ROUND 1: GROUP 1 : Duck the duck V Waterlily

Amy walked into the duelling arena, her wand outstretched and eyes sharp just in case WaterLily was already there.

The sconces in the walls flickered, the orange flames casting eery shadows across the room, making the corners dark. Amy wondered if WL was perhaps hiding in a darkened corner, and so before advancing any further into the arena, she cast a strong protection spell upon herself, followed by a spell that had been a lifesaver in the duels last term: whatever spell was cast upon Amy by her opponent would simply reflect back.

This done, she muttered "Lumos" and cast her wand light into the dark corners, looking to see if her opponent was there yet.

She didn't seem to be, and so Amy had some time to plan what she would do. She looked around the room, at the tall ceiling with wooden rafters. And that was when she got an idea..

"étapes en métal" (metal steps) She said, and a series of metal rungs appeared in one of the stone wall columns. Placing her wand securely in her wand holster, and began to climb the rungs, wincing slightly as the cold metal bit into the skin of her palms. A few minutes later, she reached the top of the rungs and climbed onto one of the wooden rafters. She then vanished the rungs, and looked down at the room.

From here, she was at a good vantage point and would be able to see when WL entered the arena, and hopefully get in the first attack.

::WL knew that Amy had a hundred and one tricks up her sleeve, and that this duel would not be easy. What would I do first in a duel?... Height, Invisibility, and Protection... WL readied herself outside the duelling arena and tapped her head with an invisibility charm. As she opened the door, she knew that Amy would be somewhere above here, so she whispered a quiet “Point me” to her wand as she entered.

The wand spun in her and eventually tilted up towards the ceiling into the rafters. WL could see the soft outline of a person, and could safely assume that it was Amy based on the facts that wands don’t lie...WL quickly conjured up a delayed snowdrift in the area directly underneath Amy and charmed it to form snowballs that would launch at Amy when she reached a particular height above it,

“Aguamentia Impedichronos”

WL wanted to make sure that she had covered all of the HIP points so she set up her normal alerting charms around her and levitated herself from the floor...As she flew up, she cast a small Stupefy at Amy and watched it hit...the snowballs had started...::
