Chapter 8

Use this thread to discuss the events in Chapter 8 of Deathly Hallows.

I - I don't know what to say, honestly. This chapter was ... just...I don't know. Godric's Hollow, the Dumbledores, the Minister, Gregorovitch....Oh my god. So much happening in one chapter. I'm amazed, to a point where I am at a loss for words. I just can't believe all of it. Oh, and some scenes are just screaming fanfiction! Has JK been kidnapped and replaced by some rabid fan rewriting random things?

I've seen this complaint a lot, but I think it was inevitable. The way she ended HBP was with a set path, and so post-HBP fanfics had a storyline to follow, and a lot of people guessed what was going to happen, evidently correctly.

So I wouldn't say it was fanfiction like...just that fanfiction authors had a good instinct to picking up what was going to happen.

Well whilst I was reading it I was like yeah Krums back dude yeah but then he was mean to Luna's dad lol! I thought he was cool until the other chapter then he was just a dork. I thought that Fleur would not agree to have a wedding at the burrow lol! seems to be not very classy for Fleur lol!

I panicked myself when the patronus came... i couldn't beleive it. I really hated Muriel and I loved Doge for the compassion he showed for DD but I was just as confused as Harry about who to beleive.

I found it strang that Krom was there. I really didn't like it to much, but It had to happen because of the symbol Lovegood was wearing.

I laughed whenever Muriel came although I really hated her. She kept using her age as an excuse to do what ever she wanted.. there was alot of information in this chapter and my brain was spinning after I read it.

I liked that we got a lot of information without having to travel a lot. It was given to us nicely and not rushed but not dragged out either. It was one of my favorite chapters.
