GRYFFINDOR Gothic Fashion thread

Amy stood backstage, listening to the sounds of the crowd filling out the seats, the sound being tested and the lights running through they're cycle.

She felt nervous, but excited at the same time. This was to be her first fashion show, and she hoped that she would be able to pull it off, stay calm and look great.

She knew the Gryffindor designs were fabulous, and Swifty's stage and set design flawless...the only thing that could go wrong was if she stumbled on the G-shaped catwalk, or made a silly face.

She looked down at her outfit, and smiled. It was a show stopper, that was for sure. Gothic fashion had always intrigued her, but before she'd never been brave enough to wear them, so this was a new experience as well as an exhilerating one.

Glancing up at the clock on the wall, she saw that there were only a few minutes until the show was due to start.

June waved to Amy behind stage and took a deep breath when Swifty gave her her cue.

Grinning widely, June apparated out onto the stage and sauntered across the right g-shaped catwalk. At the tail of the "g", June posed and admired her outfit while she was sure the audience was doing the same. Her dress was made of a gray/black silk and fit her perfectly. There was a high ruff at the back of her neck and it was fashionable as well as itchy... oh well, the price for beauty could always be paid...

June struck another pose as the stage lights darkened a little and became a light gray.

Amy began to feel even more nervous as she waited whilst June posed at the end of the catwalk.

As June walked back up the G-shaped catwalk, Amy took a deep breath and stepped out onto it. Her first outfit was a classic black dress, in an ebony-black satin material. It was strapless, and the bodice was fitted to the waist. The skirt flared out, the material becoming floaty.

Attached to her back were a large pair of red, feathered wings, and there was a spell on them that made them flutter a little as she walked. She wore a wig of long, dark hair, braided and loose across one shoulder. On her face was a temporary spiders web tattoo.

She stepped onto the catwalk, placing one hand on her hip and then walking forwards, down the curve of the G to the end. There, she stood and posed, looking out onto the crowd, before turning once and striking another pose.

Then, as the beat of the music swelled and the lights danced red-white-red-white, she turned and strutted backstage.

::WL stood backstage, really quite nervous, as she never really wore anything gothic, but, truth be told, her outfit, was stunning. It wasn’t anything special, but with her dark skin, hair and eyes, the black clothing was made even more mysterious and striking. She wore an off-the shoulder loose black top that hung down to her thighs, and tight leggings with high leather boots. Her eyelids were heavily made up and her neck was adorned with at least three black and silver necklaces.::

::WL walked forward down the G sign and posed in front of the audience, hand on hip. Her face showed subtle amusement and she looked down through her heavy lids at the cameras haughtily, as if to tell them that they were privileged to look upon her.

Spinning on her heels, WL tossed her ponytail across her shoulder and started to stalk back down the catwalk, a slight swing to her hips, but walking with poise and grace all the same.::

Amy smiled as she saw the crowd cheering for WaterLily, and got ready to go on again. This time, she was wearing a long black dress with a fitted bodice over the top.

Her hair had been magically dyed black, and was being worn loose over her shoulders. Her eye make up was dark and dramatic, and around her neck she wore white beads. It was an outfit that Amy would not normally wear, but it was a good experience.

Although you couldn't see the shoes she was wearing beneath the long skirt of the dress, they were simply black heels, in patent leather.

At her cue from Swifty, and as the music changed to a darkly dramatic rock song, Amy stepped out onto the catwalk and all of the lights dropped so that the room was in complete darkness.

With every step she took down the catwalk, a light would appear in front of her, lighting her way, until she reached the end of the G. Once there, she posed and waited for a few moments before sashaying her hips and walking back up the catwalk to the backstage area.

June gave Amy a quick thumbs-up and a grin before she walked to her special apparition point. Seeing Swifty give her her cue, June exhaled and inhaled quickly before apparating onto the + shaped stage of the whole g+g stage set. A slightly eerie piece of music began to play while June floated down the stage.

June's hair was charmed gray to match her charmed on gray, feathery wings that lifted her slightly off the ground. She stopped at the intersection of the + and posed in different direction as cameras flashed. June loved modeling gothic-style clothing because it was so different from the type of clothes she normally modeled, so it was as if she was given a breath of fresh air.

Tonight, June's outfit was a spaghetti-strap floorlength black-gray dress with a black lace hem. The top part of the dress was made of silk and felt wonderful against June's skin. To complete the look, June wore black strappy high-heels, and of course, the gray wings.

Flipping her long hair over her shoulder, June turned in a different direction and struck another pose as the audience chattered and a voice-over gave a description of one of G+G's best gothic outfits.
