| Baby Eggie's DiaryDay 1This morning I took Eggie for his first swimming lesson along with his human friend Freddie. Freddie got on very well, though Eggie seemed to prefer swimming underwater. By the end of the morning class, Eggie had learnt to swim without armbands so as a treat, we took him out for a lunch at the local cafe where he had a big glass of icecream. The afternoon, Eggie had a nap for two hours before having his bottle - chicken milk, and then we took him to the park where he payed on the swings and slides. For dinner, Eggie had beans on toast followed by an apple. That evening, we left Eggie with my mum to babysit whilst we went out to the cinema for a couple of hours. Day 2The morning was spent teaching Eggie how to ride a shetland pony. As you can see from the photo - he didnt look very happy. For lunch, we had a picnic in the local woods with some friends before going to a special egg children play center in the afternoon. Eggie loved the climbing frame until he fell and cut himself - yoke everywhere! We took him to the hospital where he was plastered up and hard boiled (a routine procedure for eggs) before taking him home. He didnt have any dinner as he didnt feel very well so went straight to bed! Day 3Eggie spent the morning at the local creshe when I went to work. He enjoyed playing with his friends with the building blocks. He had grapes for his snack and sandwiches for lunch and I picked him up at 1.30pm That afternoon, Eggie played in the garden and in his padling pool. He feels a lot better today so had salad for dinner Day 4We spent all morning on the beach with Eggies friends and my family. We ate a picnic on the beach and built sandcastles. Eggie swam in the sea but then it started raining so we went home and ate dinner. Eggie went to bed a little earlier tonight as he was so tired out Day 5(to be added) | |

| Day 1
Breakfeast I woke up to the sound of my baby carrying. Looking at my alarm clock I saw that it was five in the morning. I usually don’t get up till eight. I stumbled out of bed and quickly made my way to the baby’s crib. He had to be crying but for what reason. It turns out that he was hungry so I got him a bottle of milk ready. Once he was finished I let him explore the house while I did the necessary cleaning and running that needed to be done.
Lunch Finally dinner came and I had just finished my work. As I went to make myself a sandwich to eat, Fredrick started to cry again. It turns out that he was hungry again. So looking through my cupboards I pull out some mashed carrots for him to eat. It turns out that he didn’t like them so I gave him some more milk instead witch causes him to fall asleep.
Dinner After our nap, I decided to get some sleep while Fredrick did too; I started to make some dinner form me to eat. By the time I had finished eating Fredrick had awoken from his nap and after feeding him I quickly gave him a bath. After his bath I played peak a boo with him until he grew tired and we both went to bed.
Day 2 Breakfeast Once again I woke at five in the morning to Fredrick’s crying. I knew right away that he was hungry so I gave him some more milk to drink. After he had drank all of his milk I let my cousin take care of him for the whole day. They both went to her house for most of the day and also spent a few hours at the park with other children his age.
Lunch During lunch Fredrick was still with my cousin so I decided to get some more sleep before he came back home. By the time I woke up I started to miss Fredrick.
Dinner I ate dinner alone and half a hour before Fredrick’s usual bedtime, my cousin comes by and drops him off. She tells me that he had fed him and that Fredrick had behaved himself which I was glad to hear. I then gave him a quick bath and we both headed to bed.
Day 3
Breakfeast Today I woke up at six but it wasn’t to Fredrick’s crying but to the shouts from the neighbors. Looking into him crib I saw that he was fast asleep and I wondered how on earth he could sleep through the noise. Around eight Fredrick finally wakes up and I quickly fed him his milk.
Lunch Since Fredrick got up late and didn’t have breakfast as early as he usually does, lunch had to be held off for a while until he got hungry enough to eat. About two hours after lunch I was finally able to fed Fredrick his lunch of mashed peas. He just loves his mashed peas.
Dinner
Dinner than comes around and I make myself a quick dinner while Fredrick continues to play with his toys. Once I am finished I play with Fredrick for awhile before he too grows hungry. I feed him which makes him sleepy. Noticing this I gave him a quick bath and put him in his crib.
Day 4 Breakfeast Today I wake to the sound of someone knocking on my door. Opening it I see that my parents have come to see the baby. They then decide that they want to baby-sit Fredrick for the night so I spent almost all morning getting his things together so that he can spend some time at his grandparents.
Lunch Around lunch I finally get his things ready and I see him leave with his grandparents. Once I bide him goodbye I enter the house and make myself a sandwich to eat. Once I am finish I once again miss Fredrick. I sure did wish that Fredrick wasn’t so well loved by everyone. Oh well he will be back tomorrow.
Dinner After I make myself some dinner I call my parents to see how Fredrick is doing. He seams to be having a great time so I then get ready for bed. It takes me a while to go to sleep because I still miss Fredrick.
Day 5 Breakfeast Today I wake at four in the morning hoping that my parents would bring him back home in the morning. I waited in the living room looking out through the front windows but yet they are to come. I then go and pour myself some cereal, still looking for Fredrick. After eight rolls by I call my parents and they say that they will bring him by around lunch.
Lunch Lunch comes around and just as they promised they bring Fredrick. We all spend time together playing with Fredrick until my parents both have to leave. I bid them goodbye and give Fredrick some of his mashed peas that he loves to eat. Once he is finished I play peak a boo with him again until he grows tired and has to go to sleep. After all he spent almost all day with his grandparents yesterday.
Dinner Dinner rolls around and I make a TV. Dinner to eat myself and give Fredrick a little to try, it turns out that he loves the mashed potatoes. Once we are both done eating I get him ready for bed. I give him his bath and we both go to sleep. | |

| Day 1: Today Edna B. woke up very cranky and refused to eat her usual breakfast cereal. Whatever I did, she kept crying and whining until I whipped out a tomato and she calmed right down! She didn't eat it but the shape and color seemed to fascinate her. In the end I got her to eat some applesauce and a butter sandwich with the ends cut off. Since she calmed down and it was a lovely sunny day out, I decided to take Edna to the park. She really enjoyed herself, and her favorite bit was the swing set! Day 2: Edna woke up crying again and refused to be calmed. I hope she isn't going to make a pattern of this...perhaps she isn't feeling well or her throat aches in the morning? It's so hard to tell what's bothering them when they can't talk yet...anyway the tomato trick didn't calm her down today, but her daddy did. He made funny faces and swung her up in the air and soon enough she was laughing. There was a bit of a scare when Edna simply disappeared at one point during the day, but then we found her in the laundry basket, cuddled up and just about drifting off to sleep. Day 3: Today Edna woke giggling and smiling, thank Merlin. She kept grabbing for my grilled cheese sandwich but then dumped it on the floor. Took a deep breath, counted to 10, and had some Cheerios instead. Those Edna likes as well and we shared breakfast. We went out for a walk but Edna slid right out of the stroller and rolled her way down the street. She wasn't hurt except for a slight bump on the forehead but I must make sure to fasten her more securely next time. Day 4: Was raining out so we stayed in. Edna played with her toys and books. That kid sure loves reading! She's a genius, no doubt about it. She's gotten a few new teeth in, that explains her crankiness the last few days and now she loves her teething ring. She carries it with her everywhere and I've made sure to keep an extra handy at all times. Day 5: Edna stood up today! She was holding onto the coffee table, but still, what an accomplishment! She has never crawled so this is a bit odd, but when I rushed to check it up and call a doctor I was assured that this is fine, though slightly unusual. I knew my kid was a genius! She giggled and laughed all day but refused to go to sleep until after midnight. Hopefully she'll sleep a bit later tomorrow so I can get some rest. | |

| Day 1:
Bart awoke quite late this morning. He didn't awake until 10.30 - quite a change from his usual 6.30. He has been in our care for a mere ten days, and this is the first he has woken up so late. Being an unusual child, he again refused to eat the breakfast of squashed banana and milk we provided. Instead he chose to eat a small plate of chopped up salami covered in chili sauce. Personally, I don't know how he can stomach to eat such food in the mornings.
After breakfast we decided to take him to the local Zoo. He certainly enjoyed looking at all the strange animals and was quite taken to the new addition to the zoo - a baby Zebra going by the name of Jamesy. A member of staff at the Zoo allowed us to enter the Zebra enclosure at feeding time and we even got a beautiful photo of Bart with the baby Zebra ! I think he wanted to take the baby Zebra home so we had to explain that Zebras cannot be kept as pets. After having such a late breakfast, Bart was not hungry enough for his lunch. He settled for an ice-cream on the out of the Zoo. Although he insisted on it being covered in tabasco sauce. Strange.
Back at home, Bart settled down to watch Lazytown. He seems quite taken to the show, although he seems to prefer the villian in the show, rather than the nice characters ! He refused to eat dinner tonight, and after playing with next door neighbours dog, he was tucked up in bed at around 9.00.
Day 2:
Well, Bart was up at his usual 6.30 today. He actually managed to eat some porridge with hot milk for breakfast. A proper, healthier breakfast for once. He seemed to be in a terrible, cranky mood though. We were thinking he maybe has a new tooth coming through already - it would certainly make him look a little less ... strange. Anyhoo, decided to take him shopping today and buy him a new toy in hopes of cheering him up.
We got to the toystore at around 1.00. We didn't leave until 5.30, and that was only because the staff had to ask us to leave. Bart insisted on riding around on the trainset instore for an hour and a half. He wouldn't get out of the Bob the Builder ride that was in one corner of the store. When he finally looked at the toys, he couldn't decide what he wanted. Finally, finally, finally, he settled on .... a shaving foam Ken. It has become his one of his favourite toys. He is fasinated at home Ken's beard can be shaved off, yet magically reappear again.
Back at home, Bart ate little of his dinner - potatoes, peas and lamb. He prefered to sit playing with his new toy. He wouldn' go to bed when I told him, again he wanted to play with Ken. Finally he went to bed at around 10.45. He insisted on taking Ken to bed with him.
Day 3: Hrdly seen Bart at all today. Had to wake him at 7.30, to get him ready for the babysitter. He was in an extremely bad mood as he had so little sleep. I had a few things to attend to today, so he was left in the care of Kingstown - a babysitter I found in the Yellow Pages !
On my return at around 5.00, Kingstown informed me that Bart had refused breakfast again, had broken a coffee table in the living room by sawing off the legs with a nail file, and watched numerous episodes of 'Hells Bells : the true life story of being a Hells Angel.'
Having Bart in my care for the rest of the evening, I noticed that the program has had an effect on him. He has twice drawn a picture of a motorbike for me implying that I buy him one. He has also attempted to dye his hair black by colouring his blonde locks in with black marker. He feel asleep on the sofa quite early tonight - at 7.45.
Day 4:Awoke at roughly 8.30. Went to wake Bart only to realise he has a fever and has turned a sickly colour of yellow. After a quick homevisit by the doctor, I was told to simply let him rest in bed for the remainder of the day. He couldn't eat any kind of breakfast, lunch nor dinner. He simply lay in bed playing with Shaving Foam Ken and began to tear apart his former favourite toy - a collectors edition teddy bear. He also declined a visit from the dog next door.Day 5:Bart awoke at 10.00 today, feeling much better than yesterday. Infact, he was basically back to his old self. He ate a salami sandwich for breakfast and proceeded to beg yet again for a motorbike. I compromised with him and said I would take him to see some motorbikes. So off he went to a transport museum where he found the sights of motorbikes wonderful! Manged to get some photos of him atop some model motorbikes, which he enjoyed very much !After a fun day there we trailed back home where I made him his favourite Sizzle & Stir Chicken Tikka sauce with noodles. He gobbled it all down ! We then settled down to watch some television - he now has a crazy obsession with Dog the Bounty Hunter and claims to want to be a bounty hunter when he grows up. He feel asleep on the sofa at around 10.30, so I placed him in bed.
