ROUND 1: GROUP 4 : Rigby dumbledore V Rhiannonmei

June tip-toed into the room and swiftly looked around. She saw no one and cast a disillusionment charm on herself as she prepared for her wait. Falling into a duelling stance in the corner of the room, June kept her eyes and ears trained for anysense of her opponent.

After a while, when no one else had entered the room, June thought about how to turn this situation to her advantage. She waved her wand and muttered, "invisible speculum tutela." (invisible mirror protection). Now, there was a shield of invisible mirrors surrounding her. If anyone shot a spell at her that she couldn't block, it would just bounce off her shield. Pointing her wand at the torches lining the wall, June said, "estinguere," (extinguish). The torches' light was extinguished as June went on with her plan. Illusione di subacqueo aurora borealiswas the next spell that June used. It created an illusion of being underwater around the whole room, and also an illusion of the lights of the aurora borealis mixed in with the moving water. "Perfect," June whispered.
Just one last touch." She waved her wand and said, "turno verso ghiaccio (turn to ice)". Suddenly, the whole floor of the room became a thick sheet of ice. With a tribuo mihi iceskates (give me iceskates), June's feet were fully equipped for motion. now all she could do was wait. Then she was struck by an idea. She then waved her wand at the whole room and said, " Planto illa amplexus incendia testimonium (make these surroundings fire proof)." June smiled as she cast an incendio at a patch of ice and there was no harm done to the frozen water. Now I'm ready, she thought.

Rigby entered the darkened dueling chamber, momentarily dazzled by the crazy lights, and promptly fell on the icy floor.
“Congelo Vicis!” {freeze time} she yelled desperately. Now she had 30 seconds to figure out what was going on here.
“Lumos!” The light from her wand failed to reveal her opponent, but she knew June had to be here somewhere.
“Protraho” {make known} she cried and suddenly the mirrors encircling June became briefly visible. Aha! So that’s how you did it, Rigby thought.
Time around her was beginning to state again, so she got in dueling stance and pounced the moment it caught up to her.
“Rumpus Mirriors!” {shatter mirrors} she said. The mirrors shattered, exposing June. I hope you don’t get bad luck for breaking invisible mirrors! As soon as June was fully visible, Rigby dodged to the left, albeit a little gracelessly since the floor was still slippery. She pointed her wand to ceiling and yelled “Lux Lucis Sicco” {lights out}. The lights were instantly lost to complete darkness.
Silently Rigby raised her wand to her eyes and performed the Nox Noctis Visum Spell, giving her full night vision in the room. Seeking out her opponent, she raised her wand and cried, “Glacialis Pes!” Hopefully the frozen feet spell would keep June in her place.

June grimaced. She cast "Fondere ghiaccio (melt ice)" on her feet and they were now free. Skating away, June then said, "Inpenetrable fuoco prova ghiaccio protezione (inpenetrable fire proof ice protection)," which created a shield of ice that rose up around her, protecting her. June followed that with Lasciare me sparare eliminato (let me shoot out) allowing her to shoot spells out from behind her shield, without anything happening to it.

Time for the offensive, now. June said, "Lenzuolo di aurora borealis leggero recinzione e gabbia (sheets of aurora borealis lights surround and cage),". Sheets of aurora borealis light immediately appeared and surrounded Rigby, keeping her caged and dazzled. While she was occupied, June said, "Fuoco prova igloo (fire proof igloo)." A huge igloo of fire proof ice rose up from the floor and covered Rigby and the aurora borealis lights. As a back up, June cast an Elettrico fiamma ritardo (electric flame delay). If Rigby got out of the igloo and the lights, then at June's specific charm, bolts of electric flame would attack Rigby.

One last touch, June thought. "Occhio da gatto occhi (cat's eyes)!" Now June's pupils transformed into those of a cat's and the darkness became clearer to her.

Suddenly, having a sudden idea, June nonverbally cast Negare protraho (negate protraho spell) , causing Rigby's spell to disappear.

Nobody puts Baby in the corner, thought Rigby. She was stumped at first on how to get out of June's trap, but then she remembered that you can apparate inside a dueling room. Without wasting anymore time she apparated behind June. Her opponent was still watching the Lite Brite igloo, waiting for Rigby's break out. Watching June watching for her gave Rigby the time to think of a punishment for her. She went throught the spell catalog in her head before deciding that sometimes simple is the best way to go. First thing's first. June was obviously using some kind of protection, so Rigby cast the disarming spell on her, "Expelliarmus!". Before June could react she pointed her wand at her and shouted, "Tarantallegra!". The spell forces the victim's legs to do a crazy dance-which is unfortuantely how Rigby danced naturally. There, that should keep you busy while I make myself scarce, thought Rigby. She apparated back to the igloo so June could not attack her.

June cursed as she heard Rigby shout the spell. She sidestepped the Tarantallegra and spotted Rigby apparate back into the igloo. June caught her wand as it fell and cast, "Eldur sönnun og lausn sönnun ískaldur verndun (fire proof and solute proof icy protection)." Any spells shot at June would be reflected back at the caster because a wall of ice would suddenly appear before the spell's destination. June smiled because she had made the shield fire proof and solute proof: Rigby wouldn't be able to pour ice or flour or any other solute onto the ice to cause it to very slowly melt. Unfortunate for Rigby though, June hadn't made the igloo that way. "Aguamenti Maximus (basically aguamenti tenfold)!" she cried and water gushed out of her wand, speedily melting the igloo. "Finite incantatem," June said, canceling the Aurora Borealis lights. Rigby was now clearly vulnerable.
Now it was time for her special trigger attack. "Incendio!" June cried and the Electric flame attack she had cast earlier activated. Tens of bolts of electricity mixed with fire shot towards Rigby from all directions. June bit her lip as she hoped her attack would work, but as she also hoped that Rigby wouldn't be hurt (much).

Rigby watched in horror as the bolts of electricity shot towards her, since she was a little wet from when June had melted her igloo. Lucky for Rigby she was a Ravenclaw and therefore able to think quickly even on her slightly soggy feet. She pointed her wand at the bolts and yelled "Ostendo Sum Alica!" (Reverse Spell) and watched as the bolts went flying back towards June. Anticipating that June would be able to block, she quickly hurled another spell at her, "Silens Os" (silent mouth), hoping to keep her opponent quiet for few moments. Then without waiting to see the results she whilrled in place and performed the Evanui In Scaena (Disappear into Scenery) Spell. Now June would not be able to see her.

Smirking, June nonverbally cast Ostendo Sum Alica (reverse spell) at her electric bolts. So Rigby had cut off her voice... the girl was smart... but not as smart as she thought she was. By cutting off her voice, Rigby had practically forced June to use only nonverbal spells... giving June the much needed element of surprise.
Nonverbally, June cast Deixe-me ver calor (let me see heat). The spell worked as expected and suddenly, every living thing gave off a glow that only June could see. Easily spotting Rigby as the only human-shaped glow of light, June cast Petrificus totalus maximus!. The spell would freeze Rigby (not literally) for one minute longer than the ordinary Petrifus Totalus spell would.
Nonverbally, June cast one last touch: Pumatay penguins salakayin kailan siya galawin (killer penguins attack when she moves). This last spell was a delay spell. The instant Rigby made any type of movement, June's killer penguins would sense it and attack.
Their surroundings were mostly made of ice... the Penguins were in their element...

June then nonverbally cast Zamrznuti (freeze) and the water that soaked Rigby instantly froze into sheets of ice and also little ice chips.

Flesh eating penguins? What's next, thought Rigby as she fought to get herself unfrozen. She needed to unfreeze and get some distance between her and the penguins so she could deal with them, then June. Rigby was angry enough that some of the ice was melting from body heat alone, but it would take hours to unfreeze like that. "Coctura Asper!" (Melt Ice) she thought to herself and the ice instantly melted, leaving her a bit wet, but mobile again. Quickly Rigby ran a few yards away, the penguins slowly waddling after her. She hated to use this spell, since she was normally quite fond of penguins, but she couldn't fight them and June at the same time. She offered a silent apologies to the heavens and cried, "Famelico Polar Bear, Aggravo!" (hungry polar bear appear) and turned her eyes away from the sight of the polar bear chasing after the penquins, who had turned and were trying to slide on their bellies in retreat. It was up to June to save them, but not before Rigby was done with her. She pointed her wand at June and yelled, "Nihil Cantatio Conclave!" (No Spell Cage), encasing June in a cage where spells could only pass into, not out of. Rigby was safe at the moment, free to think of a spell that would hopefully make the penguins and the polar bear disappear, she couldn't help feeling sorry for the wizard eating penquins, who were fastly losing their battle against the polar bear.

Oh crap... now June was in a cage within a cage... Unfortunately, June's shield didn't work against passive spells... Thinking extremely hard, June made up a spell on the spot and sincerely hoped that it would work. Waving her wand in a simple slashing motion, June nonverbally cast Rompere gabbia (break cage). Since the cage was invisible, June cast a trial spell to see if her spell had worked. Casting Rinforzare pinguino (strengthen penguins), June smirked when she saw that her spell had worked: her penguins were now battling the polar bear with more strength than before.

Suddenly, the lightbulb went on in June's head. Why waste her penguins' energy, when she could simply take the polar bear away? Nonverbally casting Duratura evanesco (permanent vanish) [Rigby had really done her a favor with that Silencing spell], June made a horizontal corkscrew motion with her wand and enjoyed the sight of the polar bear disappearing with a pop. June wasn't sure where she had sent it, but she hoped it was somewhere safe... like Antarctica perhaps. Turning once more to Rigby, June cast Energia esaurimento (energy depletion). The spell, if it worked, would quickly deplete Rigby's energy without her realizing it. AS she grew weaker, Rigby would just think she was getting tired.

Not wanting to use her shield too much, June cast Protego maximus ritardo (maximum protection delay). The next spell that Rigby threw at her would immediately rebound back onto it's caster.

Rigby watched with sadness as June made her polar bear disappear. It had been pretty cute, and her opponent had left her flesh eating penguins behind and they were once more coming towards her. Trying to buy herself some time she cast expelliramus to disarm June. To her horror the spell rebounded off June and Rigby's wand went flying. Darting quickly towards her where her wand lay, she threw herself onto it. Graceful? No, but Rigby had her much needed wand back.

Now she only had two choices, she could either banish the cuddly waddlers of death or sic them on June. Deciding the latter would be more fun she pointed her wand to the penguins and shouted, " Ostendo sum Tentatio!" (reverse attack). The penguins now switched direction and went after June, whom they were much closer too. Rigby racked her brain for a spell that would keep June from simply deciding to banish the penguins, and finally came up with on. Pointing her wand firmly at June she yelled, "Diligo Oculus!" (love eyes). This would make June love all that she saw, including Rigby and the penguins. Hopefully the lovefest would continue until the little flippered beasts were on top of her opponent. Rigby watched as June's eyes appeared to dilate, as one in love. It looked like her spell was working! Unwilling to take chances Rigby raised her wand to attack with another spell, but her arm felt heavy. In fact her whole body felt weak and heavy, like she had spent two days in bed with the stomach flu. Maybe she should sit down and watch June try ro fight on the flesh eating penguins, she could even take a little nap. The Diligo Oculus spell was partiicularly strong, and it was one of Rigby's best spells. She just didn't have the energy to fight anymore...

June saw Rigby turn her beloved penguins against her. Eyes narrowing, June prepared to cast a spell, but suddenly stopped as a jet of pink light flew at her. June's eyes dilated at the sudden appearance of a bright light and blinking rapidly, shook her head slightly. June knew that the light was a spell... but she wasn't worried. When the spell reached June, June just stood there and waited for what she knew would come. She was not disappointed. June's shield kicked into action and to June's delight, a sheet of ice rose up from the floor and crumbled when it blocked the pink jet of light. June sighed in sadness as she remembered that the ice-shield spell only worked once and it took a large amount of power to cast it. 'Oh well,' June thought. 'Atleast I still have my wand.'

Turning to the penguins, June twirled her wand between her fingers faster and faster as she contemplated what to do with the penguins that were rapidly approaching her. Taking pity on Rigby's sluggish state, June waved her wand at the approaching penguins and cast, "Evanesco." Immediately, the penguins vanished and it was just June and Rigby facing off on the sheet of ice. "Stupefy!" June cast at Rigby.

Rigby saw June easily block her spell, and just as easily vanquish the demented penguins. June cast a stupefy spell on her, but Rigby had suddenly slumped to the ground, the spell missing her by mere inches. What had that crazy girl done to her? Rigby tried to figure out what was wrong, but her thoughts were slow and sluggish, she was just so drained of all energy...wait! That was it! June had cast some kind of energy sucking spell on her. She slowly swam out of the foggy depths of her mind, raising her wand to her head and yelling, "Nervusim Decursio! (Energy Charge)". Suddenly Rigby felt herself pumped up, like she had just done two shots of pure caffiene. Narrowing her eyes at June, she quickly volleyed back her own stupefy spell, and then for the grand finale Rigby searched deep for the best spell to deal with June. Time was running out on their duel, all she could really do was keep June from attacking while the clock counted down. "Conglutino!" (To bind). There, Rigby thought, satisfied by the spell, that should keep June until the duel is over.
