* In the first book, Nearly Headless Nick says that he hasn't eaten in "nearly four hundred years." But, in the second book, he's celebrating his "five-hundredth deathday. (I think)

* On page 182 of Book 2, Harry is still in the hospital. But it says: "Harry woke up on Sunday morning to find the dormitory blazing with winter sunlight and his arm reboned but very stiff." He wasn't in the dormitory. He was in the hospital.

* On page 95, it states that Nearly Headless Nick "took several deep breaths, and then said, in a far calmer tone, 'So what's bothering you?'" However, on page 506 of GoF, Myrtle says that ghosts do not breathe: "When I can't ...when I haven't...not for ages..."

At the deathday party, Hermione states that Moaning Myrtle haunts the girls' bathroom on the first floor. However, it is later proven that the bathroom is on the second floor

Ghosts can eat or drink...so how does Headless Nick drink the Petrified antidote?

Jenn, I wonder that too. HOW can Nearly Headless Nick drink it when ghosts can't eat or drink? Maybe the petrification can wear off on ghosts??

I think JK was calling the Hospital Wing 'the dormitory' because after that it says: "He sat up quickly and looked over at Colin's bed, but it had been blocked by the high curtains Harry had changed behind yesterday. Seeing that he was awake Madame Pomfrey came bustling over with a breakfast tray and stretching his arm and fingers."

So I'm assuming when she said 'The Dormitory' she meant the bedding area of the hospital wing.

Has anyone thought about it but in Harry's first year Nick is gonna be 400 years dead so in the second book he has to be 500 years dead.I mean it makes sence
