Harry's Blood

Another theory I read elsewhere. We know that in CoS, the basilisk's fang destroyed the diary, which was a horcrux. But we alse know that the fang had pierced Harry's arm, thus covering the fang in blood.

What if it wasn't the basilisk tooth that destroyed the horcrux, but Harry's blood? This would go some way to explaining Dumbledore's look of triumph - Voldemort now has Harry's blood in him...perhaps once Harry has destroyed the rest of his Horcruxes, Harry's blood in Voldemort will destroy him?

It's a thought, anyway.

i also never thought of that, thats a really good theory it would explain the look of triumph in his eyes that sentace always gets me wondering. But wouldent voldemort know that he can't touch Harry blood etc so he wouldent have planned to get his blood

oooooo Thats a really good theory! It would explain why Voldemort couldn't touch Harry, the look in Dumbledore's eyes, and it would show that Voldie has indeed made a mistake.

And it would be like JK to include this in the story

Well now Post-DH we know that Harry's blood kept him alive when Voldemort killed the horcruz in Harry so its really cool to look back and see what people thought before they knew what happened.

Whoa, I'm actually super impressed with this theory...even if it didn't turn out to be completley true since Harry's blood ended up tying him to Voldemort to keep him alive. Still, like stephy, if I'd read this prior to reading DH, I think I would have been a big supporter. Haha

Sometimes the theories are more fun than the reality: this would be a great example of such a thing :D
