ROUND 1: GROUP 4 : Silverlady V Rhiannonmei

Interesting, June thought when she entered the room and no one was there. She decided to make her surroundings to her advantage and waved her wand. "fare questo pavimento un rainforest (make this floor a rainforest)", the floor and the walls became as if they were in a rainforest. Then June cast, "Rainforest anifail seiniau (rainforest animal sounds)," and the sounds of the habitants of the rainforest filled the air. June smiled in delight at her magical ability when she surveyed the results of her spells.
Just a few more, she thought. June whispered, "Contego sero ut permoveo protego (shield plants that move to protect)," and a few ferns and bushes appeared, randomly placed on the rainforest floor. If a spell was shot at June, and she didn't block it, the plants would move and jump to intercept and absorb the spell. Just one last touch. June said, "Planto illa amplexus incendia testimonium (make these surroundings fire proof)," and smiled when she heard felt the magical tingle that assured her that the spell had been cast correctly. Casting a disillusionment charm on herself, June hid behind a tree and waited.

Cristina entered the duelling grounds that looked like the wildest rainforest. She shook her head and smiled. She could imagine June was hidden somewhere between the leaves, but at first, she wanted to protect herself.

She first used the "Cuerpo abrasador" (burning body, Spanish) spell, that transformed her body into a mass of fire - this spell had two main arguments for it: even if the surroundings were fireproof, Juna couldn't attack her with plants or actually any other solid objects, they would just go through her. And she was much faster in avoiding and starting any attacks now.
Then she used "Elektrischer Schock beim Angriff" (electric shock at attack, German) - a very effective spell that put electrically loaded, high voltage cords around the field that were ready to unload on June at the slightest spark which Cristina would create with her wand when hit. After all, her body was all fire and the electricity couldn't harm her.
Then she waved her wand at the ground and thought "aarde schild" (earth shield, Dutch). This made 6 man-high, thick shields arise and dance in mid-air around her. They could stop June's attacks and prevent June from having a clear target. To be able to see through the shields herself, she applied the "zie door de aarde" (see though the earth, Dutch) spell, that allowed her to see through all the earth, not just the one in front of her, but also the one underneath her.

June saw Cristina put up her protections. She noticed the Electric Shock attack spell, but paid it no mind,; she knew that her plants would protect and absorb the spell for her. Waving her wand, June said, "Aquamenti Maximus! (lots of water, basically)". Out of her wand came a powerful and continuous stream of water that doused Cristina's fiery body so her human form stood there.. As the water overcame Cristina's fire , it also soaked her earth shields. June's next spell was congelare (freeze). Sheets of ice formed over the earth shields and the water inside the shields (it soaked in) expanded as it froze, breaking the shieldds apart and making them fall to the ground. //weathering and erosion! lol\\. June smiled as her spells did their magic. Now she could go on the offensive.

She said, "albero attaccare (trees attack)" and the rainforest trees attacked Cristina.

Cristina saw herself put into a pretty bad situation - no fire body, her shields destoyed and attacked by furious trees. But she was quick - even befoireshe was hit, she whispered "Cuerpo electrico (electric body, Spanish) and now her body was a raging ball of electricity that set off her electric trap. The electricity released was like a powerful lightning and burned the attacking trees and the plants around June immediately, in fact turning the whole battlefield into a black ash desert. Unfortunately for June, her disillusionment charm had been just a fragment of a second too slow in adapting to the new environement and Cristina saw where she was hiding. She immediately thought "управление земли" (earth control, Russian) and pointed her wand to the ground under June's feet, ordering it to swallow June.

June said, "Ala di aereo (wings of air)" as she saw the earth crack and she rose up high into the air. She then cast nonverbally, nuvole di protezione e riflessione (clouds of protection and reflection. Clouds appeared around her and would protect and reflect back spells of any type that might be shot at her. June then said, "Congelare il terra (freeze the earth)". The earth, in the act of cracking, froze in place. "Ucello (birds)," June summoned a swarm of birds. "Engorgio!" the birds grew until they were the size of flying turkeys; "Oppugno!" then teh birds flew to attack Cristina. But unbeknownst to Cristina, June also nonverbally cast Di andata e ritorno verso a vita e trattenga (return to life and restrain) around the surroundings. In one minute when the spell would take full effect, the now ashy surroundings would return to green life and every plant living would try with all their might to restrain Cristina.

Cristina ducked to avoid the birds, threw a stone into the air and shouted غيّرت" داخل تنين!" (Transform into a dragon, Arabic). It was an immense dragon, a Norwegian Ridgeback, and it was enough for him to spit fire once in order to fry birds. Cristina grinned, then noticed that her dragon was slowly turning towards her, intenting to turn her into a steak. Are you out of your mind?, she thought, glaring at the dragon. But there was no discussing with a dragon, so she sighed, swished her wand, and the dragon was a rock again.
Anyhow, June was still high up and that cloud around her didn't look good at all, so she decided to get rid of them. "Pioggia!" (rain, Italian), she shouted and it began to rain heavily , dissolving June's clouds, too. Then she reckoned she'd better use the weather she'd conjured anyway and whispered "Lampo!" (lightning, Italian). At that particular moment, she really wouldn't have liked to be in June's place, who was so high up that the lighting was very probably to chose her as the closest place to unload. She bit her lip, hoping that June would nevertheless be okay and that she hadn't overdone it.

June saw the lightning begin to form and bit her lip. SHe had to think fast and get out of what could become a nasty situation. Casting, "Disperdere in polvere (disperse into dust)," June became insubstantial and the atoms making up her body became dust. The lightning struck the ground, and when it was safe, June cast the counter charm and became herself again. Now, the minute was up and the plant life began to attack Cristina. Then she said quickly launched a barage of spells towards Cristina; they were: Stupefy, tarantallegra, rictumsempra, expelliarmus, relashio, and incendio. In case those didn't work, June cast, " Ohrenschützer (earmuffs)", conjured a mandrake, and poked it with her wand to make it bawl. The mandrake's cry rang out and June nonverbally cast,"Unbesiegbar (invincible)," on her earmuffs, just in case Cristina decided to do anything to them before she (hopefully) passed out.

All that range of attacks..... and the mandrake... that was too much for Cristina... she fainted and fell to the floor. During her fall, all she could do was cry for help.

As she lay on the ground, she thought felt a warm body and some flutter around her, then a sweet cry.....

After a while she woke up and saw a glistening golden bird fly away to the horizon..... what was that? A phoenix?

June saw the phoenix disappear in the ball of flame and sighed. I suppose you have to finish the first round of the duel before someone can pass out, she thought.
"Incarcerous," June muttered and with a wave of her wand, vines that hung down from the trees shot towards Cristina. While Cristina was still dazed, June cast, "Rainforest scimmia (rainforest monkeys)" and a dozen rainforest monkeys appeared to play in the rainforest trees. Transforming into one of the monkeys herself, June scampered away to join to crowd and hide.

Cristina was still slitghtly dizzy, but she she tried to shake it off and concentrate on the monkeys.. err... on June. She concentrated, waved her wand, and said "Bananen" (bananas XD, German) and ta-daa - an enourmous pile of bananas appeared in front of her - the monkeys weren't going to withstand this! Then she did a non-verbal spell on them - "Zeige die wahre Form" (show the true form, German) - which would transform June back to her usual self if she followed the other monkeys and ate a banana. And if she wouldn't, all the same, she would just have to pay attention which monkey didn't come to eat a banana (or more XD) .. and after all, monkey were monkeys and they would probably all come to their bananas...

June narrowed her monkey eyes as the bananas suddenly appeared. It had to be a trick, she thought. Nonverbally casting Banane (banana), a banana inconspiciously (sp?) appeared in the stack of bananas and as the other moneys went to the bananas, June went too. She got hold of her banana before any other monkeys did, and she ate it. Yummy, she thought as she chewed. Using another nonverbal spell, June cast Pluie bananes (raining bananas) and a huge bunch of bananas fell towards Cristina from above her.
Casting one last spell, ・アト 陀羅尼 さ・, 無敵 丁 (if a spell comes, invincible block), June settled down to wait for Cristina's rebuttal. THe spell she had just cast would block and reflect any spell that Cristina aimed at her. A plus of this hard-to-learn spell was that it was also invisible.

"Bananaaaaaaaaas!" , Cristina yelled, running around and trying to protect her head. She cowered down and counted to ten, go regain her nerves. But of course!, she thought. She thought "Преобразуйте к воде" (transform to water, Russian) and suddenly, the bananas where dropping though her - clean and fresh, too - just perfect for the cute little monkeys to come and eat them. Now though, she had to somehow start an attack on June.

But how, she thought, if June can block all my spells? Hm... I think it only refers to spells I directly cast her... She grinned. I could summon some kind of monster... but I think that would be to easy... She mumbled "Buharlaşma" (don't evaporate, Turkish) and pointed to her own water body. Then she shputed "Ağaçları kes" (cut the trees, Turkish) and all the remains of the rainforest were now gone, too. Nice. Her next spell was "Bu yerdeki bir çölü yarat." (create a desert, Turkish)
"Hey June, that's not exactly a nice habitat for monkeys....", Cristina said ,"I promise I'll stop this after you transform back, I don't want to break any animal-rights laws.." ....But in order for you to transform back, I daresay we need a little extra sun, she thought grinning and performed the "Maksimal güneş ışığı sıcaklığı"-spell (maximum heat of sunshine, Turkish). Wheeew, it was getting hot, hot, hot and June was bound to have pity for the monkeys and transform back soon.

Although, Cristina thought, I can't attack her anymore after this, because now each of us already had 6 moves... She went up to the monkeys - ah there was one holding a wand - so stupid of her not to have recognized it earlier. "Come on, June," she said smiling and stretching out her hand for June - or the monkey - to shake it. "let's go, we both need some rest. It was fun dueling you. We need do it some other time, d'you agree?"

They had just shaken hands, when a door materialized behind June. "Ah, I think they're calling us back. Let's go now... I personally need a shower." She stepped to the door carrying little monkey June, when she suddenly remembered something.."Oh, by the way - Finite Incantatem!" Suddenly, she found herself holding not a monkey, but June, and the whole room was as if nothing had happened.

"C'mon, sis, we need a rest now..."
