13th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V SLYTHERIN: 9th-14th

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy yawned as he stepped out onto the Quidditch pitch, the grass crunching under his feet and his breath frosting on the air. The fans were starting to arrive, but he couldn't see any green or blue in the air. That suited him, in all honesty, he liked these little periods before the games started, when it was just him, his broom, his bat and the jet stream. He mounted his broomstick and kicked off from the ground, flailing widly for a better purchase as the sudden movement forward caught him by surprise.

"Should have had coffee, should have had coffee..." He muttered under his breathed, before the wind began to truly wake him up, slicing through the haze of his tiredness like a knife through butter and banishing his grogginess with the efficiency of a good <i>evanesco</i>. He slid his bat into his belt, keeping it there for safekeeping as he placed both hands upon the wooden shaft of his broomstick, leaning forwards and rolling gently to one side as he corkscrewed upwards, eventually leaning back and pulling his flight into a loop-the-loop manoeuvre.

"Boredboredbored..." He mumbled against the frigid wind that whipped against him as he circled the pitch, flying in and out of the goals while he waited for the others to arrive.

"Hey Lil," Jimmy waved sleepily, slapping himself before he turned to the newest arrival on the team.

"AAAGH!" He said, shocked as he realised he didn't recognise her, nearly falling off his broom before he righted himself. "Oh, hey Mina. Sorry, didn't know you were playing today."

They took up their positions as the captain's shook hands. Jimmy slipped his bat out from his belt and gripped it firmly in his hand as the balls were released, the blue and green forms blurring instantly as players and objects seemed to shoot everywhere at once.

"GAME ON!" He yelled, soaring towards a bludger with his bat swinging wildly around his head. "RA-RA-RAVENCLAW!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

He followed the two ladies as he curved around them in wide, reaching loops as he kept his eyes peeled for bludgers.

"AAGH!" He cried to himself in frustration as one narrowly missed Lily. "Wake up Jimmy!"

Banking, he tore after the bludger that had nearly decapitated his captain and sent it flying into the incoming Slytherin chasers with a loud crack. He caught up with Lily and Mina quickly afterwards, shifting his bat as another bludger arced towards him. This time, he pivoted at the last second, turning and striking the ball with the momentum of his manoeuvre behind the swing. It went soaring back where it came from, whistling loudly as it sliced through the air.

They approached the Slytherin goals at blistering speeds, the movement and weaving seeming like second nature to all three as they cut through the air, their brooms like bullets as they flattened themselves against their brooms.

Jimmy realised they were approaching the end game now, as Lily began to decelerate and eventually turned, making the feint look as if she were breaking.

Gotta be quick.

His eyes scanned the sky with practiced ease and he found what he was looking for in a few seconds. He broke formation instantly, his broom reacting almost perfectly to his demands as he shot past a Slytherin to reach the drifting bludger, banking his broom into a sharp turn. He stuck his bat out and almost swept the ball around with him, nudging it to the side and quickly shifting his cudgel back into his left hand before smashing it towards the keeper.

"GO LILY!" He shouted to his chaser as he gestured wildly with the bat at the streak of black that was the bludger.

Jimmy grinned at Mina, pointing at the Keeper and raising an eyebrow.

"See?" He said cockily (albeit slightly relieved). He watched as Lily scored, curving his broom around them as he swung his bat over his head.

"Woohoo! Nice one Lily, Mina!" He said, beaming at his team mates before he flew back to his starting position, screaming "GOOOOOO RAVENCLAAAAAW!" at the top of his voice.

He caught the signal from Lily and swept off after her, leaning into his broom as they climbed higher and higher. His breath began to frost on the wind again as the temperature dropped, the light of the sun behind them.

"Same routine, Lil." He called, as she sank into a dive, darting towards the Slytherin end of the pitch with the Quaffle tucked firmly into her. He flattened himself against the wooden shaft of his broomstick, the wind roaring in his ears as he began to roll the broom. Very quickly, he began to spin in tight circles around her, praying that she kept on a straight path as he wound his way about the Chaser in a corkscrew move. He began to feel himself getting light-headed from the dizziness, but he still had enough mental faculty to bat away a bludger that soared towards them. The ground was approaching ready, and he called out to Lily, hoping she could hear im in the maelstrom of wind that their wakes were creating.

"Get ready to pull out!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Wobbling on his broom as he curved away from the goals, he desperately fought to keep his eyes from crossing with the loss of equilibrium.

"Too...dizzy...can't..." He mumbled, narrowly avoiding an errant bludger as he turned in the other direction to that which he'd been corkscrewing in, righting the balance in his head. "Whew. Let's do that again!" He grinned childishly. "Great shot Lily, nice takedown Mina!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

He wheeled his broom around at Lily's words, his eyes locking onto the bludger, quickly calculating its speed and trajectory as he spared a glance towards Lily. He gunned his broom as the bludger darted past him, keeping level with it as they approached her fluttering blue form.

"Lily!" He shouted. "Move!" With another big swing, he cracked the bludger off course, diverting it towards the Slytherin Chaser in possession. "Get the Quaffle!"

Jimmy almost couldn't watch as Lily plummeted towards the hard, unforgiving ground in her pursuit of the Quaffle, sighing in relief as she pulled out of the dive with just enough space to make even Wronski blush. He set off to fly by her side, zig-zagging around her protectively, guarding her with his bat.

"You're gonna be the death of us all, Lils." He grumbled good-naturedly, his smile belying his mock annoyance as he struck a bludger away from them. "I won't be scraping you off the floor you know.

They were right by the goals now, and Jimmy suddenly braked, banking and feinting a bludger strike at the poor, longsuffering Keeper as Lily curved off on the other direction. He held his breath for the score that he hoped would come.

He smirked as he pulled his broom to a stop by here.

"See, I could help, but..." He changed tack quickly at the look she shot him. "Okay okay okay, take my hand!"

As her fingers threaded through his, he swung his broom upwards and around, taking Lily with him and righting her on her broomstick. He left go of her hand only to high-five her as they flew off.

"Great goal again! What's that, 40-0 now?"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

He took his position as play restarted, Slytherin in possession of the Quaffle, and a sea of green and silver began streaking towards the Ravenclaw defences. Hearing the distinctive whistle of a bludger nearby, Jimmy glanced for a moment before lashing out with his bat. The wood glanced off in a mishit as the beater cursed, watching as it moved on a path to go between the Chaser formation.

Suddenly, however, it glanced off the Quaffle in mid-air, sending the brown ball screaming upwards. Looking to his right, he called over to Lily.

"Here, take my hand! I'll give you a boost or they'll get to it before you do!" He said, outstretching his arm towards her.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

"Muahaha, you fool! Let go when I say." He cackled gleefully as he held on tightly to her before kicking his broom into a loop, pulling her along with him. They rotated once, twice, three times, Jimmy now feeling the burn in his arms.

"Alright! Let go!" He shouted, feeling her fingers relax against his before he himself let go, sending her shooting upwards towards the black speck in the distance. He ducked suddenly as a bludger came zooming at his head, feeling it skin his hair as he barely avoided it.

"Oi!" He shouted, waving his bat. "Who did that, then?" He began to fly after the ball, after shouting a message of good luck up to Lily.

"Woohoo!!" Jimmy pumped his fist into the air as his captain caught the quaffle, wincing as she narrowly missed becoming Lily-mush against the goalhoops. She shot past if with a gust of wind and he flailed out to keep his balance.

Unfortunately, his bat connected with something solid, smashing a bludger down the pitch in the direction Lily had just gone.

"Uh oh." Jimmy paled for a moment, before gunning his broom after her. He had an idea.

"Lily!" He shouted from behind her. "Incoming! Ride its wake, you can get through the Chasers that way!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy followed closely behind Lily, pushing his broom for all it was worth as he tried to keep an eye on the bobbing, ducking and weaving ball in front of him.

"That's it, keep your distance though, they tend to...WHOAH!" Just as he was worried it might, the bludger suddenly veered off course, reversing direction almost instantly as it came ripping back towards the two Ravenclaws. Without thinking, acting on pure adrenaline and survival instinct, he launched his bat, watching as it spun through the air, finally connecting with the bludger with a dull thump, knocking it off course just enough to miss them. His bat sailed off and Jimmy frowned.

"Sorry Lils, you're on your own!" He shouted as he dived for his errant bat.

(Slytherin Beater)
Jess came in mildly crazed as a few minnutes earlier she was told that one of her best friends was dying only to find out her mother and her son were liars that just wanted to see her cry! (Ravenclaws are more evil than slytherins) But she was up and awake and ready to play now and now she had a fire to kick there bums :D.... She Hopped on her broom and flew up into the game. She was the only slytherin so far. "greatttt.." she sighed. She saw a bludger right away and tryed to decide wheather to send it to Jimmy or her mother first. The bludger mean while was getting closer and closer....

She decided her dear mother was closer, She hit the bludger with full force since she was still mad at her mother and watched as the bludger whirred after her hitting her broom and making it spin. Then to her great relief the other bludger came her way and she hit this one towards her son who was busy laughing at her reaction. So he obviously didnt see it coming and was hit in the arm....

(Ravenclaw Beater)

He couldn't help it. Lily has thrown the Quaffle, but the bludger that struck her, making her spin round and round and round was just making too funny a spectacle. He burst out laughing, the sound turning to a cry of pain.

"HahahaaaaOOOOWWWW!!" He shouted, clutching at his struck arm with a grimace of pain across his face. Narrowing his eyes, he looked up to see Jess looking smugly at him, and he tore after the bludger that had hit him. Wheeling around again, he struck it as hard as he could towards Jess, looking up just in time to see the Quaffle sink through one of the hoops.

"HAH!" He shouted, then winced again as his arm started to go numb. This wasn't good, if he couldn't use that arm, how was he going to hold onto his broom?

Psh, Lily played with a broken leg last game, get on with it.

(Slytherin chaser)


Nancy had just woken up. She got on her robes and gear, grabbed her firebolt and ran out the door.

When she darted over to the quidditch pitch she was shoked to see that the game had already started.

She mounted her broom and zoomed up into the sky. The wind felt great against her face. Flying was one of her favorite things to do. She circled in the air trying to see who had the quaffle. She then noticed that it had just flown through on of the Slytherin goal posts.

"Grrrr." She groaned to herself. She flew to the quaffle and grabbed it. She flew as fast as she could twards the left side Ravenclaw goal post.

She ducked and swirled to miss a bludger that had almost taken her head off. She still had the quaffle and was not going to let go of it that easy.

She flung the quaffle as hard as she could twards the hoop.

(Slytherin beater)

Jess looked up from lily scoaring only to be hit by a bludger in the ankle, "OWWIEEEEEEEE!!! JIMMY your so grounded for that" she yelled at him then went after that bludger wincing as the cold air bit at her hurt ankle. "ow ow ow ow oww ow ow ow" She said repeaditly. She caught up with the bludger and hit it towards lily full force maybe if she got rid of the star players the birds wouldnt have a chance. "sorry mom, blame it on your grandson" she mumbled.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy banked on his broom, ignoring the dull ache that permeated his muscles as he shot towards Lily.

He pulled the brakes on just in time, having to switch the bat to his bad arm to deflect the bludger that was about to hit her head on. The force of the impact made him drop the object with a grunt, and he didn't have time to see where the bludger had gone before he was diving after it for the second time.

(Ravencalw Keeper)

:Brunette smirked as she mounted her broom and flew towards her post in front of the Ravneclaw goal hoops. She sped up her broom when she noticed the quaffleabout to go through one of the hoops. Quickly she tucked into a spiraling bullet, zooming past the goals and caught the quaffle in her hand:

"Whoo!" she yelped in triumph. "Go Ravenclaw!" she tossed it to Lillers.

Jess growled and shot a bludger at Jimmy hopefully hitting him but she didnt have time to look because she need hit Miss Brunnette who was her sister in law because she seemed to want to block our scores (:D :D :D)(Everyone in this game is related to me) She hit a bludger towards Brunnette and waited.

Slytherin Chaserr)

~Jesse just woke up, and realized what time it was. No doubt about it that he was late for the Quidditch game. Hurrying, he threw on his quidditch clothes, grabbed his Nimbus 2006 and hurried out to the pitch to find the game had not only started but Ravenclaw had scored several times. He shook his head and then jumped on his broom and flew up into the air.~

~He tried to shake off the groggy feeling as he tried to get a fix on what was going on in the game~

~He saw Holly throw the quaffle in and zoomed up to catch it~

(Slytherin chaser)

Nancy sighed. Her quaffle shot had almost gone through but was blocked just in time. "Nice save." She shouted to Brunette, "But next time you may not be so lucky."

Nancy flew away from the Ravenclaw goal posts and sped up next to Jess. She looked at her and smiled. "You seem to be in attack mode today, keep it up!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy curved out of the way of the bludger, shooting a look at his mother before he flew towards the centre of play. He waved at Nancy as he flew past, before noticing Jesse had caught the Quaffle.

Casting about, he caught up with the Bludger that would have taken him out, before giving it a crack in Jesse's direction, watching as it arced gracefully in his general direction...

"you bet I am," She grinned at one of her fav daughters, "Your grandmum told me our captain had died and freaked me out so now Im royaly mad at her" She said nodding to Jesse who was alive across the pitch. She hit a bludger to her mother again just to show her rage. "Anyways keep up the good work for you too, try to fake holly out."

(Slytherin Chaser)

~Jesse tossed the quaffle to Nancy just before being smacked good with a bludger sent by the infamous Jimmy! He knew that would hurt a bit but well he shook his head trying to steady himself once more ~

(Slytherin beater)
Jess saw that her talking had made her miss the bludger that hit Jesse..
she sped over there "Sorry Jesse" She said hitting the bludger that had just hit him towards Jimmy, then of course she had to make a good joke out of it, "Oh first you tell me hes dead then you try to MAKE him dead?" she laughed, "I see how it is Jimmy"

(ravenclaw Keeper)

:Brunette ducked out of the way from the oncoming bludger, she could feel it graze the back of her neck as it went by. She looked around the field, hovering back and forth in front of the goals.:

(Slytherin chaser)

Nancy smiled as the quaffle flew right into her hands. "Great throw." She said smiling at Jesse.

Nancy flew with all of her strength twards Brunette and the middle goalpost. She circled left, then right, then left again trying to confuse Brunette on which hoop she was going for. She made a sharp turn to the right and noticed Brunette heading twards that direction. She then cut her broom sharply and flew all the way to the far lefy goal post at lightening speed and threw the quaffle with all of her might.
