Neville

When Neville stood up to his friends, it was like a turning point for him. He was no longer a weak and quiet person and I think that this moment perhaps paved the way for later heroics. Throughout the other books, Neville seems to get more bolder, so perhaps this was the instance that helped that. Will this pave the way for Neville to help in some important way in the last book?

What do you all think on the Neville subject?

Duude I am wonderin something about Neville. Now I may be way off on this but is it possible that Neville could be the chosen one? I mean he and Harry do have a lot of similarites. ~shrugs~ But hey just a thought. So anyway, I will have to think more on this subject later. I am gonna research some stuff.

Well neville could have been the one the original prophecy spoke about.Perhaps if voldy went after him - neville would have been stronger from the start. I do think that he will play an important role in the last book and as you said, i reacon that it all started from that moment in this book

nevs has gotten stronger in every book and i think he is going to play a very im portant part in the last book.nevs would have been stronger if he was chosen because voldemort gave sme f his power to harry makin harry a better wizard.

I think it was Dumbledore that confirmed that Neville was not the chosen one so to speak as it had been Voldemort who had made harry the chosen one, or his equal and now it is harry the prophecy is about.

But...I am glad that i am not alone in my thinking that something is to become of neville in the last book which has grown from here.

I am impressed at how far Neville has come. He's shown a slow build of strength and I feel that he will become very powerful. He's growing up and taking a stand. I like his character.

Yeah I really think that Neville is not the chosen one...however, Neville probably will be more active in the 7th book because he's gain more (although still not too much) confidance with each progressing book. Also helping the Trio do things may have helped him become more active...

OKay you guys were right, I looked it up in the book and it states that Neville wasn't the chosen one and that the one in the prophecy is harry. So then, now we have to wait till it is fulfilled. :D

Personally, I think that Neville will stand up to Draco in the finally battle and end up kicking Draco's asterisk. :D

But I don't think he'll live past the 7th book....But he'll definitely go out in a blaze of glory and make his parents and his grand mother proud!!

I think he'll be one of the characters who survive, actually.

But the only person who holds all of the answers is JKR and she's keeping shtum til the book comes out lol.

I think that he's going to be the "future professor" that JKR talked about.... he could teach Herbology :D

I agree, Neville could be the future Herbology teacher. He's certainly smart enough though he doesn't seem like it. He's going to play a part in the final battle with the Death Eaters. It's kinda obvious.

Neville is a charater with alot of patentioal most deffinatly, and we do actually see alot more of Neville as time goes on proving him a very important person

Yes he has potential and he could go in many different ways.

1. Battle hero who dies
2. Battle hero who lives
3. Herbology teacher

I think Neville has some hidden power in him, since he is the "almost chosen one". Maybe, his bad memory will get cleared up, and he'll remember and suddenly become Super Neville?

Super Neville? Nice i think even if he isn't Super Neville he's a vital character that we didn't really ever pay much attention to until book 5.....

Oh well, he may not end up being Super Neville but he will end up being something like...Neville-man, sidekick to Super Harry :D haha

Personally, I think Neville wil be needed in the the 7th book because he was tied with the prophecy as well. Almost. If it wasn't harry then it would have been Neville, I think he's gonna be an important asset.

i dont think neville with betray harry but i think he is more than a bumbling idiot, though i think he is capable of letting something important slip out - i mean he has done it before

I think the personality growth of Neville is a sure fire aspect in the last book. It has been growing stronger through all of the books that it is going to have to peak in the last book otherwise a lot of readers will be let down

I dont think Neville will turn evil..... He had too many bad encounters with the deatheaters and i do not see this happening.

yea but he would possess great knowledge about harry so they might keep him for a while but i doubt that it would happen

I never thought Neville would be evil but I was really scared when VOldy asked him to join his side in the seventh book. It completely took me by surprize and I thought that someone was going to put him under the imperius curse and make him say yes. I love Neville.
