Drabble Challenge 2

"Stay!" the man wearing the black cloak frantically tugged at a whimpering being
"Stop moving! I've got to get you to the Dark Lord"

the thing seem to pause for a split second then continued clawing at the man's hands that was locked on the creature's neck.

Groaning the frustration, the man took out a long wooden stick and with a small flash of red light the thing was still

Then with a pop the man disappeared from the alley.

Bowing before his Lord on the man was now holding a perfectly obedient dog.

"My lord, I finally got it to learn how to stay."

"Stay!"

Madam Rosmerta gazed curiously at the big, black dog that sat obediently at her feet, wagging his mud-crusted tail. "Are you lost?"

He blinked once, tilting his head. She could almost swear the dog understood what she was saying. Leaning closer, she saw that the dog wore no collar. A leaf danced down the empty street, carried by an icy breeze, and he shivered slightly.

"Good dog," Madam Rosmerta told him. "Stay right here. I'll be back in a minute."

She hurried inside and filled a plate with the evening special, roast chicken. But when she went back outside, smiling good-naturedly, the dog was gone.

"Stay!" exclaimed Colin Creevey as he looked through the lens of his camera. "Don't move, you look fantastic! Really scary!"

The giant squid paid no attention to the excited student, as it started to sink beneath the rim of the lake.

"No! I have to get your picture! I told my brother I would get a picture of you for him! Please stay!”

The giant squid could tell that something was bothering the small boy, and reluctantly remained above water for a few moments.

“Perfect!”

Seeing that the boy was suddenly in better spirits, the giant squid returned to the depths of the lake.

“Stay!”

Ron froze on his tracks and glared at Hermione. “What?!” he said with irritation, insulted at being addressed to as a dog.

Without warning, Hermione went closer to him. Ron gulped and his face reddened; he could almost smell the scent of her hair.

Hermione took out her wand, and with a swish, Ron blinked rapidly. Hermione handed him a mirror, and Ron found himself looking at… well… himself. “Was there something wrong with my face?”

“Well, the last Transfiguration exercise had you sporting a black and a red eyebrow,” Hermione said. “You should really try and practice, Ronald.” With that, she walked away.

Ron looked at Hermione’s retreating back, confused.

“Stay!” Professor McGonagall ordered Harry.

“Yes, Professor?”

“Potter, I’ve heard about your little outburst in Professor Umbridge’s class earlier, I must say I’m ashamed. You know that in these times we can’t go spouting our feelings all over the place. It’s too dangerous. But Potter, I’m also impressed. I’ve never seen someone stand up for what he believes like you, another characteristic of a great Gryffindor.

Harry smiled.

“BUT that doesn’t mean I am encouraging this behavior. Just be careful Potter, we need you just as much as we need every member of the Order…if not more. You may go.”

Aha. It's not very good, but bear in mind I wrote it in about...2 seconds.
Also, I'm only 4 words over, and I didn't have to cut any down!!

Harry got up to leave, this was going to be the hard part – saying goodbye to Ginny before he left to go hunt the Horcruxes. He knocked on the door and entered her bedroom. Looking into her eyes he bent down and kissed her, deeply and passionately. Breaking away he managed to choke out one word.
“Goodbye”
Ginny knew he must go but it was breaking her heart to see him leave. In a moment of selfishness she asked one thing of him.
“Stay?”
He looked back at her, the answer that she expected was in his eyes, along with the pain of parting.

"Stay!"
"What?" said Ron as looked up at Harry.
"Ron, don't move"
"What are you on about?" said Ron with a grimace.
"There's a spider in your hair" said Harry as he reached out to Ron's head.
Ron went wild, scrambling to rid the spider from his hair.
"You really are nutters, you know that right?" laughed Harry as he watched Ron dance across the room.
"Is it off?!" exclaimed Ron.
"I think you got it mate, but it's hard to tell when you won't stop moving" said Harry as he seized Ron's head.
Ron winced.
"You're good mate" said Harry.

"Stay there please," Draco said leaving a soft kiss behind in his wake. He got up from a couch leaving Ginny to stare at his back. He walked around the back of the couch and turned on some music. As he turned to join her once more he faced a wand, Harry's wand.

"Potter," He hissed.

"Malfoy," The reply was curt and sharp filled with venom that was reflexed in the green eyes. "Leave Ginny alone."

"Harry don't" Ginny started but Harry cut her off, but she continued "Harry I love Draco, not you."

The green eyes reflexed hurt, fleck with tears.

Three over but I think it was an ok Drabble

"Harry Stay!" said Ginny as she watched Harry walk away.
Harry turned around and asked her, "What's wrong?".
"Oh, nothing. I just think you forgot something," she answered as she stared deeply into his beautiful green eyes.
"Umm, I don't know what you mean. Is it my books or my Potions essay?" he asked.
" You Silly, of course not. Nevermind, go to class." She told him laughing at how clueless he could be sometimes.
Just then Harry smiled at his girlfriend knowing what she meant. He kissed her softly just giving her all the love he could give her.
"Am I forgetting something now?" he asked her.
"Definitely not." Ginny said.

That's probably the best I could do.

“Stay!” He shouted. “Please stay…”

Harry stopped and turned around. “Why?”

“I…I…,” Draco tried speaking. “I just don’t want you to go.”

“Why not? So you can talk of your disdain of Ginny more? I thought I could talk to you about this.”

Draco walked closer to Harry. “I am sorry. I…just…I know you don’t love her.”

“I do….I did…I have to.”

“No you don’t. Don’t say for your kids. They will understand. You don’t have to be with her. There are people who love you more than she does.”

“Like who?”

“Me,” Draco said placing his lips on Harry’s.
