above the pitch, the lights and noise far below her, and could see a sprinkling of stars in the sky. Then she zoomed back down, ready to play. "May the beater with the most whacks win!" she shouted at Ettie as she whooshed by.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

Etta grinned at Streamers and shouted back in reply, "I certainly will!"

Noting the noise below her, Etta dived fast just o test her breaks, she heard the crowd all around her gasp just before she pulled out of the dive and skimmed the dew filled grass. Smiling to herself, Etta pushed the nose of her broom high into the sky once more.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon arrived at the Quidditch Pitch with her beloved broom flung over her shoulder. Taking a look at the starry sky, she swung onto her broom and doing a loop de loop she rose up in the air. Gazing around the field she saw that Etta and Streams were both there already. Turing her attention to the pitch, she scanned it for the quaffle

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Schuyler stared out into the dark night, trying to make sense of the consellations she was supposed to be studying for Divanation. Then a buzz sounding from behind her startled her into a frenzy. Looking over her shoulder, she saw the clock she set for the quidditch game. Uh-oh, she was LATE! Doing verbal acrobatics under her breath, Schuyler sprinted down the stairs only to find herself falling head over heels into a seventh year student. Mumbling vague apologies, as she ran off, she hoped that he had heard them. She practically flew into the deserted locker room, after her graceless crash, and dived for her clothes. Shrugging into the night black and elegant gold robe, the colors of her house, she quickly grabbed her shoes and jammed them on her feet. Quickly snatching her broom from its stand, she proceeded to walk out into the star lit field, and fall on her face. Curse all shoes and their god-forsaken laces! Schuyler’s face began to fade into a pink that was to bright for her pale skin. Trying to shrug it off, she tried to look like she didn’t care as she nonchalantly grabbed her broom and proceeded to make her laps around the stadium. The feel of the wind as it rushed by her was unbelievable, and Schuyler felt her worries and fears melt into the adrenaline rush that accomponied flight.

Waving excitedly to Etta, Schuyler crossed the field with a silly grin on her face.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Dani ran out onto the pitch and sawa few members of both teams had arrived, she smiled happy to be out of the stands and on the field once more. She jumped on her firebolt, a christmas present from Ettie a few years back, and soared over to her rings. Waving to Etta, Streams, and Dragon as she past them.

Glancing over the pitch she could feel the anixousness rebounding from all the corners around her. Dani watched as Madam Hooch realeased the Qwaffle and the game began.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

She stopped in mid twirl and flatten herself on her broom and dropped several feet. The bludger hit by a slytherin seeker had came dangerously close to her.

As she raised her head to check if the coast was clear, she spotted the Quaffle on her far right. Doing a sharp U-turn she shot towards the ball and did a Badger Shuffle - a move that lets her have a better grasp of the ball - she held the quaffle tightly as she raised towards the goal hoops

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

She frowned at Rocky who had just flown by her. She knew he was planning something. Sparing a glance to see where he was going, she watched as he headed towards the same place as she was, the goal hoops. Pulling up from where she was, Dragon saw that Rocky was still watching her.

Something was seriously on his mind. She stopped a long way from the goals and shifted the quaffle to the nook of the leg. Dragon glanced at the beater who was waiting there. Frowning again she saw that none of the Hufflepuffs were close by so decided to score herself.

She jumped up from her broom and pushed it behind her. Doing a backwards flip, she kicked the quaffle straight in the hoops and landing a feet away, on her broom.

Hearing the bell chime to announce her score, she sighed in relief and glanced at the beater above: that move took a lot of practice.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

Etta waved excitedly at her father, her gleaming Beater's Bat reflecting the light into her father's eyes. "Oops," she muttered, her eyes skimmed down at the Slytherin Beater and noticed his movements to her own years previously when she had once been Seeker for her team.

"Bludgerig Badgers," she muttered to herself as she watched the Slytherin track down to Bludgers in quick succession.

Swooping low, Etta flew as hard as she could, reaching her Chasers on the pitch, smiling at the newest edition of the team, Etta mouthed 'good luck' to the new chaser before doing a quick spiral cannon, spinning her body around and around as her broom picked up speed, her heart was in her mouth as she became dizzy slightly and shot past the Chaser.

Her eyes narrowed and zoned in a Bludger dancing behind the Slytherin goal posts. Pushing hard, Etta rounded on the bludger and brung her bat down hard into the bludgers side, with a loud thwack Etta closed her eyes and quickly performed the Badger Hide move, flattening herself hard against her broom and flipping her body over so that she hung upside down, Etta allowed her broom to drop a couple of feet, a move so familiar to her it was almost instinct.

With only 10 yards between her and her father, Etta knew her Bludger attack was on direct course for his poor head.

(hufflepuff seeker)

As Kaytii Quickly Ran into the pitch then forgetting she had had forgotting to changeinto her quidditch robe she ran soo fast into the hufflepuff changing rooms as soon as she changed she grabbed her broom and stated to flee to the pitch.

As soo as kaytii was flying about she saw etta kaytii shouted "i got here as soon as i could" and set to find a good postion.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Schuyler watched with amazement as she watched the game unfold below her feet. Cheering inwardly that Hufflepuff had the first score, she allowed herself a moment of thought.

"Where is that bloody quaffle?" She muttered in an undertone.

Racing into the middle of the pitch, Schuyler looked around to spot the scarlet ball that was her target. Leaning forward in a last effort to coax more speed out of her rickety Cleansweep, Schuyler raced towards the quaffle. Swooping down from above, she snatched the quaffle out of the air with both hands.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Etta grinned as she saw Kaytii come running onto the pitch,hearing the seeker's words,Etta gave her a quick thumbs up as raced to cover Skie who was now in possession of the Quaffle.

Moving into position, Etta began to circle the chaser as she made her way to th slytherin goals, searching all directions for any on coming bludgers.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Smiling brightly at Etta, Schuyler turned her full concentration onto getting the quaffle safely between those goalposts, now much more safely. Half blinded by the bright lights illuminated the starry stadium, Schuyler grasped the quaffle, grateful that it was such a perfect weather to be flying. Pulling her broom up to her body, she tried to elicit just an ounce more speed from her quavering broom. Pulling up to lunge into the sky right in front of the Slytherin goalpost, Schuyler sped forward. Throwing the ball up into the air suddenly, Schuyler brought the tail of her broomstick to make contact with the leather and slammed the helpless quaffle through the hoops. The screaming crowd broke into a wave of black and yellow, as Schuyler smiled maniacally.

“Sorry Mr. Broom” Schuyler whispered to her broom, to excited to realize that she was talking to an inanimate object.

{Huffie Keeper}

Dani bobbed up and down in front of the goals, suprised that none of the of the Slytherin chasers were there, she did a few loops around the goals before settling back into place in front of the center ring.

She smiled and waved at the new comer Skie, Dani hummed to herself and glared at Raist from across the pitch.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon waved at Etta who had just hit the bludger away from her head. That slytherin beater sure was determined to get her that time. Looking around she saw one of the other Hufflepuff chasers had got the quaffle. She did a sharp U-turn and skid towards her fellow teammate. Easing up along her, Dragon hovered a few feet behind her and saw that Schuyler had just scored and was now talking to her broom?

Shrugging she looked around to see where the quaffle had gone to. Spotting it a few feet away from Dani (and wondering how in the world it got there) she flattened herself on her broom and shot towards the ball. Skidding to a stop, she grasp the quaffle and did another U-turns accompanied by a loop de loop and flew back towards the goal posts.

"Well done Skie!" Cheered Etta as the chaser scored, Etta rose high into the sky,leaving behind the members of her team and she chased down a bludger with Streamies name on it.

Turning a sharp left, she dived,a deep heart racing, blood pumping dive, as her stomach rose to her throat and her heart beat in her mouth,Etta kicked out hard, kicking the bludger.

"OOOOwwwwwwwwww OW! MY TOOTSIES!" she screamed out in agony as she rolled off her broom and began to fall.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

::Dani saw the bludger coming towards her and Etta fall she cursed herself for being a good person and instead of defending herself raced to Etta's aid. She dived and caught Etta's outstreached wrist and hauled her on to her broom.

"That was close," she muttered seeing the ground about 20 feet below them. She headed towards the ground and touched down seeing Etta's broom and bat a couple yards away. She lunged for the bat and smacked the oncoming bludger with it sending it towards Rocky. She smiled to herself.

"Be careful" she warned Etta before getting back on her broom and soaring up to the goals.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Etta smiled mercifully at Dani as she hopped back onto her broom, plays raced through her mind as she considered who to attack.

"The Beater would be bboring, he has a bat," she mused to herself. "Poor daddy is well, old so i cant be beating on him...."

Etta's thoughts trailed off as she narrowed her version in on another Bludger, not thinking, the little Hufflepuff did what she always, she lunged forward and smacked the ball at the Slytherin Keeper.

"SORRY DADDY!" she cried as an after thought.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Taking in a sharp breath of relief as Dani swung Etta out of danger, Schuyler paused for a moment to gather her floating thoughts. Stopping to listen to Etta's battlecry, Skie looked up smiling. Glad that no one had been injured (except for maybe the Slytherin Keeper), Skie turned towards the end of the field where Dragon was heading. Racing to the goalpost, Schuyler pulled up a few feet short and awaited the next play.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Ho hum," Streams yawned, glancing around the pitch. As much as she loved throwing bludgers around, today it was more like a game of volleyball with the bludgers than anything else...with a little shrug, Streams straightened on her broomstick. Even so, she couldn't afford to get lazy--more players might turn up. With that thought in mind, she decided to 'kidnap' a bludger and keep it around for some time in the near future when she might need it.

She lay flat on her broom for maximum speed, and quickly caught up with a bludger that was whirling around near the Huffie goal posts. Then she whacked it down. Following it down, she whacked it up. She smashed it to the right, and after following it to the right, smashed it to the left. Streams giggled. Reminds me of paddle ball...though MUCH more exciting, she thought delightedly, and continued amusing herself with her little game. Sooner or later she would release the bludger and send it pelting at one of the Slytherins, but not yet.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Uh oh..." Schuyler whirled around to see a bludger, kindly aimed at her by Rocky, zooming straight for her unsuspecting self. Curling into a dive, Schuyler attempted to dodge the bludger that was only a meter away. Spinning towards the ground, Skie ducked a second to late.

Skie heard the crack only a second after the impact after the bludgers hit her on her head. Her head spun dizzily, trying to make sense of what just happened. Lifting her hand up to her short hair, Schuyler brough her hand down and looked at the gooey reddish substance on her fingers.

"Well, I suppose it's good that I have a hard head..." She said, the beginning of a headache creeping in.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon quickly flew past grinning beater and tossed the quaffle straight into the hoop. Humming under her breath she did a little twirl in the air and rose higher up in the air.

Glancing over her shoulder she saw that the beater had now regained his footin- er seat and was hovering there. She relaxed a bit since the quaffle decided go hiding. Gazing at the stars she idly wondered if there was a constellation for Quidditch

Suddenly she spotted one of the chasers were down and there was a bludger aiming towards Streams. Yelling for the huffie beater to watch out. She looked to see if Schuyler was O.k.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

The slytherin beater seemed to have a: I-have-a-plan kind of look on his face. Frowning, she inched closer to see if Streams had heard her warning.

Sighing in frustration she flew over to see for herself and suddenly the quaffle came hurtling out of the air and smacked her right in the stomach.

Slightly out of breath, she managed to grab her broom and the quaffle as she wobbled. Looking up she saw that Rocky was still looking like someone with a plan…

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Streams grinned down at her bludger as she watched another come pelting towards her. "This is where we say farewell, m'dear," she murmured, "and go back to playing volleyball."

With a simple flick of the wrist, she sent the bludger she had been playing with hard to the left, then zoomed after it and whacked it again. Then she sent it in the general direction of the Slytherins, not really caring whom it hit.

The other bludger, meanwhile, was fast catching up to her. She barely had time to do a loop right before it smashed her skull. "Whee!" Streams yelled as the Bludger passed by so close, it nearly got tangled in her robes. But still, her head was undamaged.

Kaytii sees etta givving kaytii thumbs up soo kaytii nods back.

kaytii flew round keeping an eye out for bludgers as thegame unfolds and huffie scores a few goals but kaytii is mostly keeping her eye out for the littlest ball off the game the snitch..

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Smiling shakily Schuyler gripped her broom a little more tightly to regain what little balance she had left. Warily glancing back at Rocky, she hoped that no more bludgers were going to come into range with her. For some reason, though, he looked like he was thinking to hard to mean anything good was going to happen.

“Everyone should have a bat to hit things with...” She muttered under her breath, frowning.

Swinging up next to Dragon, Schuyler looked worriedly at her for a moment, hoping that she wasn't to wobbily to continue the game.
