| I think that Neville is one of the main characters which has gone through a major development in his character throughout all of the books.
I think that we will see him in a major plot development in the final book and possibly things coming up to do with the prophecy and him. I think that he will play a huge role in the final battle as well, although I only have slight theories at the moment.

| Neville's future is really very hard to predict. He started out small and scared (possibly becasue of what Bella did to his parents) but we've seen huge emotional growth in him. He is an amazing charector. About his past, where was he when the Lestrnages tortured his parents? | |

| I can't believe there is not much more of a discussion of Neville. I think at first Neville was seen as a sort of joke character but he has developed so much more and it is quite unbelievable. I think he will be determined to help Harry in the next book and I think he will also get his revenge on Bellatrix. He has always been a loyal friend of Harry's and I think that maybe Neville might die in the next book though I hope not. I truly think that he will live up to his family's name | |

| I was so scared for Neville when I saw all those brusises and stuff when he meets the trio. He was so brave and I was glad that he was able to get the room of requirement to work. Also when Voldemort asks him to join him i was worried about what was going to happen when he said no. I'm so glad that he surivived and was able to be Herbology Professor. | |

| I love the character change of Neville throughout the series. I am rereading the series and it's hard to believe that the little boy who had been crying over his toad on the Hogwarts Express was the one to cut Nagini's head off. Neville was always terrified in the first year and cried easily... but he also did show some bravery. He told Malfoy off at the Quidditch Match and helped Ron fight, he risked getting detention to warn Harry that Malfoy was going to tattle on him and then he stood up to the trio in the end. So he wasn't exactly a wimpy character. But there was still a major change from first year to seventh year. I couldn't believe it when I read half the stuff he had done and I got excited when he cut Nagini's head off. | |

| Neville is probably the character who matures the most. In the first book you see some bravery when he stands up to his friends, then in the seventh when he chops off Nagini's head! He helped rid the world of Voldemort! I think he would have to have had some guts to have lead a little resistance in Hogwarts against the Death Eaters, and he is seriously one of my favorite characters! | |

| Yeah, Neville defiitely matured the most! Compare him from the 1st (The majority of it) to the seventh and you definitly see it! | |

| Ahh! I love Neville! I agree with everyone here. He really devloped as a character from the small, nervous kid his was at eleven to such a strong character in the seventh book. I love the fact that he took over for Harry in running the DA. And he got his moment of glory by standing up to Voldemort and killing Nagini. He's definitley one of my favorite characters. | |

| I love that he was intertwined into the prophecy as him possibly being the chosen one. That's one thing that I've always wondered about Neville. Would the end be the same if Voldie had chosen him instead of Harry? Obviously it wouldn't be the Harry Potter series, but it's an idea.
I think out of all the characters (besides our trio), he was my favorite because he did have to do so much growing throughout the books. I like how they showed his love for herbology too! The actor who plays him did a really good job portraying Neville's characteristics (in my opinion).

| Yeah, that whole idea of Neville possibly being in the prophecy is so intriguing. Though, I must say, I love the fact that Voldemort went for the half-blood rather than the pure blood And I love his love for herbology, too! I'm glad he ended up becoming the herbology professor. | |
