| Mistakes I have found in PS
* Petunia Dursley says that Lily would "...come home every vacation with her pockets full of frog spawn, turning teacups into rats...," but according to ministry rules, this is illegal.
* It says that Harry looked up at the Sorting Stool, there were only 3 people left to be sorted, Professor McGonagall calls the names of 4 more people instead.
* In Harry's letter from Hogwarts it says he could bring a cat, an owl, or a toad, but Ron brings his rat, Scabbers.

she says that Petunia is exagerating a little cause of her need to not like magic. Lily only said that she was ABLE to do that... she never did it...

| In certain versions of Book One, One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi is at one point called One Hundred Magical Herbs and Fungi
In Book one, Prof. McGonagall brings out a 4 legged chair with the sorting hat (to the sorting ceremony). In book four, she brings out a 3 legged chair with the sorting hat. What happened to one of the legs?
In Book One, Harry said his birthday was on a Tuesday. However, July 31st, 1991 took place on a Wednesday!

| I noticed Harry's birthday one and the one about 1000 Magical herbs and Fungi.
LOL But most of the time I don't pick up on these things because I am too engrossed in the story.

| ~When Hagrid comes and gets Harry out of the little hut on the rock, they use the boat that the Dursleys used to get to the rock. So how do the Dursleys get off the rock?
~On Harry's equipment list in the letter from Hogwarts, "1 wand" is listed twice. This was corrected quickly and only appears in the earlier versions
~When Hagrid brought Harry to Diagon Alley for the first time, Harry heard a woman say "Seventeen sickles an ounce for Dragon Liver. They're mad." But Hagrid told Harry that there were seventeen sickles in a galleon. So that would be like saying "100 pennies" instead of a dollar. Think of it this way: if the Dragon Liver weighed three pounds, a galleon (or for our purposes, a dollar) per ounce is quite a lot of money.

| Ooh, I have something to add. It may not be right, but the Fat Friar mentions that Hufflepuff was his old House - surely, if he is a member of the Church, he couldn't have gone to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Because don't you have to start illuminating manuscripts and stuff at age 11? (At the time when the Friar was alive, at least). Feel free to bash this theory with anything that comes to hand, by the way | |

| I don't notice much of these mistakes but I read them on mugglenet so now I know. And by the way. The Fat Friar had to have gone to Hohwarts because I think JK Rowling said that all house ghosts were members of the house they represent. | |

| I'm not sure if it's a mistake or if Petunia was just pulling an attitude to be mean to Harry but:
In the first book when Harry tells Petunia and Vernon which platform he is supposed to go on they both just stare at Harry. Then Vernon tells Harry that there was no platform nine and three quarters. However, Petunia should know that there really is a platform nine and three quarters because she was at the train station when Lily went off.
But then again Petunia was probably just being mean.
