What Will You Do On Release Night?

I'm interested to know what everyone will do when DH is released. Will you pre-order it as soon as the release date is announced? Have you already pre-ordered it, with no release date in sight?

Will you go to a midnight opening, or go the next day to the book shop?

Depending on when the book is released (and if this clashes with when I am abroad next year), I will be pre-ordering it pretty much as soon as the release date is announced, then going along at Midnight to get my copy.

This is what I've done for the past two books - I pre-ordered it from Waterstones as soon as I could, then we went at Midnight (well, 10.30ish) to wait in the queue to get the book.

I'll then stay up all night reading, I think :D

Well, this is the first time for a realease dat that I've entirely been head first into the fandom. When HBP was released i was "obbessessed" with the books, but i wasnt involved with the fandom. I didnt check Mugglenet or Leaky, I didn't know about how big the fandom really is. Then, I dived in headfirst. So this year, I'm gunna preoreder it, then go to the Border's release party most likely. It depends on when it is... I go to summer camp, and I am in school so it depends...

Hmmm...well it depends on the day of the week it falls on. If I have school then I have to wait until the weekend if it's during summer break then I'll be up at midnight waiting on line. But, around here in my town...Harry Potter isn't that big. So, I won't have to wait that long until I get the book.

Then, I'll spend the next days locked in my room reading. I'll only come out for food and bathroom breaks! lol, that's what I did when HBP came out. My family didn't see me for two straight days! :D

Last time, I pre-ordered at a local bookshop, and that's probably what I'll also do this time. I'll just have to check if I'm in Romania or in Poland when DH comes out to know where I pre-order it. And in any case, I'm going to pick it up first thing in the morning and then - just as Holly - I'm gonna lock myself in my room and read read read! :D

I don't think I'll go to a midnight launch party. My problem is, I don't really have any mad HP fans around myself who would go with me. I mean, there are people who like it but dunno if any of them would sacrifice their sleep for Harry.

Release night I'm gonna go to one of those all night parties at the local movie/book store and stand in line for eight hours playing games related to Harry and drinking butterbeer. I'll probably be there with my boyfriend if I get one who likes harry and maybe Gary, who knows

I've pre-ordered it from Play already so it's a cert I'll have it on the actual day it is released. My 25 year old brother will most likely be dressed up outside WHSmith yet again. I, for one, would rather not stand outside. I'd rather have it delivered to my door where I can then read it in the warmth of my own bed ! :D

Well! I will be heading off into town in a few hours to preorder my copy (and another 3 copies since my aunt nd mate want one and there is NO WAY ON THE PLANET that john is goign to read DH before me) i love the feeling of being in town with loads of other HP fans and waiting together, everyone is so excited everyone is chatting away, and then the ncie ppl from WHSmith come out nd give us sweets and drinks and when we buy the book we get a special goody bag nd hopefully like the OotP book release i will be first nd get my certifacte stating that!

I CAN NOT WAIT!

I will preorder it and will read it right away. for one, dont want anyone telling me what happened.

I have alredy pre-ordered mine. I think it was Barnes and Nobles. Yes, it was. Well, when it comes I will surely read it until I'm completely finished with it. I have this peeve that when I start a book, I can not stop and read the rest the next day. I have to continue until I have done reading it. Even if I do have to stay up all night. XD

Nothing for me

I work in a cafe and my shift starts really early in the morning to cater for everyone on their way to work. I did try and book the day off work but nothing doing, and so although I'd really like to go to a midnight release and stay up all night reading I won't be able to because I'd be falling asleep at the coffee pot the next day!

I think what I'm going to do is order it from amazon and have it delivered to my Mum's house, so then after work I can drop in and pick it up, then stay up reading until I'm done!

I'm quite scared though that I'm going to get spoiled on what happens, becausr the cafe is in a busy shopping area, and so we'll have people in and out all day - and there's a bookshop opposite as well, so imagine if I get a stream of people in and out all day who have the book with them! It'll be a nightmare.

I suppose I could pop over to the bookshop on my first morning break, but there's always the chance they'll have sold out by then...

Guh, it'd all be so much easier if I could get the day off work!

Well first I need to make sure my mom pre-orders it for me otherwise I will be at home, no computer, watching old movies repeating to myself "I cant go online and read spoilers, I can't, I can't."

But if she does/did pre-order it like I asked then I will squeeeeeeeeee, jump around in circles saying "I GOT THE BOOK!! ITS THE FINAL BOOK!!!!OMG!!!"

Then I will likely go in my room where I have set up all food I might need while reading, A nice sandwhich, tea, apple, water bottle, etc. I will lay on my bed and cuddle up under the blankets and begin reading.

Pretty much what I did with book 6 except when reading book6 i didnt have food....I was in the room near the kitchen.

I'll probably just go to Barns and Nobles that night and get in line for the book XD last time I preordered it but it didnt really make a difference. Then I'll just go home and most likely stay up all night reading again lol thats what I did for the other books and I'll just read straight through...read Goblet of Fire within 9 hours! XD then I had to reread it again of course to make sure I got all the facts right...so yeah lol

Well, I do not trust paying any online. So I shall be standing in line at Barnes and Noble awaiting to get my book. I usually get there around 6pm to beat the large crowds. I did that last year and was at the front of the line.

I preordered mine from Books-A-Million and I'll probably get there around ten o'clock or so, armed with a large coffee and ready to stand in line. Then I'll go home and hopefully read straight through without even sleeping.
