Chapter Twenty-Three - Malfoy Manor

What a chapter! Such action!

The first thing that struck me about this chapter is how stupid Greyback seemed compared to the meetings with him before now. I thought it slightly out of place that he was of those rounding people up as he felt himself higher than others.

When at the Malfoy Mansion, I am sure that Draco would have recognised Harry, though he said he was not sure. Could this be a little bit of niceness in Malfoy? ie: when it comes to handing Harry to voldy in order to get him killed, could Malfoy do it?

The torture of Hermione was terrible - I think made even worse because we didnt directly read it, only heard her and saw Rons reactions.

Luna, funnily enough, seemed quite at home in the Malfoy basement. She seemed not to have lost her floaty ways.

And then Dobby came! I shouted with joy - I hoped he would appear in the book!

How wormy died was simply horrible. One tiny reflection of honouring his debt to harry cost him his life. I wonder, the hand came from Voldy, could it have been cursed by Voldy as he knew that one day he would repay his debt to Harry?

And then after their escape, after Dobby saved them, I couldnt believe he died! I was devistated, I actually cried. I couldnt believe that he was there for such a short time and died doing what he always did, or tried to do - saving Harry.

This was a fantastic chapter, for all of the reasons you've already mentioned.

I think we really could understand Ron's feelings for Hermione in this chapter. It must have been horrible, so horrible for him to have to listen to Hermione's screaming as she suffered crucio, and to think of the fact that Greyback was going to be 'given' her afterwards.

Finding Luna and Ollivander in the cell was great, and yeah, Luna didn't really seem fazed by the situation. I was so pleased when Dobby turned up and helped them to escape! And I loved how they got one over on the DE's by snatching their wands.

But then they get back and Dobby dies sad

So sad, and his last words were "Harry...Potter..." sad

I actually don't like Hermione I did but after that chapter she seemed pathetic and silly. She is not strong and through out the book she kept making silly mistakes. But yeah I didn't care when she got tortured.
Poor Dobby I just loved him so much in this chapter.

I loved this chapter mainly becasue Luna was in it Chapter 23 436937

and poor Doby. That was such a sad ending for a chapter

I cried when Dobby died. This was so well written even though it was really scary. I couldn't beleive they were caught.! I was really glad to see luna and ollivander and I liked seing Ron's love for Hermione.
