Harry Potter Theme Park

Well, it's been confirmed. There is going to be a Harry Potter theme park, at Universal Studios.

What does everyone think about this? I'm in two minds about it, to be honest. On the one hand, it could be very very cool if done well, but on the other hand it's commercialisation of a book series we love, and is that a good thing?

If you think your bad. Thats nothing. I'll probaly never go. I could if I travel the world like my mum did. Or I could go to university like my dad and get a good job. Difficult choice.

So I just saw on Mugglenet today that they've made a second Ollivander's shop in what used to be storage in the Wizarding World to try to accomadate for all the guests since the average waiting time to get in is something like three hours. Though this one doesn't have the wand selection experience, it's good for anyone who's fine with missing that and just wants to get in and see other things without waiting in line forever. I think it's a good thing cause when I went the line was ridiculous!

I think that if I ever do get to go to the park *crosses finger* that I will have to try and go around Christmas. Just sounds more festive and Harry Pottery to go around Christmas.

I'd love to go around Christmas. However, the only times I can really go is during the summer...I'm hoping I'll be able to go again next summer! O.o

I thought that was just for one night to celebrate the release of HP7 but I could be wrong...I know they're hotel guests get an extra hour at night and in the morning but I'm not sure they're still doing that...

Anyways, when I saw this thing I was amazed and so excited on what it looks like, especially inside the Hogwarts Castle. Then, last night, I saw it on YouTube and the words that came out on my mouth...over and over again is "WOW" and "AMAZING!" haha I would love to visit it Haha! I guess we all do. I was wondering, if I'll have a chance to visit it, maybe I wouldn't want to go to the real world ever again Hahaha! I want to stay there forever. lol xD is it possible? hahaha :D

The inside of Hogwarts was awesome (though I wish it had more inside like the moving staircases) but if you go, you won't want to leave. We should all just move in to an empty dorm at Hogwarts

Ok, so, to everyone who has ridden the ride inside the castle, have ever made it once through the entire ride without it stopping?

I've been on it 4 or 5 times and every time it breaks down in a different place....

Really? I've gone on it twice and it's never broken down for me. Bwahha. Well, not while I'm on it anyway. The first time I went on the wait was really long because something had malfunctioned....but both times I was actually on it it was fine.

You're bad luck I guess.

though the lines have gotten pretty short sense opening, which makes me very happy =D

Aww, that sucks! You should complain to someone and demand it work for you xD Good thing the lines are getting shorter though, they were sooo long when I went. I'm hoping to go again this summer *keeps fingers crossed*

I shall do that! I know one of the people who works in the store. They make her be Harry, and she says it's very hot in the summer XD

Ohhhh I'm pretty busy during that time but you'll have to tell me if you go and the dates in case I can squeeze in some time off work and pop in =D

I love love Universal, there's no question about it, but Disney's been such a big part of my childhood, and I never want to let it go...I've been dreaming of spending my whole life working there sense I can remember, and the chance gets higher and higher every day =D Next year I think I'll apply for a summer job and be that much closer.

I love Disney. I only get to go once every few years but it's so amazing there. I hope you get a job there!

I go every other week. It NEVER get's boring. But I usually get teary-eyed every time one of the touching Disney commercials come on about the kids that are going for the first and maybe only time in their lives. It makes me really appreciate how lucky I am I live next door to the 'Happiest Place on Earth'.

I bought wayyyy too much stuff. Must have been at least half the stores. Everything I saw I was like "I NEED THAT!" *buys*

It was kinda pricy for my taste but I suppose if that many people are willing to buy it they could put the price at anything. xD

I got stuff like a sneakescope, remembrall, maurauders map, quibbler poster, hufflepuff scarf, pillow, errrr candy umm...there mighth ave been a few other things but they're all hanging around my room now. I was bad with how much I bought. O.o

I didn't offically get to go in because the line was three and a half hours to four hours long to get in and I didn't want to wait that long. But I did get to peek in through a back door because a staff member was oh so kind to let me do so. It was pretty cool. Luckily, I already have my own wand so it wasn't a big deal that I didn't get to buy one there. Woooot!

I've got a wand/stick that I found. I wanted to use a pine branch because that trees special to me but they kept up turning into mush so I settled for a random twig that looked like it would survive

Looks like the expansion plans for the theme park are going to be starting very soon! *dance dance*

If they do put Gringotts where the Posiedon's Fury is I sincerly hope that they tear it down and start all over because I've been on that "ride" and it's terrible! Haha. It's not even a ride, really. You just walk through a weird simulation type thing...anyway, I'd assume they'd have to start all over anyway since they'd have to build Gringotts but I hope it's an actual rollercoaster. Hehehe.
