Valentine's Dance

Dani stared at her, tempted to say she was a tradior, but resisting. Her tone was icy, "You ramalamlam," she said getting up

"I knew you couldn't handle the truth." Lily said to the girl

Dani looked back at her, "You've been betraying us, and you thought I could take that lightly?!"

"Yes." Lily said coldy.

"I thought you were my friend!" Dani said

"I am!" Lily said fiercly. She looked at Dani. Then, she stood up too, pushing her hair out of her face.

"Then why are you betraying us?!" Dani yelled back

Ebony acciod herself another firewhisky and took a swig.

'Oh god not a fight.'

Lily hurridly pushed Dani out into the hall so Sky or someone else didn't over hear them.

"I'm not betraying you. I haven't told any info or anything. I'm just on the side i like best. I like power- and i like pain. Keeps me icy."

Dani scowled, "Why? Why go back to them?"

"Go back? Huh? I was never on your side...was I?" Lily looked confused. She didn't remember this,

Dani caught on, "Stop acting stupid, you said you'd given up being a deatheater, that you hated it and only became one out of the depression you had slipped into."

She saw that Lily was giving her a blank stare, "You don't remember?"

"No. I'm sorry Dani, I'm not playing dumb. I really have NO idea what you're talking about..." Lily said feeling stupid.

Dani stared at her, she was dumbfounded, "You...but...the DA, Zexion, my father. You don't remember? But...how?"

"The only thing that stands clearly out is me waking up with a head ache in the shrieking shack the other day. With Fated and Sky. We cornered ebony and traci." Lily said rubbing her temples.

"Sky," Dani muttered under her breath. "Lily, listen to me, you don't remember because you were hit with an oblivian charm. You were really on our side once."

"I-I don't know if i can believe that. Well...i can. But i like what i am. I love pain. And as much as you don't want to hear it, Dani, I love causing pain. Making people know who it felt, even just a little, to have their hearts ripped out, like when my parents died. I need and want to cause that pain." Lily paused to look at Dani.


"The other night in the forest, i fell out of a tree and i broke a few bones. It was so- awaking to feel the pain. I want that pain. Tell you the truth- i was angry at Oddie for healing the broken bones. I need it. I feel awakened. Pain awakens others too. MAybe they'll see what i feel."

Dani was close to knocking some sense into her, she comprimised, "Why cause pain to others who don't deserve to feel it, just because your parents died, doesn't mean its the end of the world!"

"Were you close to your mother? Before she- you know died? Well, i WAS. I was close to both my parents. I got to know them for almost 17 years and i loved them so much. It was the end of the world. That world. I have started a new world." She said looking dani straight in the eye.

"People move on," Dani said hurt that her mother had been dragged into this. "You don't have to be a monster to get over pain, you don't have to do this to yourself or anyone else, if your mother was still alive do you think she'd want you to do this?"

Lily sighed. "i ah umm.....DO i look like i care? NO. I am out for revenge. Not what my mother wanted. not want my dad wanted. Let me let u in on a little secret- my mom didn't give a dang about dying. From what I've found out- she practiaclly begged to die. She didn't care that she had me or daddy. She didn't die in Azkabam. A death eater killed her. She begged him too. Daddy was the one blamed for her death- which he didn't commit." lily said trying not to cry.

"So thats the truth. MY MOM DIDN'T CARE!" she raged. Her eyes becoming very bright. her short red dress started to blow and her hair started to whip around. Her skin turned paler and a wind started in the hall.

"MY MOM DIDN"T LOVE ME AND DADDY!" she yelled in a rougher voice as she rose into the air going into a sort of trance.

She gave off a lot of electricty power- as well as magical.

Dani stared at Lily, covering her eyes the electric curant was to much.

"LILY!" she shouted, running at her and tackling her to the ground.

She didn't care that her skin was practically on fire, all she wanted to do was save her friend

Ebony suddenly stood up in shock. 'What the heck is happening?'

She had never seen something like this happen before to someone. She wasnt sure to admire it or be scared.

Lily's body faught dani and gravity. Light glowed around her and her skin felt like it was on fire. PAin city. She screamed and squirmed as she went to the ground. Then, she fell limp barely breathing and the dark mark glowed bright on her arm.

Ebony ran over to Lily with a cloth covering up her mark.

"Crap, Lily..Lily...come on get up," Ebony called.

Dani groaned in her own pain, her skin black and blue from the bolts of electricity that had bruised her skin. Her ribbs felt like they had been broken, her wolf instincts took over and started to heal her, without them she'd've been dead.

She rolled onto her side to look at lily, "Lily," she whispered shaking her friend. "Lily wake up," it hurt to talk but lily wasn't moving, Dani wasn't even sure she was breathing

Her breathing quickened and her eyes flashed open.
She tried not to cry as she remembered what had caused her to go into magical over load.

She looked at dani and where she had been burned and then noticed the dark mark on her arm. She waved her hand over muttering some spell and it was covered. She wobbily stood up.

"sorry bout the burns" she said as she looked at dani.

"I think i need a drink," she said.

Dani's eyes watered, as the pain ebbed away along with the wounds that were rapidly vanishing. She didn't look like anything had happened to her, other than the fact that her clothes were charred, and she still had minor pain in her ribs.

"Not without an explaination," she said to Lily grabbing her arm, but her strength hadn't returned yet and her grip was weak

lily stopped and turned back to her. "About that? MAgical overload. I couldn't contol my power and emotions. Thats what happens. That's why i tell people to be careful when i loose control of my powers, Dani. BECAUSe i can not control if i hurt them. Not like i care about most. But stilll. It happens sometimes and i deal with it."

"What are you doing to yourself," She said her strenght still gone, she tried to pick herself up off the floor but it was useless, her arms didn't hold her up

Lily reached down and picked helped dani up. "I'm killing my self. Slowly- but surely," she said steadying dani.

"I'm tired of being alive. PAin i crave it to keep me awake but i hate it at the same time. Because it awakens me to the truth- they're gone. they're dead and they're not coming back."

lily sighed and helped dani back to the table they had been sitting at.

Dani allowed her to steer her in that direction, the healling had taken alot out of her.

"You can't kill yourself," Dani said.

"Not trying to," Lily said. "But i can feel it. every day i am dying a little bit more. I can't handle all of this power by myself. NO ONE can. Might as well pour it out into something while i still have it," she said taking a large drink of a firewhiskey

Dani took the firewhisky out of her hand, "You know how myuch power I have you can spare more on good than evil." she reminded her

Lily shrugged. "It takes more power away- doing what i do. It's a way to burn out the power faster. " She sighed fixing her short red dress.

"So in a way you are trying to kill yourself," Dani offered

Sky smiled at Fated and whispered very quietly into his ear. "I am all done with school. McGonagall graduated me early actually. Fool she was thinking I could use my talents to help out the Order." Sky let out a evil laugh but quietly so only herself and Fated could hear it. She looked up into his eyes. "I know Sprout is coming back tomorrow, I am glad actually. I can use my free time to work on plans and spend with you." She smiled warmly at him and moved herself a little closer to him. "I am glad I decided to expose my feelings for you. It's a shame I didn't do it sooner."

She continued dancing with the very handsome Fated. She reached her right hand up to his face and gently brushed away a few strands of hair that had fallen into his eyes. Her touch was gentle. She then slid her hand around the back of his neck and gently caressed the back of his hair. She leaned into him, her soft red lips brushing against his gently, tenderly. Sky may have been a Death Eater, and an evil one at that but she did have a softer side she was willing to show Fated. She was connected to him in so many ways and she always felt this burning passion for him when she was around him, it was like nothing she had ever felt before.

After her kiss she pulled away from him slowly, just a bit, to take another look around the room. She could still see the girl from the train dancing with the head boy. She kept an eye on her for anything that didn't seem right. She knew she would have to be on gaurd, ready to strike at any sign of trouble, but she was also going to use this time to focus on Fated. She had finally told him how she felt about him and he had told her his feelings as well. Together they would be an unstoppable force in both their work for the Dark Lord and for eachother.

"Depends. I'm not sure if loosing all the power will you know kill me. If it does then, my mistake, but if it doesn't i live with just normal magical levels. Not this horrid power that i hate oh so much. I used to love it. "

"still," Dani said. "Why take the chance, but then again why stop you, why not let you run wild on the world, killing innocent people? I have a good awnser, because friends don't let friends drive drunk do that!"

"Friends don't let friends grieve for so long. I'm trying to be alright, trying to get over death. Seeing it a lot- helps." She said taking another swig of her drink

Dani took the firewhisky from her, "Haven't I tried to help," she said

"A bit and Zexion warned me not to get carried away with choosing sides- like i can remember that " she snorted and grabbed a different firewhiskey.

Dani took that one too, "Hurting yourself isn't worth it," she said taking the other bottles too. "It isn't worth it to die."

Ebony looked to Dani, "I know you want to help her Dani, but maybe you should let her deal with this how she seems fit. You can't save the world Dani. She is obviously having some problems she is trying to work out, stop badgering her."

'Maybe that seemed a little to rude.'

"If she needs you I am sure she will go to you." Ebony tried to reason.

'I remember when people used to badger me when I was trying to work through things.

Ebony then turned to Lily. "And Lily, don't be to hard on Dani she is just trying to be a friend. Yeah I don't know what your going through, but I do know what it is like to be badgered it isnt fun, but she just doesn't want to see you hurt."

Traci walked back in to see what was going on and to see if anyone noticed she was gone.

Cassidy took the glass of water from Jade. "Thanks." Then she smiled and said "Yeah, I'm enjoying it, too. You know - at least we had some action." She grinned. "I'm happy I got to know you so quickly, it would have been a boring evening otherwise. And you - you also seem to me a bit happier then when you first arrived at the party."

Cassidy winked. She was really happy to have met a girl with whom she could have so much fun - and she couldn't imagine how it would have been to be alone with those girls who thought they were something better.

"Yeah, I thought this party would be a boring little thing, but I guess I thought wrong!" ::Jade laughed.:: "So, your name is Cassidy... Cassidy what?" ::she asked.::

"Oh, Cassidy Sunrise." She rubbed her nose and grinned. "Well, I do forget all these minor things, sometimes..."

"Sunrise?" ::Jade repeated with raised eyebrows.::

"Are you Muggleborn or...?"

"Well, my dad's a muggle, but my mom's a witch. And what about you?" she asked, "who are your parents?"
