You know...the announcement of the book's release date is sort of bittersweet.

It's great, because we'll finally know all the answers, but at the same time...this is the end of Harry Potter, the last time I'll get to go to a midnight opening, the last time I'll ever read a Harry Potter book for the first time.

I never understood why dividing the time into days rather than months is supposed to make it seem like less. I mean, basic math: what's more, 6 or 169? why does 169 make you feel better than 6?

6 months seems longer to me because I relate moneths to being long whereas I realte days as short so 169 days doesn't seem as long. Ok I have strange logic. Don't ask me XD

and btw how come no one cared to correct me on my spelling of confirmed? i put COMFIRMED *goes off to make the change* honestly i think i screamed a bit when i found out, i only discovered it because i was on the teletext waiting for someone to come nd visit me and then BANG and im like ahhhhhh and really its not that far away, by the time we've done the scrapbook, saw the film and screamed some more we'll have the book in our hands, now hands up all of those ppl who have a preorder? *hand is half up* im going to get mine in a few hours.

EDIT: It was recorded in the Sun today that JK Rowling left a clue on Death Hallows.
It is reported that she finsihed writing the book 3 weeks ago according to a clue she left in a hotel room, she is said to have scribbled in lack marker on the back of a marble bust in Edinburghs 5* Balmoral Hotel. It reas: "JK Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the DEathly Hallows in this room (652) on 11th Jan 2007"

JK's rep has confirmed that she was penning the book at the hotel, sooooooo hands up all those who find this hilarius? Our very own fravorite author is a graffiti artist :D and now hands up all those who want to go and stay in said room? *raises hand for both*
