Book 7 Release date!

A valid source that is a good friend of mine and a manager at Waldens Books has informed me that the rumored date for the HP book 7 release is July 15th. The reasoning behind this date. That day is a black out date for all employees. aka. Anyone seeking that day off WILL NOT GET IT AT NATION WIDE STORES! aka, Nation Wide. No Waldens Books employees may have July the 15th off. Short of A family emergency, or illness that deems you unable to work with a complete doctors note. Now, this is all the Information I have, It may be another book releaseing. But the fact that the Corperate offices of Waldens Books are not allowing anyone off on that date should be enough of an Insight to the fact that this is MORE THAN LIKELY (again, not deffinate, but best guess) the release date for Book 7



So, i thought i'd check with a friend who works for WHSmith. She managed (god bless her) to find out that NONE of their employees are allowed time off work on the 14th,15th and 16th of July 2007. So could we have an actual release date? i'd like to think so.

ooh it sounds possible, although as said, they are not entirely reliable sources, but this is the closest we have. Thanks for the info

wow, thats exciting! It does sound like something BIG would be happening that day.... well, we'll have to wait and see! But it does sound reasonable.

it does sound possible *dances around in excitement* but could it be for another book? i hope not!

I cant think of any other books which demand such attention as the Harry Potter books causing this much fuss. My friend isnt happy as she thinks she'll be roped into working the midnight selling because, well, its a Friday night and she likes to party. But, fingers crossed, two major book shops on either side of the atlantic telling staff they arent allowed time off is a big clue. Unless of course they are both having major stock takes but even i know that stock takes (here anyway) happen during the day while the shop is open to customers *mumbles about trying to count clothes while customers are pushing you out of their way* Anyway not long to wait!

UPDATE ON RELEASE DATE:

TLC are reporting today that the Scholastic Magazine have said July is when the next book will be released. From the magazine:

"Next July, bookstores across the country will be stocking their shelves with the seventh and final installment of what may be the most popular book series of all time: Harry Potter."

Of course, this is still unconfirmed, but it's coming from Scholastic - one of the publishers of HP, and there's no "when the next book *might* be released" in that short extract.

Are we looking at another July release then do you think?

EDIT: TLC have updated again to say it's not an official scholastic magazine, it's simply a book magazine used in school.

Its still something Amy, and with what my friedn has told me, and what others r saying it seems to be certain almost.

I would hate to work in a book shop that night. i really want to be there for opening but i doubt ill be able to

I am even more excited about its release now, if that is at all possible!
