Stealth Wizard and Skyla0305 round 1

Each person will have 6 posts within a match!
Bring in as many new ways of attacking and defending as possible!
When the 6 posts each have finished – the match is finished and you will have to wait for your scores
Scores will be updated on score thread after each match marked!
The lowest scoring four people at the end of the matches will be knocked out and round 2 will commence
Only the named two people can post in the designated post.


Let the battle commence!

Being a true Slytherin, Stealth Wizard does not believe in 'ladies first'...

He strides onto the duelling platform and throws off his long black from-a-distance-I-look-like-Snape cloak. Underneath he wears the black garb of a ninja. He draws his wand from a scabbard strapped to his back and acknowledges his opponent of the evening. The wand is finished in some non reflective black substance, so it cannot reflect the candle light in an evil manner - but somehow it manages to give the impression that it is emanating a dark power.

Without waiting for any response from his opponent, Stealth Wizard reaches into his ninja robe and produces a small silver sphere, which does reflect the candle light. He smashes the sphere down onto the platform in front of him and is immediately enveloped in a dense purple smoke.

The puropse of the smoke is to prevent Skyla from seeing his wand movements.

He decides to toy with the unfortunate girl...

"Mali capilli dies!"

Oh no - it is the dreaded bad hair day hex! Guaranteed to put a real downer onto a female opponent.

He quickly follows it up with "Hillbillius totallus!"

By some, this is considered to be the fourth unforgiveable curse. It turns the recipient into a gen-you-whine Appalachian type 'kicker. The sufferer loses all interest in the world - they just want to sit on the back porch and pick a nice tune on their banjo while their Pa is workin' on up at the still, Grandma is cookin' up supper from a mess of road kill and that right purty Cousin Emmylou Bob is down by the crick wrastlin' gators.

With a satisfied grin, Stealth Wizard takes up a defencive position and waits for a response.

"Protego doubley maximus"

::Skyla puts all of her strength into the shield charm, doubling its power. Luckily, it erupted just before the second spell hits her, taking all of its force, yet the first spell made it to her. Suddenly her hair began to spiral out of control, before she shouts::

"Finite incatatum"

::The hair stops growing, yet stays a mess. Skyla mealy grins::

"It is a good job that i am not a vain girly girl" ::She says before apparating behind her opponant and shouting::

"Avis...attack"

::She watches for a moment as the birds fly towards her opponant, before shouting::

"If you can use a so called unforgivable then so can I - CRUCIO"

Stealth Wizard jumps as he feels the sudden presence of an unplanned Skyla behind him. He tries to turn to defend himself, but one of the lacings of his ninja footwear has come adrift and he trips over his own feet, going down hard.

"Bother!"

Well, it was something along the lines of 'bother' that escaped his lips. Looking up, he sees a stream of birds flowing from Skyla's wand.

"Accio cage!"

The nearest owl cage comes flying to his hand. He tries to trap some of the birds. He then realises that tripping over has saved him from agony as he sees the red flash of the Crucio follow the birds.

He grins nastily. The gloves are coming off. No more Mr Nice Guy.

Not a girly girl, eh....

"Puellissima valligurlia maxima!" and just a small flick of the wand...

This vile hex turns the recipient into a candidate for the Popular Set, a Valley Girl, totally, as if...

Stealth needs time to recover...

"Hey, Skyla, you're wearing pink and it's a Wednesday!"

As poor Skyla starts to freakout about the state of her wardrobe, the condition of her hair, the fact that she doesn't seem to have the absolute latest cellphone etc., etc. Stealth hops to his feet and points his wand.

"Distraho pumillio!"

Distract with a dwarf? What sort of appalling curse is this?

A variegated yellow and blue flame erupts from the end of his wand and Skyla is enveloped in an orange aura. It does not go well with her shoes!

"Ah - Im not a girly girl, but i am not vain with my clothes either!"

::Skyla grins again and flicks her wand::

"consecro debeo"

::The colour curse is succesfully rebounded. Skyla laughs as her opanant is now dressed in completely pink::

"Hope you like th colour pink as much as I do!...finite incatum"

::All the other spells are successfully stopped before skyla shouts::

"caecus qui"

::Skyla succesfully casts the blind eyes spell and watches as the whites of her oponants eyes begin to show::

"You are a good match Stealth Wizard, but how will you stand without your sight?"

(all latin spells that I have made up are actual latin words)

Little does the Ravenclaw lady realise that she has now played into the hands of Stealth. The wearing of the ninja costume, albeit now a pink one, is not simple vainglorious Slytherin posturing. As a child, Stealth sufferred the hardships of training in ninjutsu, the art of the shadow warrior. When one sense is removed, the others are enhanced...

Stealth opens his non wand hand and places it in front of him, seeking information from the air itself. Yes, the beginning of rotation - she is about to apparate again...

"Adhesivus maximus totallus!"

A gloppy stream of a disgusting looking viscous liquid shoots from the end of Stealth's wand. Not being able to see his target, he waves the wand from side to side like a firefighter tackling a blaze. The stream strikes Skyla and goes to work. The vile gloopy stuff wraps itself around her body, binding her arms and legs and rising as high as her mouth. It turns out to be quick setting glue.

Skyla is immobilised and slienced, but more or less humanely.

Stealth turns his wand on himself and takes the opportunity of this respite to restore his sight. He leaves the ninja suit pink, to prove that he is not colourist.

Yes, silenced and unable to move, unable to use her wand... Stealth wonders how the Ravenclaw heroine can deal with this situation before he can precisely remove enough of the glue to take her wand.

Could there be a Deus Ex Machina for the stricken girl?




(I can't help feeling that Skyla missed the point of the Valligurlius hex - it MADE her into a girly girl deliberately so that she WOULD be bothered about her hair and clothes. The second hex had her beset by a dwarf - she seems to have managed to ignore him - the orange colour was just a byproduct of the hex! You can't get out of it by just saying that a wave of the wand cancels the effect of the spell! )

::skyla begins to panic. She cant move or speak. She doesnt know how to get out of the position she is in. "Ok calm down skyla" she thinks, which gives her an idea. Concentrating hard upon the spell, and her target - herself, she attempts to cast a silent Engorgement charm "Engorgio". After a few tries, she finally manages it and begins to swell inside, loosining the gloopy binds around her. With her mouth free she manages to half point her wand at the gloop.::

"Evanesco".

Suddenly, the gloop binding her is gone.

"Finite incantatum"

::Skyla grows back to her normal size. She narrows her eyes at her oponant::

"Expeliarmus...Silencio...Petrificus totalus...flagrate..."

In the nick of time Stealth performs the ninja standing jump and flies straight up into the air.The concoction of spells flies harmlessly beneath him as he somersaults. Unfortunately they strike Professor Flitwick - but that's another story.

To gain a little time, he casts the Bat Bogey Hex while still airborne.

Ewwwww...

He lands and faces Skyla, wand extended.

"Obliviate!"

The idea is to make her forget she is duelling...

"Protego maximus"

::The shield charm blocks out the last spell thrown at her yes the bat bogey hex hits her::

"Yuk...Finite incatatum"

::The spell stops as skyla thrashes against the remaining attacking bogeys, turning back to stealth wizard, she casts the bewitched sleep charm in the hope of giving her some time to rid herself of the attacking bogeys::

The sleep spell catches Stealth square in the face. He starts to fall backwards. As he does, he mutters a trigger word that releases a series of suggestions that were implanted posthypnotically by Professor Snape just before the duelling tournament started....

"But wouldn't this be considered cheating, Professor?"

"Quiet, boy... You want to win, don't you?"

"Of course I do... But without honour..."

"Don't concern yourself about honour, Stealth. This is all about you being the one to walk away with the other wizard's wand. Nothing else matters. Now, keep still and watch my pocket watch as I swing it..."

His body sleeps, but his mind is still active....

You have already had four sallies at Skyla - each a multiple attack... You are trying to be too complicated... Keep it simple...

Various preprogrammed options stream through what remains of his consciousness, until...

Of course! How simple!

His mind gives the command, his wand hand twitches....

"Ennervate!"

He wakes and flips to his feet - a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle could not have done it better!

"Accio Skyla!"

Skyla accelerates towards Stealth. He waits until the last moment then steps aside, grabbing her wand as she flies past.

(I dont think you can call people can you? lol but I will go with it lol)

::Skyla was taken by surprise as her wand and body flies towards stealth. Suddenly her wand began to pull from her hand. Grasping it tighter, she uttered::

"Finite Incatum"

::Her simple spell broke the accio charm and wand still firmly in her hand, she fell to the floor. Stealth had taken her by surprise. She had thought the sleeping spell would give her time to think, yet he had somehow managed to break free and reverted to a simple spell that had caught her off guard. Deciding that she needed to try a different tactic, she fired spells towards stealth as quick as possible, hoping one at least may hit::

"Aguamenti maximus...Difindo Stealth's arms...Incarcerous...Langlock..."

Stealth knew that time was running out and that this was his last chance...

He saw the flurry of Skyla's spells rush towards him. Time for a different sort of spell. He gave thanks for the months he had spent in France as a child. The words of the kindly old Maitre Bourdon came to him...

"Parapluie - grand et puissant! Protégez-moi!"

In the nick of time, a large, powerfully constructed umbrella appeared directly in front of him. The spells bounced of - it was, after all, a wizarding umbrella - all except for the Diffindo, which sliced into the unfortunate thing and shredded the fabric.

Stealth dropped it - after all, it was expendalbe and his arms weren't.

Now - a final distraction...

"Attaque par les nains rabiques!"

A pack of seven rabid dwarves appeared from the air in front of Skyla. They immediately attacked her, jumping up at her, trying to steal her watch, generally being a really distracting nuisance (as rabid dwarves do).

"Expelliarmus!"

Would this final ploy work?

::With the rabid dwarves climbing over her, she was too preoccupied to stop the expeliarmus spell. Laughing, she managed to push her way past the dwarves and over to her oponant. Holding out her hand, she admitted defeat.::

"Good match stealth wizard - but if we meet again, I shall be more prepared :D "
