| Raistlin entered the room grumbling. First last term’s duel winner and now term one 3rd classified “Elfie must be trying to get me eliminated in the first round! Anyway let’s get to work”.
From his pockets Raistlin took four objects: a bottle with sea sand, a Kappa fossil, a piece of coral and a large bottle with water from the five oceans. Raistlin placed each item in each corner of the room.
After doing that, Raistlin chanted:
“Oh mighty Poseidon,
God of the Seven Seas
Bearer of the Trident
Please turn this place
Into one of yours
Magnificent Domains!”
The bottle with water broke and spilt the water to the ground but instead of getting empty the bottle kept pouring water. Raistlin had now quickly to perform two spells.
Pointing the wand to his ribs Raistlin casted “수중 호흡.(Underwater Breathing in Korean)!” now he could breath underwater. The room was by this time half full. So Raistlin pointed the wand to his throat and spelled “Voz de Sereia (Mermish Voice in Portuguese)!”. Raistlin could now speak freely underwater.
When the room was completely full Raistlin headed to the objects he had previously placed. First the sea sand, pointing his wand at it he casted “غطاء الزجاج. (Glass Cover in Arabic)!” a wall of glass covered the room except the door from where WaterLily would make her entrance though the water would not flow when she opens the door. Even if Waterlily destroys the wall she will still have to destroy his other three following protections to end the water in the room.
Next Raistlin headed for the second object, the Kappa fossil “עורר (Animated in Hebrew)!” he shouted. The fossil sprung into life and look at him viciously. It’d know how to take care of itself if WaterLily tried to attack it.
Third he went for the coral piece and casted “Wuchsgeschwindigkeit (Growth Speed)!” the tiny piece of coral grew until it covered a whole wall of the room when it stopped Raistlin shouted “Dereler zehirle (Poison Streams in Turkish)!”. In case WaterLily tries to vanquish it it won’t leave without sending a stream of poison to her which would enter her blood stream reach the neurological center and cause her to fall asleep.
Finally the broken bottle from where water was still pouring renovating itself and keeping the water in the room clean. Pointing his wand at it he spelled “Арктический Вихревый бассейн (Arctic Whirlpool in Russian)!” a whirpool of freezing cold formed around the bottle preventing anyone to get near it.
The water in the room was too clear for Raistlin’s taste though he could be spotted easily so he casted “Zee Mist (Sea Mist in Dutch)!” and the water become cloudy.
“That’s better” Raistlin said “Just one final protection or two and I’m good to go. Fluidez Aquática (Water Fluidity in Portuguese)!” Raistlin could now gracefully move underwater and he could also mix himself with the water if he needed to dodge a spell.
Swimming in circles Raistlin waited for WaterLily…

| ::Having just come back from the island paradise of Barbados, WL hovered outside the duelling room. She could hear some sort of odd gurgling noise inside, and it sounded oddly like...water? Spending a week with the mermaids kind of made WL more sensitive to water...Sighing, (she had just regained her ability to walk, now she had to swim again?!) WL cast a bubble head charm on herself and apparated into the room (God knows what would happen if she had opened the door!!)::
"Protego!" WL protected herself immediately against any attack that Raist could have sent her way, while changing her form so her lower half was a fish tail, but she wasa still human on top. As she cast her ordinary protection, alerting and Anti-disapparition spells around her and on the room, she surveyed her surroundings. There seemsed to be a shiny glass surface on the outside of the room and a layer of sharp coral in different patches. "Chikkat tel maro" WL released a stream of crude oil so that it completely covered the coral patches, rendering the coral useless and dead. She kind of regretted that, since it was pretty, but what had to be done, had to be done.::
"Lumos Solem Persona" WL illuminated the room, in her eyes only. In the centre of the room, there was a bottle and a rocky sort of fossil. Deciding that she didn't really want to attempt to destroy them yet, she cast a permanent barrier around both of them so that they were trapped in place and would not come after her when she was otherwise occupied.
Since she could not spot Raist yet, she decided to draw him out into the open by shooting spells into all directions. Stupefy, incarcerous, petrificus totalus, etc were all quite common, but still did the job she wanted. She had spotted her "enemy" (he was her friend really, so maybe "opponent" would be a better word to use). Playing it safe for the start, WL lowered the pH of the water they were in gradually. Her complicated wand movements were hard to follow, even if Raist could see her clearly...she only had to pause midway to put on protection against the acidity. A quick flick of her wand conjured up an "all-conditions-wetsuit-for-mermaids" on her body and her wand also had a protective cover. "Aqua acido" was not a spell to be messed with as it increased the level of H+ ions in the water. Raist would be feeling the burning corrowsive effects pretty soon, and not very pleasantly.::
