VALENTINE'S DAY: Drabble Challenge

To celebrate Valentine's Day, your challenge is to write a drabble full of romantic fluff! However, there is a catch...you must write a drabble for the ship you like the least.

A drabble is a short, self-contained fanfiction, of around 100-300 words. This means that your entry for this challenge must be between these limits. No less than 100 words, and no more than 300.

This was hard I couldnt figure out whic ship I like least. But I decided it was Harry and Hermione. They just don't seem that great of a combination.

This was definitly a challenge seeing as it had to be short and about some people I dont like together.

It was a cold, snowy day at Hogsmeade. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all walking around Hogsmeade.

Lately Harry had been noticing more and more, of the little things Hermione did. Like the way she chewed on the end of her quills when she was thinking hard on a school assignment. Or when ever she passed an exam her eyes would twinkle.

“I promised I would go meet Neville at Honeydukes. Later!” Ron left, walking into Honeydukes.

“So, how are your classes going?” asked Harry.

“What do you think Harry?” Hermione answered and giggled.

Harry gave a snicker, “Yeah I know you are passing them all.”

Hermione looked over to Harry and Harry turned his face towards hers and their eyes connected.

All of a sudden she started to trip, but Harry quickly caught her. There bodies were close and Harry then kissed her. She kissed back.

You know I hate doing this…but all anything for Gryffindor. XD

Remus was looking through his cards; he had received more cards this year than in all the previous years put together. As he examined one he saw something in the corner….it was shockingly small but it looked like a paw-print. Hope shot through him and he grabbed the other cards. Looking in the corners of all the different cards he saw certain words in some of them: ‘fireplace’, ‘meet’, ‘12.00’, ‘love’. Never feeling so happy in his entire life he jumped up from the bed and went to meet Sirius. But then he decided to be rational and wait…he didn’t want to look like a fool. He waited patiently for midnight but the day passed agonizingly slow and it didn’t seem like anything had changed between him and Sirius. At exactly midnight he went down to the fireplace, he wished he knew if he was going to be there but because he and Sirius didn’t share a dorm he wouldn’t know. As he descended the stairs he saw Sirius looking into the fire and his heart leapt with joy.

Sirius turned and saw Remus looking at him. Finally he thought the moment I’ve been waiting for. As he opened his mouth to speak he felt the air rushing out of him and could only croak “Remus.” Remus walked over…and looked up into Sirius’ eyes. Sirius brought his mouth close to Remus’ and hesitated. He felt Remus bringing his mouth in and they kissed passionately. Suddenly they heard laughter from the stairs. James was sitting there clutching his sides. “You can have puppies!” he said and fell into hysterics. Glaring at him for ruining the moment Sirius bent down and whispered in Remus’ ear. “I love you.” And Remus replied: “So do I and I always will.”

Omg that was awful! :S and I hate Remus/Sirius. mneh..hope its mushy enough

The relationship I dislike the most would probably have to Cho Chang and Cedric Diggory, because why would anyone choose Cedric over Harry? Anyway, here's my drabble. I thought that 300 words would be easy, but I went way over! It took forever to widdle down, but here it is:

Cho Chang flipped her long black hair away from her right shoulder and sighed. All any of her friends could talk about was the Yule Ball. Cho was afraid that if they all just kept talking about it, then no one was actually going to be invited . She'd seen Harry Potter looking at her in a determined way, but too afraid to approach. Cho was mildly flattered.
Just then she caught the eye of Cedric Diggory. His perfectly chiseled features made her stomach feel funny. He was looking right at her!
"Mari!' she whispered, "Cedric is watching, I think he wants to ask me. Will you guys please, please go away!"
Marietta looked at Cedric, and giggling, lead the other girls away . Cho's cheeks felt on fire, she was sure she looked awful. Still Cedric smiled shyly walked over to her.. The roller coaster that her stomach was on suddenly took a series of wild loops.
"Hello, Cho."said Cedric, looking a little pink himself.
"Hi". Ugh, how lame!
"Um, yeah, Yule Ball? It's coming up. You probably know that, I mean, of course you know. It was announced at breakfast this morning. I was wondering if you'd mind going with me? I just..."
"Yes!" She shouted, cutting him off. She clapped her hands over her mouth, embarrassed. Cedric gave a happy laugh. Slowly she took her hands down and joined him in his laugh.
"So, it's a date?"
"It's a date" she agreed.
Cho floated to Potions class. The Yule Ball with Cedric Diggory! No doubt they'd get married and have a dozen children.This time, when she passed Harry in the hall, she didn't even give him a thought. She was too busy daydreaming about Cedric.

Awww. This is not particularily good, but mehh... I'll let you make your own impression about it. Some people, amby for example, might be delighted to read such apparent dedication to this particular ship. But we all know it's a joke so.. *sticks tongue out* XD Anyway, I'll cut the introduction and let you read the following:



It was a bright Saturday afternoon and Hermione was reading in the library, as usually. But she couldn't concentrate and kept staring at the clock on the wall. As soon as it showed twenty minutes to four o'clock, she hastily packed her books and ran out, knowcking down a pile of books. She ran as fast as she could down the stairs, through the entrance hall and down the path leading to a little garden behind the greenhouses.

She sat down on a bench, trying to recover from all that running. She was still 10 minutes early, so she leant back and gazed into the sky.

She suddenly felt somebody slowly apporaching her from behind. She didn't turn around, though, as she recognised that careful step to belong to her one and only, Harry.

Indeed, it was him. He bent over the bencha dn around her and kissed her smoothly. She closed her eyes. Oh, she had been waiting for this so long! They had to hide from their colleagues the whole time, especially from jealous Ron, but now they had time for themselves.
Harry smiled, looking into her eyes. "Hi. I've got something for you." He then sat down on the bench, leaning his broom onto it. He was still in his Quidditch robes and he was slightly sweaty after team practise, but Hermione didn't minda bit. She stroke his hair.
"Yes? What?"
Harry shouted "Accio!" and a small, pink package dashed from under a nearby bush. He handed it to Hermione.
"For me? Harry, I - "
"Open."
Hermione nervously fumbled with the ribbon, trying to get it open. She finally succeded and what she saw there made her "Harry, I love yoooouuuu!", because she had just received a necklace with a red half-heart.
"See? I have the other half," Harry said and showed it to her, then kissed Hermione passionately.

This is my least favorite ship by far but I will write it anyway to submit it here. *cringes* So here goes my attempt of a bit of romance between Remus/Bellatrix

UNFORSEEN PASSION

The final battle was almost over and Bellatrix had switched sides, fighting for the side of the Order. She had come to understand that the Dark Lord's ways were not what she had originally thought them to be. Many Death Eaters had fallen and many from the Order as well.

Voldemort was still alive but he was very weakened. He crossed paths with Remus Lupin who was teamed up with Bellatrix. The Dark Lord was so furious by this change in her loyalties he lashed out at the first person he saw, Remus. As Bellatrix saw the Dark Lord go after him she threw herself infront of Remus, shielding him with her own body. She was not sure why she was doing this but she just felt it was her duty. Remus pointed his wand at the Dark Lord and uttered "Stupify" which stunned the Dark Lord long enough so the other members of the Order could capture him and take him away.

The two lay on the ground. Badly hurt but still alive. Remus was shocked to say the least at Bellatrix's sudden noble act of saving him. He slowly turned his head to look at her. The two locked eyes for several moments and then Bellatrix moved her lips closer to his.

Remus could feel her sweet breath on his face and something in him just told him this was right. He leaned into her pressing his lips to hers and the two shared a most passionate kiss. Both of their hearts racing with this new desire for eachother. Two people so different, yet in these dark times, they became two people that had found some common ground. Their passion for one another that seemed to blossom in those few moments. Coming together as one.

I'm doing harmony, becasue I think that there ship doesn;t make sense so here it goes.. and the format is diffrent its a letter from Hermione to Harry. If I need to rewrite it let me know.

I must confess my true lovef or you. Your green eyes shine so brightly, that when I look at you they are all I can see. Your wit and charm maek you unresisitable to my heart, I just can't live a day without you. Remember all those times when I was walking all alone in the woods with you searching for horcruxes? Well whenever we do that, I jest want to grab your hand and hold it for all eternity.

I can't imagine how Ginny got away from you, well maybe its becasue were meant to be, and she knows it. With your courage and bravery, and my brains we can do anything together. I know we have wasted countless years on useless puppy-loves, but all that it over now and I am ready for you to open up to the possibilty of your love.

I know this may all seem so sudden, but its really hard to imagine what we weould be like with out each other. After all, its been you and me to the end. We did the time turner together and what a romantic evening that was. We went to the potion room when we went after Quirell in the first year, and now I want to share a love potion with you. In fifth year we got threw OWLS together, and I know I did so well becasue of you.

Now were older and things have changed, but not between us. I can't tell you in person becasue I know Ron would be jealous. But that doesn't matter to me anymore. I melt when I hear you talk and when you show how brave you really are, I know I want you to be by my side forever.

Hmm. I generally dislike all ships involving staff, but I consider Snape/Hermione to be especially…eww…so I wrote them for this. Enjoy if you like this sort of thing and gag if you don’t.



Hermione shivered as a gust of wind swept by, riffling her hair. It was unusually cold out, the sort of chill that puts an ache into every part of your body if you don’t keep moving. She jittered one foot for a few minutes and then started pacing back and forth. She had agreed to go on a blind date, after Ginny insisted.

Neither of them had any idea who the mystery guy was, but he had been leaving her sweet little notes for a month now, and Hermione couldn’t help but be intrigued. When he had written a request to talk face to face, Hermione’s first instinct was to say no. But she really wanted to find out who it was, and Ginny had finally convinced her that this blind date could end up being a good thing.

So here she was now, waiting on the edge of the Forest in the freezing cold, wondering if her ‘date’ would show. She bit her lip nervously and closed her eyes, trying to relax.

“Hello.”

Her eyes flew open and then she went very still. Her mouth opened and closed a few times before she spoke. “Professor Snape…I know it’s after hours, sir…but I am a prefect, and I thought…”

She fell silent when she realized that Snape was staring at her in a way no professor should ever stare at a student. “It’s alright, Hermione,” is what he said, his voice soft as a snake’s hiss.

“But…did…what…I don’t—”

Hermione was still desperately trying to figure out what was going on when Snape bent and covered her lips with his own. He pulled her close, and as her arms slowly went around his neck, she realized that she was still icy cold, but didn’t mind at all.

Hermione reckoned Valentine's Day was celebrated in February to lighten the gloom of the long winter months. She also reckoned it was a load of balderdash. Which is why she was finding it very difficult to put up with what appeared to be a constant stream of owls flying into the Great Hall that morning, laden with Valentine’s cards and gifts.

You’re just bitter because you’ve not been sent anything. She frowned, and told the voice in her head to shut up, then groaned and buried her head in her hands.

“Alright, Hermione?” Ginny said, from across the table.

“Nothing,” Hermione muttered, and sighed, raising her eyes upwards. As she did, she saw an owl headed towards her, a single sheet of parchment clutched in its claws. It landed in front of her, dropping the parchment before flying away.

Tentatively, Hermione opened the note, and gasped as she read it.

Dear Hermione,

I’ve liked you for some time, but have not had the courage to tell you. Meet me in the astronomy tower after breakfast so I can finally tell you how I feel.

Curiosity piqued, she jumped up, and tucked the note away before hurrying to the tower, thoughts of ‘who could it be?’ rushing through her mind.

She eventually reached the tower, and paused just outside, suddenly nervous. Brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear, she pushed the door open and sucked in a breath as she saw Harry standing by the window, a sheepish smile on his face.

“So, you got my note?” He said, and Hermione nodded, not trusting herself to speak. “Well, um…” he continued, but before he could say anything more, Hermione rushed over and kissed him, slipping her hands into his hair.

So, she thought, perhaps Valentines Day isn’t so bad after all.

A/N: Well that was hard to write...Harry/Hermione is my most hated ship and it almst pained me to write that last part :D

I have never felt about any other girl like this. I still remember that kiss you gave after the Quidditch game against Slytherin. Of course, it was an act of joy and I just happened to be there. Yet, that was the happiest moment of my life. But then, all those times in the Astronomy Tower... you and me, together. I know you feel something for me! Lily, I love you, more than life itself. And I know that James loves you too, but there's no one who can love you more than I do. I love you, Lily. Will you please be mine?

If the answer is a no, I will turn my back to love...

Peter put down the quill and stood up, holding the letter in a tight grip. Suddenly, he heard laughter appear into the abandoned Common Room as James and Sirius rushed in, Lily in a embrace between them. Peter gave Remus a quick glance, who looked mildly surprised.

"Moony, she said yes!" James said excitedly and Sirius danced around. James picked Lily up and kissed her lovingly, and Peter felt his heart sink.

She said yes... to what?

"You're looking at the new Mrs Potter!" Sirius said happily and pointed at Lily.

For a second, Lily's emerald green eyes connected with Peter's. Peter saw the sadness in them, but he couldn't help but noticed the possibly happiness there.

As everyone else celebrated loudly, Peter turned his back to them, the woman he loved, and dropped the letter.

That day was written down in history as the happiest day of many people.

But also the day Peter turned his back to love...

Hermione ran out onto the grounds tears falling freely. Though you couldn’t tell as it was raining heavily. Today was Valentine’s Day and everyone else was inside in their common rooms with their loved ones and here she was out here. The problem could be pinned to now ex-boyfriend Ronald Weasely, who had just broken up with her. She let her thoughts drift and didn’t notice that someone walked up to her.

“Hey.” said a voice she knew well.

“Go away Malfoy.” She glared through her tears.

“No. Where’s your boyfriend?” He asked.

“He broke up with me if you must know.” She replied bitterly.

“Well that was stupid of him,” Draco stated.

“No it was smart. After all I’m just bookworm know-it-all Hermione Granger.” Hermione told him looking down as more tears began to fall.

He pushed her chin up so that she was looking at him. “No it was stupid. Because you are amazing.”

“What do you-” She started but was cut off as his lips were pressed unto hers. At first it was awkward, but she quickly melted into the kiss and let her hands run through his hair. After a few minutes he broke the kiss.

“Happy Valentine’s Day Hermione.” Draco whispered.

“Happy Valentine’s Day Draco.” Hermione whispered back as she kissed him once more.

Harry was getting very nervous he’d been planning this dinner for months. Ginny had absolutly refused to date him again after he broke up with her on the following of Dumbledore’s death. He regreted it later and asked for forgiveness but she didn’t budge. Hopefully she’d finally gave in to him tonight.
Harry reached the Gryffindor common room and spotted her. Walking straight to her Harry felt like his legs’d betray him. When he reached her she pretend not having noticed his presence.

“Erm... Ginny would you mind going with to someplace?” he asked.

She ignored him a few moments before saying briskly “Where?”

Harry blushed “Well... erm... it’s a surprise can’t you just come with me?”

“No!” she repplied before he had time to finish.

“Please?” Harry beg with watering eyes.

“Fine! Let’s go! God forbid me from making the Boy Who Lived cry!” she said and got up.

Harry guided Ginny to the room of requirement. When they finally arrived he passed through the wall three times thinking ~Please arrange a romantic dinner for me and Ginny~ till a door appeared on the wall.

The room was decorated with candles and rose petals. In the middle there was a small low table and next to it was Dobby dresses as a waiter. Ginny didn’t said anything but sat in one of the pillows round the table.

Harry sat on the opposite pillow and asked “So do you like it?”

Ginny bit her lip “Well ... this was not really made for you but I can’t deny it’s a lovely gesture” while saying this she grabbed his hand beneath the table and smiled.

Harry felt so relief “Do you forgive me then?"

“Of course you silly boy, I never stopped loving you”.

Both leaned over the table and kissed.

"For you." came the subtle voice of a tall young Slytherin male, Gregory Goyle, as he held out a dozen red roses wrapped in luminous shining paper towards a figure partly hidden in the shadows. He'd waited for nearly a year and now with it being a special day, Valentine's day, he was revealing what he'd held in his heart to a special someone in his life.
"For...me?" squeaked a voice as the figure of a pudgy boy stepped forward.Vincent Crabbe.
Goyle's eyes lit up and nodded as his features softened and a soft pink tint appeared across his cheeks.
Crabbe's eyes sparkled with a radiant hue, his large, round fingers nervously trembling with anticipation as the tall boy leaned forward.
He closed his eyes and then felt Goyle's lips slowly touch his, sending a spark through his large, pudgy body. And Crabbe no longer holding back his feelings began to kiss him back slowly.
After indulging in each other's passionate embrace, Goyle pulled back to stare into the pudgy boy's eyes.
"Crabbe..." He whispered with such need and desire.
"Yes?" Crabbe replied, breathlessly.
"Can I keep you?" Goyle asked with his eyes twinkling with the deepest love.
"Yes...forever." Crabbe replied, his eyes glistening with tears of joy.

Ron and Hermione is the "Ship" I like least. So here goes.....

Ron slips out of bed after everyone else has fallen asleep, and walks over to Harry's bed. He bends down and slowly opens Harrys trunk where he keeps his dads invisibility cloak. "All I need is 10 minutes" he says to himself. Walking out of the dorm, he wonders if he will be able to go through with his plan. "You can do this" he says to himself outloud as he walks towards the girl's dorms. After tonights festivities and being a complete jerk to Hermione, he's decided to go apologize and make amends.

He makes it to the entrance and hesitates. Then he remembers he's got Harry's invisibility cloak on, and walk forward. Finding Hermione's bed, he sees that she's not asleep like the rest of the girls in the room. He slowly and cautiously walks over to her and says, “I'm sorry”. Hearing a strange boys voice she starts to cry out, but then realizes it's a familiar voice. It's Ron. “Ron?” She asks at the direction the voice came. “What are you doing in the girls dorms?” She feels herself getting angry then she stops and replays what he had just said. “You're sorry for what?” she asks the air. Silence. “Take off Harry's cloak and talk to me Ron!” Ron slowly lets the cloak fall to the floor. “I'm sorry for being a complete arse tonight at the ball. I didn't mean to ruin your date with Krum.” he says with his eyes glued to the floor. ”Don't worry about it” Hermione gives his arm a reassuring squeeze. ”It's jsut when I saw you with him, I snapped. I didn't know I cared...I couldn't stop feeling like I wanted to punch him in the face..I just felt so helpless...”

I don't write fluffy fics well for ships that I don't like, so bear with me if it's absolutely terrible, k? After all, it is Harmony...
It took me forever to shorten this drabble until it was 300 words. In the beginning, it was 528.

It's been two years since I realized my feelings, Hermione thought. That's 730 days since I stopped thinking of him as a friend and started wishing for him to be more. Hermione Granger stared out the window in the Gryffindor Common Room, watching Harry Potter practice Quidditch. She sighed; it was her I-wish-I-could-have-him-but-that's-impossible sigh.
Suddenly, Hermione jumped straight up in her window seat and pressed her face up against the glass. Harry and Ron Weasley, her other best friend, crashed in midair 10 feet above the ground. Hermione immediately ran down to the Quidditch Pitch and saw Harry lying unconscious on the ground.
"Mobilicorpus," said one of Harry's team members and Harry floated up off the ground as the spell enabled him to be taken to the Hospital Wing.
It turned out that Harry had only had a broken ankle, and though Madam Pomfrey fixed that quickly, he still had to stay in the Hospital Wing overnight. Hermione was breathless with relief at the thought that Harry would be alright. But even so, Hermione chose to sneak down to see him.
Hermione observed Harry and thought how peaceful he looked. Taking a risk that she would have avoided if Harry was awake, Hermione started to whisper. "Why do you always have to take such risks, Harry? You're always in such danger. When you get hurt Harry, it doesn't just affect you." Without knowing it, Hermione started to silently cry. “I thought you were going to die, Harry. But I need to tell you something. I’m in love with you Harry, and I know that you can never love me back, but a girl can hope, can’t she?” Hermione got up and laughed weakly. But as she walked out of the Hospital Wing, Hermione didn’t see Harry smile in the moonlight.
