| The Ballycastle Bats blood bath.
Northern Irelands most celebrated Quidditch team; The Ballycastle Bats went head to head with the kenmare kestrels last night at the Irish national quidditch stadium. The game was much anticipated and the atmosphere buzzing. The stadiums filled with black and emerald green. Each side had been practising very hard for this match. The match was expected to be violent being the final of the Irish games. Each team was playing rough. The first injuries that occurred was upon the kenmare kestrels beater Johnny Dean, who had a bludger hit into his nose. It was mended with a quick bone repairing charm. He then went back onto the pitch in a rage. The next injury that occurred was only 30 seconds after Johnny Dean had re-entered the game. It was a blow to the head by Johnny to the Ballycastle Bats beater Charlie Wordcast. Whom now lies at home resting. He fell 30 feet from the air landing into the arms of the emergency healers there on hand. Johnny was then sent from the pitch and a reserve beater put in place. Though they seemed to want to carry out Johnny Deans work. Grabbing onto the end of a chasers broom the reserve beater managed to snap the broom making it unstable. Lillian Astly after being helped to the ground by her fellow chaser Araminta Spook refused to continue playing and a reserve chaser was brought in for the Ballycastle bats. The game continued smoothly for half an hour with still no sign of the snitch when the reserve beater decided to take action aimed a bludger at the Ballycastle bats keeper knocking him to the ground. The reserve keeper for the Ballycastle bats were brought in. The game continued in this state for sometime before only Araminta Spook was the only A team player left on for the Ballycastle bats. The game was then called to a stop and will resume on the 3rd of October all those with tickets to the original game getting automatic entry. The teams have been warned that any fouls will be treated as a forfeit. Lets just hope that the Ballycastle bats players are fit and ready.

| 5th House Quidditch: HUFFLEPUFF V SLYTHERIN: 31st - 4th “Welcome everyone to this exciting game. Hufflepuff versus Slytherin. Who will win, well let’s find out.‘On the Slytherin’s team there is as their Chasers Jessie and Nancy, their keeper Cat, their beater Agatha and their Seeker Valerie. On the Hufflepuff side there is for their Chasers Dancing and Jenn and their Beater streams. What an interesting game this is going to be.‘Out on the field first is the Slytherin Chaser Jessie who is already in possession of the quaffle. And there there’s another team player dressed in green and I think it’s…. Yes it is Cat. There’s goes the Slytherin Keeper to protect their goal post. From who I don’t know seeing as how there isn’t any Hufflepuffs on the field yet.‘Wait here comes another player and is it…. Another Slytherin. Where are all of the Hufflepuffs at? Well it looks like Nancy. The Slytherin’s co-captain has shown and who is that behind her, its Valerie the Slytherin’s Seeker. So far the field is filled with Slytherin’s and I still have yet to see a Hufflepuff. Did they all sleep in today?‘Wait who is this? Why it’s a Hufflepuff. Finally one of tem showed up. It’s the Hufflepuff Chaser Dancing. It’s a good thing she came when she did. The Slytherin have yet made a move. Look at Dancing go. She hasn’t been on the field for more than a few minutes and she is already flying towards Jessie determined to take the quaffle. She pouches the quaffle out from under her hand and manages to gain passion of the quaffle. Look, now’s she flying down towards the Slytherin’s end…. And she scores and….. Cat catches it. Better luck next time Dancing. Well at least there is some action going on now. Cat then throws the quaffle over towards Nancy.‘Well now there is another Hufflepuff player out on the field. It’s their Beater streams and she doesn’t waste any time. She quickly sends a Bludger towards… wait what is it that Valerie is doing? Is she giving Dancing, a Hufflepuff, a hug in the middle of the game? How unusual for a Slytherin. Even though Dancing had received a hug from Valerie she was able to intercept the quaffle and make a goal for Hufflepuff. Nancy didn’t look too happy about that intercept Dancing, you might want to watch out for her.‘So the score is 10-0 for the Hufflepuffs.‘During that score from Dancing it looks like Streams had sent a Blugder towards Nancy with a… I believe it’s the trademark Badgie Spin move. Nice one Streams but Nancy was able to dodge that bludger without even dropping the quaffle. That’s talent right there. Now Nancy is motioning to Jessie about something. What are they doing? Wait they are doing the Twist of Fate. Not many Chasers really use that move in risk of hurting themselves and now Jessie is in posseion of the Quaffle and she quickly makes a goal for the Slytherins tying the game 10-10‘Wait did Valerie is zooming down the pitch and in front of her is the Snitch. She getting closer, she makes a garb for it….. but she doesn’t catch it. Better luck next time. Well quaffle is back in play and Dancing quickly snatches it up.‘Well now there’s another Slytherin on the pitch and it’s Agatha, the Slytherin’s Beater and boy does she look sick. Wait she is sick, after all she just threw up on Madame Hooch. What a true sport, still playing even when you’re too sick to do so. Agatha just keeps on playing and in no time she quickly sends a Bludger towards Dancing…. And then throws up again. Someone please give her a potion or something.‘And look another Hufflepuff appears, and it Jenn the Hufflepuff Chaser. A bit late but at least she did show up. Anyways she quickly gets on her broom as she tries to warn Dancing from the dangers of the oncoming Bludger attack but Nancy turns up and is able to pry the Quaffle out of Dancing hand’s. Nancy is now heading towards the Hufflepuff goal posts as she is looking for another Slytherin Chaser to pass it to.” Sources:http://hogwarts-experience.heavenforum.org/Past-Season-Quidditch-Matches-f69/5th-House-Quidditch-HUFFLEPUFF-V-SLYTHERIN-31st-4th-t4654.htm | |

| HE Quidditch Weekly- Report for the 17th House Quidditch Match: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor (July 1st-5th)
A Slytherin Chaser, Agatha Black (aka Ame), was the first to enter the pitch for this sure to be epic Quidditch game. From my view up high in the Ravenclaw stands, I (decked out in my Slythindor best, of course) saw her do a few laps to warm up while waiting for the match to start. Soon after, Duck the Duck of Gryffindor (Deputy Head- Amy) came in, and almost lazily flew to her position in front of the Gryffindor goal posts. Beater and Sub-Captain for Slytherin, Raistlin the Wizard (Rai), flew on to the pitch. I felt, almost as if I was in the air myself, the tension and excitement building, as drkangelcat (Cat), a Slytherin Beater, flew up to her teammates. I know of no one who wasn’t itching for this game to start- to see who would come out on top - and I inched forward, eager.
RhiannonMei of Gryffindor (June- Chaser), entered. No longer was Amy the lone Gryffindor! The harsh cry of Madame Hooch’s whistle even hurt my ears, but the Chasers seemed oblivious. June, wasting no time, took the Quaffle and sped down the pitch. But not without incident- a Bludger was headed at her. I watched with bated breath, but shouldn’t have worried. June, an experienced player, simply performed the Sloth Grip Roll, a simple yet effective evasive move, and scored. The Gryffindors did victory dances as the “ding” reached my ears, and I saw the Commentator ring up ten points for Gryffindor. But you can’t expect the Slytherins to let that happen without them retaliating…
Ame was the next Chaser with the Quaffle, and dodged a Bludger as well. Was that- was that the Woollongon Shimmy? Zig-zagging as she made her way down the pitch to throw off opposing Chasers, Ame was able to score! A “ding” identical to the last was rung, and the game was tied. Rai sent a Bludger at Amy while she was collecting the Quaffle; it hit her arms, and the Keeper headed straight for Madame Pomphrey, but was back in the game before you could blink!
Once the Quaffle was back in play, conveniently for the Slytherins it was right by the Gryffindor goals, Ame scored again! amberg93 of Gryffindor (Beater) entered the pitch then, and immediately hit a Bludger at Ame. It wasn’t to hit her- Rai hit a Bludger to hit that Bludger. Amber hit one of them again at the Quaffle bearing Ame, but it didn’t hit. June, displaying the courage that landed her in Gryffindor, suddenly stood up on her broom. I furrowed my brows, puzzled, but then realized her sneaky move when she fell, grabbing the Quaffle from Ame as she went down, somehow landing back on her broom. Clever. She then proceeded to score- a tie game again!
Snapes_girl of Slytherin (Nancy- Captain and Chaser) ran onto the pitch! After a quick apology, she took the Quaffle, then passed it to Ame. Another Bludger was sent at Amber. June had spectacularly, in the moment when the Quaffle was between Nancy and Ame, caught it! Rai, however, wasn’t in the mood to let her score, and sent a Bludger at her knee. I grimaced- there had been many times during practice that such things had happened to me; it’s not fun, but the bruises are beautiful!
That couldn’t stop her, she threw the Quaffle and scored, much to Ame’s annoyance. The Slytherin Chasers began mirroring each other, the Sidekick Serpent Safety maneuver, and scored! June only had time to recollect the Quaffle when Madame Hooch blew the whistle- the game was over.
I let out a long breath that I hadn’t realized I was holding. What a game!

| 24th (FINAL) QUIDDITCH MATCH:
A match of wits and cunning. Its Slytherin and Ravenclaw, on a deadly terms for the Final Quidditch Match of the first Term. With zooming around goal posts, ducking bludgers, indimidation, and the works. Almost better than Mission Impossible; in fact it seemed to be just the same of Mission Impossible, but more like: Match Impossible. Both teams were and still are very skilled. The first goal was scored by Stealth Wizard, with 10 points to Slytherin. The game was looking bad for the two lone Ravenclaw Chasers. Another goal was scored by the current Slytherin Captain and Chaser Fated4hp, adding 10 to their already leading score. Making it 20 to 0. Fated made the next 2 goals with Stealthys assistance. Then Steathwizard or the "stealthman" scored once more for Slytherin making the score a dead 60 to 0. The goals for Slytherin followed as thus: one for Fated, one Stealhy, one Iritzsipv Salazar. It looked like the blood bath was going to continue with the score now 90 to 0. Thank the heavens for the absnece of the Slytherin Keeper, Lifely was able to score a goal now putting Slytherin in the lead by 80. Another goal was scored by Iritzsipv Salazar, followed by a excellent move on Ravenclaw's part where Yun scored. Making the score now 100 to 20. The massacre of points continued where almost every Slythering possession contained a score of 10 points. 10 here 10 there, everywhere a 10, 10, 10 for slytherin. 160 to 20. Ravenclaw made a desperate attempt to regain some points with SIX goals in a row! Now improving the score slightly with Ravenclaw made a difficult and almost prevented goal as Slytherin regained the Qwaffle and made a score. Ravenclaw snagged another goal, and another. Slytherin as well made a goal. Yun Yun improved the Ravenclaws score with another 10 followed by another and another. Fated made another score after Yunyun's interception. YUn made another score followed by another two scores by Fated, one of which was dedicated to Emilia. Lifey regained the pitch with permission from the head mistress to dupilcate, make that, quadruplicate herself the Two chaser lifey's made two scores and the single Fated made two as well. Final: 200 to 160. | |
