Pirates of the Carribbean: At Worlds End

Johnny Depp based his Jack Sparrow character partly on Keith Richards, who plays his father in this movie.

I thought it was awesome how Will and Elizabeth got married in battle. I was cracking up. Oh and it was sooo sad when Will kinda got killed...if you wanna call killed lol....but it was awesome that he has know taken over the Flying Dutchman but still sad he only gets to see his love once every ten years. Oh and I want to add how hot Will looked after he was brought back as captain of the ship....sooo fricken hot. He went from ewww to oouuhhh.

Tia Dalma being Davy Jone's love was correct as I predicted while watching movie two. I noticed the similar locket thing. The whole goddess thing wasn't a surprise but not something I expected either.

I love that most of the old characters came back. It makes the movies more enjoyable.

I also love how ordinary items we have seen in the movies, and new ones, we took for granted as just normal items were so important in the movie. I also love how the one-eyed guy now has an eye patch lol

After the credits, in a scene captioned "Ten Years Later," a young boy approximately ten years of age is seen singing "Hoist the Colours" as Elizabeth walks behind him. It is implied that this is the child of Will and Elizabeth. The sun sets followed by a green flash and Will, on the mast of The Dutchman, sails towards the shore..

-The opening was great, and the singing of all the pirates in unison really sets the tone for the film. It was quite chilling...especially the young boy.

-The part at Sao Feng's town was great...you got the sense that he was quite evil but there was also something else. You could also see how cruel that man with the scarred face was (Beckett's man), when he shot the innocent girl.

-The first time we saw Jack was weird, and slightly confusing, but very cool when the crabs carried the Pearl back to the sea. I loved when Barbossa et al. were on the beach, and the first interaction between Jack and the others.

-Will and Elizabeth! They seemed a lot deeper characters in this film than the others, and the part when they got married mid-battle was fantastic and very funny.

-I LOVED that Elizabeth became Captain of Sao Feng's ship, and then that she became King of the Pirate Brethren...and also some of the other pirate captains were hilarious!

-The battle scenes were great, especially after Calypso had churned up the maelstrom...

-The Davy Jones plot worked really well, and OMG I was so shocked when Will 'died'. It was very sad as well...made me choke up a little. But then he came back and I totally agree Cat - he looked very hot!

-Norrington died I thought he was great...a redeemed character.

-Yay Cutler Beckett died! Although I thought it was very noble of him to go down with the ship.

-I loved how ragetti's eye was one of the pieces of eight!

-I loved how those two armada men became pirates in the end!

-And Captain Jack's dad! Keith Richards was fantastic, for the small part he had, and very funny.

-I thought it was sad that Will now has to be the captain of the flying dutchman, and only see Elizabeth every ten years I didn't understand why she couldn't go with him...? And why he just left her there on the Island.

-Captain Barbossa stole the Pearl! And left Jack and Gibbs on that Island place! Although Jack stole the map...so that leaves it open for a third film.

And gah! I want to see the after the spoilers bit, but I didn't stay! Oh well...will be going to see it again, so I'll stay then :D

the little boy made me wanna cry but the singing thing was wonderful. Like you said it sets the tone for the film.

The crabs carrying the Pearl was pretty cool. I was laughing as he started chasing after the ship. Oh and when we first see jack, in Jone's Locker, kind of reminded me of my fear of being alone for eternity. I love how they all find out Elizabeth is to blame for Jack's death.

I think Will and Elizabeth's characters grew. Like Elizabeth doesn't seem as much of a foolish girl like before, at least thats how I see it.

Elizabeth becoming captain of a ship and then king of the pirate brethren was awesome. I think it added more strength behind her and Will's reaction to finding out this was almost as if her were intimidated for a bit.

Norrington dying was sad. He was a great man just got stuck on the wrong side of the playing field.

The way Beckett died was pretty cool. The explosions following him down the stairs, wood around him, and then finally BOOM dead lol.

The glass eye being part of the pieces of eight was awesome. We kept seeing him loosing it every which way, but now we know why he couldn't just buy a new one or an eye patch.

Yes the two armada men becoming pirates in the end was awesome. As soon as I saw them in pirate gear, after thinking them dead from that swinging mishap, I was rolling.

I like how Jack asks his father "Hows Mom" and his dad shows him a shrunken cut off head lol.

Elizabeth probably couldn't go with Will because he has to ferry souls and what not and since she is alive and all she can't go.

Yes the movie is left open for another film. I can picture Elizabeth joining on the hunt for the fountain of youth cause if Will lives for an eternity I think she would want to also.

I wanna watch the movie over to see the end too lol

Oh and about Will being magically hot out of the blue I think it was the pirate gear. Cause before he didnt look that piraty but now...yummm lol all I can say is I am crushing on Bloom again haha

oh i liked the ongoing peanut joke in the movie lol

- the ending - even if it was a bit sad that Will won't see Elizabeth for 10 years, it would have been too much of a forced "let's be happy and pretend the world is all milk and honey"- ending if they stayed together, on land or on the Flying Dutchman, forever and always
- the other pirates at the council.. like the French guy or the Chinese woman.. or the Indian guy xD

Oh, and also when Jack escapes the Flying Dutchman's 'jail' or WHATEVER, and his two clones stays behind and they say something like "A quite charming lad" :D

When Jack starts to rock the ship, and everyone just follows him, trying to figure out what he's doing. It was funny :D

The absolute BEST part of music is called 'Parlay', and it's the music for the part when Will, Beckett and Davy Jones are on the sand spit, with Elizabeth, Jack and Barbossa walking down towards them. It's all guitary and piratey and cool!

The way I understood it is that she can't go because he has a job to do that doesn't include her...I dunno...

someone said that maybe a fourth could start off with Lizzy
looking for the fountain of youth. But then why would they do that 'ten
years later' scene? Would they backtrack in the fourth movie, going
back to the beginning of the ten years? and if so, would Lizzy go
gallivanting about on a ship while she's pregnant? Morning sickness
mixed with sea sickness? NOT a good combination.



another thought I had: this whole one day ashore every ten years thing
is a bit sketchy. what, Lizzy's gonna stay in one place for ten years?
How does she support herself? what if she has to move? how does Will
find her then? does he spend his one day ashore searching for her?



another thing: why does ANYONE have to ferry the souls? it's just a job
calypso thought up for Davy Jones when she wanted to show him that his
dream come true wasn't actually that great. why can't they just let the
souls be? Whoever takes care of the souls that die ashore can take care
of the souls that die at sea, technically speaking.



It was just a handy way to keep Will alive, methinks. They didn't solve
the problem, just dodged around it. I think if there is a fourth film
they should focus on how to do away with the whole 'ferrying souls'
thing altogether...of course, they have to invent a way that will
ensure Will lives XD
