Who is Your Favorite Writer?

Who is your favorite writer, all time, and why?

I'm totally obsessed with John Marsden books. I can't read them too many times, they're fantabulous. I especially like the 'tomorrow when the war began'-series. It's something about their situation that just captures me, and the main character (ellie) I just love. Also, I like letters from the inside which is a brilliant book, even though it's all letters, and I usually don't read those kind of books.

JKR will alway be my favorite but I also love Anne Rice, VC Andrews, Tolkien, Dean Kuntz, Richard North Patterson and Stephen King. (King lives not too far from me)

I remembered my forgotten author! Philip Pullman. His books are great!

Meg Cabot! Her books make me laugh every time.

J.K. Rowling is my favorite writer

She is the only writer who's books I like, I do like other books but not as much as hers.

i have never read a Joseph Delaney book... what all has she written

i love JKR obviously thats a given but i also love anne rice i think her books are absolutly fantastic!

Of all time? That would have to be J.R.R. Tolkien. He created such an amazing world of Arda from scraps of our real world. He created languages, people, myths, legends, and a history. He was an amazing writer and I applaud his works.

Other than that, I'd have to say J.K. Rowling, Harry Turtledove, and Kevin J. Anderson.

I love Laurell K. Hamilton, she is my favourite I'd say.
James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, David Gemmell, JKR of course, Edgar Allen Poe, Stan Rice, Anne Rice, Christopher Rice, Dean Koontz, Darren Shan, there are tons more.

Currently, my favorite writer is Eva Ibbotson. I adore her YA books, and I've just done a search and realized that I read all her children's books years ago...and I had NO IDEA that she was that same awesome writer...yesh. I love her right now. ^^

I agree with Kaylee though I didn't like the second one at all becaue she brought Jacob into the plot! GRRRR!

Uhmmm let's see.. Malorie Blackman, Terry Pratchett (<3), Haruki Murakami, Arturo Perez-Reverte (although I didn't like Captain Alatriste as much as the other stuff I've read by him), JKR ...

I have many authors that I love, but four stick out above the rest. Rowling and Tolkien are my favorite fantasy writers. I love the Divine Comedy written by Dante Alighieri. My absolute favorite author is Jeffrey Deaver. He wrote the Bone Collector (which was made into a horrible movie with Denzel Washington in it), Coffin dancer, and many other suspense thrillers. If you love suspense and twisting plots, I would highly recommend any of his books. They never disappoint me and I am always left guessing until the final few pages.

I think I have two authors that definitley stick out from the rest. Rowling of course is fabulous and has an amazing way of writing but I also really really like Jodi Picoult who writes a lot of amazing novels. Love them both so much (:

My three top favorites are J.K. Rowling (obviously), Stephanie Meyer (squee!) and D.J. MacHale (hehe)

I can't really choose between Sidney Sheldon and JK Rowling..

I love Sidney because of the mysteries in his novel. I really love thinking who is the real suspect in every crime in the book or how the things were turned out to be that way.

And for JK Rowling, I love her for bringing the magical world to life. She did a great job in sharing us a picture of a magical world. Of world where witches and wizards are true. Where magic is a reality. And I think I could really say that she's genius!

Two famous writers

J.K Rowling and J.R.R Tolkien. They are both genius for my opinion I admire them so much. <3

I've got to add George R.R. Martin to mine because his work on A Song of Ice and Fire is amazing!
